WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A top U.S. border official said on Tuesday he expects more than a million migrants will arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border this year, a sign of a growing humanitarian challenge for President Joe Biden on the southwest border.

Illegals ... what's another million (or two, or ten)?
Debt ... what's another trillion (or three, or...)?
US wealth shifted to Oligarchs ... what's another gazillion?
#3
If these tends continue - declining rule of law, electoral fraud and felonies perpetrated by our security agencies, insane and unsustainable debt, foreign invasion by illiterate piss-poor infected peasants - continue this way, and this country will collapse

[PJMedia] Welcome to Joe Biden’s America, where teachers are back to in-person instruction... not for your kids, but for migrant teens who snuck over the border illegally and where the government is now attempting to hurriedly find $144,000-a-year babysitters to watch them as well. All on your dime.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management put out the call on March 25 for heads of departments and supervisors to find current and former federal employees to be reassigned temporarily to watch kids at illegal-alien holding facilities in Dallas, San Diego, San Antonio, and Ft. Bliss.
The feds appear to be trying to keep this job announcement on the low-pro, as it’s going out only to "heads of departments and agencies" on a link that is "not searchable on USAJOBS" webpage.

Another $1 for the Tip Jar.
$144,000 each... just.. unbelievable

I was on the same path to betting on the Bee but then I thought, "This is just too egregious and totally anti-USA so it must be true" Sadly, I was right.

To be fair, not all make the max $144K. Further down the article reads:
There are so many unaccompanied minors that the DHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement put out the call for GS-9 to GS-15-level current and former federal employees who make anywhere from $46,083 to $143,598 per year to watch the kids whose own parents left them to the whims of human traffickers.
and
Hourly rates start at $28.81 an hour to as high as $68.81for a GS-15 employee. Babysitters also get a per diem for hotel and travel for the 120-day long gig.
The midway point is still near $100K. I assume gold plated Federal civil service benefits also apply.
[LegalInsurrection] Today saw the Chauvin court wrap up the testimony of martial arts and security "expert" Douglas Williams, a bystander witness to Floyd’s in-custody death. It also saw the state proceed through four women I’ll refer to as the "minor witnesses," because they were bystander witnesses who under 18 years of age at the time of the incident. Finally, the state brought the firefighter bystander witness to the stand, with court recessing partway through the defense cross-examination of her.
The most interesting event of the day was certainly during the testimony of the firefighter, when Judge Cahill cleared the jury from the room and scolded her for being argumentative with the defense during cross, before sending her to bed with no dinner and telling her to come back to the courtroom for further cross at 9:30am tomorrow (kidding about the bed and dinner part). Chauvin's lawyer seems to be missing opportunities

Ben Shapiro posted the full 37 minute video from the police bodycam here. I know some of you loathe Facebook and won’t open the link, but I have no idea how to extract it for you — sorry. I haven’t watched it because such things upset me, but a friend with martial arts training observed, “Floyd’s drugged state created irrational reactions, but his movements —by former training— were trained. That’s how he kept escaping from lighter holds.”
I would be interested in the observations from the many and variously trained people here.

1. It was not a "choke," let alone a "blood choke" per the idiot faux-expert meathead the prosecution trotted out on Day 1
2. You can't strangle someone by applying pressure to the back of the neck. Floyd's arteries and windpipe were not constructed
3 At 140 lbs, Chauvin didn't weigh nearly enough to crush Floyd's chest cavity and lungs. Even if he had weighed 250 lbs, nine minutes in that position wouldn't have crushed the much bigger Floyd.
Maybe 500 lbs + 30 minutes. But not 140 lbs + 9 minutes

My Judo instructor would have laughed if I had called that pin a choke.
Then he would have choked me so I would remember the difference.
Female firefighter breaking chain of command and SOP by being argumentative with one of the lawyers. I'm suddenly curious what her MO is. Maybe I already know.

