MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A man who heckled President Bush at a political rally was fired from his job at an advertising and design company. The graphic designer said he was told he'd embarrassed and offended a client who provided tickets to the event. "I was told that my actions reflected badly on the company and that a client was upset," Glen Hiller of Berkeley Springs said. Cause - meet Effect
Hiller was escorted from Hedgesville High School on Tuesday after shouting comments about the Iraq war and the failure to find weapons of mass destruction there. The crowd had easily drowned out Hiller with its chant: "Four more years." Lost your job and nobody heard you - loser
Arriving at his job with Octavo Designs in Frederick, Md., the next morning, Hiller said he was "shocked" to learn he was fired. A woman at the company who declined to give her name confirmed Hiller was axed because of his conduct at the rally. I'm "shocked" too
"They see my actions as negative," Hiller said, adding he'd do the same thing again. "There is no venue for the regular guy to ask a question. We don't have access to people in power. And those events are completely scripted and controlled."

What is it with this moron? The guy's basically entertaining clients - the point of which is to bond with him, not offend him.

Bad choices are always someone else's fault when you're so righteously right. You'd do it again, huh? What a dipshit. No one is coming to save you, sonny.

Dimwit, make nice to the guy who puts food on your table. Go with the Kerry campaign. I understand they would NEVER NEVER try to censor a book or a political ad as long as it's pro sKerry.

Police and union officials demanded an investigation after the judge had a court officer escort a robbery suspect out a rear door and to an elevator normally reserved for judges while a detective was waiting for him on June 10.
This little nugget was omitted from the original article I posted back in June. Thank you for the update, SuperHose.

Zen, anything less then removing her from the bench seems like it would be a travesty. She has taken the idea of "activist judge" to a new and stupid extreme.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
