Another Operation Kills ISIS Spokesperson al-Muhajir Day After ISIS Leader's Death
Next!
[Townhall] In a new strike in Syria, the CIA has targeted Abu al-Hassan al-Muhajir, the spokesperson for ISIS who is considered to have been ISIS Leader al Baghdadi's right-hand man. The news comes just one day after U.S. forces killed al Baghdadi in a top-secret raid, Newsweek is reporting.
(Via Newsweek)

Syrian Democratic Forces commander Mazloum Abdi, also known as Mazloum Kobane, also reported on the news Sunday.

"Continuing the previous operation, terrorist Abu al-Hassan al-Muhajir, the right-hand man of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and an ISIS spokesman, was targeted in the village of Ayn al-Bayda, near Jarablus, in direct coordination between SDF intelligence and the U.S. military," Kobane said.

Muhajir was named ISIS spokesperson in 2016 after his predecessor, Abu Mohammad al-Adnani, was killed in a U.S. airstrike, also in Aleppo. Unlike Baghdadi and Adnani, who were known to be Iraqi and Syrian nationals, respectively, and were openly active in Al-Qaeda in Iraq, Muhajir's identity was publicly unknown, though his nickname?‐meaning "emigrant"?‐suggested he may be a foreigner.

The anonymous militant has offered occasional sermons released via audio messages, and was most recently heard in March, breaking nearly six months of silence as the group's final strongholds in eastern Syria collapsed. Less than a week after his latest message, Trump claimed victory over ISIS.

Reporter Asks Trump if he's Notified Congressional Leaders About al-Baghdadi Raid; ‘We Decided Not to Because Washington Leaks Like I've Never Seen Before'
[Red State] After notifying the American people that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was dead, he was asked by a reporter if he has "notified the congressional leaders about this? Pelosi, Schiff, Mitch McConnell?"

President Trump replied:

We notified some. Others are being notified now as I speak. We were going to notify them last night but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like I've never seen before. There's no country in the world that leaks like we do. And Washington is a leaking machine. And I told my people we will not notify them until our great people are out, not just in, but out. I don't want to have them greeted with firepower like you wouldn't believe. So, we were able to get in. It was top secret...

A leak could have cost the deaths of all of them.

President Trump was right not to notify them ahead of time. They can't be trusted. This is a group of people who have a vested interest in preventing Donald Trump from getting a win, especially a foreign policy win.
They can't be trusted. Treasonous POS's
Democrats are notorious leakers. They impose strict secrecy rules around their impeachment inquiry meetings, then they strategically leak just the right sound bites, usually taken out of context.

And, coming on the heels of the sharp rebuke Trump has faced over his decision to withdraw troops from Northern Syria, this moment is all the sweeter. Would you trust Adam Schiff or Nancy Pelosi to put country before politics? I wouldn't.

Given the choice between the deaths of 50 anonymous U.S. soldiers or watching Trump take a victory lap, I believe they would choose the former. And then Pelosi would appear on cable and ask Americans to pray for our fallen soldiers and their families.

#1  [NY Post] Asked if he had notified House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has launched an impeachment probe against the president, Trump said, “I didn’t do that.”
Pelosi, in a statement, praised the “heroism, dedication and skill of our intelligence professionals and acknowledge the work of our partners in the region.”

The California Democrat also called on the Trump administration to keep Congress in the know.
Trump says monitoring US raid on al-Baghdadi was like 'watching a movie'

“The House must be briefed on this raid, which the Russians but not top Congressional Leadership were notified of in advance, and on the Administration’s overall strategy in the region,” the statement said. “Our military and allies deserve strong, smart and strategic leadership from Washington.”

Rep. Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, which is at the forefront of the inquiry, said it was a “mistake” not to notify congressional leaders of a military operation.

“Had this escalated, had something gone wrong, had we gotten into a firefight with the Russians, it’s to the administration’s advantage to be able to say, ‘We informed Congress we were going in, they were aware of the risks. We at least gave them the chance to provide feedback.’ That wasn’t done here. I think that’s a mistake,” he told ABC News’ “This Week.

#4  Don't know if Pelosi and Schiff know this, but Islamists have a bug in their bonnet about western civilization. They have security against the deplorables, dirt people, and just plain joes, so they can pontificate till the cows come home.

They can buy security and loyalty but for what price and for how long? When you break the rules, then there are no rules eventually.

The veneer of civilization is very thin.

#9  It was determined on President Obama’s watch that Congressional leaders needn’t be informed until afterwards in the case of such actions, per Instapundit:

FLASHBACK: Stephen Preston, the CIA’s general counsel “wrote a memo addressing when the administration had to alert congressional leaders under a statute governing covert actions. Given the circumstances, the lawyers decided that the administration would be legally justified in delaying notification until after the raid.”

—“Secret lawyers’ meetings determined Osama bin Laden would be killed,” the New York Times, October 29, 2015. (Link goes to reprint at the Sydney Morning Herald, as original is behind the Times’ subscriber paywall.)

The Plundering of Ukraine by Corrupt American Democrats
[UNZ] Top Dems are involved in the plundering of the Ukraine: new names, mind-boggling accounts. The mysterious ‘whistleblower' whose report had unleashed the impeachment is named in the exclusive interview given to the Unz Review by a prominent Ukrainian politician, an ex-Member of Parliament of four terms, a candidate for Ukraine's presidency, Oleg Tsarev.

Mr Tsarev, a tall, agile and graceful man, a good speaker and a prolific writer, had been a leading and popular Ukrainian politician before the 2014 putsch; he stayed in the Ukraine after President Yanukovych's flight; ran for the Presidency against Mr Poroshenko, and eventually had to go to exile due to multiple threats to his life. During the failed attempt to secede, he was elected the speaker of the Parliament of Novorossia (South-Eastern Ukraine). I spoke to him in Crimea, where he lives in the pleasant seaside town of Yalta. Tsarev still has many supporters in the Ukraine, and is a leader of the opposition to the Kiev regime....

And President Zelensky? Is he free from Clintonite Democrats’ influence?

If he were, there would not be the scandal of Trump phone call. How the Democrats learned of this call and its alleged content? The official version says there was a CIA man, a whistle-blower, who reported to the Democrats. What the version does not clarify, where this whistle-blower was located during the call. I tell you, he was located in Kiev, and he was present at the conversation, at the Ukrainian President Zelensky’s side. This man was (perhaps) a CIA asset, but he also was a close associate of George Soros, and a Ukrainian high-ranking official. His name is Mr Alexander Daniluk. He is also the man the investigation of Sam Kislin and of the DoJ had led to, the Finance Minister of Ukraine at the time, the man who was responsible for the embezzlement of three billion US taxpayer’s best dollars. The DoJ issued an order for his arrest. Naturally he is devoted to Biden personally, and to the Dems in general. I would not trust his version of the phone call at all.

