The Crisis of Violence in Israeli Arab Society
h/t J-Post
[Begin-Sadat center] Arab politicians blame the Israeli establishment for the rampaging violence in Israeli Arab society, but ignore the underlying problems in their own sociopolitical culture that foster that violence.

...Israeli Arab communities do indeed suffer serious problems, including illegal weapons in almost every home, domestic violence, and violence against women. Crime is on the rise in many Arab towns, and inter-clan murders have become routine. Arab MKs blame PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Interior Minister Gilad Erdan personally for what they perceive as a lack of initiative in addressing these problems in the Arab sector.

There are many factors contributing to the pervasive crime in Israeli Arab society, beginning with the structure of the family unit and including certain Arab traditions and customs. There are more issues underlying these factors, like difficult economic and social conditions in the Arab communities and a general animosity toward the Israeli establishment. The combination of elements made it nearly inevitable that the crime rate would rise.

Saturday Schadenfreude: Kamala Harris's staff quits and tells media her campaign is a disaster
[American Thinker] In addition to this article today:
While the field of Democrats running for the party's presidential nomination contains some seriously scorn-worthy politicians, Kamala Harris is the worst of the lot when it comes to dishonesty, hypocrisy, and a willingness to say or do anything to advance her career. When she launched her campaign with a rally in Oakland, I was worried about the organizational capabilities that brought a claimed 20,000 people to downtown Oakland to cheer her on toward the White House. A woman who began her political career by sexually servicing a decades' older powerful male politician who bestowed public office on her should not get anywhere near the Oval Office as its tenant.

Fortunately for the Republic, it's been all downhill for her since then. She's been called out by rivals for her hypocrisies, such as laughing about smoking pot after sending many people to prison for the same acts as a DA. And she has been a terrible manager of her campaign.

Now, as she languishes in the low single digits despite her twofer racial status and cis-female identity politics appeal to Democrats, and as the moneybags donors who call the shots abandon her, her staff is leaping from the sinking ship and dissing her to the media.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran on the Brink
[American Thinker] Uprisings in Iran have become routine occurrences, albeit without much success. Why? Because Iran is ruled by a totalitarian Islamic ideology like Nazism and communism. In Iran, there is no sovereignty of the people. Instead, there is a perception of the Ummah in Shia theology "rule of Mahdi", guardianship over the people. In other words, Iran belongs to "Imam Zaman" (the Hidden Imam) and in his absence, a supreme leader is in charge. In this case, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Any revolt against the State is considered a direct attack against the upcoming "Lord of the Age."

Hence, at the slightest signs of protests, the regime unleashes its wild dogs (soldiers of Mahdi) on a killing spree. Iranians partook in many protests across the country amidst a failing economic situation, systematic government corruption, and widespread frustration over the lack of political and social freedoms. As always, the regime's security apparatus reacted to these protests with mass arrests and severe due process abuses. Pundits and experts believe "Khamenei's tough response could just invite more anger."

Since the Islamic invasion of 1979, the Mullahs have ruled over the unarmed Iranian people with an iron fist and absolute power while draining the nation's treasury. As a result, millions of Iranians had no choice but to flee their homes to the four corners of the globe. In these recent protests, Iran's rulers once again revealed their real identity to the world that they don't value human life. They are simply vicious killers.

U.S. SANCTIONS
After the U.S. withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA or Iran nuclear deal on May 18, 2018, the US almost immediately imposed several new sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI).

The U.S. followed up with further sanctions on the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his office, and those who were closely tied to him with access to major financial resources. In July 2019, the United States placed sanctions on the regime's Foreign Minister Mohammad, Javad Zarif.

The U.S. also placed sanctions on eight senior commanders of the navy, aerospace, and ground forces components of the IRGC. In April of 2019, President Donald Trump designated Iran's elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a foreign "terrorist" organization.

RESULTS
Within a few months, Iran's crude oil exports were slashed by almost 80%. Despite massive propaganda from President Rouhani's office claiming these sanctions did not phase them and they had gotten used to them. However, this dosage of reality hit the regime hard. The regime is out of money and unable to pay the salaries of their military apparatus as well as its terrorist proxies such as Hezb'allah, Hamas, the Houthi insurgency in Yemen, Bashar al-Assad of Syria and other hired thugs. By November 2019, the regime was completely broke and needed to come up with a solution to save itself.

Out of desperation, the supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei took a gamble and raised the price of gasoline by 50% (some say by 300%) in order to consolidate the budget deficit. That was precisely what prompted protests in at least five cities almost simultaneously and brought millions of people into the streets. Almost all the slogans were against the Ayatollah Khamenei himself.

Japanese department store 'rethinking' use of 'period badges' for menstruating employees
A department store in Japan is reportedly "rethinking" a new policy of having female employees wear a badge with a cartoon character dubbed "Miss Period" that signifies they're menstruating.

The Daimaru department store in Osaka introduced the voluntary badges in October following an employee's suggestion, BBC News reported.

"It was never the intention to share the menstrual information with their customers," Daimaru spokesperson Yoko Higuchi told the BBC.

Higuchi said the so-called "period badges" were supposed to create empathy among coworkers, including allowing longer breaks and extra help for employees on their period.

Higuchi told the BBC that reactions to the badges were mixed.

"If you saw a colleague was having her period, you could offer to carry heavy things for her, or suggest she takes longer breaks, and this support would be mutual," she said.

She added that the company will reconsider how to keep the information within the staff without revealing it to customers.

The controversy comes at the same time local media has reported that some Japanese companies are banning female employees from wearing eyeglasses, with some saying they make women look "cold" or don't allow people to see their makeup.

In another controversy this year, Japan's foreign minister ignored a 20,000-signature petition, saying mandating high heels at work is "socially accepted as something that falls within the realm of being occupationally necessary and appropriate."

#2  The idea of people being disposable in Japan started long ago. In part because Japan had periodic starvation due to populations out growing the available arable land. Note even unto modern times the Japanese give a prayer before eating that translates to "Thank you for the food" During WWII they wasted combat pilots by sending them out without parachutes and sending them on missions that were useless except for "face" saving.

First highway bridge connecting China and Russia is complete
Russian officials announced Friday that construction on the first road bridge to connect Russia and China is now complete. Both countries say the bridge may allow for better relations between the two countries.

The bridge, which connects Blagoveshchensk, Russia, and Heihe, China, is set to open next spring. According to Reuters, it will help promote an exchange of freight traffic and agricultural products.

The first bridge linking Russia & China, suitable for automobiles, has been finally completed. The project took 3 years & cost around $3 billion. It will link Russia's Far Eastern city of Blagoveshchensk to China's Heihe and opens in Spring 2020.

‐ Bryan MacDonald (@27khv) November 29, 2019

The $295 million project is more than 1,700 feet long and is estimated to transport 4 million metric tons of goods and 2 million Chinese tourists every year over the Amur River, according to the Moscow Times. Each country built their half of the bridge.

The Amur region's governor said it will form "a new international transport corridor."

"It will allow us to fully reach our transit potential," he said.

According to the construction agreement, the bridge consists of both a road and a railway bridge, the latter of which was finished in March.

"These decisions are aimed at creating better conditions for mutual exchanges, trade and economic contacts between Russia and China, for the development of a reliable and stable year-round transport connection," the agreement reads. "It will help preserve and develop the historical ethnic, family, cultural, humanitarian and economic ties between the citizens of Russia and China."

Talks about a bridge connecting the two countries began in 1988 and an agreement to connect the two cities was originally signed in 1995. Construction on the project did not begin until December 2016.

