2020-01-15
[ToloNews] At least two people were killed and eight others were maimed in back-to-back explosions in Mazar-e-Sharif, capital of Balkh province, on Tuesday morning, local officials said.

The blast happened around 8:30 am local time after bombs went kaboom! close to the regional hospital in Mazar-e-Sharif, said Adel Shah Adel, a front man for the provincial governor.

"Two children--one 14-year-old and one 10-year-old-- were killed in the blasts, and eight others, including a police officer, were maimed," Adel said.

"Investigations are ongoing and more details will be shared soon," he said.

No group has yet grabbed credit for the blasts.