U.S. lawmakers hear from 'corroborating' witness in Trump impeachment probe
(Reuters) - A senior U.S. diplomat told lawmakers on Saturday he did not know whether President Donald Trump had withheld aid for Ukraine to force an investigation of a political rival, two sources said, even as Democrats said he corroborated evidence gathered in their impeachment probe.

Philip Reeker, the acting assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, spent about eight hours with the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs, Intelligence and Oversight committees behind closed doors at the U.S. Capitol.

Reeker told lawmakers that in the June-August period he had no knowledge of the possibility that U.S. security aid to Ukraine may have withheld to pressure Kiev to launch investigations that could have helped Trump’s 2020 re-election bid, as some have alleged, according to the sources familiar with the matter.

#1  The Congress will vote to impeach. The Senate will veto. Pres. Donald Trump will be re-elected. The Dems will protest, declare the election invalid, and establish a separate government.

An ex-offico president and cabinet will then be appointed. The newly appointed president will be known by her initials and will immediately begin work to establish a new 'Green' constitution along with a more gender and diversely appropriate national flag. Congressional sessions will held via on-line websites and twitter. All servers will of the "home brew" type and will be managed via a no-bid contract with Platte River Networks of Denver, CO. Screen names will be gov't approved (sorry, “Pierre Delecto” is already taken).

Civilian ownership of firearms and home schooling will be immediately outlawed. The New York Stock Exchange will be declared racist and illegal, and be forced to close. Onerous fees will be charged for anyone owning a deadly gasoline powered combustion engine. Huge financial donations from unknown sources will fund the new government until new and different money is printed. With the CBC leading the way, illegals from across the globe, federal employees, the AFL-CIO, NEA, along with disaffected current and retired senior military officers, Google, Shep Smith, the FBI and CIA, will flock to offer allegiance and party membership. The media will gleefully follow.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will no longer be needed and abolished. All personal income will be provided by the US Gov't and 'guaranteed', officially making everyone a government employee (no downside here, they make considerably more anyway).

The new government (and the Pope) will declare, electricity, medical care, food, and guaranteed income, all 'human rights' until there is no more.

Old news and quite a bit more is known today about the genesis of efforts to take down Trump (most likely posted at RB at the time). The MSM media seems to have conveniently and completely forgotten about this 1/11/2017 article. Maybe Barr and Durham will flesh out the finer details of all this in the criminal investigation.

#4  And then patriots of the actual United States take out power, water and shoot up food trucks attempting to feed the Democrat cesspits...strongholds in their nice urban cities. In two weeks all food is gone and they start eating rats. A week later the attempted mass breakout ends when the front ranks are annihilated by concentrated rifle fire. They start to eat each other, disease killing many as water becomes quite scarce. Fires destroy much of the cities. 3 months later, the last remnants of the democrats are cleared by volunteers from the Deplorables.

Not just Pierre & Carlos: Secret Twitter Accounts for Comey, Supreme Court Justice & Clerks
[WashingtonTimes] Former FBI Director James Comey, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer and, of course, disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner, who called himself “Carlos Danger,” sought refuge in private social media accounts.

Ms. Feinberg previously outed Mr. Comey’s hidden Instagram account, formerly “@reinholdniebuhr” after Mr. Comey hinted at having both a private Twitter and Instagram account where he monitored social media chatter.

Justice Breyer began using a hidden Twitter account nearly a decade ago. He told the House Appropriations Committee in 2011 that he had set up a private account to keep tabs on the political unrest in Iran.

“The open secret of Supreme Court advocacy in a digital era” is that the new way to argue in front of the justices is to reach them online via such avenues as blogs, podcasts, and social media posts, they wrote in the Cornell Law Review.

Mr. Fisher and Ms. Orr Larsen studied the Twitter habits of Supreme Court law clerks who help craft the justices’ decisions and thinking, and found the clerks’ social media habits had a definite impact.

“In particular, we show that the Twitter patterns of law clerks indicate they are paying close attention to producers of virtual briefing, and threads of these arguments (proposed and developed online) are starting to appear in the court’s decisions,” wrote Mr. Fisher and Ms. Orr Larsen for Cornell Law Review in 2019. “We argue that this ‘crowdsourcing’ dynamic to Supreme Court decision-making is at least worth a serious pause. … The confines of the adversarial process have been around for centuries, and there are significant risks that come with operating outside of it, particularly given the unique nature and speed of online discussions.”

Motorcyclist Who Identifies As Bicyclist Sets Cycling World Record
[Babylon Bee] NEW YORK, NY‐In an inspiring story from the world of professional cycling, a motorcyclist who identifies as a bicyclist has crushed all the regular bicyclists, setting an unbelievable world record.

In a local qualifying race for the World Road Cycling League, the motorcyclist crushed the previous 100-mile record of 3 hours, 13 minutes with his amazing new score of well under an hour.

Professional motorcycle racer Judd E. Banner, the brave trans-vehicle rider, was allowed to race after he told league organizers he's always felt like a bicyclist in a motorcyclist's body.

"Look, my ride has handlebars, two wheels, and a seat," he told reporters as he accepted a trophy for his incredible time trial. "Just because I've got a little extra hardware, such as an 1170-cc flat-twin engine with 110 horsepower, doesn't mean I have any kind of inherent advantage here."

Banner also said he painted the word "HUFFY" on the side of his bike, ensuring he has no advantage over the bikes that came out of the factory as bicycles.

Some critics say he needs to cut off his motor in order to make the competition fairer, but he quickly called these people bigots, and they were immediately banned from professional cycle racing.

Dutch inventor unveils device to scoop plastic out of rivers
ROTTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) ‐ A young Dutch inventor is widening his effort to clean up floating plastic from the Pacific Ocean by moving into rivers, too, using a new floating device to catch garbage before it reaches the seas.

The 25-year-old university dropout Boyan Slat founded The Ocean Cleanup to develop and deploy a system he invented when he was 18 that catches plastic waste floating in the ocean.

On Saturday he unveiled the next step in his fight: A floating solar-powered device that he calls the "Interceptor" that scoops plastic out of rivers as it drifts past.

"We need to close the tap, which means preventing more plastic from reaching the ocean in the first place," he said, calling rivers "the arteries that carry the trash from land to sea."

Slat’s organization has in the past drawn criticism for focusing only on the plastic trash already floating in the world’s oceans. Experts say 9 million tons (8 million metric tons) of plastic waste, including plastic bottles, bags, toys and other items, flows annually into the ocean from beaches, rivers and creeks, endangering marine life in the oceans, including whales .

Three of the machines have already been deployed to Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam ‐ and a fourth is heading to the Dominican Republic, he said.

Izham Hashim from the government of Selangor state in Malaysia was present at the launch and said he was happy with the machine.

Church shooting suspect badly beats public defender
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) ‐ A man charged with attempted murder in a church shooting attacked his public defender during a jailhouse meeting, sending the man to intensive care with severe head injuries and no memory of the beating, according to documents released Tuesday.

