[NYPOST] Two Alabama women were busted during a traffic stop that turned up two gallons of the date rape drug GHB in their car, officials said.
Ashley Prince, 47, and Jessica Patridge, 26, were driving Friday on Interstate 85 in Georgia when they were stopped for a window-tint violation, according to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.
During the stop, officers noticed "behavior consistent with criminal activity" and deployed a K9 to conduct a "free-air sniff" around the vehicle, authorities said.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of two gallons of liquid gamma hydroxybutyrate, which is commonly known as the date-rape drug GHB, according to officials.
The duo, from Opelika, Alabama, was arrested on charges of possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.
Authorities later conducted a search of Prince’s home and discovered methamphetamine, LSD, marijuana and additional quantities of the date-rape drug, the report said.
More charges are expected to be filed against Prince in connection with the narcotic

I just recently discovered the television show "Live PD" on the A&E network (some nights its all they show). Its a show about live police cams and the crimes they encounter. I knew the street scene for drugs was bad, but no idea HOW bad until I watched several of these episodes. In a nutshell, virtually no criminals have driver's licenses or insurance, few drive their own cars, and most have one or more drugs on their person or in their vehicle. In our rush to "decriminalize" crime we're creating a virtual "Mad Max" world on the streets.

Gorb, don't be distracted by the 'date-rape' drug bit. Good chance they just use the drug to knock out folks and rob them. And folks rarely look their best in a mugshot, they probably prey on truckers.

Apparently GHB has become a recreational drug, and isn’t just a date rape drug anymore. There’s been a couple of high profile overdose deaths lately, and several deaths here in Houston. Poor addicts will do anything to escape reality.

[PRESSTV] Police in the Nigerian capital Abuja have gave the demonstrators a whiff of grapeshot they demanding the release of top Moslemholy man Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky.
The Islamic Movement in Nigeria says five people were maimed in the attack.
The Tuesday demonstration was also held to condemn a recent statement by the Kaduna State governor, who has said Sheikh Zakzaky will not be released as long as he is in office.
The top holy man has been in jail since December 2015, when the army launched a deadly onslaught on his residence in the northern town Zaria.
Authorities have transferred the sheikh and his wife to a prison in Kaduna.
[DW] Prosecutors in Berlin said that the suspects are believed to have staked out locations for a future "Islamist-motivated" attack. Evidence gathered so far does not indicate that there were any concrete attack plans.
Police carried out raids at properties across four German states on Tuesday morning, targeting suspected Islamists who were believed to be "planning a serious violent act endangering the state."
Prosecutors in Berlin said the suspects were of "Chechen origin from the Islamist scene."
The raids took place in the capital, Berlin, as well as in the eastern states of Brandenburg and Thuringia and the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The suspects involved are between 23 and 28 years old, authorities said in a statement after the raids. The statement did not say how many people were tossed into the calaboose or questioned by police.
STAKING OUT LOCATIONS
Investigators said the suspects were accused of staking out locations to later carry out an "Islamist-motivated" attack, but added that there were no indications of any concrete attack plans.
"The searches today should help to bring clarity about their real motives," Berlin authorities said in a statement.
Officers secured cash, knives and data storage devices in the raids, which involved around 180 officers.
Authorities were prompted to carry out the raids after discovering suspicious pictures on the cellphone of one suspect, who was stopped during a police check.
ON ALERT FOR ATTACK THREATS
German authorities have been on high alert since a rejected asylum-seeker drove a truck into a Berlin Christmas market in December 2016, killing 12 people.
Since the attack, German authorities say they've thwarted nine planned attacks believed to have radical Islamist motives.
In November, authorities in the western city of Offenbach arrested three men for allegedly planning to carry out a kaboom in the name of the murderous MoslemIslamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group.
Germany’s security services estimate there are around 11,000 Islamic radicals in Germany. Of them, some 680 are deemed particularly dangerous and capable of using violence — a five-fold increase since 2013.
Around 150 of these potentially dangerous individuals have been detained for various offences.
[AnNahar] An explosion damaged a residential building in central Stockholm on Monday, police said, and while no injuries were reported it follows a wave of criminal bombings in the country.
Images published by Swedish media showed damage to the building's facade, the front door demolished and broken glass and debris scattered on the ground.
Several nearby cars were also damaged by the blast, the cause of which was not known, in the affluent neighbourhood of Ostermalm. Expired lutefisk?
"At this time it's not possible to say whether the earth-shattering kaboom occurred in or outside the building," a police spokeswoman told newspaper Aftonbladet.
Authorities were alerted to the earth-shattering kaboom shortly after 1:00 am local time (0000 GMT), and the building was evacuated shortly after.
A preliminary investigation has been opened into "devastation endangering the public."
Two hours later, around 3:00 am, another blast occurred outside a nightclub in Uppsala, some 70 kilometres (40 miles) north of Stockholm, although no link between the earth-shattering kabooms has been established. No injuries were reported.
Ranked among the world's richest nations, Sweden has typically low levels of violence compared to other Western countries.
But the Nordic country has been experiencing a surge in gang related violence - often linked to drug-trafficking - in recent years.
In addition to shootings that result in dozens of deaths and injuries every year, rival groups have begun to routinely use bombs to intimidate their adversaries, including hand grenades and thermoses packed with explosives.
From January until November 2019, 236 explosions were reported, according to the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention, though few have resulted in serious injuries.

