[Bee] U.S.—As a dismal job numbers and economic data were released this week, many are regretting Buffalo Guy didn’t manage to body-slam Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi and seize the presidency.
The superviolent insurrection on January 6th was initially met with disdain by a majority of Americans, but though they may disagree with the methods, they now find themselves wishing Biden was not the president.

Experts agree that in addition to creating more jobs, Buffalo Guy would have restored a sense of grace and dignity back to the White House.

Ron DeSantis’s (R) administration hit back against criticisms lodged by White House press secretary Jen Psaki after she suggested that DeSantis has not done enough to promote vaccines for the Chinese coronavirus — as he has championed freedom of choice as well as lifesaving treatment.
During Thursday’s press conference, Psaki defended the Biden administration’s approach to get the pandemic under control "through the lens of equity" and dismissed criticisms from the Florida governor.
"I’d say it’s pretty rich coming from Gov. DeSantis given he’s somebody who’s been advocating, not exactly advocating for people in his state to get vaccinated," she said, adding:

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Australian counterpart Scott Morrison on Thursday signed a treaty to facilitate joint exercises, as they vowed in a virtual meeting to strengthen security cooperation amid China's growing military influence in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) will facilitate faster deployment of Japanese Self-Defense Forces and Australian Defense Force personnel and ease restrictions on the transportation of weapons and supplies for joint training and disaster relief operations.
"This is a landmark agreement that will bring Japan-Australia security cooperation to a new level," said Kishida in signing the agreement.
Morrison said the pact will enable the two countries to cooperate at a high level.
Australia is the second country with which Japan has concluded such an accord after the United States.
Japan will also seek to reach such a pact with Britain, with which Japan launched negotiations in October, and France as the two countries have been increasing defense cooperation with Tokyo in response to an increasingly assertive China.
Japan and Australia agreed to start talks on the RAA in 2014 and reached a broad agreement in November 2020, but Japan's death penalty system had been an obstacle to concluding the deal.

TIRANA, Jan 6 (Reuters) - The United States Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) will open a forward-based headquarters in Albania on a rotational basis, Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Thursday.
SOCEUR, based in Stuttgart, Germany, said on its website that the base in Albania would provide increased coordination with Albanian allies, important access to transportation hubs in the Balkans and greater logistical flexibility.
"This is a fantastic news ... it is an expression of a very high credibility and a very close cooperation," Rama said in a video message in which he read out the SOCEUR announcement.
Albania became a member of the NATO military alliance in 2009.
Highly trained and equipped with advanced communications equipment and weapons, special forces are often used in counterterrorism or reconnaissance operations. They can infiltrate enemy lines to tie down much larger numbers of opposition troops.
It was not clear what the role of these U.S. forces in Albania would be.
SOCEUR said its role is to "rapidly respond to emerging threats and if necessary, defeat aggression" together with its allies.
In the decade after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks U.S. special forces numbers more than doubled, their budget tripled and their deployments quadrupled.
The United States already has 600 troops based in Serbia's former province of Kosovo to maintain the fragile peace more than two decades after the end of the Kosovo War in 1999.

Never had a president been either impeached twice or tried in the Senate as a private citizen. Who did both?
The left further broke prior precedent by impeaching Trump without a special counsel's report, formal hearings, witnesses, and cross-examinations.

You would think the Jan. 6 march on the Capitol would be the last place to find John Earle Sullivan, yet the 27-year-old was seen continuously spurring on violence that day by pushing the crowd forward. He was just feet away from veteran Ashli Babbitt when she was shot dead by a Capitol Police officer outside the House chamber, court records show, and he even sold video he shot of the incident for $90,000.
But unlike some 80 other individuals who have been imprisoned for up to 300 days for storming the Capitol, Sullivan has been allowed to go home to Utah while awaiting a trial date on eight criminal counts. One of the protesters who has been in jail the longest, Kenneth Harrelson, is accused of pushing into the Capitol behind a mob. He stayed inside 18 minutes, walking around and taking photographs, and has not been accused of any violence in court documents reviewed by the Washington Examiner.
In contrast, Sullivan carried a knife into the Capitol and offered to use it, broke a window, and ordered officers to leave their posts where he would soon film Babbitt getting shot.
"He was head of a group Insurgence USA, which sounds like antifa and Black Lives Matter," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene told the Washington Examiner.