Dale Holloway, 37, of Manchester, assaulted public defender Michael Davidow on Monday morning at the Valley Street jail in Manchester, New Hampshire, the documents said.

No one saw the assault because the two men were in an unmonitored interview room, and the closest officer was at a desk facing away from the room, according to jail officials.

Attorneys generally turn the lights on and off or tap the glass to get the officer’s attention when a meeting ends, officials told police. In this case, the officer heard a knock and turned to see Holloway standing up and Davidow seated at the table, with his hands over his face and blood dripping onto the floor.

During the ambulance ride, Davidow told paramedics he was a public defender but didn’t remember going to work, and he was unable to answer questions about the year or time of day. At the hospital, he said he remembered putting his phone and keys into a locker at the jail before his meeting with Holloway, and then waking up in the ambulance.

The Fake Farmer's Revolt Against Trump
[Hot Air] One of the constant media themes over the past couple of years has been the story of how terrible Donald Trump’s trade wars with various countries ‐ particularly China ‐ have been for farmers in the midwest. They are allegedly further angered by the President’s "favors" to the oil and gas industry in the form of waivers granted to smaller refineries under the Renewable Fuel Standard, leading to lower prices for corn. This, if you believe what’s regularly repeated on CNN and other outlets, has led to Trump’s support among those in the agricultural community declining. The farmers are angry at the toll that’s been taken on their profits and their way of life.

This mantra has been picked up in outlets both large and small. One example can be found in this breathless article from The Gazette in Iowa. It declares, "No more Iowa nice!" The article then goes on to suggest that farmers are so upset with Trump’s EPA that he’s losing support among a group that was previously solidly behind him.

Joe Biden's Trouble With Truth
[Powerline] In his lifetime in politics, Joe Biden has always had a tenuous connection to reality. As he has gotten elderly, that connection has weakened further. While politicians in general are not famed for veracity, Biden’s pronouncements‐especially about himself, a topic on which you might expect him to be an authority‐are uniquely likely to be false.

The latest case in point: Brother of Sandy Hook victim calls out Joe Biden for ’factual inaccuracy’.
Joe Biden has been accused of lying about his claim that he met with ’every family’ who lost a child in the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre.

JT Lewis, whose six-year-old brother Jesse was one of the 26 people killed in the Connecticut mass shooting, eviscerated the 2020 hopeful for making the claim in a new video released earlier this week.

In that clip, Biden promised to do more to bring about gun control and stated: ’What really got to me, really firsthand, was what happened up at Sandy Hook. I think I met with every one of the parents, and/ or the families of those who were lost.’

However, Lewis hit back on Twitter on Wednesday, writing: ’This is a lie. Obama came to Sandy Hook and met with every family. Joe Biden DID NOT. In fact, my family was not allowed on Air Force One because we refused to support Obama/Biden gun control efforts.’

Lewis has also pointed out that Biden is so out of touch that he thought he was vice president when the Parkland shootings happened. Lewis concludes:

Lewis then bluntly added: ’Joe Biden is either a liar or he’s losing his mind.’

Gov Gavin Newsom Struggles To Stay In Control As California Goes Dark, Wildfires Spread, And Gas Prices Spike
[Daily Caller] Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom is warning citizens that they could be in for a long weekend as the state’s public utility announced Saturday plans to shut down huge sections of the electric grid.

The Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s move could black out an estimated 940,000 homes and businesses in parts of more than 30 counties up and down California. PG&E is trying to prevent potential wildfires from spreading through the state while keeping tabs on downed power lines.

Newsom, who is under pressure as gas prices increase, told Californians things are going to be tough for the next few days.

"The next 72 hours will be challenging," the Democrat said at a news conference. "I could sugarcoat it, but I will not."

The rolling blackouts could surpass those of the 750,000 customers who dealt with similar shut-offs earlier in October. Newsom started to circulate blame for many of the problems Californians are facing, including the blackouts and rising gas prices.

Before former ICE director speaks, Penn shuts the event down citing loud student chants
[Daily Penn] Perry World House abruptly ended a scheduled event Wednesday on immigration policy and escorted guests off the stage after one of the speakers, former United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Acting Director Thomas Homan, was met with dozens of student protesters.

Students wielding signs that read, "Abolish ICE" and "No one is illegal on stolen land," gathered inside and outside of Perry World House minutes before the "Detention and Deportation from Obama to Trump" event, which was scheduled to take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Before the protest, more than 500 students and alumni signed a petition demanding that Penn cancel the event because of controversial policies Homan implemented when he led ICE.

At about 4:45 p.m., protesters lined the outside of the building and sat in the event room filled with attendees. The students inside were chanting, "No hate. No fear. Immigrants are welcome here" and "Go home Homan."

An official standing in front of the audience attempted to talk about Penn’s First Amendment rights and the event's intention over the protesters, but they continued chanting.

America Wasn't Founded on White Supremacy
[The American Mind] Revisionist Black supremacist history can't grasp our shared equality.

When Beto O’Rourke’s poll numbers were cratering in the Democratic primary runoff this summer, he decided that the only decent thing to do from his perch of white privilege was to confess that "this country was founded on white supremacy." This did little to boost his national appeal.
The limb was not properly guided or pruned, it will very likely always need a crutch.
Nevertheless, the New York Times Magazine and the Pulitzer Center have doubled down on the claim that white supremacy is the essence of the American regime in their "1619 Project." Complete with study guides and curricula which supplement more than thirty essays and artistic productions, this multilayered initiative seeks "to reframe the country’s history" by "placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of the story we tell ourselves about who we are."

One crucial "1619" installment is a 7,300-word essay by Nikole Hannah-Jones titled "Our Democracy’s Founding Ideals were False When They Were Written. Black Americans have Fought to Make Them True."

In Hannah-Jones’s version of American history, the Declaration of Independence marks not the beginning of a new era in human civilization, but only the continuation of white supremacy’s oppressive march on American soil. America did not begin in 1776 with the declaration that "all men are created equal," but with the clear negation of that statement in 1619, when the first 20 American slaves landed in Jamestown, Virginia. As far as the bedrock of America goes, it’s racism all the way down. Hannah-Jones ably informs us of many important contributions that blacks have made to America’s political and cultural prosperity.

But she unfortunately excludes significant facts that would ruin her disingenuous argument about the American Founders and their most exemplary defender, Abraham Lincoln. Hannah-Jones’s mistake is to interpret American history as a zero-sum narrative, wherein the recovered strivings of black folk must displace the recorded achievements of white folk. What we need is a more capacious revision of American history‐one that incorporates the heroic participation and fealty of black Americans while also acknowledging the Founders’ efforts to establish a free society in a land accustomed to racial slavery. Instead, Hannah-Jones’s "history" is riddled with half-truths, overstatements, out-of-context quotations, and just plain falsehoods about the founding and Lincoln. She distorts our past and undermines our common understanding of how we strove as a diverse people to align our practices with our noblest professions.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

A. Lincoln

Deep State Hates America First Policy
[Townhall] After the longest war in the history of our country, it is time for our troops to return home. In 2001, the United States responded to the horrific terrorist attacks of 9/11 by sending our military to Afghanistan on a mission to destroy Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. We were successful in destroying their terrorist camps, killing and capturing Al-Qaeda leaders, and forcing Bin Laden out of the country.