In Germany, at Christmas 1981, a tenant deliberately sprayed Surströmming broth in the stairwell. Her lease was terminated without notice. The Regional Court of Cologne confirmed the termination after a can of Surströmming had been opened during the oral hearing.
The transport of the Surströmming cans is expressly prohibited on flights of British Airways and Air France due to concerns about the risk of explosion.
Btw lutefisk is quite ok, surströmming is... oh well... special.

So Surströmming is the North European version of durian fruit? Good to know.
'What a flavour!' the Centipede cried. 'It's terrific! There's nothing like it! There has never been! And I should know because I personally have tasted all the finest foods in the world!' Whereupon the Centipede, with his mouth full of of the peach and with juice running down all over his chin, suddenly burst into song:
'I've eaten many strange and scrumptious dishes in my time,
Like jellied gnat and danyprats and earwigs cooked in slime,
And mice with rice - they're really nice,
When roasted in their prime.
(But don't forget to sprinkle them with just a pinch of grime.)
'I've eaten fresh mudburgers by the greatest cooks there are,
And scrambled dregs and stinkbugs' eggs and hornets stewed in tar,
And pails of snails and lizards' talks,
And beetles by the jar.
(A beetle is improved by just a splash of vinegar.)
'I often eat boiled slobbages. They're grand when served beside
Minced doodlebugs and curried slugs. And have you ever tried
Mosquitoes' toes and wampfish roes
Most delicately fried?
(The only trouble is they disagree with my inside.)
'I'm mad for crispy wasp-stings on a piece of buttered toast,
And pickled spines of porcupines. And then a gorgeous roast
Of dragon's flesh, well hung, not fresh -
It costs a pound at most.
(And comes to you in barrels if you order it by post.)
'I crave the tasty tentacles of octopi for tea
I like hot-dogs, I LOVE hot-frogs, and surely you'll agree
A plate of soil with engine oil's
A super recipe.
(I hardly need to mention that it's practically free.)
'For dinner on my birthday shall I tell you what I chose:
Hot noodles made from poodles on a slice of garden hose -
And a rather smelly jelly
Made from armadillo's toes
(The jelly is delicious, but you have to hold your nose.)
'Now comes,' the Centipede declared, 'the burden of my speech:
These foods are rare beyond compare - some are right out of reach;
But there's no doubt I'd go without
A million plates of each
For one small mite
One tiny bite
Of this FANTASTIC PEACH!'

[Arutz 7] - At least three people were killed with more injured in an airstrike on Iranian-aligned targets in Syria allegedly carried out by the Israeli Air Force overnight, an observer group has claimed.
According to a report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Wednesday morning, the airstrike on the T-4 airbase in Homs, Syria late Tuesday night killed at least three fighters, and left an unspecified number injured.
The report said that the number of dead was likely to increase, given the severity of the injuries suffered by some of the fighters.
The three fighters killed were said to be "Iranians or members of militias loyal to Iran". All three were non-Syrians.
While Israel has not confirmed its involvement in the airstrike, in keeping with the IDF’s policy of not commenting on strikes inside Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights attributed the strike to Israel. Night Jews
Tiyas Military Airbase is also known as the T-4 Airbase.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the strikes destroyed an ammunition depot as well as military vehicles and a building under construction at the base.
The alleged strikes marked the first time in 2020 that IAF jets bombed military targets belonging to Iran west of Syria’s Deir Ezzor and came several hours after two Syrian Air Force cargo flights from Tehran landed at the base.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense said Tuesday that IAF jets entered Syria from Tanf, in southeastern Homs, where the United States has a base near the Iraqi-Jordanian border around 10.10 p.m.
Syrian state media SANA quoted a military source as saying that “army air defenses confronted an air aggression perpetrated by Israeli warplanes” and “immediately intercepted the hostile missiles, shooting down a number of them.”
According to SANA, four missiles struck their targets.
Simultaneously, explosions were heard in the Deir Ezzor area of eastern Syria near sites belonging to Syrian regime forces.
The strikes also come several hours after the Israeli army’s annual intel assessment was released and noted that the targeted assassination of Iran’s Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani provides a significant opportunity to counter Tehran’s growing aggression in the region.