Here's what the ME, Dr Andrew Baker, found (see his autopsy report, the real one, not the hired gun's hack job ... the report that Keith Ellison and the prosecutors suppressed for nearly 3 months before quietly slipping it into the official record at the end of August last year):
“No life-threatening injuries identified —
“A. No facial, oral mucosal, or conjunctival petechiae
“B. No injuries of anterior muscles of neck or laryngeal structures
“C. No scalp soft tissue, skull, or brain injuries
“D. No chest wall soft tissue injuries, rib fractures (other than a single rib fracture from CPR), vertebral column injuries, or visceral injuries
“E. Incision and subcutaneous dissection of posterior and lateral neck, shoulders, back, flanks, and buttocks negative for occult trauma”

Chauvin is obviously innocent.
Everyone agrees that he is certain to be convicted, that his life will be destroyed, and that any suggestion to the contrary will be met with mob violence.
Why do we Americans accept this outrageous state of affairs?
We have invaded entire nations, in part with the goal of ensuring more just and democratic outcomes than what is unfolding here at home in front of our eyes.

[ToloNews] The United States reportedly asked the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... to agree to the continued presence of American forces for three or six months in Afghanistan after the May 1 deadline, sources close to the Taliban have said.
According to the sources, the Taliban has so far not made their final decision about the request; however, the group has apparently insisted that first their 7,000 prisoners should be released, and names of Taliban officials should be dropped from the UN blacklist.

[KhaamaPress] New Zealand military forces in Afghanistan left the country, after lowering their flag after 20 years of deployment.
New Zealand Defense News reported that more than 3,500 military personnel served under ISAF, and Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan and it has been NZDF’s longest military deployment abroad.
That’s 175 each year, including officers and et ceteras.
According to reports New Zealand has lost 10 defense force members in Afghanistan.
A Senior National Officer for the final contingent told NZDF Defense news, that its six personnel made a significant contribution, he added, that "while small in number, we had sizeable tasks ahead of us when we first arrived in Afghanistan last year. When we lowered the New Zealand flag, we were all quite proud to be the last Kiwis to represent our country in Afghanistan,"
I’ve no doubt their efforts are properly appreciated by those in a position to know.

[AlAhram] Today’s ruling consequently lifts asset freezes and travel bans on 20 NGOs, which are included in case No.173
The Cairo Appeal Court issued a ruling on Tuesday, dropping charges against 20 NGOs in the 2011 foreign funding case, a judicial statement read, a few months after 20 others were also acquitted of charges.
The new ruling consequently lifts asset freezes and travel bans on the new 20 NGOs, which are included in case No.173.
The NGOs in the case, which dates back to the January Revolution in 2011 that toppled late President Hosni Mubarak ...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011... , faced allegations of receiving foreign funds.
Defendants in the case faced prison sentences in 2013 that ranged between one to five years but were acquitted in 2018.
Today’s ruling denies any motion to move forward with a criminal case against five of these NGOs due to the absence of any crime and the acquittal of the remaining 15 NGOs due to insufficient evidence.
The first five NGOs are the Association for the Advancement of Education, Catholic Relief Services Egypt, Ansar al-Sunnah al-Mohamadeya,
... Supporters of the Tradition — queerly enough, there are jihadi groups called Ansar al Sunnah scattered all over the world...
Transparency International, and Caritas Egypt.
The remaining 15 NGOs include the Salam Institute for Peace and Justice; Ro’yah for Social Studies; Bokra for Media Productions, Media Studies and Human Rights; and the Right to Democracy and Human Rights Centre.
They also include the Human Development Association; the New Future Family Centre for Legal Studies and Human Rights; the Foundation of Full Promotion of Women and Development; New Perspectives for Social Development; the Female Lawyers Union; the People’s Rights Centre; the Transparency Centre for Development Training and Studies; the Association for the Development of Society, Women, Children, and the Environment; the Politics Association for an Open Society, the Technology Centre for Human Rights; and the Union of Rural Development.
The names of these groups were literally translated from Arabic as their exact names in English could not be verified.
"Civil society performs a pivotal role in sustainable development. This is its role that we believe in and in its importance and that all state institutions believe in," a judicial statement read.
The statement urged all Egyptian and foreign organizations, associations, institutions, unions, and entities in Egypt to settle their legal situation with the authorities in accordance with the law.
In December last year, the court issued a ruling lifting asset freezes and travel bans on 20 other NGOs in the case. Charges were also dropped against 14 organizations for insufficient evidence and six for absence of crime.
The six NGOs included the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES); Yalla Nesharek for Social Development; Internews Network; the Naqib Corporation for Training and Democracy Support (NCTDS); the al-Amal Charitable Society in Minya; and the Moslem Family Association in Damanhour.
The other 14 included the National Center for Human Rights; Sahm al-Theqa Association; Hand in Hand for Egypt Association; the Middle East for Development and Human Rights Foundation; Development Resources Center; the Human Rights Centre for the Assistance of Prisoners (HRCAP); and the Egyptian Centre for Development and Democratic Studies.
The list also includes the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs; Coptic Orphans Organisation; El-Sadat Association for Social Development and Welfare; the Egyptian Democratic Institute; the Egyptian Centre for Human Rights; the Maet Center for Constitutional and Legal Studies; and the Future Generation Association.
Some of the exact names of these NGOs could not be verified.
Egypt last year ratified the bylaws of a new NGO law to regulate the work of tens of thousands of NGOs in Egypt.
This comes after an existing version of the law was criticized for imposing steep restrictions on the work of these organizations in the country.