Amazingly, our military is still in Afghanistan, although the Taliban control over half of the country. Of course, President Trump and his supporters want to bring these troops home, but he is facing enormous resistance within the government, including the Defense Department.

During the war in Afghanistan, the administration of President George W. Bush invaded Iraq in 2003 to remove Saddam Hussein from power. It was believed that he harbored weapons of mass destruction; however, none were ever discovered.
Not true. We had contemporaneous reports and personal witness here at Rantburg of troops harmed by huge storage bunkers full of leaking barrels of insecticides, far, far beyond the needs of the farmers and gardeners in Iraq over many years. There was the nuclear thingy, buried under that researcher’s rosebushes, waiting to be put back to work, and of course other bunkers full of barrels of yellowcake, waiting to be refined. Not to mention whatever it was that was burnt in the canals for weeks before the 2003 invasion, and the endless convoy going back and forth tio the Bekaa Valley, followed by one of Saddam Hussein’s dutiful daughters and family going into exile. It wasn’t just Daddy’s gold she was hiding for him. But the New York Times, et al, had their narrative, and President Bush’s team lacked Donald Trump’s gleeful combativeness and Twitter account.
Eventually, Hussein was captured and executed, and, fortunately, Bin Laden was also killed in Pakistan in 2011 after a daring Navy Seal Team 6 mission.

After many twists and turns in Iraq, the terrorist group ISIS was largely destroyed, the country was stabilized, and most of our military forces departed. Today, the United States maintains 5,000 troops in the country.

While some military presence in the region is worthwhile to monitor terrorist strongholds, it does not have the same type of importance for our economy. When Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990, this region of the world was incredibly important to our economy. Today, while it is still critical to Europe and other areas of the world, it is not as vital to the United States. Fortunately, our country does not "need" their oil, we are energy independent for the first time in many decades.

Did the inspectors find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? Feb 3, 2005

Yes--and they destroyed more of them than the U.S.-led coalition did during the Gulf War. Among other things, U.N. inspectors located hundreds of tons of chemical weapons agents and thousands more tons of the chemicals used to make them; a major biological weapons production facility; machines for separating out radioactive isotopes that could be used to fuel a nuclear bomb; and dozens of missiles, launching pads, and missile warheads for both conventional and chemical munitions. Inspectors were stunned by the volume of information and material they found, and surprised that Iraq’s weapons programs were much more advanced than they had expected.

Is Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy the Cause of Parents Pushing Kids to Become Transsexual?
h/t Instapundit
[BrassPills] It seems almost inconceivable that a good parent would simply accept it when their small child claims to be a different gender.

...It is beyond belief, especially since 10 years ago, across the political spectrum, almost no one would have gone along with this. There haven’t been any great scientific discoveries or reasons that this makes sense, the political winds just shifted and half the country, including to their eternal shame, many teachers, government officials & psychologists, just went along with it. This has created a situation where schools are actually promoting being transgender to kids, who then go along with it and go to a psychologist who feeds their delusion and then the government comes along to stiff-arm anyone who suggests that they might be making a mistake.

This is despite the fact that 40% of transgender kids attempt to commit suicide and the number may arguably be HIGHER among people that have mutilated themselves via surgery. This is despite the fact that 70-80% of kids that think they are the other gender at some point, later change their minds.

Today, when I was doing the Jaz McKay show, Jaz suggested something brilliant about the parents of these kids that I had not thought of before.

He suggested many of the parents pushing this idea on their children may be suffering from a new type of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy.

Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSP) ‐ or Munchausen by proxy ‐ is a psychological disorder marked by attention-seeking behavior by a caregiver through those who are in their care.

MSP is a relatively rare behavioral disorder. It affects a primary caretaker, often the mother. The person with MSP gains attention by seeking medical help for exaggerated or made-up symptoms of a child in his or her care. As health care providers strive to identify what’s causing the child’s symptoms, the deliberate actions of the mother or caretaker can often make the symptoms worse.

#1  My two cents. I think I'll have to do it in parts.

It's mainly overbearing mothers that are behind this. I'm guessing this sort of thing primarily affects homes where the pants are worn by the lady and the man is just a hapless bread earner, or not even that.

#2  Men emasculated by their narcissistic wives and shouted back at by their young can't be role models. The dominating archetype in the developing years becomes a 'brawling woman' from which there is no escape. Puberty brings a neurochemical whirlpool - the chief demands of the senses being sexual experience. At an age where approaching the opposite sex for release is questionable, the subject may take to m@sturbation. You will notice that only the unhealthy looking specimens will stick to just that, for an understandable fear of rejection. Self worth and confidence are essential ingredients of a healthy sex life and vice versa. M@sturbation and fetishes too do not satiate the angst created by an opposite sex archetype for self worth, leading to exploration of alternatives that will create friction with acceptable living. An easier solution is provided by the popular fallacy that 'gender is fluid', which emerged out of the 'love yourself as you are' doctrine of modern psychiatry.

Basically, 'if you can't fuck 'em, you can join 'em.'

The insurmountable LHS created in the mind is now answered by a suitable RHS and the equation is resolved for the psyche. This is only rudimentary conditioning and reinforcement though, a sort of Pavlovian trick to make the individual think his needs are only easier met, if he alters his biology. It can't stand the test of life, as the article says. It's bound to come crashing at a later age and destroy what little self-worth there could have been. The individual will hence consider he was 'toyed with' and used by the world, he will want to hate his parents and doctors and counselors and find no escape from the memory of it all.

I have seen this and similar phenomena playing out in some rich families, and observed women unwittingly driving their sons to homosexuality, then to total lipsticked 'freedom' from reality. God even saved a life from being ruined, and I was of use. The cure entailed a re-balancing of the power order in the family really.

The Georgulas phenomenon is newer, maybe begun by hollywood moms and taken up by other narcissistic women. It is militant, empowered by a confused legal system. A woman power thing, it entails literally forcing a boy to become a girl. A kind of planned, historic revenge on the male sex, carried out on mostly adopted or foster children.

In a sane society, it would be termed abuse and the kid separated by the CPS, the pervert jailed. A judge would only be needed to sign warrants and not to arbitrate on who's a better parent.

General John Kelly: I Warned Donald Trump About Getting Impeached
BLUF:
[Breitbart] Kelly admitted that he had "second thoughts" about leaving, after watching the chaos take place in the White House in his absence.

"It pains me to see what’s going on because I believe if I was still there or someone like me was there, he would not be, kind of, all over the place," he said.

Despite Kelly’s attempt to rein in Trump’s instincts, he ultimately resigned in December 2018 after a tumultuous period in the White House with warring political factions.