The two countries are also expected to launch a natural gas pipeline on Monday. The "Power of Siberia" is part of a 30-year and $400 billion deal, according to Reuters. The 1,864-mile pipeline runs from gas fields in Siberia to Blagoveshchensk.

Zimbabwe facing 'man-made' starvation, UN expert warns
[UN News] The independent UN human rights expert was presenting her assessment on the current situation in Zimbabwe, concerning all aspects related to the right to food, following a 11-day visit to the country.

Because of hyperinflation, which, said Ms. Elver, has reached some 490 per cent, more than 60 per cent of the population is now "food-insecure", in a country once seen as the breadbasket of Africa: "In rural areas, a staggering 5.5 million people are currently facing food insecurity, as poor rains and erratic weather patterns are impacting harvests and livelihoods", she said. "In urban areas, an estimated 2.2 million people are food-insecure and lack access to minimum public services, including health and safe water".

Ms. Elver described the figures as "shocking", and warned that, due to factors such as poverty and high unemployment, widespread corruption, severe price instabilities, and unilateral economic sanctions, the crisis is getting worse.

Women and children ’bearing the brunt’
No mention made of the old people, due possibly to the fact there are so few.
Women and children are bearing the brunt of the crisis, said the Special Rapporteur, adding that the majority of children she had met were stunted and underweight. According to Ms. Elver, child deaths from severe malnutrition have been rising in recent months, and 90 % of Zimbabwean children aged six months to two years are not consuming the minimum acceptable diet: "I saw the ravaging effects of malnutrition on infants deprived of breast feeding because of their own mothers’ lack of access to adequate food".

The situation for women, as described by the human rights expert, is equally stark, with women (and children) increasingly forced to drop out of school, being forced into early marriage, domestic violence, prostitution, and sexual exploitation.

Records Set, Billions Minted: It Will Be Hard to Top 2019 Stocks
[Bloomberg] In a bull market almost everyone thought was living on borrowed time, the S&P 500 is poised to post one of its best years in two decades. Extraordinary returns like those are complicating the lives of people paid to predict what happens next.

Stretches like this are only raising the stakes. Despite falling the most in almost two months on Friday, the S&P 500 has now climbed for seven out of the last eight weeks, with this month’s 3.4% gain tied for the best November return in a decade.

A vanilla 60/40 portfolio -- 60% stocks, 40% bonds -- is now on course for its best year since 2009 -- a feat that few see being repeated anytime soon.

As December beckons, sell-side prognosticators sound anxious, though not quite bearish. Societe Generale SA, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. are among those telling clients that beloved strategies -- America First trades, quality shares, selling volatility -- offer fewer rewards in 2020. Growth and valuation risk is the mantra.

Add the struggle to reach a phase-one U.S.-China trade deal, and investors are in no mood to revel in this year’s double-digit returns.

"We have been bombarded by these outlooks for 2020," said Alberto Tocchio, chief investment officer at Colombo Wealth SA in Lugano, Switzerland. "But I wouldn’t be so sure that growth will expand in any considerable way if a trade deal is not signed."

Colombo Wealth has been turning more defensive over the past month, reducing positions in U.S. equities and instead switching into European value stocks and U.K. domestic shares.

Uniting a host of Wall Street analysts is the view that the U.S. isn’t on the cusp of recession, global manufacturing can recover from its woes and easier monetary policies can deliver a boost to growth. Low interest rates are bidding up bond-proxies while haven demand is juicing quality stocks.

Why Are There So Few Women at West Point? Ask Congress.
[Politico] Three decades ago, when I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, just 10 percent of the students in my class were women.

Since then, women have made gains in many areas of American society‐from Congress to corporate boardrooms. But at West Point the numbers have barely budged: By the time I retired from the Army, in 2014, just 16 percent of students were women.

In 2018, the number bumped up to 20 percent, but that is still low. The situation isn’t much better at the other service academies. The Air Force Academy’s 2018 graduating class was just shy of 22 percent women, and the Naval Academy came in only a bit better, at 25 percent.

How can it be that America’s military academies are still admitting and graduating so few women‐especially when these schools are free and prestigious, and across the country women earn 57 percent of all undergraduate degrees? This low percentage persists even now that all military occupations and units are open to women. The small percentage of women who do gain admission often perform better than their male classmates. Despite women making up just under 20 percent of the 2018 West Point class, eight of the top 10 graduates were women, and women made up 44 percent of honor roll students.

It turns out Congress might be limiting qualified women’s ability to access this elite educational opportunity.

By law, and with a few exceptions, West Point only considers applicants who have been nominated by a member of Congress from their state. (Lawmakers make their nominations based on an application and in-person interview.) A report released over the summer by the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center revealed that since 1994 women have never made up more than 27 percent of all congressional nominations made in any year for admission to the three military academies. According to the report, Democrats have, on average, given 22 percent of their nominations to women, while Republicans have given 20 percent of their nominations to women. (The CVLC made multiple Freedom of Information Act requests to get the data from the military for its report.)

Which only proves after 30 years, the author still has no clue as to the actual mission and purpose of the US Military academies.

As far as the author's advocacy of 'Female Engagement Teams' (FETS); the creation of diaper wearing, non-RON (daylight only) FET teams in AFG were (may still be) a sad turn of events which resulted in maiming and death of many innocent young soldiers. The WIA/KIA issue matters little to 'social justice' warriors however.

WSJ: Trump 'Quietly' Met With Gov. Kemp About Senate Appointment
[Red State] According to the Wall Street Journal, President Trump and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp quietly met last Sunday in the White House. Kemp brought along Kelly Loeffler, an Atlanta businesswoman who is under consideration as an appointee to fill the Senate seat of Senator Johnny Isakson. Isakson announced his retirement last August, after a forty-year career in politics. He cited health concerns.

The trip was unannounced to the press and Kemp kept the information about the trip from his top aides. President Trump didn’t tell senior aides at the White House about the meeting, either, not even the ones who have been involved in the process. It is reported that the meeting didn’t go particularly well. The two men have been discussing the choice Kemp has to make for several months. The problem is that Trump is encouraging Kemp to appoint Rep. Doug Collins, a loyal Trump supporter who has risen in national recognition since his involvement in the House Intelligence Committee’s impeachment hearings. Collins is the ranking member on the committee. Kemp is leaning toward appointing Ms. Loeffler. Loeffler would be a status quo kind of appointment ‐ a wealthy, moderate Republican woman who pro-life organizations are coming out against.

#3  We don't need debate. We've already been told, and shown, the right way to handle it -- by General Grant at Appomattox, by Brevet Major General Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain three days later, by Grant again decades later in his Memoirs, and by President Lincoln in his Second Inaugural Address and in his letters.

If ours is a great nation, then it can't have two histories.
We are one nation, or we are not a nation at all.
Either we atoned for the sin of slavery with 600,000 dead, or we did not atone for it.
Either the war was pointless butchery, or it was fought with honor and honorably settled the issue of whether slavery was compatible with American self-government.
Either all Americans can share in this history, or there is no coherent national history to speak of.

Those who would tear down these statues are pissing on our nation's greatest and most profound memories -- our Homeric period.

Piss on the Civil War, and you piss on our nation's heritage and sacred collective memory.

Piss off.

Britain
Unholy alliance: Bernie Sanders campaigners are aiding anti-Semitic UK Labor Party head Jeremy Corbyn
h/t American Thinker
[Guardian] Campaigners for US presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders have been lending their support to the Labour party, running phone-banking sessions from New York ahead of the general election.

The city’s branch of Labour International has been working with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), who have been calling British campaigners with tips on how to encourage people to register to vote and cast a ballot for Labour at the December poll.