This institutional caving-in to bogus theories of racial inequity and victimhood is mind-blowing and also poses a great danger to Democrats because these causes are so far left of where even their voters are, much less where everyday Americans are.
Some liberal strategists worry about unintended political consequences from this surge in virtue signaling.

Swalwell has also repeatedly called for a domestic travel vaccine mandate. Florida has stood against any vaccine mandate and gone as far as allowing residents to fine employers who impose the shot.

[JUSTTHENEWS] Voting rules legislation that Democrats are moving forward in the 50-50 Senate would prohibit states from imposing an identification requirement in order to obtain an absentee ballot ahead of an election.
Under the Freedom to Vote Act, a state "may not require an individual to submit any form of identifying document as a condition of obtaining or casting an absentee ballot."
The bill permits a state to require certain information under section 303(a)(5)(A) of the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (52 U.S.C. 21083) for voter registration, but a state "may not deny a voter a ballot or the opportunity to cast it on the grounds that the voter does not possess a current and valid driver's license number or a social security number."
Instead, states may require the "signature of the individual or similar affirmation as a condition of obtaining or casting an absentee ballot."
Democrats argue that passage of this bill as well as the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2021 will help protect voting rights and increase access to the ballot box.
Phillip Kline, former Kansas attorney general, disagrees with those provisions of the Freedom to Vote Act that would create one-size-fits-all federal rules for absentee and mail-in ballots.
Not requiring ID or Social Security numbers to obtain mail-in ballots could lead to illegal ballot harvesting, Kline argued.
"There are commonsense protections that are placed on an absentee ballot because you do not have trained election officials to make sure that the voter is not misled or coerced or intimidated to vote a certain way and to make sure it was the actual voter who completed the ballot," he said. He noted that the peacekeepers were not on private property or taking photos, "contrary to some subsequent media disinformation."
Instead, they were en route to meet Lebanese Armed Forces members for a "routine patrol," he said.
"The denial of UNIFIL's freedom of movement and any aggression against those serving the cause of peace is unacceptable," said Dujarric, before calling on the Lebanese government to "investigate quickly and thoroughly, and prosecute all those responsible for these crimes."
UNIFIL -- comprised of about 13,000 U.N. peacekeepers -- has operated in southern Lebanon since 1978, and is responsible for monitoring the ceasefire along the border with Israel.

[SHAFAQ] Five members of the same family were reportedly killed in an attack that targeted the residence of a fighter in al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces-PMF) in the south of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
A source told Shafaq News Agency that four unidentified armed persons raided the residence of a PMF member in al-A'lam neighborhood and sprayed the entire family with bullets.
The attack resulted in injuring the fighter, and Killing his wife and three children.
It is worth noting that Brigade 45 of the PMF consists of the Iraqi Hezbollah brigades fighters, close to Iran.
The incident cast a striking resemblance to the incident that took place in the district of Jableh (Babel) in which twenty members of the same family were killed
Describing it as a "cowardly" attack, Hashd said in a statement that the unidentified button men targeted the house of its member, Ahmed Abdul-Muttalib, in al-Malef area, west of Baghdad.
"The button men opened fire on family members who were inside the house, killing five of them and seriously injuring the [PMF] member. He was transferred to a hospital in the capital city of Baghdad while the bodies of the deaders were transferred to the forensic," it added.

[IsraelTimes] Military says gunnies opened fire on the soldiers, none of whom were maimed; assailant identified as a member of Fatah terror group
Israeli troops rubbed out a Paleostinian gunman during an exchange of fire in the northern West Bank city of Nablus in the predawn hours of Thursday morning, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The soldiers were sent into the Balata refugee camp in the city to arrest a wanted man and came under fire, according to the military.
The troops returned fire, killing one of the button men, the IDF said.
The IDF said the troops completed the raid and arrested the suspect.
The gunman was identified by Paleostinian security sources as 22-year-old Bakeer Hashash. Photographs of Hashash that were shared on Paleostinian social media showed him holding an M-16 assault rifle.
Later on Thursday he was claimed as a member by the Fatah terror group. Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, also issued a public condemnation of Israel for killing him, referring to Hashash as a "hero martyr."

