Black Friday always falls on the Friday after the US Thanksgiving holiday, and traditionally marks the start of the Christmas shopping season.

In Germany, the Christmas shopping season begins on the first Sunday in Advent, with wonderful Christmas markets on the central town square selling mulled wine, charmingly decorated gingerbread cookies as big as a child’s head, and all sorts of Christmasy things in stalls lining the square in an organized fashion...

and with the ascendance of online shopping, some Kurdish shoppers can take advantage of the deals.