The DSA endorses and campaigns for Sanders, who is running to be the Democratic presidential candidate for a second time after losing out to Hillary Clinton in 2016.

A spokesperson for Momentum, the grassroots Labour campaign group, said: "This is part of a growing relationship between Bernie, DSA activists and Momentum and Labour members abroad that has included exchanges between the nurses’ unions of the US and the UK to campaign on public health in the US.

"Many Labour International and Momentum members have been volunteers on Sanders’ campaign and so the favour’s being returned."

Canvassing sessions run by the US volunteers for Momentum campaigners in the UK on Saturdays are an attempt to support grassroots activism and turn out the vote for Labour.

Campaigners from Sanders’ team have previously run election training sessions for activists working on Corbyn’s 2017 election run to try to help direct the huge volume of volunteers the organisation attracts to the right constituencies. They have also shared digital campaigning methods.

The Labour International and DSA volunteers have also been running phone-banking sessions from Chicago, Toronto, Louisville and San Francisco.

The New York sessions are also being supported by overseas members of the Party of European Socialists, who have helped to source office space for canvassing sessions.

In Germany, where there are 16,000 British people registered to vote in the capital, Berlin, volunteers have been canvassing for Labour in bars and cafes as well as speaking to Britons at English-language events and talking to university students.

Momentum supporters in Paris have been leafleting Eurostar’s British customers ahead of voter registration closing. New Labour International groups have set up in southern France for the first time this election, with campaigners meeting in cities such as Lyon to try and turn out the expat vote.

The international campaigning effort for Labour comes as Momentum claims its work could swing the election. It has encouraged more than 100,000 people to register to vote since the beginning of the campaign through Facebook adverts, including at least 87,000 in marginal constituencies.

Of the 101,422 so far who may have registered via Momentum’s voter registration adverts, it claims the majority were younger voters ‐ below the age of 35 ‐ in key marginal constituencies.

Momentum has been targeting young people in marginals with viral videos such as "We Don’t Want Your Vote" ‐ viewed 1.1m times on Facebook ‐ and "Please Don’t Vote".

Laura Parker, Momentum’s national coordinator, said: "All the polls are based on the assumption that young people and those who haven’t voted before won’t bother turning out. But this election we are seeing record numbers register to vote ‐ including nearly 100,000 whom we have encouraged to register in marginal constituencies, which could swing the election."

The "perfect Aryan poster baby" was actually Jewish
The cover of the January 1935 issue of “Sonne ins Haus” (“sun in the house”, a Nazi magazine for mothers) featured the winner of the “most beautiful Aryan baby” photo contest.

There was only one problem with the undeniably beautiful baby Hessy Levinsons: she was Jewish.

When her mother Pauline had taken Hessy to Hans Ballin’s photography studio for a baby portrait, the photographer had asked her if he could enter said portrait for the “most beautiful Aryan baby” contest. Pauline, flustered, felt obliged to inform the photographer that both parents were non-Aryan. The photographer’s answer: “I know. I want to make the Nazis look lächerlich” [ridiculous].

Recounting the story 80 years later, Hessy Levinsons Taft, now a chemistry professor emeritus at St. John’s University in New York, says she can laugh about it now, but realizes she might not have been alive today if the Nazis had known.

Home Front: Culture Wars
Hatred of Israel is the Symptom. Hatred of Western Society is the Disease.
[American Thinker] Many on the political Left, such as Rep. Ilhan Omar, complain that American Jews support Israel because Israel is a Jewish-majority country. All Americans should support Israel because Israel is a civilized country similar to the United States in terms of culture and values. These values include free elections, freedom of the press, rule of law, religious pluralism, women's rights, and safety for LGBT people. Israel is, like the United States, a free country as defined by Freedom House. Its neighbor Syria has a freedom score of zero out of 100, Egypt is not free, and Gaza, the home of the "poor oppressed Palestinians," is not free. American values say Americans should side with the world's free countries and not dictatorships like Turkey and theocracies like Iran.

The United Nations' Human Rights Council (UNHRC) consists, meanwhile, of outhouse countries -- I am using the family-friendly and radio-safe version of President Trump's term for them -- such as Afghanistan, Mainland China, Cuba, Egypt, and Rwanda. These countries have as much right to be on a Human Rights Council as a child pornographer has to be in charge of a day care center. President Trump rightly denied the UNHRC its legitimacy by withdrawing from it. The United States will no longer lend its name to this enabler and whitewasher of human rights abuses around the world.

...Organizations like Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) are but one set of examples of rebellion for rebellion's sake against the Western value system that built modern civilization. The rebels with all the wrong causes, aka social justice warriors (SJWs), seek to identify purportedly downtrodden and oppressed proletarians, i.e. everybody in the Third World, to support against the evil racist, imperialist, and colonialist oppressors, i.e. everybody in the developed First World; the very source of the SJWs' privileged lifestyles. Female American and European activists who travel to the so-called "occupied territories" in Israel are allegedly so eager to rebel against the very societies that gave them everything they have that they tolerate being used as "comfort women" by the "noble revolutionaries" because, let's face it, any hand with an upraised AK-47 has to belong to a Good Guy.

...Squad member Rashida Tlaib more recently called Israel racist and equated a boycott of Israel to a boycott of Nazi Germany. Presidential hopefuls Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders also, like Tlaib, Omar, and Ocasio-Cortez, apparently feel there is some kind of moral equivalence between civilized Israelis and violent Hamas savages. These views are shared by a substantial number of Congressional Democrats. Jeremy Corbyn (Labour, UK) has depicted not only Hamas but also Hezbollah, the organization behind the bombing murder of U.S. Marines in Beirut, as "his friends" and has also been supportive of the Irish Republican Army.

...Hatred of Israel is therefore but one symptom of a far more widespread disease; hatred and contempt for advanced Western Civilization that has given very privileged lives, and usually college educations, to Social Justice Warriors and Rebels with All the Wrong Causes who would, if given the opportunity, drag down their own societies in favor of a romanticized and noble Third World that never was and never will be. We encourage them to move in with their downtrodden and oppressed proletarian friends in Gaza, Iran, Vietnam, and Mainland China. Maybe Queers Undermining Israeli Terrorism (QUIT) and Queers Against Israeli Apartheid can hold a gay pride event in Hamas-controlled "Palestine," and let us know how it goes when (and if) they come back.

Black Friday brings big savings to Erbil
It’s never been that we forcibly exported American culture, destroying native cultures the world over, but that various American approaches are so appealing the people want it for themselves.
[Rudaw] Despite a bad banking system and shaky internet connections, consumers in the Kurdistan Region are not entirely cut off from Black Friday deals.

Black Friday always falls on the Friday after the US Thanksgiving holiday, and traditionally marks the start of the Christmas shopping season.
...in America. In Germany, the Christmas shopping season begins on the first Sunday in Advent, with wonderful Christmas markets on the central town square selling mulled wine, charmingly decorated gingerbread cookies as big as a child’s head, and all sorts of Christmasy things in stalls lining the square in an organized fashion...
Many major retailers run huge sales promotions on Black Friday,
...again, in America...
and with the ascendance of online shopping, some Kurdish shoppers can take advantage of the deals.

Clashes rage on in south Tripoli as Libyan Army captures pro-Haftar commander
[Libya Observer] Libyan Army forces under the command of the Presidential Council's government have made significant advances on Khallatat and Yarmouk Camp frontlines after targeting Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
's forces with heavy artillery shelling Thursday morning.

The media office of Volcano of Rage Operation said their forces had destroyed military vehicles for Haftar's forces on Yarmouk Camp frontline after waging attacks on different frontlines this morning following attempts by Haftar's forces to advance on Naqliya and Khallatat frontlines.