[An Nahar] Dozens of protesters were killed in Kazakhstan in attacks on government buildings and at least a dozen coppers died, including one who was found beheaded, authorities said Thursday.
There were attempts to storm buildings overnight in the country's largest city, Almaty, and "dozens of attackers were liquidated," police spokeswoman Saltanat Azirbek said. She spoke on state news channel Khabar-24. The reported attempts to storm the buildings came after widespread unrest in the city on Wednesday, including seizure of the mayor's building, which was set on fire.
State news channel Khabar-24 cited the city commandant's office as saying Thursday that another 353 law enforcement officers were maimed in addition to the 12 killed.
Kazakhstan is experiencing the worst street protests the country has seen since gaining independence three decades ago.
A Russia-led military alliance, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, said early Thursday that it would send peacekeeper troops to Kazakhstan at the request of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Kazakhstan has been rocked by intensifying protests that began on Sunday over a sharp rise in prices for liquefied petroleum gas fuel. The protests began in the country's west but spread to Almaty and the capital Nur-Sultan.
On Wednesday, Tokayev vowed to take harsh measures to quell the unrest and declared a two-week state of emergency for the whole country, expanding one that had been announced for both the capital of Nur-Sultan and the largest city of Almaty that imposed an overnight curfew and restricted movement into and around the urban areas. The government resigned in response over the unrest.
Although the protests began over a near-doubling of prices for a type of liquefied petroleum gas that is widely used as vehicle fuel, their size and rapid spread suggested they reflect wider discontent in the country that has been under the rule of the same party since gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
Tokayev claimed the unrest was led by "terrorist bands" that had received help from unspecified other countries.
Kazakhstan, the ninth-largest country in the world, borders Russia to the north and China to the east and has extensive oil reserves that make it strategically and economically important. Despite those reserves and mineral wealth, discontent over poor living conditions is strong in some parts of the country. Many Kazakhs also chafe at the dominance of the ruling party, which holds more than 80% of the seats in parliament.
Many of the demonstrators who converged on the mayoral office Wednesday carried clubs and shields, according to earlier reports in Kazakh media. Tass later said the building was engulfed in flames.
The protests appear to have no identifiable leader or demands. Many of the demonstrators shouted "old man go," an apparent reference to Nursultan Nazarbayev ...served as the President of Kazakhstan since the Fall of the Soviet Union and the nation's independence in 1991. Contrary to commonly held belief, there is a difference between Kazakhs and Cossacks: Kazakhs have mustaches. Cossacks wear those great big hats. Or maybe it's the other way around... , the country's first president who continued to wield enormous influence after his 2019 resignation. Nazarbayev dominated Kazakhstan's politics and his rule was marked by a moderate cult of personality. Critics say he effectively instituted a clan system in government.
After the demonstrations spread to Nur-Sultan and Almaty, the government announced its resignation, but Tokayev said the ministers would stay in their roles until a new Cabinet is formed, making it uncertain whether the resignations will have significant impact.
At the start of the year, prices for the gas called LPG roughly doubled as the government moved away from price controls as part of efforts to move to a market economy.
1. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the main administrative buildings in the center of Alma-Ata were taken under control during the battles with the pogromists.
Nevertheless, it is too early to talk about full control over the city, even after lunch there was organized armed resistance, which is not surprising, given the fact that after the defeat and looting of weapons stores and weapons in state institutions, thousands of small arms fell into the hands of the thugs.

Read the scenario of Tiananmen and Andijan, where the political leadership also gave the security forces complete freedom to restore order. By their actions on January 4-6, the rioters in Alma-Ata themselves did everything to make their shooting perceived as a purely positive phenomenon.
4. Contrary to the stuffing that Alexei Venediktov also spread, the CSTO forces are still deploying in Kazakhstan and are not taking part in any suppression of protests, especially since such a task is not even set for them. The protests are crushed by the security forces of Kazakhstan, who are being pulled to the centers of the rebellion. The forces of the CSTO made it possible to release reliable people to strengthen the cleansing units.
5. In a number of cities, protesters say that they are not with the rioters in Alma-Ata, and in general they have already achieved their basic demands: they drove Nazarbayev out and lowered gas prices.
With these protesters, the authorities, I think, may well conduct a reasonable dialogue. The conversation with the characters from Alma-Ata will be short. The authorities also called on ordinary citizens who participated in the protests to go home, promising that there would be no prosecution for simply participating in the rallies. Questions will only be for the pogromists.
6. Kyrgyzstan today could not make a decision on the introduction of troops into Kazakhstan. We were unable to collect a quorum. They promise to accept it tomorrow, with a separate proviso that the Kyrgyz will not participate in suppressing the riots. Japarov said this several times for the deputies and the public. Russia, Belarus. Armenia, Tajikistan. All have already formalized the implementation of measures for the introduction of troops.
7. Erdogan said that he expects the soonest formation of the new government of Kazakhstan and the normalization of the situation in the country. Worried about Turkish business. China also called for an early end to the crisis and the restoration of stability. It is worth noting that all phrases about stability are associated exclusively with Tokayev. Not a word about Nazarbayev, as if he no longer exists.

