Day 2: London Bridge suspect had prior ‘Islamist terrorism’ conviction
2019-11-30
[NYPOST] A man accused of stabbing to death two people and injuring three more in London
Whew! Yesterday it was reported he’s knifed more than 12...
has a previous conviction for an “Islamist terrorism-related offense” — and was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet when he carried out Friday’s attack, according to a report.
No doubt that bracelet helped identify his corpse, even if it did nothing to stop him.
He was in the area of the London Bridge because he was due to speak at an event at Fishmonger’s Hall, where he was scheduled to share his experience as a rehabilitated man
The man — who was shot dead after being wrestled to the ground by bystanders
...definitely a pack, not a herd...
in what British police called a “terrorist incident” — has a criminal history that includes a conviction for that unspecified offense, according to the Telegraph.

The madman, whose name has not yet been released, was sprung from prison about a year ago after agreeing to electronic monitoring, per the report, which cites anonymous government sources.
And what have we learnt from this experience, children?
He was in the area of the London Bridge because he was due to speak at an event at Fishmonger’s Hall, where he was scheduled to share his experience as a rehabilitated man, the Times reports.
He certainly did that...
He was also wearing a phony suicide belt, authorities said.

London Bridge hero used Narwhal tusk to help stop attacker
You may be cool, dear Reader, but are you Narwhal-tusk-from-a-nearby-wall cool?
[NYPOST] A hero bystander who was inside a nearby historic hall when the London Bridge stabbing unfolded Friday ripped a five-foot Narwhal tusk from the wall to help neutralize the knife-wielding madman, a witness said.

The unidentified man can be seen on footage of the stabbing Friday in London hovering over the suspect with the massive tusk as others attempt to disarm the assailant.

Witness Amy Coop tweeted that she was with the man at Fishmongers Hall when attack occurred shortly before 2 p.m.

"A guy who was with us at Fishmongers Hall took a 5’ narwhal tusk from the wall and went out to confront the attacker," she wrote. "You can see him standing over the man (with what looks like a white pole) in the video."

She hailed the man for his bravery saying, "We were trying to help victims inside but that man’s a hero".

Other Twitter users also heaped praise on the man for his quick-thinking.

"This is legit the most bad ass thing I’ve ever heard," tweeted Tom Strachan.

Lawmakers also hailed the group of Londoners who tackled and disarmed the attacker before police shot him dead.

"What’s remarkable about the images we’ve seen is the breath-taking heroism of members of the public who literally ran towards danger not knowing what confronted them," Mayor Sadiq Khan told news hounds.

Officials said the suspect, who has not been identified, killed two people and injured three others.

UK PM: We will ‘hunt down’ anyone linked to London Bridge attack
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] British Prime Minister Boris Johnson
...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies....
on Friday warned that "anybody involved" in the London Bridge attack would be "hunted down and... brought to justice."

Speaking after being briefed by senior police officials, the prime minister also paid tribute to the "bravery" of the emergency services and members of the public who intervened in the attack.

A man wearing a fake explosive vest stabbed several people in London Friday in what police are treating as a terrorist attack before being tackled by members of the public and then fatally shot by officers on London Bridge, police and the city’s mayor said.

The Metropolitan Police said "a number" of people were maimed but gave no information on how many or their conditions. London Mayor Sadiq Khan said some of the injured were at death's door.
Final update of yesterday’s article from The Sun, breaking the news of the attack:
Usman Khan, 28, from Staffordshire, was freed last December and stabbed two people to death while wearing a fake suicide jacket at 2pm yesterday.
There is a photo of the ex-miscreant at the link. Also one of Narwhal Tusk Man facing off with him, tusk at the ready.
The knifeman was convicted in 2012 for Islamic terrorism offences. He was part of a nine-man terror group who plotted to bomb the London Stock Exchange and build a terrorist training camp.

Khan was released on licence 11 months ago.

Yesterday, Khan was a guest at a Cambridge University conference on prisoner rehabilitation when he threatened to blow up the historic Fishmongers' Hall in central London. Those at the event at said he entered the main hall and went on a rampage, attacking anyone who crossed his path.

Reports suggest that Khan was wearing a tag when he went on his bloodthirsty mission just before 2pm.

He then made his way on to London Bridge - the scene of the 2017 terror attack which killed eight - but was eventually pinned down by heroes who tackled him with a fire extinguisher and a whale tusk.

One of the men who helped stop Khan was convicted murderer James Ford who was out on day release.
Wipe that man’s record clean, Yesterday he was a hero who stepped forward to put himself between an evil man and the common folk.
Tour guides Thomas Gray and Stevie Hurst also sprinted over and stamped on his arms which forced him to drop his knives.

He was released from prison in December 2018 on licence.

Armed police then shot Khan twice and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man and a woman were killed during the attack while three other people - a man and two women - remain in hospital.

Khan is believed to have had a gun in his bag.
Thank goodness they stomped on him before he had a chance to start using that.
In a statement released in the early hours, Met Police Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said: "We are now in a position to confirm the identity of the suspect as 28-year-old Usman Khan, who had been residing in the Staffordshire area.

"As a result, officers are, tonight, carrying out searches at an address in Staffordshire.”

‘False flag’ is trending on twitter by users claiming that the incident in London Bridge was a plot to damage Jeremy Corbyn’s chances
A little late for that. Especially since Usman Khan was wearing a monitor after being released from prison after serving six years as part of a 9-man crew plotting to bomb the London Stock Exchange and build a jihadi training camp.

#5  ...And the SOB was a Known Wolf(TM).

Said it before and I'll say it again - when the next 9-11 happens, and it will, we will find out afterwards that the men who did it were known problems, that law enforcement at multiple levels was following them every step of the way, and when he got on the plane he walked right through security while a grandmother in a wheelchair was searched.