In Ain Zara, heavy festivities took place between the two sides and the Libyan Army managed to capture several fighters from Haftar's forces, including a commander at the pro-Haftar Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade, and a Sudanese mercenary.

Sources from Volcano of Rage Operation also said that artillery shelling targeted Thursday evening one of the largest ammunition depots of Haftar's forces in Baer al-Tuta.

On Tripoli

Chicago Cop Absolutely Demolishes Cop-Hating Delinquent. Boo Hoo Hoo Ensues
[ABC7Chicago] (WLS) -- A man was hospitalized after being slammed to the ground by a Chicago police officer Thursday when he allegedly spit on a cop while being detained for drinking alcohol in public.
CPD says the officer involved in the "emergency takedown" will be relieved of police powers, pending a review. Which basically means cops are meant to just wipe the spit from their face and say 'Sorry, Sir!'
A 41-second cellphone video captured the incident and was posted to social media.

Police say two officers approached a 29-year-old man who was drinking alcohol at a bus stop in the Chatham neighborhood. Officers said the man became "irate" and threatened them. After the man licked an officer's face and spit in his eye and mouth, the officer performed an "emergency takedown," according to officials.

The man has been identified by his mother as Bernard Kersh. Keshia Johnson said she fell to her knees after watching the video of her son.

"I was nervous. I was scared. My heart dropped. I know I automatically thought the worst. He wasn't moving," Johnson said.

She said Kersh was on his way back to their home at the time after picking up some alcoholic beverages for the family's Thanksgiving gathering.

"We were waiting to eat Thanksgiving dinner for him because he always blesses the table," Johnson said.
The dear boy, doesn't he spit on the country too ?
Johnson said she was on the phone with her son during the encounter with officers when the call suddenly ended.

"I was at a loss," she said. "I didn't know what happened to him."

Pakistani man killed journalist wife for not quitting job
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] An international trade association says a Pak female journalist was shot and killed by her husband earlier this week in the eastern city of Lahore after he demanded she quit her job.

In Friday’s statement, the International Federation of Journalists urged Pakistain to conduct a probe into Monday’s murder of Urooj Iqbal who was a news hound at a local newspaper.

It says Iqbal was killed by Dilawar Ali on International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

Iqbal’s family says she had alerted police her husband was harassing her, but no action was taken. Police have arrested Ali and charged him with murder.

Pak women often face harassment at the workplace, but many offenders escape punishment as victims don’t report such incidents to avoid further social stigma.

Hong Kong Protesters Sing American National Anthem to Thank Trump for Signing China Bills
[PJMEDIA] On Thanksgiving Day (in the evening, actually) Hong Kong protesters decided to sing the American national anthem as a gesture of thanks for President Trump signing two bills into law Wednesday that condemned China. When they were done with "The Star-Spangled Banner," the protesters chanted "USA, USA, USA."

This is absolutely beautiful to watch. I actually had tears in my eyes when I first saw it. The passion of these people for liberty is amazing and incredibly inspiring.

The first of the two bills signed into law by President Trump on Wednesday requires the State Department to certify once a year that Hong Kong is sufficiently autonomous to retain its special U.S. trading consideration. The second bill, meanwhile, makes it illegal to sell munitions like tear gas and rubber bullets to Hong Kong police.

Russian Trolls Aren’t Actually Persuading Americans on Twitter, Study Finds
[OneZero] New research highlights a surprising barrier to hacking our democracy: filter bubbles.

We know that Russian agents have been using social media to try to influence other countries’ politics since at least 2013. We know they’ve successfully posed as Americans to post divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...

#1  ... to post divisive propaganda on FB, Twitter...

"Divisive propaganda" - got it.

Extending tw's astute point, nothing posted by the trolls is more inflammatory and "divisive" than the half-decade or so of CONSTANT LIES about the actual incidence and extent of police brutality against black men and boys.

So let's see how the media/Woke/BLM logic works. According to them:

... it was not "divisive propaganda" when the BLM movement falsely claimed Michael Brown was murdered - and when nearly every Dem POTUS candidate repeated this lie.

... it was not "divisive propaganda" to claim that Trump, not Obama, initiated the policy of family separation and that Satan Mussolini-Trump was torturing poor innocent Guatemalan etc children, making them drink from toilets etc.

... it was not "divisive propaganda" to claim, for nearly THREE YEARS and in the face of all the hard indisputable evidence of escalation against and confrontation toward Russia, that Trump was an agent of the Russian government.

Nope. Not divisive at all. No propaganda here.

Two Thai terrorists wanted in deadly attack confirmed killed
[Bernama] Thai authorities have confirmed that the two militants who were killed in a shootout in Pattani, southern Thailand, on November 21, were the masterminds behind a deadly attack at security posts in Yala province earlier this month which left 15 dead.

Military spokesman Pornsak Poonsawat said the two men, Sobri Lamso, from Songkhla and Mayako Lateh, from Pattani, were individuals who led and planned the attack on security posts in Kampung Lam Phaya on November 5.

He said authorities had surrounded a house where the two suspects were hiding and demanded them to surrender but they refused and started firing at the security forces which resulted in a gun battle that lasted nearly three hours.

“Investigations revealed Mayako had 12 arrest warrants while Sobri had six. The two suspects also attacked a village security post in Pakaharang, Pattani, and blew up an ATM in Yarang. Besides, they were also believed to have robbed a goldsmith in Nathavi, Songkhla,” Pornsak said.

He said the homeowner who provided protection to the two suspects had been detained and he also warned the locals against giving protection to the militants.

Ninth Division police chief Ronnasin Phusara said the firearms found in the house were used in the attack on security posts in Kampung Lam Phaya and several attacks over the last ten years.

Turkey has given militants 2 German-made Leopard tanks
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
has given two German-made Leopard tanks to the murderous Moslem forces in northern Syria, the Russian publication Avia.Pro reported on Friday.

"Turkey has handed over to the Syrian gunnies at least two German Leopard tanks, which had already been spotted on the front lines in the Idlib province. Thus, the Ottoman Turkish side actively supports gunnies opposing the Syrian government forces and regularly conducting attacks on the Russian military in this region of Syria," the report said.

Ankara has not officially commented on the transfer of heavy tanks to the murderous Moslem forces; however, a report last week also accused Turkey of giving these armored vehicles to the so-called "Syrian National Army" (SNA), who is currently fighting the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Germany has provided aid to the SDF troops in Syria, so the fact that these tanks are being used against them may not sit well with the government in Berlin.

Knifeman hunted in The Hague after three people wounded in stabbing in main shopping district
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Dutch police say three people have been injured in a stabbing incident in The Hague's main shopping street.

Police said in a tweet Friday evening that the incident happened in the city's main shopping street.

The incident happened in Grote Marktstraat, which is at the centre of the city's shopping district.

The incident happened in the city's main shopping street, which was busy with people looking for Black Friday deals.

Pictures from the area showed several dozen onlookers kept behind police fencing seeking a glimpse of the area where the stabbing took place.

The Hague police said in a statement that they were looking for a man, about 45 to 50 years old, in a grey jogging suit.

Police spokeswoman Marije Kuiper told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named in a telephone interview that it was not clear if the stabbing was a terror incident.

According to AFP, the suspect was a 'slightly dark skinned man'.

Dutch news agency ANP quoted sources as saying there was 'no talk of a terror motive', but there was no immediate confirmation.

Sondland not resigning over sexual misconduct allegations
[POLITICO.EU] Gordon Sondland isn't backing down.