Russian Duma wants to leave the CSTO forces in Kazakhstan to protect Russians
[REGNUM] The CSTO forces need to be stationed in Kazakhstan on a permanent basis, including to protect the Russian population. As a REGNUM correspondent reports on January 6, this was stated by the leader of the SRZP, State Duma deputy Sergei Mironov .
"The forces of the CSTO, which are based on Russian units, can become the basis for the formation in Kazakhstan of a system of countering extremism for years to come. One of the most important tasks of this system should be the protection of the Russian-speaking population. In this regard, it is advisable to consider the issue of the presence of the CSTO military in the republic on a permanent basis, " Mironov said.
However, the parliamentarian continued, military units alone cannot solve the security problem in Kazakhstan.

's Office of Police Accountability (OPA) shows officers exchanged fake radio transmissions about a nonexistent group of right-wing snuffies at a crucial moment during 2020 racial justice protests.
Fake radio chatter on June 8, 2020 about members of the Proud Boys marching around downtown Seattle, some possibly carrying guns, and then heading to confront protesters on Capitol Hill was an improper "ruse," or dishonest ploy, that exacerbated a volatile situation, according to OPA's report.
A lieutenant with the Seattle Police Operations Center told OPA the radio communications may have been made to test "the response of individuals who the department believed was monitoring its communication channels."
The Proud Boys is a far-right hard boy group with a reputation for street violence.
June 8, 2020, was the day the Seattle Police Department abandoned the East Precinct in the Capitol Hill neighborhood following protests sparked by the death of St. George Floyd ...the patron saint of Minneapolis, a sterling example for our children and indeed for us all. Protesters set up camp around the East Precinct and called it the "Capitol Hill Organized Protest," better known as CHOP. The CHOP covered six city blocks and lasted until July 1, 2020, when police cleared the area and eventually re-entered the precinct.
The officers that engaged in the misinformation effort did so in "compliance with orders from the chain of command," according to the report. That chain of command involved an assistant chief, since retired from the department, who approved, ordered and led the effort, according to the report. The OPA states that the assistant chief should bear the responsibility for what occurred.
It is further alleged that another police department employee "improperly supervised the ruse." That employee, retired from the department when he was interviewed by OPA, said he was assigned to participate and organize some officers.
Four other employees participated.
OPA found that the assistant chief abused the discretion afforded to him by: approving and overseeing a misinformation effort without issuing proper guidelines; did not ensure the effort was properly supervised, with the involved officers saying they had not engaged in this type of effort previously; and did not properly document the effort.
Additionally, OPA found that while there was an interest in ensuring police communications were not being monitored, there is no evidence that there was a threat to officer or public safety.

Wednesday's launch, the North's first known weapons test in about two months, indicates the country will press ahead with plans to modernize its nuclear and missile arsenals rather than return to disarmament talks anytime soon.
The official Korean Central News Agency said the Central Committee of the ruling Workers' Party expressed "great satisfaction" at the results of the missile test, which was observed by leading weapons officials.
Hypersonic weapons, which fly at speeds in excess of Mach 5, or five times the speed of sound, could pose crucial challenges to missile defense systems because of their speed and maneuverability. It's unclear whether and how soon North Korea could manufacture such a high-tech missile, but it was among a wish-list of sophisticated military assets that Kim disclosed early last year, along with a multi-warhead missile, spy satellites, solid-fueled long-range missiles and underwater-launched nuclear missiles.
Wednesday's test was the second of its kind since North Korea first launched a hypersonic missile last September.
"The successive successes in the test launches in the hypersonic missile sector have strategic significance in that they hasten a task for modernizing strategic armed force of the state," a KCNA dispatch said.
The word "strategic" implies the missile is being developed to deliver nuclear weapons.
KCNA said the missile made a 120-kilometer-long (75 mile) lateral movement before hitting a target 700 kilometers (435 miles) away. It said the test reconfirmed the flight control and stability of the missile and verified its fuel capsule under the winter weather conditions.
While North Korea appears to have made progress in the development of a hypersonic missile, it still needs more test flights to determine whether it meets its tactical objectives or how advanced a hypersonic weapon it could develop, said Lee Choon Geun, an expert and honorary research fellow at South Korea's Science and Technology Policy Institute.
A photo of the launch shows that the upper parts of the missiles launched in September and this week have different shapes. Lee said this suggests that North Korea is testing two versions of warheads for a missile still under development or it is actually developing two different types of hypersonic missiles.
He said the missile's reported lateral movement would provide the weapon with a greater maneuverability to evade enemy missile defense systems.