[DW] Tareq Alaows caused a sensation last month when he announced his intention to run for Germany's parliament. Now, he says racism and threats have caused him to reconsider.
On Tuesday, Tareq Alaows, a 31-year-old Damascus-born Syrian refugee and human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... activist, announced that racist attacks and personal threats had forced him to withdraw what had been billed as a historic political candidacy for Germany's parliament, the Bundestag.
Alaows, who fled conscription in Syria and arrived in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... six years ago, had announced his intent to run as a Green Party candidate for his home district of Oberhausen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia back in February. At the time, many lauded the possibility of a refugee entering Germany's parliament but not everyone was enthusiastic.
The candidate, who said he wanted to fight for the rights of refugees in Germany, quickly became the target of social media attacks. Many of those attacking him for his declared desire to change how Germany deals with race, said if he wanted change he should go back to Syria and do something there.
EXPOSED TO 'MASSIVE RACISM' DURING SHORT CANDIDACY
In announcing his withdrawal, Alaows, who has applied for German citizenship, said: "The great public interest generated by my candidacy shows what we refugees can do. But unfortunately our society lacks discrimination-free spaces in many areas of life. It's up to all of us to actively deal with that in our surroundings and to change things."
He said, "the serious threats against me, and more importantly against those around me, are the primary reason for withdrawing my candidacy." Alaows, who received numerous death threats from right-wing bully boy accounts, said he was shocked by the "massive racism" he faced.
Beyond ending his candidacy, Alaows has also withdrawn from his local Green Party branch in the former industrial city of Oberhausen to protect his privacy.
Alaows said last month he planned to run for the Greens in a former coal-mining region of western Germany in a national election on Sept. 26 - as long as his application for German citizenship is approved by then. The Greens said Alaows would have been the first refugee elected to the federal parliament.
Alaows drifted across the Aegean in a rubber boat before walking most of the way from Athens to Vienna. A lawyer, Alaows taught himself German by putting laws into Google Translate on his mobile phone.
He is one of hundreds of thousands of migrants colonists who entered Germany after Chancellor Angela Merkel ...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists... opened the borders in 2015 to refugees fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East and beyond.
But that influx has triggered an upsurge in support for the far right, helping to propel the anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) into the Bundestag parliament in 2017.
Alaows drew a wave of online attacks from the far right, particularly after suggesting that the words "Dem Deutschen Volke" (to the German people) on the parliament building be replaced with "For all people who live in Germany".
Opinion polls put the left-leaning Greens second behind Merkel's conservative bloc.
[ToloNews] Pakistain’s intelligence agency has summoned the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... ’s shadow governors and commanders to wage war in Afghanistan, said Nazar Ali Wahidi, the deputy head of the National Directorate of Security ...the Afghan national intel agency... (NDS), Afghanistan's intelligence agency.
However, women are made to be loved, not understood... he said that the Afghan cops are fully prepared to crush any hostile move by the Taliban if the grinding of the peace processor does not lead to a final conclusion.
"The majority of Taliban governors and military officials have been summoned to Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire... to prepare for the war," said Nazar Ali Wahidi, the deputy head of the NDS.
"I wish Pakistain was kind and would help Afghanistan reach peace and move toward development. But Pakistain always thinks of how to kill the Afghans. They have made preparations for war, but we are also ready for it," added Nazar Ali Wahidi, the deputy head of NDS.
Meanwhile, ...back at the pond, Gloria again dodged the questing tip of the giant frog's tongue and ran for her life... Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior said there are credible intelligence reports that the murderous Moslems are trying to take over picturesque provincial capitals.
"The enemy is trying to launch new attacks to gain points in the political arena," said Mohammad Anwar Baripal, deputy minister of interior.
"There are threats against us in the south, in the west and all provinces, we are fully prepared to crush the threats," said Iqbal Ali Naderi, the first deputy minister of defense.
On Tuesday, the Afghan senate summoned security officials to answer questions about the deteriorating security situation, particularly regarding the surge in casualties among Afghan cops, and the assassinations in big cities.
"Everyone wants security, we do not understand why our security institutions have failed to address the security problems, they should explain the reasons behind this," said senator Mualem Lalagul.
According to the security institutions, over the past 24 hours, 20 provinces of the country have witnessed fighting between the Afghan cops and the Taliban.