The U.S. ambassador to the EU, who has been at the center of Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
's impeachment scandal in Washington, has no intention of resigning over allegations of sexual misconduct, a close associate said Thursday.

Sondland has flatly denied the accusations, made by three women, who allege he engaged in inappropriate behavior years before he was named Trump's envoy to the EU.

"No intention of resigning," the associate said, in response to a question about whether Sondland believed he could still work effectively as a diplomat in Brussels given the distractions of the impeachment process, in which he has been forced to travel to Washington to testify, and the new allegations of inappropriate behavior.

The allegations by the three women were reported by Portland Monthly, a magazine in Sondland's home city of Portland, Oregon, and ProPublica, a New York-based nonprofit investigative news outlet.

All three of the women who accused Sondland of unwanted touching, in incidents that allegedly occurred between 2003 and 2011, agreed to be named in the report. One of them, Nicole Vogel, is the owner of Portland Monthly magazine, and said the unwanted touching occurred as she was trying to convince Sondland, a wealthy hotel developer, to invest in her company.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Nebraska bakery owner tackles teen who allegedly stole tip jar
[NYPOST] A bakery owner in Nebraska is being praised for tackling and holding down a 90-pound teenager who allegedly stole a tip jar containing $15 ‐ but the boy’s mother wants the woman criminally charged for going "way above the law," according to a report.

The 14-year-old boy and a friend were at Farine + Four bakery in Omaha on Thursday when owner Ellie Pegler sprang into action during the alleged theft, the Omaha World-Herald reports.

Pegler later posted photos of the incident on her now-deleted Instagram page, complete with images of her bloodied knuckles and a warning for other would-be thieves.

"I’m tired of teenagers stealing our tip jar," Pegler wrote, according to the report. "I tackled a kid on Leavenworth street in front of a car today. Then I asked him ’how does it feel to be tackled by a b****?’"

Pegler held the teen against a refrigerated case for 20 minutes until police arrived, according to a second photo she posted.

The boy’s mother, Dominique Smith, said police later told her that her son refused to identify his alleged accomplice. He’s now facing theft charges in juvenile court, she said.

Smith filed a misdemeanor assault report on Sunday after her son, who is black, told her he had pain in his back due to a woman putting him "in a chokehold" before slamming him to the ground, she said.

"I think she went way above the law," Smith told the newspaper, adding that she thought race may have played a role in the incident. "I just feel like if it was a white kid, she maybe would have cussed him out ... but for her to go above and beyond."

Pegler, who is white, could not be reached for comment Wednesday. She left Omaha to be with relatives for Thanksgiving, an employee who answered the phone told The Post.

When asked about the incident, police in Omaha cited Nebraska state law that allows for "reasonable force" to be deployed while protecting property.

López Obrador tries again to persuade the Speaker to accept a new trade agreement.
[WSJ] The Speaker of the House who called a border wall with Mexico "an immorality" is still sitting on a Mexican request to approve a new trade agreement. What is the morality of ignoring this key priority of our southern neighbors?

In a letter this week, Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador takes another shot at persuading Mrs. Pelosi to accept yes for an answer on a union-friendly renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement:
Dear Madam Speaker:

Following up on my letter dated October 8, I would like to inform you that, with approval of our 2020 federal budget, which includes appropriations for implementing the labor law reforms that I have promoted, we have fully met our commitments regarding the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

A bona fide leftist, Mr. López Obrador by now must be wondering how many of the Speaker’s liberal allies he needs to lobby to get this deal done. Writes the Mexican president:

I reiterate here what I have said in my conversations with the Congressional delegation led by Representative Richard Neal, Chairman of the Boodle Central, and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, regarding a key concern that has been raised: you can be assured that we will fulfill our labor-related commitments.

Russian warplanes kill several foreign jihadists as Syrian troops attempt to advance to Kabani
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian Air Force unleashed another powerful attack on the northeastern countryside of the Latakia this week, as their warplanes wiped out several sites belonging to the jihadist rebels.

According to an army source, the Russian Air Force carried out more than 30 Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s between the jihadist strongholds of Jisr al-Shughour, Kabani, and al-Sirmaniyeh.

The source said these Russian airstrikes primarily targeted the bases and hideouts of the foreigner-led Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP),
...the Al Qaeda-linked Uighur jihadi group from western China formerly known as the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) and other names. It claims to want a caliphate in Xinjiang, and according to China committed 200+ jihadi attacks causing over 600 casualties between 1990 and 2001. In 1998 they moved their headquarters to Kabul under the protection of the Taliban, then after 9/11 moved to North Waziristan under the protection of Pakistan branch of the Taliban (TTP). There is a second branch in Syria, allied with Al Nusra and Turkey. Also, a TIP man sits on Al Qaeda’s executive leadership council, and another is emir of Al Qaeda’s military force in Pakistan’s FATA. This may explain why China feels so strongly about the need to correct the thinking of their countrymen who remained behind...
a terrorist group that is in control of several parts of Latakia, Hama, and Idlib.

At the same time as these Russian strikes, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a big attack on the southern axis of Kabani in a bid to retake the Zuwayqat Mountains.

A source from the 4th Armored Division told al-Masdar News that their troops were able to secure a small advance, but they have since halted their advance in order to weaken the jihadist defenses with missiles and artillery.

The Kabani axis in northeastern Latakia has proven to be one of the most difficult fronts for the Syrian Army, as the jihadist rebels of the Turkestan Islamic Party and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS) have concentrated a large portion of their murderous Moslems in this area.

PIJ leader Ziyad Nahalwe is already coordinating a retaliation for todays events with Hamas
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
According to The Times of Israel, the events were these:
On Friday evening aircraft had attacked a Hamas target in northern Gaza in response to a rocket attack that also set off alarms in Israel. The army said the rocket exploded in an open field in Israeli territory. There were no casualties or damage in the attack.

The incidents came hours after a Palestinian teenager was reported killed by Israeli troops during a protest near the Gaza-Israel border.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry reported that 16-year-old Fahed al-Astal was shot in the stomach and that five others were wounded. No official demonstrations were held Friday. An IDF spokesman said some demonstrators had approached the border fence and attempted to sabotage it. Troops responded with less-lethal means as well as some live fire.

For the third straight week, the territory’s Hamas rulers canceled the regular Friday “March of Return” protests for fear of instability. This came following two days of intense fighting between Israel and the smaller Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group earlier this month.

In addition, the Al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jihad’s military wing, said Friday one of its members succumbed to injuries he sustained in an Israeli airstrike during the last round of fighting. It identified him as 30-year-old Raed al-Sarsawi.

Britain
Day 2: London Bridge suspect had prior ‘Islamist terrorism’ conviction
[NYPOST] A man accused of stabbing to death two people and injuring three more in London
Whew! Yesterday it was reported he’s knifed more than 12...
has a previous conviction for an “Islamist terrorism-related offense” — and was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet when he carried out Friday’s attack, according to a report.
No doubt that bracelet helped identify his corpse, even if it did nothing to stop him.
He was in the area of the London Bridge because he was due to speak at an event at Fishmonger’s Hall, where he was scheduled to share his experience as a rehabilitated man
The man — who was shot dead after being wrestled to the ground by bystanders
...definitely a pack, not a herd...
in what British police called a “terrorist incident” — has a criminal history that includes a conviction for that unspecified offense, according to the Telegraph.

The madman, whose name has not yet been released, was sprung from prison about a year ago after agreeing to electronic monitoring, per the report, which cites anonymous government sources.
And what have we learnt from this experience, children?
He was in the area of the London Bridge because he was due to speak at an event at Fishmonger’s Hall, where he was scheduled to share his experience as a rehabilitated man, the Times reports.
He certainly did that...
He was also wearing a phony suicide belt, authorities said.