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector have nabbed two gang members and a migrant with a child sex crime conviction coming across the border as part of separate groups of migrants entering the U.S.
On Wednesday, agents arrested a Salvadoran national and registered sex offender who had been arrested in Texas in 2018 for indecency with a child by sexual conduct. He was convicted but not deported, and instead was sentenced to five years probation.
Just a year later he was arrested in Houston for stalking and child abuse, and this time was deported. He also has an outstanding warrant. The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) release says that the group he was traveling in included a 7-year-old girl traveling with her mother.
On Tuesday, agents in La Joya encountered a group of six migrants trying to avoid them. During processing, they discovered one woman was an 18th Street gang member with multiple removals – including as recently as August.
Then on Wednesday, a Salvadoran MS-13 gang member was arrested in a group of three in McAllen. He also has been deported before.
Agents have nabbed a number of sex offenders in the holiday period. Officials announced this week they arrested an Ecuadorian national with previous convictions for aggravated sodomy, child molestation and rape from Atlanta, Georgia. He had served 12 years for the convictions.
Tucson Sector Chief Border Patrol Agent John Modlin announced this week that agents had arrested a Mexican citizen who is also a registered sex offender previously convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Illinois.
In Fiscal Year 2021, there were 488 convicted sexual offenders among migrants coming across the border, up dramatically from 156 in FY2020 and 58 in FY2019. So far in FY2022, which began in October, there have been at least 64 sex-related convicted criminals among migrants.
Meanwhile, there have been 110 gang members apprehended at the border so far in FY2022. In FY2021, there were 348 gang members apprehended, down slightly from the 363 encountered in FY2020 and significantly from 976 in FY2019 – which has led some Republicans to fear they are sneaking past an overwhelmed Border Patrol.

While Cruz isn't an establishment cuck, I still think he believes that overall it is a net positive force and works to support the parts he believes in.
This was just signaling to what he thinks is the libertarians and pro-larger government of the GOP to set up his run for 2024.
I doubt he is aware of how much towards small government and anti-establishment the GOP and libertarians have shifted towards and now is covered in the backblast of his very ignorant remarks. This one statement has pretty much doomed any 2024 hopes he had, especially if Trump and/or DeSantis are running and has put a very large hole in his re-election prospects too.

Grisham, who was also chief of staff to former first lady Melania Trump, declined to reveal who will be joining her in the efforts, but said there would be "about 15" of her former colleagues, including some who worked inside the White House. A few of the officials had "informal chats," did outreach to others, and conducted "some Zooms, some conference calls," culminating in the partially in-person formal meeting next week, according to Grisham.
Several people involved in the effort who spoke to CNN said the group currently includes between 15 to 20 individuals who served in the Trump administration, but have since soured on the former President, and who believe his indisputable control of the Republican Party is negatively impacting the country.

She said that the group of former Trump officials will discuss "what are the most effective tactics in order to carry that message," adding that she's "really hoping for a good fight in 2022."
The group is also expected to include certain individuals who "perhaps have not been as overtly public about their criticism (of Trump) to date," according to a person familiar with the group, who did not wish to reveal the identities of those participants at this time.
In an interview with CNN, Troye said there are "many" ex-Trump officials "who remain very concerned and want to come together to figure out how we are going to counter Trump and Trumpism going into this next election and the election after that."
Grisham met Wednesday on Capitol Hill with the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection. On January 6, she was Melania Trump's chief of staff at the time, but resigned from her role that day, effectively immediately, as a result of the insurrection, becoming one of the first Trump officials to do so.

Tokayev is sure that the riot in the country was organized by international terrorists. According to the President of Kazakhstan, an airport, five aircraft, including foreign ones, have been seized in Almaty. The city was destroyed and vandalized, "residents were victims of terrorist attacks."