A former Marine general, Kelly appeared to resent his job at the White House, describing it as "bone-crushing hard" after he left and "the least enjoyable job" he ever had.

The general signaled disapproval with the way the White House was run in his absence under Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney.

"The system that should be in place, clearly ‐ the system of advising, bringing in experts in, having these discussions with the president so he can make an informed decision, that clearly is not in place," he said. "And I feel bad that I left."

James Comey Says He's Moving To New Zealand If Trump Wins Reelection (If He's Not In Prison)
[Townhall] Former FBI Director James Comey says he will move to New Zeland if President Trump wins reelection. But depending on the report by Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Comey may not be traveling anywhere at all. The Department of Justice announced last week that it was opening a criminal investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation.

At Politicon 2019 in Nashville on Saturday, during a "conversation" with Never Trumper MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, Comey said, "Our leaders must reflect the glue that holds us together. They can’t be people who lie all the time. They just can’t. And I hope people see that’s true whether they are Republicans or Democrats. Wallace then asked, "What if he wins again? Will you still believe that?" Comey said, "I will be, from my new home in New Zeland, I will still believe in America."

Protests Rattle the Postwar Order in Lebanon and Iraq
[AnNahar] Tens of thousands of people, many of them young and unemployed men, thronged public squares and blocked main streets Friday in the capitals of Iraq and Leb in unprecedented, spontaneous anti-government revolts in two countries scarred by long conflicts.

Demonstrators in Iraq were beaten back by police firing live ammunition and tear gas, and officials said 30 people were killed in a fresh wave of unrest that has left 179 civilians dead this month. In Leb, scuffles between rival political groups broke out at a protest camp, threatening to undermine an otherwise united civil disobedience campaign now in its ninth day.

The protests are directed at a postwar political system and a class of elite leaders that have kept both countries from relapsing into civil war but achieved little else. The most common rallying cry from the protesters in Iraq and Leb is "Thieves! Thieves!" ‐ a reference to officials they accuse of stealing their money and amassing wealth for decades.

Bangladesh
Blow the house down
[Dhaka Tribune] Social media has many uses -- some good, some mildly disturbing. But what we are seeing now in Bangladesh, most recently in Bhola and in many other places before that, is unmatched in its vileness, and reveals the existence of a mind-set in our country that most decent people would rather not think about.

But think about it we must, because we are seeing this ugly thing happen again and again.

This is not a one-off incident, it is a trend. And if we are to stop this trend, we need to recognize it for what it is, and take the swiftest and harshest action, or God help us all.

Gaza terrorist groups raise alert level amid fears of Israeli operations
Oh dear. How very dreadful for them. And so close to Halloween, too.
[Jpost] Terrorist groups in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip have raised their alert level due to fears of Israeli operations against them, said a source in the groups to the Lebanese, Hezbollah-affiliated Al Akhbar newspaper.

One of the reasons for raising the alert level was an increase in the intensity of reconnaissance flights over Gaza and the presence of manned spy planes at high altitudes over the area.

The terrorist groups fear that Israel may break the calm by carrying out indirect liquidations of terrorist leaders or by destroying military facilities.

On Thursday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi warned that "on both the northern and southern fronts, the situation is tense and fragile, and could deteriorate into a confrontation."

The source said the Syrian Arab Army killed at least five of the Islamic State snuffies during the attack, while the remaining snuffies managed to slip back into the desert before they could be captured by the military.

He would add that the Syrian Army has been high alert around al-Sukhnah these last few days as Islamic State snuffies have increased their activities in this desert region of eastern Homs.

Aid group: Libyan gunmen threaten migrants, rescuers at sea
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A humanitarian aid group says button men on Libya-flagged patrol boats have threatened the crew of its rescue ship Alan Kurdi and the migrants colonists it was rescuing, firing shots into the air and water.

Sea-Eye’s front man Gordon Isler told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that the unprecedented incident Saturday on the Mediterranean Sea was a "total shock" for the rescue crew, but that they had managed to bring all the roughly 90 migrants colonists on board without any serious injuries.

Isler said the Libyan boats arrived as the rescuers were handing life jackets to men and women on a white dinghy off the coast of Libya and began circling the ship, hampering the rescue operation.

He said the masked men fired "warning shots" and pointed mounted guns at the rescue crew and the migrants colonists, some of whom had jumped into the water, before pulling away.

Iraqi paramilitaries threaten ‘revenge’ after offices torched
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The heads of powerful Iraqi paramilitary factions threatened they would take "Dire Revenge" on Saturday after their offices in the south of the country were torched during deadly protests.

Demonstrators set fire to dozens of government buildings and offices belonging to the Iranian-backed Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) militias better known as Hashd al-Shaabi paramilitary force across southern cities late Friday.

In Missan province, the headquarters of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq, one of the PMU militias, was torched and a leading commander of the group reportedly killed.

Wissam al-Alyawi was later pronounced dead by the group, after footage circulated online showing him writhing in an ambulance as a crowd of men tried to break into it.

Asaib chief Qais al-Khazaali was in Baghdad on Saturday for the funeral procession of Alyawi and his brother Issam, apparently killed in the same incident.

"His blood is on America and Israel’s hands, but I will take Dire Revenge - many times over," Khazaali told mourners, holding back tears as he stood next to their wailing mother.

"This blood is proof to all our people of the size of the conspiracy that is targeting us," he said.

Dozens of PMUs fighters were gathered in military fatigues for the procession in central Baghdad, just a few districts south of where protests were taking place in Tahrir (Liberation) Square.

Another paramilitary force, Saraya al-Salam, had also been spotted in Baghdad in recent days after their leader Moqtada Tater al-Sadr
... the Iranian catspaw holy man who was 22 years old in 2003 and was nearing 40 in 2010. He spends most of his time in Iran, safely out of the line of fire, where he's learning to be an ayatollah...
threw his weight behind the demonstrations.

The Badr Organization, a powerful Iranian-backed gang whose offices were set alight in the southern city of Diwaniyah, also blamed Israel and the United States for Alyawi’s death.

"They don’t want a stable Iraq. They want to pull it into discord and chaos," said its head Hadi al-Ameri, who also attended the funeral.

And Harakat Nujaba, an Iraqi paramilitary faction close to Iran, warned protesters to stay peaceful. "Take a careful look, and let us be united," it said in an online statement.

Syrian army reaches border area, deploys around Turkish zone
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Syrian troops reached a key area near The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
’s border Saturday after sending further reinforcements to the region, in what a war monitor said was its largest deployment there in years.

Syrian regime forces entered the provincial borders of the town of Ras al-Ain, state news agency SANA said.

The regime forces entered the area, which was taken by Ottoman Turkish forces following a weeks-long offensive against Syria’s Kurds.

Troops also deployed along a road stretching some 30 kilometers south of the frontier, SANA added.

Turkey and its Syrian proxies on October 9 launched a cross-border attack against Kurdish-held areas, grabbing a 120-kilometer-long swathe of Syrian land along the frontier.