London Bridge hero used Narwhal tusk to help stop attacker
You may be cool, dear Reader, but are you Narwhal-tusk-from-a-nearby-wall cool?
[NYPOST] A hero bystander who was inside a nearby historic hall when the London Bridge stabbing unfolded Friday ripped a five-foot Narwhal tusk from the wall to help neutralize the knife-wielding madman, a witness said.

The unidentified man can be seen on footage of the stabbing Friday in London hovering over the suspect with the massive tusk as others attempt to disarm the assailant.

Witness Amy Coop tweeted that she was with the man at Fishmongers Hall when attack occurred shortly before 2 p.m.

"A guy who was with us at Fishmongers Hall took a 5’ narwhal tusk from the wall and went out to confront the attacker," she wrote. "You can see him standing over the man (with what looks like a white pole) in the video."

She hailed the man for his bravery saying, "We were trying to help victims inside but that man’s a hero".

Other Twitter users also heaped praise on the man for his quick-thinking.

"This is legit the most bad ass thing I’ve ever heard," tweeted Tom Strachan.

Lawmakers also hailed the group of Londoners who tackled and disarmed the attacker before police shot him dead.

"What’s remarkable about the images we’ve seen is the breath-taking heroism of members of the public who literally ran towards danger not knowing what confronted them," Mayor Sadiq Khan told news hounds.

Officials said the suspect, who has not been identified, killed two people and injured three others.

UK PM: We will ‘hunt down’ anyone linked to London Bridge attack
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] British Prime Minister Boris Johnson
...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies....
on Friday warned that "anybody involved" in the London Bridge attack would be "hunted down and... brought to justice."

Speaking after being briefed by senior police officials, the prime minister also paid tribute to the "bravery" of the emergency services and members of the public who intervened in the attack.

A man wearing a fake explosive vest stabbed several people in London Friday in what police are treating as a terrorist attack before being tackled by members of the public and then fatally shot by officers on London Bridge, police and the city’s mayor said.

The Metropolitan Police said "a number" of people were maimed but gave no information on how many or their conditions. London Mayor Sadiq Khan said some of the injured were at death's door.
Final update of yesterday’s article from The Sun, breaking the news of the attack:
Usman Khan, 28, from Staffordshire, was freed last December and stabbed two people to death while wearing a fake suicide jacket at 2pm yesterday.
There is a photo of the ex-miscreant at the link. Also one of Narwhal Tusk Man facing off with him, tusk at the ready.
The knifeman was convicted in 2012 for Islamic terrorism offences. He was part of a nine-man terror group who plotted to bomb the London Stock Exchange and build a terrorist training camp.

Khan was released on licence 11 months ago.

Yesterday, Khan was a guest at a Cambridge University conference on prisoner rehabilitation when he threatened to blow up the historic Fishmongers' Hall in central London. Those at the event at said he entered the main hall and went on a rampage, attacking anyone who crossed his path.

Reports suggest that Khan was wearing a tag when he went on his bloodthirsty mission just before 2pm.

He then made his way on to London Bridge - the scene of the 2017 terror attack which killed eight - but was eventually pinned down by heroes who tackled him with a fire extinguisher and a whale tusk.

One of the men who helped stop Khan was convicted murderer James Ford who was out on day release.
Wipe that man’s record clean, Yesterday he was a hero who stepped forward to put himself between an evil man and the common folk.
Tour guides Thomas Gray and Stevie Hurst also sprinted over and stamped on his arms which forced him to drop his knives.

He was released from prison in December 2018 on licence.

Armed police then shot Khan twice and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man and a woman were killed during the attack while three other people - a man and two women - remain in hospital.

Khan is believed to have had a gun in his bag.
Thank goodness they stomped on him before he had a chance to start using that.
In a statement released in the early hours, Met Police Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said: "We are now in a position to confirm the identity of the suspect as 28-year-old Usman Khan, who had been residing in the Staffordshire area.

"As a result, officers are, tonight, carrying out searches at an address in Staffordshire.”

‘False flag’ is trending on twitter by users claiming that the incident in London Bridge was a plot to damage Jeremy Corbyn’s chances
A little late for that. Especially since Usman Khan was wearing a monitor after being released from prison after serving six years as part of a 9-man crew plotting to bomb the London Stock Exchange and build a jihadi training camp.

Jihadist rebels position heavy weapons near Turkish base in Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] The jihadist rebels in the Idlib Governorate have begun positioning their heavy weapons near a Ottoman Turkish military base in the Idlib Governorate.

In photos captured by reconnaissance aircraft, the jihadist rebels can be seen establishing their positions next to the Ottoman Turkish military base, which would provide them cover in case of a retaliatory attack from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies.

This move by the jihadist rebels has been done before, especially in the Hama Governorate when the latter put their rocket launchers near the Ottoman Turkish military’s observation posts in northern Hama.

Knowing that this is where the bad boy rockets were coming from, the Syrian Arab Army finally responded in August by attacking these jihadist positions, which also resulted in the death of a couple Ottoman Turkish military personnel.

Ankara warned Moscow about these incidents that took place in northwestern Hama; however, the Syrian military has vowed to attack the jihadist rebels in any part of Syria.

With the Syrian Army steadily advancing at the southeastern region of the Idlib Governorate, the jihadist rebels are looking for ways to strengthen their positions and evade the devastating Arclight airstrike

Twenty suspects face trial for deadly 2015 Paris attacks
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] French prosecutors called Friday for 20 suspects to go on trial over the massacre of 130 people by jacket wallahs and button men in Gay Paree four years ago.

In a 562-page indictment, the office of the national anti-terror prosecutor (PNAT) charged 14 people currently in prison or under judicial supervision, including Salah Abdeslam, the sole surviving suspected participant in the attacks.

Six others are currently targeted by arrest warrants, including Fabien and Jean-Michel Clain, notorious propagandists for ISIS, which grabbed credit for the killings.

An ISIS online magazine claimed in March that the two brothers were killed in coalition Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s in Syria earlier this year.

The five judges overseeing investigations that wrapped up last month, and who have worked with colleagues in Austria, Germany, Greece and Bulgaria, will now decide when to hold the trial, expected in Gay Paree during 2021.

The PNAT said 1,740 civil plaintiffs had joined the case against the suspected organizers of one of the deadliest attacks in French history.

A total of 130 people died in the November 15, 2015, assaults by 10 heavily armed button men who attacked during a football match at the national stadium outside Gay Paree, and then bars and restaurants in the capital as well as the Bataclan concert hall.

All detonated their explosive vests or were killed by police except Abdeslam, who was arrested in Belgium four months later.

He has refused to cooperate with Sherlocks and remains in solitary confinement.

The other suspects facing trial have been charged with helping to organize or finance the attacks, or helping the button men to flee.

They include Oussama Atar,
...also known as Abou Ahmad, he comes out of a typical jihadi clan — younger brother Yassine Atar was arrested in 2017 as local emir for the team that did the 2015 Paris and Brussels attacks, while cousins Ibrahim and Khalid Bakraoui kaboomed themselves in Zaventem airport and the Brussels Maalbeek metro station in 2016, and cousins Moustapha and Jawad Benhattal were arrested for planning to kaboom a soccer match in Belgium...
a Belgian-Moroccan citizen who is thought to have helped orchestrate the attack from Raqqa, the former capital of the ISIS’ so-called "caliphate" in Syria.

Atar was reportedly killed in early 2018, but his death has not been officially confirmed.

Since 2015, La Belle France has been struck by a wave of murderous Moslem terror strikes that have claimed the lives of over 250 people.