[FoxNews] A homeless, convicted sexual predator, arrested in Austin, Texas, for felony sexual assault of a child had his bond set at $50,000 by a magistrate judge in late December, despite a previous judge having earlier recommended a $1,000,000 bond.
"It’s just unconscionable that a judge that took an oath to keep the community safe, to protect children, would do something that would take a known career criminal and violent predator and put him back out in the street," Austin Police Department Senior Officer Justin Berry told Fox News. "It’s just appalling."
The magistrate said she followed the proper procedures when considering the bond.
Austin Police dispatched to a Dec. 27 criminal trespass call where they reported witnessing Ronald Martin Jr., a convicted sex offender, "performing oral sex on what appeared to be a young juvenile male," an affidavit reviewed by Fox News stated.
Police booked Martin on Dec. 28 into the Travis County jail on an open warrant for failure to register as a sex offender while they continued to investigate the new allegation. Martin, who is listed as a lifetime high-risk sexual offender by the Texas Department of Public Safety, has previous convictions for multiple child sex crime convictions, including at least one with a 7-year boy, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Police later identified the juvenile in the alleged December assault as a 14-year-old from Kentucky. He said he met Martin on Instagram, where he went by the aliases of "Jaden" and "Kevin," according to an interview with police.
Following interviews with Martin and the boy, Austin municipal court Judge Patrick McNelis signed a warrant for Martin’s arrest on Dec. 29 for second-degree felony sexual assault of a child. McNelis also signed a recommended bond of $1 million citing, in part, that "the defendant is currently in custody for failure to register as a sex offender."
The next day, Martin appeared for a bond hearing before Judge Christyne Harris Schultz. She signed off on a $50,000 surety bond for Martin, which meant he could walk free if he posted just 10% of the bond amount, or $5,000.
"As a judge, I follow the code of criminal procedure, in every case," Harris Schultz told Fox News in a phone call. "And in determining the amount and the conditions of bail, [I] consider the financial resources and their ability to make bail, and the safety of the community and the alleged victim as well."
Low bail set by judges for sexual offenders like Martin leaves Austin officers with "a sense of hopelessness," Berry, who is running as a Republican for a seat in the Texas state legislature, added.
Austin has a "culture" issue when it comes to policing and crime, he said. He highlighted that city judges are appointed by the city council, which he believes is taking a relaxed approach to crime.
In 2020, the Austin City Council voted to cut police funding by up to $150 million.
"The culture has really got to change," Berry, who clarified that he is not the department's spokesman, told Fox News. "I think [the] city of Austin, our elected officials, really got to stop meddling" and stop giving "woke dictations to our magistrates."
Martin remains in jail on a $50,000 bond for the sexual assault charge and $10,000 for his alleged failure to register as a sex offender. His next court hearing on the assault charge is scheduled for Jan. 20.

Now that you mention it if Soros wanted to be clever he could buy a bunch of bail bonds places and just never make some criminals pay back. It would take a curious journalist to make the connection and there are very very few of those left.

ruprecht, IIRC, the way that bail bondsmen work is that you pay them a percentage of the bail (10%?), and they pay the court. If you show up for court (which is what bail is supposed to do), the bondsmen get their money back, but you don't. If you don't show up, the bondsmen are out of money,but they can pursue you to get you. Plus the court will issue a bench warrant for your arrest.
Fortunately, I've never been arrested, so this is all stuff I've picked up from reading.

When DeGregorio attempted to report the wrongdoing, he claimed, he was threatened with investigations and a firing.
DeGregorio resigned from his position at the company in June 2020, shortly after he filed a complaint alleging that Spaceport America Executive Director Daniel Hicks violated several state laws, which led to "possible waste and abuse of taxpayer funds." In the lawsuit, DeGregorio adds that Hicks attempted to break into his email account and accessed emails DeGregorio sent to Keyes about Hicks’ involvement in alleged procurement fraud.
After tracking software was placed on DeGregorio’s tech devices, he claims, he resigned.
A spokeswoman for Spaceport America declined the Daily Caller’s request for comment, citing an ongoing investigation.