[PRESSTV] A United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... (UN) probe has found La Belle France guilty of killing a large number of civilians in central Mali, where a persisting French military intervention has already sparked controversy.
On January 3, French fighter jets struck a site near the remote village of Bounti. Local residents and villagers said at the time that the strike targeted a wedding event and killed civilians.
But La Belle France insisted that the bombing had been conducted based on precise intelligence, rejecting allegations of slaying wedding guests. It also denied that a wedding had taken place in the area that day at all.
The United Nations (UN) mission in Mali, known as MINUSMA, together with the UN forensic experts, subsequently launched a probe into the deadly incident.
In a report summarizing the probe’s findings on Tuesday, the UN said at least 22 people died in the French aerial strike earlier this year, of whom 19 were civilians.
The UN was able to confirm that there had been a wedding ceremony that brought together around 100 civilians at the site of the strike, including five people who were believed to be members of murderous Moslem groups, the report said.
"The group affected by the strike was overwhelmingly composed of civilians who are protected persons under international humanitarian law," It added. "This strike raises serious concerns about respect for the principles of the conduct of hostilities."
The report constitutes a rare criticism of the actions of the French forces and their operations across Mali.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the French Defense Ministry said it had "numerous reservations about the methodology used" to prepare the report.
[ToloNews] Jawed Ludin, a former deputy foreign minister of Afghanistan, on Tuesday said that the Heart of Asia conference had failed to create regional consensus.
Ludin said that in terms of its format, the conference is a good platform, but he insisted that enough work was not carried out within the conference to help improve regional consensus, particularly about the Afghan grinding of the peace processor, or to improve mutual trust between regional nations.
"There was political fragmentation at the regional level, there is also mistrust at the regional level and unfortunately this also exists today," said Ludin who claims to be one of the founders of the process.
Ludin also said that only sporadic efforts were made to build a political consensus among countries in the region, which hindered the path to achieve the goals of the conference.
"Today this Heart of Asia conference-Istanbul process could have been a good framework for regional consensus in support of Afghan peace," added Ludin.
Meanwhile, ...back at the precinct house, Sergeant Maloney wasn't buying it. It was just too pat. The whole thing smelled phony, kind of like a dead mackeral but without the scales... President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... , in an address to the ninth Heart of Asia — Istanbul Process conference in Tajikistan, offered details on his government’s plan for a potential UN-led conference in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... expected to take place next month, and he reiterated the need to conduct peace efforts within the country’s constitution.
Ghani said that peace efforts require patience: "We envision three phases to this passage: making, building and sustaining peace, focused on achieving the agreed upon end state of a sovereign, democratic, united, neutral and connected Afghanistan."
Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process was launched in 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey, to help find a solution to the challenges facing Afghanistan. Fifteen countries participate in this process, while another 17 countries and 12 regional and international organizations support it.
"From the political perspective, these meetings can help Afghanistan to be in a better position, this could be a good achievement for Afghanistan," said Assadullah Zaeeri, a university lecturer.
[JPost] The reports also affirm Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which the US recognized in 2019.
The annual United States report on global human rights practices affirmed that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel, but reintroduced language that spoke of Israeli occupation of territory, two-states and gave a nod in the direction of Palestinian Authority rights to sections of Jerusalem.
The annual County Reports on Human Rights Practices, the first one authored by the Biden administration, looked at human rights issues in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, as part of its global analysis on almost 200 nations. With respect to Israel and the Palestinians the new report followed for the most part language used by the former Trump administration.
Both the Biden and Trump administrations clarified that the United States has recognized that Jerusalem is Israel capital since 2017 and neither report clarifies the boundaries of Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem. Both reports explain that such boundaries are subject to negotiations.
The reports also affirm Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which the US recognized in 2019.
But the Trump administration downgraded the Palestinian connection to Jerusalem, noting that that "the Palestinian Authority exercises no authority over Jerusalem."
This year's report, which looked at the year 2020, omitted that line. The 2020 report also included an explanation about Israeli occupation missing from the Trump administration's 2019 report. The 2020 report stated: "This section of the report covers Israel within the 1949 Armistice Agreement line as well as Golan Heights and east Jerusalem territories that Israel occupied during the June 1967 war and where it later extended its domestic law, jurisdiction, and administration."
The 2019 report by the Trump administration did not use the word "occupation" with respect to Israeli hold on territory. What are the odds Bai-Den's puppeteers put "Occupation" back in?