The same murderous Moslem cell blamed for the Gay Paree attacks is also believed to have struck the airport and metro system of Brussels in March 2016, killing 32 people.

Cyprus, Greece decry Turkey-Libya maritime border deal
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Cyprus and Greece have strongly criticized an agreement between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
and Libya’s UN-recognized government to delineate the maritime boundaries between the two countries, describing it as a serious breach of international law that disregards the lawful rights of other eastern Mediterranean countries.

The Cypriot Foreign Ministry said on Friday a Memorandum of Understanding the two countries signed has no legal validity and can’t undermine the rights of Cyprus or other coastal states.

It said Turkey’s "distortion" of international law doesn’t afford it any legal rights and demonstrates that Ankara is alone in its views.

The Turkey-Libya deal announced this week added tension to an ongoing dispute with Greece, Cyprus and Egypt over oil-and-gas drilling rights in the eastern Mediterranean - with the Europe

Turkey does not recognize Cyprus as a state and is conducting exploratory gas drilling in waters where the ethnically divided island nation has exclusive economic rights.

Ankara says it’s defending its rights and those of breakaway Ottoman Turkish Cypriots to regional energy reserves.

In Athens, a front man for the Greek Foreign Ministry said Turkey was not acting in a neighborly manner.

"The signing by Turkey and Libya of a memorandum of understanding cannot violate the sovereign rights of third countries. Such an action would be a flagrant violation of the International Law of the Sea and would produce no legal effect," front man Alexandros Yennimatas said.

The Ottoman Turkish ambassador to Athens was summoned to the ministry on Thursday for consultations with the minister, while Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis discussed the issue on Friday on a call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Greek officials said.

US says Iraqi leaders must address grievances after PM quits
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The United States called Friday on Iraqi leaders to address the "legitimate" grievances of protesters including corruption after the embattled prime minister announced his resignation.

"We share the protesters’ legitimate concerns," a State Department spokeswoman said, echoing a US line through the two months of protests.

"We continue to urge the government of Iraq to advance the reforms demanded by the people, including those that address unemployment, corruption, and electoral reform," she said.

The spokeswoman did not comment directly on Prime Minister Adil Abdel Mahdi’s decision to quit, saying that the State Department deferred to the Iraqi government for further comment.

Abdel Mahdi had been seen as a nimble enough player to please both Iran

The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and the United States, arch-adversaries that both have longstanding connections inside Iraq.

He weathered two months of protests that had killed more than 400 people but gave up Friday when he lost the support of the Shia Moslem-majority nation’s top holy man, Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani.

The United States has repeatedly called for Iraqi leaders to listen to protesters but has been relatively restrained about intervening in a state that it completely recrafted after the 2003 invasion.

Much of the US focus has been on demanding that Iraqis distance themselves from neighboring Iran.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has also threatened to impose sanctions on Iraqi officials found to have stolen wealth.

Abu Sayyaf hostages recount their ordeal
[AFP] A British man and his wife rescued this week from militant captors in the southern Philippines say they were chained and threatened with decapitation if they didn’t deliver a ransom. The couple, shaken but unharmed, told of their nearly two-month ordeal to reporters after escaping during a gun battle on Monday between Philippine troops and the Islamic State-linked Abu Sayyaf.

Armed men abducted the couple on October 4 at the beach resort they run on the southern island of Mindanao. They were taken to Jolo island, a well-known stronghold of the Abu Sayyaf, which has carried out some of the Philippines’ worst terrorist attacks.

The husband, Alan Hyrons, painted a “very humiliating and degrading” life in captivity, with little to eat in a haze of constant fear. His wife Wilma said, "They chained our legs... It was very difficult, but we endured because we believe in God. One of them treated us well, but then he told me he would be the one assigned to cut off my head if the money does not arrive on time."

She said the men pointed guns at her face, ordering her to call her brother so he would sell all their assets to raise their ransom, which the couple did not state.

Their chance for escape came after several days of clashes between the military and the kidnappers, which saw at least five of the gunmen killed.

“It’s something you see on films and you take it to be a film. But in real life it’s terrifying,” Alan said, describing the final gun battle.

“There were only 10 of them when we escaped ... It was the commander who got hit first so I told Alan, let us run. We should not wait here to be killed."

"Fake news gonna fake!" the president’s oldest son wrote.

Terrorists’ (BHTs) gun trucks and killed some fighters at Borgozo in Borno.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, disclosed this in a statement, on Friday, in Abuja.

He explained that this was achieved when NAF Jets and a helicopter gunship were scrambled to provide close air support to ground troops as they repelled a BHT attack on the location.

"The aircraft, upon arrival overhead the target area, tracked and engaged three of the BHT gun trucks that were involved in the attack. The BHTs moved the vehicles under some trees, while some of the fighters alighted the vehicles and attempted to escape into the surrounding bushes" he said.

"The attack aircraft engaged them, scoring accurate hits on two vehicles, which were seen engulfed in flames, and neutralising some of the fleeing terrorists," he added.

Daramola said the Nigerian airforce, operating in concert with surface forces, would sustain its efforts to completely destroy all remnants of the holy warriors in the North East.

Syrian Kurds support Russian military presence in northeast Syria: Putin
[ALMASDARNEWS] Russia’s military police in the area of the Ottoman Turkish-Syrian border see the Kurds’ support, because it is clear for everyone that the Russian military’s mission there is to provide protection, Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
said at a meeting of Russia’s Nationalities Relations Council on Friday.

In his opinion, "at least some positive achievements" that have materialized on the border between Syria and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

"rely on the Kurds’ support and their interests."

"The people understand this. They display a kind-hearted approach towards us, even love," Putin said. In all communities the Russian military police that patrol the Ottoman Turkish-Syrian border "see a very kind attitude of the Kurdish population, because the people there see and understand that the Russian army is there to protect them. This is a hard fact."

At the session the co-chairman of the council of the federal ethnic and cultural autonomy of Russia’s Kurds, Farkhat Patiyev, complained that experts on one of the federal television channels insulted the Kurdish people and set different ethnic groups against each other.

"They are not officials, they do not represent the authorities," Putin said. "They do not express the viewpoint of either the television broadcaster or Russia’s authorities."

Putin recalled that Russia is home to many Kurds and has always had very kind and friendly relations with this people.

"I’ve no idea of what kind of nonsense somebody might’ve said. But I believe that all people should have enough common sense to understand that this has nothing to do with the official position of the Russian authorities," he concluded.

Algerian protesters keep up pressure on authorities as vote nears
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Tens of thousands of Algerian protesters marched on Friday to demand that a presidential election next month be canceled until the old ruling guard steps aside and the army quits politics.

The marches, held in cities and towns across the country, marked the 41st consecutive weekly protest of a movement that has already forced the ruling hierarchy to jettison a veteran president and jail brass hats.

The protest movement’s continued momentum now poses a major challenge to the military, which has pushed for the December 12 election as the only way to resolve the deadlock between the authorities and the nebulous, leaderless opposition movement.

Protesters on Friday chanted "No to the election," "Free the detainees" and "the army should leave politics" as they marched through central Algiers. One protester held up a placard reading: "They have the vote. We have the veto."

Since the election campaign officially began earlier this month, tensions have escalated, with more frequent demonstrations, more arrests, longer prison terms and scuffles between police and protesters in a provincial town on Wednesday.

Algeria’s main labour union, which is pro-government, plans a rare march on Saturday in Algiers to demonstrate in favor of the election.