The city is a Dem stronghold, so he'll probably be reelected... and incoming interim Police Chief Amelia Huffman rolled out a new crime-fighting plan Wednesday that calls for hiring dozens of coppers, expanding partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and beefing up units focused on investigating violent mostly peaceful robberies and carjackings.At a City Hall news conference, Frey said the department plans to hire five recruit classes to help close a staffing gap created by the departures of hundreds of officers since the murder of St. George Floyd ...the patron saint of Minneapolis, a sterling example for our children and indeed for us all. St. George was martyed by the Devil's agents in blue while standing on a street corner preaching tolerance and racial justice or something like that... in the spring of 2020. For now, the mayor said, the department was directing its resources to areas that need it most, including assigning officers to neighborhoods where stolen vehicles are frequently abandoned.
"It's clear that violent mostly peaceful crime and the fear of violent mostly peaceful crime is hurting our city," Huffman said. "In fact, it's hurting our entire metro area."
Frey's comments came two months after a Minneapolis election in which voters rejected a ballot measure that would have replaced the Police Department with an agency that would take more of a public health approach to crime prevention.
Since the start of 2020, the department has lost roughly 300 officers, creating significant staffing shortages. Whether the department should return to its size in early 2020, when it had about 888 officers, is sure to be hotly debated in the coming months. The Minneapolis charter sets a minimum requirement for staffing based on population levels, abut 715 total employees.
Though the Nov. 2 ballot measure was defeated, proponents argued that the campaign around Question 2, as the proposal was called, changed the conversation around policing. More people, they argued, were open to consider alternative strategies for keeping communities safe beyond traditional law enforcement.
David Bicking of the advocacy group Communities United Against Policy Brutality said any move to hire more officers should be based on "best practices and research nationwide" and not be a "knee-jerk" reaction to rising crime.
A study examining patrol officers' workloads has been delayed, Bicking said, adding that its findings would have been helpful months ago when city officials were negotiating the budget.

In this connection Case under FIR No 08/2021 of Saddar PS under sections 7/25 of the arms act and sections 18.23 of UAP Act has been registered in PS Saddar.
Police further said that during the questioning, "the arrested Lions of Islam disclosed that they were operating in Srinagar City on the direction of one person namely Asif Maqbool Dar of MIG Colony Bemina at present Dhamam Saudi Arabia and Sajjad Gul of HMT Parimpora, at present Pakistain".
"Both the handlers from Saudi Arabia and Pakistain were providing weapons and money through a network of OGWs being identified," police said adding "This module has also done recce of security installations like NIA office, Delhi Police Headquarters etc. and shared same with handlers in Pakistain".
"As per the investigation the targets in city for killings were also selected and conveyed to them by Dr Asif and Sajad Gul. Suhail Qadar Khandy was working in Saudi Arabia with Dr Asif Dar and in August 2021 on the direction of Dr Asif he came back and started working as an operative of TRF/MGH/for coordinating the collection of Arms/Ammunition, money and terror attacks in Srinagar".

The former lead FBI agent credited with foiling the plot, Richard Trask, was arrested on a domestic violence charge after allegedly smashing his wife's head into a desk after leaving a swinger sex party and was later fired.
A second FBI agent, Henrik Impola, also won't be testifying after he was accused of perjury in a separate case, Buzzfeed News reported.
Buzzfeed reported that Jayson Chambers, another agent, used the Whitmer plot to promote his side security consulting firm called Exeintel.
On Christmas Day, defense attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the conspiracy charge levied against five men accused of plotting to kidnap Whitmer. They requested 258 out-of-court statements be admitted into evidence, claiming the communication shows that "government agents and informants concocted, hatched, and pushed this 'kidnapping plan' from the beginning."
"Essentially, the evidence here demonstrates egregious overreaching by the government's agents, and by the informants those agents handled," the filing says. "The key to the government's plan was to turn general discontent with Governor Whitmer's COVID-19 restrictions into a crime that could be prosecuted."

"Fix Our Senate may present itself as a standalone, grassroots activist group, but it’s actually a front for the Sixteen Thirty Fund, itself part of a $1.7 billion left-wing ’dark- money pop-up’ empire run by the shadowy consulting firm Arabella Advisors," said Capital Research Center (CRC) senior investigative researcher Hayden Ludwig.
"We call these fronts ’pop-ups’ because they’re websites which pop into existence, run attack campaigns, and disappear in an instant and almost never reveal their connection to Arabella or its nonprofits," Ludwig told The Epoch Times on Jan. 4.
The CRC is a conservative nonpartisan foundation that specializes in tracking trends among the most influential charities, nonprofits, and special-interest groups affecting the public policy process in the nation’s capital.
"We study unions, environmentalist groups, and a wide variety of nonprofit and activist organizations. We also keep an eye on crony capitalists who seek to profit by taking advantage of government regulations and by getting their hands on taxpayers’ money," CRC says of its purpose on its website.
Schumer promised earlier this week to seek a vote by Jan. 17 on abolishing or reforming the filibuster—the Senate’s "cloture" rule that requires 60 votes to end debate and vote on a proposal—if Senate Republicans block consideration of two election reform packages that are top priorities of the Democrats’ progressive, or far-left, faction.
Republicans argue the reforms—the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act—severely limit or eliminate entirely the use of photo IDs and related ballot security measures, and require that all proposed changes to state election laws have prior Department of Justice (DOJ) approval.

