We've been listening to the impeachment nattering speeches all day. Nancy Pelosi wore black, to emphasize how solemn the occasion is. Everybody got their fifteen seconds of fame, some as long as three dreary minutes. There weren't lots of actual facts presented, but by golly, the Dems are sure he's guilty guilty guilty of something, even if the president of Ukraine sez her's not. (What the hell does he know about it, after all?) The professional protesters are out on the streets, where they usually are, while the Trump supporters are at work, supporting their families, except for the ones lining up in seventeen degree weather in balmy Battle Creek, Michigan to hear him.
The phrase we keep hearing over and over is "abuse of power." Asking the president of Ukraine to look into monkey business by what's recently become known as The Biden Crime Family is an abuse of power. Not passing on attorney client conversations between Trump and his lawyers, or confidential executive discussions is abuse of power.
We haven't heard a word about Congressional abuse of power. Sure, we've heard it described, but no one's put a name on it. Rep. Rashida Tlaib wants everyone to come together, not as Publicans or Sinners Democrats, but as Merkins to "Impeach the Motherfxcker!"
"Obstruction of Congress?" Obviously it's a term of art, beyond the ability of my limited three-digit IQ to comprehend. I've heard the term "Obstruction of Justice," but I can't recall, from before the time I started growing whiskers (which have now turned white) hearing the term "Obstruction of a Court." Nor have I ever heard the phrase "Obstruction of the Presidency." I think one applies better than the other in this case.
But what the hell do I know? I'm just an old crank. All I can do is vote, and after I'm dead I'll just change parties anyway.

"Obstruction of Congress?"
On behalf of a goodly portion of America, I gotta say obstruction of Congress sounds like a damn fine thing.

This whole process is beneath contempt. There's nothing left to discuss with these barking mad hatters.
I don't know if there was a last straw - the first straw was the last straw for me and everyone who knows anything about Russia-- but surely the ultimate absurdity in this whole Shitshow was learning that these idiots didn't even know that their sisters at Langley had enlisted Carter page as OUR OWN ASSET. They were wiretapping THEIR OWN GUY.
There's nothing worth debating at this point. These people are as lucid and cogent as the Black Hebrew Israelites.

Have you ever gone to a public restroom and it is filthy, smells bad and is disgusting. The place reeks, permeates and contaminates surrounding areas outside the public restroom. These things need to be routinely and thoroughly cleaned out and disinfected as they accumulate germs and are a public hazard.

What about the perps social network, contacts in Mexico, criminal associates ?

At least 11 Taliban were killed in attack on a joint army-police security checkpoint in Ghazni province on Tuesday night, said Mohammad Khalid Wardak, the provincial police chief.
The attack took place around 7:30pm local time after a group of Taliban attacked the checkpoint in Shahbaz area on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, said Wardak.
"The Taliban escaped the area after they suffered casualties and air support was provided," according to Wardak.
Mirwais Akrami, the police commander of the highway, was also injured in the festivities with the Taliban, Wardak confirmed.
"A soldier was killed in the attack, and police commander Mirwais and another policeman were maimed in the festivities," he added.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the festivities.

[ALMASDARNEWS] A member of the Military Information Division, al-Mundhir al-Khartoush, affiliated with the Libyan National Army (LNA), announced that their forces are advancing in several areas around Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... after a fierce battle with the Ottoman Turkish-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) troops.
According to reports, the 73rd Infantry Brigade scored a new advance in Tripoli’s outskirts, capturing a number of points from the GNA forces.
In particular, the 73rd Brigade was able to capture new points at the Salaheddine axis, which has been the scene of some of the most intense festivities around Tripoli.
A spokesperson from the Military Information Division said the GNA forces attempted to retake some of the points they lost over the last few hours; however, they have been unsuccessful thus far.
The Libyan National Army has been involved in a fierce battle with the GNA forces since the weekend, when Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all... announced the start of the "final battle" to capture the capital.
To counter Haftar’s aggressiveness, the Tripoli-based government has reached a new security agreement with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... to protect the last areas under their control in northern Libya.
The Benghazi-based government has heavily criticized this agreement and vowed to confront the Ottoman Turkish aggression if need be.

"a police front man said on Wednesday."
Why the use of the term Front Man? It appears to me the Indonesian Police, are doing A Good Thing By your use of that phrase (which has a negative connotation)you imply they are Not doing the best they can. Could the reason be Conservative PC, where we are not supposed to say anything positive about Muslims/Islam?

Fred's site uses a cute system to substitute words, like "Front man" for "spokesman". I could also substitute "you" with" wadded-panty lib apologist for muzzies".
See? It works fine

This issue has come up before in different contexts, like "maimed" for "wounded". I believe the text substitution got started back when copyright trolls were trying to extort websites. Righthaven was one of them that Rantburg has particular problems with, if memory serves.
[IsraelTimes] A mob in Leb attacked the office of a Sunni Moslem religious leader in the northern city of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , smashing in windows early today, reports say.
The military says a mob of men on cycle of violences gathered outside the home of Sunni Mufti Sheik Malek al-Shaar and rioted, "used profanity" and smashed property.
The mob then moved to the square and threw fire bombs at the Christmas tree, setting it on fire.
The military says it arrested four men and confiscated their cycle of violences.
The violence indicates that the tensions that recently gripped the Lebanese capital, Beirut, over an online video deemed offensive to the country’s Shiites are spreading to Tripoli, the country’s second-largest city.
On Tuesday, anger boiled over in Beirut after the offensive video was widely circulated online, showing a Sunni resident of Tripoli railing against the leaders of the country’s two main Shiite groups, Hezbollah and Amal, and religious Shiite figures and using expletives.
The daily An-Nahar says the assailants in Tripoli were angered because the Sunni mufti, al-Shaar, had called the powerful Shiite parliament speaker and head of Amal, Nabih Knobby Berri ...Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians... , to apologize for the video.

(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) has seized new ground in the eastern region of Syria after launching a powerful attack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops along the Deir Ezzor-Homs axis.
According to reports from this front, the Islamic State began their assault by storming a Syrian Army garrison in the al-Shoula area that is located between Deir Ezzor city and the desert town of al-Sukhnah.
The field reports said the Islamic State Death Eaters managed to capture several points near the town of al-Shoula, marking the first time in several months that they have captured new ground in eastern Syria.
A source from the Syrian Arab Army told al-Masdar over the weekend that the Islamic State has recently increased their activities in the Badiya al-Sham region of Syria, prompting the Syrian and Russian air forces to get involved.
This has also been the case in northwestern Iraq, where the Islamic State elements have been involved in a number of fierce festivities with the Iraqi Armed Forces and the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd al-Sha’abi).
ISIS has used the vast desert region between Syria and Iraq to hideout after their defeats in 2017 and 2018; they have used this territory to regroup and rebuild their forces.