The incursion left hundreds dead and caused 300,000 people to flee their homes, in the latest humanitarian crisis in Syria’s brutal eight-year war.

This week, Turkey and Russia struck a deal in Sochi for more Kurdish forces to withdraw from the frontier on both sides of that Ottoman Turkish-held area under the supervision of Russian and Syrian forces.

On Saturday, the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said some 2,000 Syrian troops and hundreds of military vehicles were deploying around what Turkey calls its "safe zone".

Iraq MPs tied to populist cleric Moqtada al-Sadr declare sit-in at parliament
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iraqi politicians linked to populist holy man Moqtada Tater al-Sadr
... the Iranian catspaw holy man who was 22 years old in 2003 and was nearing 40 in 2010. He spends most of his time in Iran, safely out of the line of fire, where he's learning to be an ayatollah...
began an indefinite sit-in on Saturday night at parliament headquarters, two MPs told AFP, amid widespread anti-government protests.

A second wave of demonstrations demanding an end to corruption and an overhaul of the political system have rocked the capital Baghdad and the south since late Thursday.

Al-Sadr has already demanded the current government resign, but on Saturday members of his Saeroon bloc - parliament’s largest with 54 MPs - said they would escalate.

"We are on our way now to parliament for the sit-in, until the enactment of all reforms the Iraqi people are demanding," said MP Badr al-Zayadi.

Saeroon politicians were in touch with others to persuade them to join the move, he added.

Al-Zayadi told AFP the bloc had sent an "official request" to Iraqi President Barham Saleh who, according to Iraq’s constitution, could then ask parliament to withdraw confidence from the premier.

MP Raed Fahmy, a member of Iraq’s Communist Party who is allied to al-Sadr, confirmed the sit-in.

"We have joined the opposition and we demand the government resign," Fahmy told AFP.

Protests first erupted in Iraq on October 1, over unemployment, poor services and perceived government graft.

Four Burundian journalists charged with undermining state security
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Four Burundian journalists arrested this week were charged on Saturday with undermining state security, an editor at their newspaper tweeted, as Burundi’s government clamps down on journalists and human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
groups ahead of elections in 2020.

The journalists from domestic news website Iwacu and their driver had travelled to report on violence in the northwestern province of Bubanza when they were arrested on Tuesday.

Security forces had said they killed 14 people in the province who had crossed the border from the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. .

The media outlet had also received reports of rebel attacks and abductions of civilians. Editors decided to send radio journalist Christine Kamikazi, political news hound Agnès Ndirubusa, English-language journalist Egide Harerimana, photographer Térence Mpozenzi and driver Adolphe Masabarakiza to check on the situation.

Ethiopia PM Abiy warns ethnic violence could worsen
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed warned Saturday of further instability and vowed to bring to justice those responsible for violence that left at least 67 people dead this week.

“The crisis we have faced will become even more fearsome and difficult if Ethiopians don’t unite and stand as one,” Abiy said in a statement issued by his office, his first remarks since the violence broke out.

“We will unswervingly work to ensure the prevalence of the rule of law and to bring perpetrators to justice.”

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate also noted that what began as protests against his government had quickly morphed into clashes that took on an ethnic and religious dimension.

“There has been an attempt to turn the crisis into a religious and ethnic one. In the process our comrades have become victims in terrible circumstances,” he said.

He added that homes, businesses and places of worship had been destroyed, and that an untold number of Ethiopians had been displaced.

Violence erupted in Addis Ababa, the capital, and in much of Ethiopia’s Oromia region on Wednesday after a high-profile activist accused security forces of trying to orchestrate an attack against him - a claim police officials denied.

The activist, Jawar Mohammed, is credited with promoting the protests that swept Abiy to power last year but he has recently become critical of some of the premier’s policies.

Both men are from the Oromo ethnic group, Ethiopia’s largest, and their feud highlights divisions within Abiy’s Oromo support base that could complicate his bid for a five-year term when Ethiopia votes in elections currently planned for May 2020.

On Friday, Oromia police chief Kefyalew Tefera said 67 people had been killed there, including five police officers.

Buttigieg unveils criminal justice plan
[CNN] Pete Buttigieg
...the testicleless mayor of South Bend, Indiana, since 2012. Buttigieg graduated from Harvard College and, on a Rhodes Scholarship, from Pembroke College, Oxford. From 2007 to 2010, he worked at McKinsey and Company, a consulting firm. From 2009 to 2017 Buttigieg served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant and deploying to Afghanistan in 2014. Buttigieg was first elected mayor of South Bend in 2011 and was reelected in 2015. During his second term, he announced he was gay. Buttigieg also campaigned for Indiana state treasurer in 2010 and for chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2017, losing both elections. He is running for the Dem nomination in 2020 on the theory that being mayor of a nondescript medium sized city is qualification to run the country...
unveiled his criminal justice plan on Saturday, coinciding with a two-day swing through South Carolina -- a state where he has struggled to gain traction with African American voters -- and his participation in a presidential candidate criminal justice forum.
The South Bend, Indiana, mayor joins several other Democratic presidential contenders by proposing sweeping changes to the criminal justice system in an effort to roll back mass incarceration and address the system's disproportionate impact on black people.

Among the initiatives Buttigieg proposes is to reduce the incarcerated population by 50% at the federal and state levels, a proposal he introduced earlier this year; eliminating mandatory minimum sentences; legalizing marijuana, eliminating incarceration or drug possession offenses, reducing the sentences for other drug offenses; and pushing for changes to policing practices.

Buttigieg has faced criticism for rising violent crime in his home city as well as how its police department handled resident Eric Logan's killing by an officer.

Egypt's unemployment rate drops to lowest rate in 30 years
The gainfully employed are less likely to go a-jihading, always a good thing.
[AlAhram] Egypt's cabinet media center announced that the unemployment rate in Egypt reached the lowest level in 30 years with 7.5% in the second quarter of 2019, compared with 9.9% one year earlier.

The drop has been achieved thanks to main factors; including the implementation of 9,039 projects by the state during the period from July 2014 to December 2018 at a total cost of EGP 2.1 trillion, the center said in an info-graphic posted on its official website on Saturday.

The drop was also attributed to loans and facilities granted to companies and MSEs institutions at a value of EGP 144.2 billion during the period from December 2015 to June 2019, serving over 565,000 clients.

Bones to the sandbox...
[Air Force Magazine] An undisclosed number of B-1B Lancer bombers touched down at Prince Sultan AB, Saudi Arabia, their first deployment to the Middle East since they left the region in March. Their arrival marks a major addition of combat power to the newly opened location.

The B-1s flew directly to the base from Ellsworth AFB, S.D., in a deployment that "demonstrates PSAB’s ability to conduct combat ops," Air Forces Central Command said on Twitter. A video showed one of the Lancers touching down, with no additional information on the size of the contingent or length of deployment. A video from Air Force Global Strike Command shows at least four B-1s from the 34th Bomb Squadron taking off from Ellsworth.