Bandits have killed many people in Anka and Bukkuyum local government areas of Zamfara State.
The villages attacked are Tungar Geza, Rafin Gero, Kurfar Danya, Kewaye and Tungar Na More.
A source, who spoke to VOA Hausa, said the attacks started from Barikin Daji in what was described as a fight between the bandidos and Yan Sakai (the unofficial vigilante members).
"They had been fighting since yesterday (Tuesday night). What scared us was how they were able to displace Kurfar Danya. You know it was said that Kurfar Danya was impenetrable, but I swear to God, they (banidts) have burnt down the whole village.
"They moved to Tungar Na More and to Rafin Gero. As I speak to you now, some houses are still on fire in Rafin Gero. Tungar Isa and Barayar Zaki are also some of the villages that were burnt down," he said.
While he could not confirm the number of those killed, the source said several people who made it to Anka town could not find their family members.
Deadly attacks have raged across Zamfara State where bandidos have thrived.
Farming and herding communities in the state have long been terrorised by gangs, who raid villages, stealing cattle and kidnap residents for ransom.
In 2019, the state government entered a peace agreement with the button men.

All that money attracted the usual sort of grifting politician, and it's well on its way to chewing off the hand that feeds it... Public Schools this summer and offered to end an encampment outside Broadview-Thompson K-12, the school district agreed.
The district was under pressure from people in the surrounding Bitter Lake neighborhood to remove the 60-plus-person encampment, and had argued with the city of Seattle for much of the past year about whose responsibility it was and how it should be done.
The school district didn’t devote much money to the effort, and the offer from Anything Helps was appealing because of its price tag: The district thought it would only be paying the costs associated with getting people inside. The group’s leader, Mike Mathias, who used to be homeless himself, and his volunteer team were all unpaid. The district ultimately reimbursed him for more than $20,000 for those costs.
The district did not run a background check or confirm Mathias’ employment history, according to a spokesperson for Seattle Public Schools. Neither did the King County Regional Homelessness Authority, which began working with Mathias on getting housing vouchers to more than a dozen of the homeless people.
If these agencies had, they might have reconsidered putting Mathias and Anything Helps in charge. It was a young agency, run entirely by volunteers and headed by someone who was the subject of protection orders filed by two women who alleged stalking and harassment.

[PJMEDIA] Florida Republicans outnumber registered Democrats for the first time in the state’s history, as Blue State COVID refugees tick the Big R on their voter registrations.
Twitter user TimDCpolitico took Florida’s voter rolls from March 31 of 2020 and compared them to the latest figures. The results, he says, are "jaw-dropping," and I can’t think of a better way to describe them.
Out of over 14 million registered voters, last year Democrats held the edge with 37.38% of registrations compared to the GOP’s 35.28%. (The remaining four million or so — around 26% — were independents or members of minor parties.)
Democrats held a two-point advantage, but higher Republican turnout has made the state safely red in the last two presidential elections.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not release its annual report in 2021, a departure from standard agency practice since at least 2011. In each of the last nine years, ICE released the report in the final weeks of the calendar year, most recently on Dec. 23, 2020 during the Trump administration.
It is unclear whether ICE has completed the report, which provides a lengthy summary of the agency’s enforcement and removal operations, as well as immigration-related security threats. A spokeswoman for the immigration agency told the Washington Free Beacon a release date for the report has not been determined.
The absence of the 2021 annual report has prompted outrage on Capitol Hill. Sen. Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) questioned the motives behind the White House's secrecy on the topic of immigration.
"During record-breaking levels of illegal immigration, DHS and ICE have taken steps to dismantle interior enforcement operations that keep our communities safe from criminal aliens," Hawley told the Free Beacon. "I’ve been calling for transparency into these radical policy changes for months. If ICE is intentionally hiding their annual report from the public, then it’s safe to assume it doesn’t show any improvement; it shows failure."
The administration's decision not to release the ICE report marks the latest example of Biden's failure to live up to transparency standards set by both its Democratic and Republican predecessors. The Free Beacon in November reported that the White House violated a congressional statute with its failure to release its report on the number of illegal immigrants colonists in the United States.
