Two women busted in Georgia with two gallons of date-rape drug
2020-01-15
[NYPOST] Two Alabama women were busted during a traffic stop that turned up two gallons of the date rape drug GHB in their car, officials said.

Ashley Prince, 47, and Jessica Patridge, 26, were driving Friday on Interstate 85 in Georgia when they were stopped for a window-tint violation, according to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.

During the stop, officers noticed "behavior consistent with criminal activity" and deployed a K9 to conduct a "free-air sniff" around the vehicle, authorities said.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of two gallons of liquid gamma hydroxybutyrate, which is commonly known as the date-rape drug GHB, according to officials.

The duo, from Opelika, Alabama, was arrested on charges of possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.

Authorities later conducted a search of Prince’s home and discovered methamphetamine, LSD, marijuana and additional quantities of the date-rape drug, the report said.

More charges are expected to be filed against Prince in connection with the narcotic

#9  Apparently GHB has become a recreational drug, and isn’t just a date rape drug anymore. There’s been a couple of high profile overdose deaths lately, and several deaths here in Houston. Poor addicts will do anything to escape reality.

#8  Gorb, don't be distracted by the 'date-rape' drug bit. Good chance they just use the drug to knock out folks and rob them. And folks rarely look their best in a mugshot, they probably prey on truckers.

#7  Gorb's comment reminds me of the old "one-bagger, two-bagger, coyote" joke.

#4  A gallon each? I don't care how much they drink, I wouldn't touch either of them with a ten foot pole.

#3  I just recently discovered the television show "Live PD" on the A&E network (some nights its all they show). Its a show about live police cams and the crimes they encounter. I knew the street scene for drugs was bad, but no idea HOW bad until I watched several of these episodes. In a nutshell, virtually no criminals have driver's licenses or insurance, few drive their own cars, and most have one or more drugs on their person or in their vehicle. In our rush to "decriminalize" crime we're creating a virtual "Mad Max" world on the streets.
