Pentagon chief: US troops, armored vehicles going to Syria oil fields

#5 Yes, CHVK Wagner Group, a Russian private military company (PMC) experienced a very rude awakening near a Syrian oil field back in Feb of 2018.

The Russian doesn't have much, but he has a pretty good memory.