The protests began in February as it became clear that veteran leader Abdelaziz Bouteflika
...10th president-for-life of Algeria. He was elected in 1999 and served on his third or four terms. When he announced for the fifth, or maybe it was the sixth, visibly doddering, a grateful nation rose up in its wrath and threw him out...
planned to seek another presidential term in a vote originally scheduled for July.

As hundreds of thousands marched across the country, the army pushed him to quit in April. Dozens of senior figures, including a former intelligence chief, Bouteflika’s brother, government ministers and allied business tycoons were detained.

Several of them have been jugged
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
for long terms on corruption charges and two former prime ministers, Ahmed Ouyahia and Abdelmalik Sellal, are to be prosecuted next week.

However,
ars longa, vita brevis...
the protesters have demanded a more thorough purge of the ruling elite, which has controlled Algeria since winning independence from La Belle France in 1962, and the authorities have also arrested dozens of opposition figures and demonstrators.

Algeria, which relies heavily on oil and gas sales, has been hit hard by the crash in oil prices, halving its revenues from $60 billion to $30 billion.

I've come to the conclusion that Burisma's purpose in existance was to tie up all the permits and drill them very slowly so that Ukraine would stay dependent on Russia, and that the Democrats are in on the con, and guilty of everything they accuse Trump of.

For instance, it says "Burisma explores and produces at eight locations in five regions" which doesn't give you any solid information such as "how many rigs do they have operating." It also says "See also Trump-Ukraine Scandal" as if Captain Alzheimers isn't on tape bragging about getting people in Ukraine fired for daring to investigate the con.

#9  Compare and contrast the information available about Burisma (besides the scandal) and "Ukrnafta," found here:

https://www.ukrnafta.com/en/pro-kompaniyu

Which says they have 28 drilling rigs but are mainly focused on oil and condensates and just a little natural gas.

When you look at Burisma, you can find news articles about the Drilling Rig They Just Bought, but no real details on anything else.

I think it's a fake company.

Africa Subsaharan
Boko Haram Criminals Suffer Another Debilitating Defeat In The Hands Of Resilient Combined Troops
[THENIGERIANVOICE] The combined troops of Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE and Sector 2 of the Multinational Joint Task Force (Chadian Forces) led by Commander Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE on 28 November 2019, dealt a decisive blow on the criminal ISWAP gunnies at Duguri Island in the extreme Northern Borno area. The resilient troops, supported by the Air Task Force OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE, while marching against extreme odds posed by marshy flooded terrain to clear NJARWA and DUGURU Villages made contact with the criminals who were hibernating in the area.

The troops, having successfully cleared both villages, took up a harbour position at which remnants of the criminal ISWAP gunnies decided to cowardly attack them from their rear. The dogged troops immediately responded with superior firepower, outmanoeuvred the criminal murderous Moslems and handed them a well deserved defeat in the process.

The Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
criminals who were mounted in 4 Gun Trucks with the intention of overrunning the troops harbour position from the rear. In the aftermath of the fierce fire fight that ensued, the gallant troops succeeded in neutralizing 13 of the ISWAP criminals. The troops also captured 3 Gun Trucks, 3 Anti Aircraft Guns, 12 AK 47 Rifles, 3 Bandoliers of Anti Aircraft Guns and 270 Rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition among other critical assets.

Unfortunately, 4 of our highly courageous troops were maimed during the encounter. Fortunately, 2 of the maimed soldiers have already stabilized in a nearby military medical facility while the other 2 are awaiting air evacuation for further medical management.

Down Under
Terrorists who planned to blow up Federation Square killing thousands of people in a Christmas Day massacre smirk before they are jailed
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Terrorists who planned to blow up Melbourne's
...Melbourne is a hotbed of jihadis and crime — the Minneapolis of Australia, only with a less homogenous population of miscreants except in the most important characteristic.
Federation Square in a Christmas Day massacre have been tossed in the calaboose.
Into the paddy wagon wit' yez!
Ahmed Mohammed, 27, Abdullah Chaarani, 29, and Hamza Abbas, 24, were found guilty of terror charges for plotting attacks through the central city in 2016.

The group had bought machetes, carried out reconnaissance in the Melbourne CBD and built practice bombs while conspiring to develop the potentially deadly plan.

They were arrested and taken into custody three days before Christmas.

The trio were seen smirking as they made their way into the Supreme Court of Victoria for sentencing on Friday.

Mohammed and Chaarani were sentenced to 28 years behind bars, while Abbas must serve 16 years.

A fourth man, Hamza Abbas' brother Ibrahim Abbas, is already serving up to 24 years after pleading guilty to the plot last year.

During sentencing Justice Christopher Beale described the plot as an 'assault on the fundamental values of our society'.

'Each of you, to a greater or lesser degree, accessed materials on the internet supportive of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
and violent jihad.'

Their views became so warped they had come to believe the mass slaughter of innocent civilians would be a 'glorious act, pleasing to Allah', he said.

'The stupidity of that belief was matched only by its malevolence.'

The men have reasonable prospects of rehabilitation, he said.
Men who smirk during their sentencing hearing are not ready to be rehabilitated.
During a hearing last month the men claimed they had turned their backs on ISIS since they were arrested in 2016, the ABC reported.

'I renounce violent jihad. I renounce ISIS. I renounce murderous Moslem ideology,' Chaarani told the court.
Then they smirked, which makes this taqqiya.
Chaarani and Mohammed were already convicted of terrorism charges and were serving 22 year sentences for burning down a mosque in Melbourne's north weeks before the planned Christmas Day attack.
That’s the Imam Ali Islamic Center, serving the Shiite community. No one was injured. Mohammed and Hatim Moukhaiber both denied involvement. Chaarani admitted his role, but argued he had been part of an act of protest, advocacy or dissent, not terrorism.

#2  There's a terrorist camp disguised as 'secular religious retreat' in South Wales, another is a mosque in Melbourne. They continue to function safely in Turnbull's liberal government and still do.

We passed on actionable int about tens of sasquatches entering and operating in Australia to ASIO in 2017. They did act on what they considered 'immediately expedient', but remained oblivious to these bastards and more like them out of the western humanist belief in the inherent ability of men to... uhh, reform.

Their views became so warped

The islamists' views are not warped. It is our judiciaries, our ministers and bureaucrats whose views are warped. It's our failing they thrive, so something is wrong with us.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Hunter Biden demands his financial records kept SECRET by court in child support suit following claims of significant debts - baby mama Lunden Roberts refuses to agree
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The filing comes just over a week after Biden was revealed to be the father of 28-year-old Lunden Robert's child, having met her at a DC strip club

  • While Roberts is said to agree that a Protective Prder is appropriate, she has so far refused to fully commit to the current terms demanded by Biden

  • Roberts is suing Biden for $11K in legal fees as well as child support payments

  • In addition to the Protective Order, Biden is also requesting an upcoming December 2 hearing be delayed until a decision on the Protective Order is made

  • The former Ukraine energy executive goes on to admit he has incurred 'significant debts' partially caused by his April 2017 divorce to Kathleen Biden
Pissed it all away on strippers and coke. Really. The judge doesn't need to look at his check register.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian Army shoots down Turkish military drone in Qamishli
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has reported that their forces shot down a Ottoman Turkish military drone in northeastern Syria this evening.

According to the army, the SAA forces in the al-Qamishli District of al-Hasakah made the decision to shoot down a Ottoman Turkish military drone after it was spotted circling the area.

The army said the drone was specifically shot down in the southeastern countryside of al-Qamishli, which was previously under the control of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The al-Qamishli District is located in the northern region of the al-Hasakah Governorate near the Ottoman Turkish border. While the Ottoman Turkish military has targeted the city before, they have halted their strikes since the Russian Armed Forces deployed to the military airport.