[PRESSTV] Fearless Leader of the Islamic Revolution ...Iran's doddering head theocrat... Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei ...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini... has hailed those who sacrificed their lives to help foil the conspiracies of Iran’s enemies and pave the way for the Islamic establishment to achieve its goals, saying the deaders should serve as a role model for the country’s young generation.Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks, which were published on Tuesday, during a meeting in mid-March with those in charge of a summit in commemoration of 4,000 deaders of central Yazd Province.
"Martyrs enjoy a special life in the purgatory world and their important message to those who follow their path is a promise that they will be safe from fear and agony," the Leader said.
"The motive of deaders for their presence in the field of Jihad (endeavor for the sake of God) was to support the [1979] Revolution, the ideals of [the late founder of the Islamic Theocratic Republic] Imam Khomeini, and hijab, and to repel the enemy’s evil and pave the way for the [Islamic] establishment to achieve its goals," he added, calling for efforts to protect these ideals against attempts to distort them.
Ayatollah Khamenei further warned against the plots being constantly hatched by the enemies to disappoint the Iranian youth and divert them from the path of the Revolution, saying the enemies should not be allowed to influence the youth and use them to advance their own objectives.
The deaders that carry high honors should be introduced to the students so that they will get to know the great achievements of their previous generation, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader further expressed regret that there are people who are living in this country in peace and security, a fruit of the deaders’ sacrifices, but work against the ideals of those who bit the dust for their homeland.
"In the face of such attempts, you should double the hard work on the path of truth and deaders," the Leader advised.