California wildfires force more than 50,000 evacuations
[FOXNEWS] Authorities have ordered at least 50,000 people in Northern Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, to evacuate on Saturday as a potentially "catastrophic" wind event could amplify the wildfires that have scorched the area.

The entire towns of Healdsburg and Windsor are set to evacuate ahead of strong winds that may lead to erratic fire behavior.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office expects to be the biggest evacuation in the county in over 25 years with Sheriff Mark Essick saying its the largest evacuation order he's experienced in his 26-year career.

Mathematics a tool of racial oppression, Seattle public schools committee says
[AMERICANTHINKER] Something called the "K‐12 Math Ethnic Studies Framework," created by a Seattle Public Schools "Ethnic Studies Advisory Committee," is intended to instruct students that math is intimately connected to racial oppression. Students will be taught "how technology and/or science have been and continues [sic] to be used to oppress and marginalize people and communities of color." The framework, the final draft of which is scheduled to be completed by September 2020, will also attempt to "explain how math dictates economic oppression." That's correct: math.

Tracy Castro-Gill, the ethnic studies program manager at Seattle Public Schools, noted that the framework is intended to redress the fact that the district has not been properly serving minority students. Castro-Gill said, "The goal is to disrupt the status quo and do something different." Disrupting the status quo is the goal ‐ and sacred quest ‐ of all progressives. She added, "It's important to break down barriers while valuing our differences." Those of her ilk love breaking down barriers. And fences. And standards.

The framework curriculum will consist of four themes: Origins, Identity, and Agency; Power and Oppression; History of Resistance and Liberation; and Reflection and Action.

Rouhani battles hardliners on terror financing as Washington imposes new restrictions

Rouhani’s government has tried in recent years to pass the required legislation necessary to ratify international recommendations to combat money laundering and terrorism financing, overseen by the Gay Paree-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Bolstered by Washington’s increasing crippling sanctions due to Tehran’s nuclear program and the activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the region, Iran’s hardliners have become more upbeat about their opposition to the legislation.

Lee Smith: Deep State Used ‘Criminal Conspiracy' to Stop Flynn's Audit of Intelligence Agencies
[Breitbart] A multifaceted "criminal conspiracy" to destroy former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was launched by persons across the national security state apparatus to prevent audits of intelligence agencies' operations, said Lee Smith, author of The Plot Against the President: The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History, in a Friday interview on SiriusXM's Breitbart News Tonight with host Rebecca Mansour and special guest host Rick Manning.

Flynn sought to combat waste and fraud across intelligence agencies as President Donald Trump’s national security advisor via audits, said Smith.

"When General Flynn was coming to the White House, [he] was talking about conducting an audit across the intelligence community," Smith explained. "He recognized the amount of waste [and] the amount of money that had been misspent. He knew what people were doing. He knew that people were hiding these things in different black programs, and he was going to look and start to inspect budgets."

Smith continued, "He was going to get the entire senior intelligence service to hand in their resignations. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean he was going to fire everyone. What it means, though, is he wanted everyone to prove what they were doing, that they were doing their jobs, they were doing good for the country, they weren’t wasting money, they weren’t wasting time, and they weren’t running operations like the one they ran against General Flynn."

"The intelligence community, at that point ‐ what has correctly and colorfully became known as the deep state ‐ they rose nearly as one and they realized that General Flynn was an existential threat," assessed Smith. "He was actually going to start looking at their budgets and start looking at what they did. They had to find a way to fight him.

Pope Francis proposes female deacons, married priests at Amazon synod
[FOXNEWS] Pope Francis, rounding out his synod of Amazonian clergy, announced Saturday that he would be reopening a commission to study the history of women as deacons in the early days of the Catholic Church.

After calls by women for greater decision-making roles in the Church, the pope made the announcement at the end of his three-week assembly discussing issues facing the Amazon region, solutions to a shortage of priests, environmental protection and the role of women.

Francis originally opened a commission to study the possibility of women in the role in 2016, but the commission ended its work without a consensus on the topic. A gathering of 181 bishops voted on 120 recommendations presented to the pope. The recommendation to re-examine female deacons passed the two-thirds vote threshold, 137 in favor and 30 opposed, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Hillary Clinton puts on her best black accent and goes to Elijah Cummings's funeral
[AMERICANTHINKER] Some people put on their best black garments for the funeral of someone considered, by his friends at least, to be an honored dignitary.

Crooked Hillary Clinton
...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away...
's a little different. She put on her best black accent -- and uses it to spew bile.

The failed presidential candidate dropped the hard-edged corporate accent and got the cadence going with this one.

"He weathered storms and earthquakes, but never lost his faith. Like that Old Testament prophet, he stood against the corrupt leadership of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel."

She not only pretended to be black, pandering to presumably the black people in the audience, she bizarrely cited obscure Bible passages as if she'd been going to Bible studies for years as many black church-goers do, and threw out some not-disguised digs at President Trump, the perfect means of Wellstoning the funeral.

The statement further added that Qari Burhan was in command of a notorious group of gunnies and had planned and facilitated some of the deadliest attacks in Kabul city.

He had planned and conducted the 2017 attack close to Jamhuriat Hospital which killed 103 people and maimed 235 others, the defense ministry said, adding that he had planned and facilitated the attack on a high rise building in Abdul Haq Square in 2011.

Qari Burhan had also planned and facilitated some deadly attacks in Kabul including a car kaboom in 2015 which maimed 400 people and the attack on Alburz Township.

The defense ministry also added that Qari Burhan had close cooperation with Al Qaeda terrorist network and was facilitating the transfer of jacket wallahs to Ghazni and Pashtun-infested Logar provinces.

ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi Killed or Captured in Raid, According to Report
48 Hour Rule, of course, but here is a small ulululululu in anticipation.
[Townhall] Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), is believed to have been killed or captured in a top-secret operation, according to Newsweek.

(Via Newsweek)
The United States military has conducted a special operations raid targeting one of its most high-value targets, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State militant group (ISIS), Newsweek has learned. Donald Trump approved the mission nearly a week before it took place.

Amid reports Saturday of U.S. military helicopters over Syria's northwestern Idlib province, a senior Pentagon official familiar with the operation and Army official briefed on the matter told Newsweek that Baghdadi was the target of the top-secret operation in the last bastion of the country's Islamist-dominated opposition, a faction that has clashed with ISIS in recent years. A U.S. Army source briefed on the results of the operation told Newsweek that Baghdadi was killed in the raid. And the Defense Department told the White House they have "high confidence" that the high-value target killed was Baghdadi but further verification is pending."

The president will make a statement on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. eastern time, according to NBC News.

Newsweek on the kill.

UPDATES:

Well, damn. Just ignore the whole operation, then. Right to left: Army, Marines, Kushner ,Trump, Pence, National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien, if I'm not mistaken.

The normal progression in the West is left to right, Fred. Noted for those like me who were confused by going straight to the names.

CNN’s Tapper Complains Trump ISIS Announcement Being ’20 Minutes Late’

Politico:
Dana Shell Smith, a former U.S. ambassador to Qatar, warned that being so descriptive could backfire by stoking more anger toward the United States. She pointed out that former President Barack Obama was far more careful in describing al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden's killing. The Obama administration even pointed out that it gave bin Laden's body an Islamic funeral ritual before slipping it into the ocean.

"It was important for our relationships in the region and safety of our military and diplomats," the former ambassador wrote on Twitter. "It’s how America rolls. With honor. We don’t delight in death like the terrorists do."

Bednarek said the president’s extended remarks, in which he also repeatedly took credit for the raid and the defeat of ISIS, struck him as “a bit disquieting."

"But that is his penchant to do.”

NBC Decries Trump Taking ‘Victory Lap’ After Killing ISIS Leader
During NBC’s Sunday Today, chief White House correspondent Hallie Jackson noted that “Trump has repeatedly celebrated what he calls the defeat of ISIS,” but recalled, “He has not talked much personally about al-Baghdadi by name.” The tone and juxtaposition of those points were meant to suggest she was catching Trump in a contradiction.

“The President’s speech this morning will be a commander-in-chief moment for him, but consider the backdrop here, Willie. It comes at a time when critics have really raise questions about his policy in Syria,” she cautioned, to dump some cold water on the President.

Host Willie Geist then brought on couple leftist partisans in Obama-era CIA official Jeremy Bash and NBC political director Chuck Todd.

Bash recognized that al-Baghdadi was an important person to eliminate, but doubted if Trump’s decision would be of any military importance given his decision to leave Syria...

Russia doubts Trump’s claim about killing Baghdadi
There’s no credible data to prove a successful American raid took place against Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Russia’s Defense Ministry said. The US coalition didn’t even carry out any airstrikes in Idlib recently.

Earlier, Trump made a rare Sunday address from the White House informing the world that al-Baghdadi was eliminated in northwest Syria in a “daring nighttime raid” with the involvement of US special forces, planes, helicopters and drones. The Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) leader met his end “crying and screaming” in the face of the Americans’ might, he said.

But the Russian Defense Ministry insisted that “there were legitimate questions and doubts about the very fact [of the US operation] and, especially, its success.”

Moscow pointed out that it recorded no US coalition airstrikes in the Idlib area in northwest Syria on Saturday when the raid was held.

It also rejected Trump’s claims that Russian forces opened up the airspace under its control in Syria to American planes to facilitate the operation against the IS leader.

The ministry questioned the very possibility of al-Baghdadi’s presence in Idlib as the area is held by Al-Qaeda offshoot, Jabhat al-Nusra, who have always been mortal enemies of Islamic State.

Moscow noted that Islamic State was crushed in Syria in early 2018 in a joint effort by the government in Damascus and the Russian forces
Moscow noted that Islamic State was crushed in Syria in early 2018 in a joint effort by the government in Damascus and the Russian forces, meaning that yet another report of al-Baghdadi’s demise “bears no effect on the operational situation in Syria or on the actions of the remaining terrorists in Idlib.”

French Defense Minister Florence Parly also questioned the significance of the claimed US achievement, pointing out that the raid only marked “an early retirement for a terrorist [al-Baghdadi], but not for his organization.”

'Not a Big Deal' - Iranian Minister
Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi on Sunday said that the elimination of Abu Bakr Baghdadi, the leader of the Daesh* terrorist organisation by the US air force was not "a big deal" and that Washington had simply destroyed its own "creature."

"Not a big deal! You just killed your creature," Jahromi posted on Twitter in response to Trump's tweet reading "Something very big has just happened!"

... and yet...

Syria villagers tell of quiet neighbour
In the middle of the night amid the olive trees of northwest Syria, Abu Ahmad heard soldiers "speaking a foreign language" attack the home next door.

The helicopters reportedly targeted a home and a car outside the village of Barisha. The house targeted in the raid is located near an olive grove and tents of displaced Syrians.

The 55-year-old said he had repeatedly tried and failed to befriend his discreet neighbour in the village of Barisha in Idlib province.

But now, after President Donald Trump said Sunday a US special operation killed jihadist supremo Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in the village, Abu Ahmad was left wondering about who his neighbour was harbouring.

"We have shared nothing with this man except greetings," Abu Ahmad said of his mysterious neighbour, who claimed to be a merchant from the province of Aleppo.
"He wuz a quiet man, kept to himself..."
Around midnight, US helicopters dropped forces in Barisha where groups linked to the Islamic State group were present, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The helicopters targeted a home and a car outside the village of Barisha, said the war monitor, which relies on sources inside Syria for its information.

The operation killed nine people, including Baghdadi, Trump said Sunday.

It occurred about five kilometres (three miles) from the Turkish frontier and close to one of the main border crossings.

Abu Ahmad was a few dozen metres away, he said, when he saw an "attacking force", with gunfire ringing out as warplanes whooshed overhead.

Someone speaking in Arabic called on his neighbour -- apparently named Abu Mohammad -- to hand himself over, before the forces moved in.

The operation lasted for nearly three hours, he said.

Another resident in the area who gave his name as Abdel Hameed said he rushed to the scene of the attack after he heard helicopters, gunfire and explosions.

Strikes hit the house and a vehicle that was coincidently passing through the area at the time of the attack, he said.

There were six unidentified bodies inside the house and two others inside the vehicle, the 23-year-old said.

The body of the man known as Abu Mohammad was not left among the corpses, he was told by other residents.

"Some residents say he was taken along with another person," he told AFP.

FLATTENED SEA OF RUBBLE
Under a clear blue sky on Sunday morning, the targeted house was completely flattened into light grey rubble, an AFP correspondent said.

The area was cordoned off by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a jihadist alliance that dominates most of Idlib led by Syria's former Al-Qaeda affiliate.

Journalists were briefly allowed to film at the site.

The frame of a motorcycle lay in the rubble, its front wheel burned down to the spokes and what remained of electrical wires entangled across its length.

Covered in dust, a pink item of clothing was tangled in a branch amid the ruins.

Separated from the scene of the raid by a row of olive trees, two houses were visible nearby.

"We used to invite him to our house but he would never come," said Abu Ahmad, who has been living in Barisha for the past two years.
Standing outside the ruined house, Abu Ahmad said his neighbour used to leave early in the morning and return late at night.

"We used to invite him to our house but he would never come," said Abu Ahmad, who has been living in Barisha for the past two years.

He never saw any women or children at the house, he said, and never got familiar with the inhabitants.

"Even during holidays, we tried to build a relationship but it didn't work."

Baghdadi killing “vengeance” for Yezidi women: SDF

The killing of Islamic State (ISIS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi avenges “Kurdish Yezidi women” and all who have been hurt by ISIS, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Sunday, accusing Turkey of sheltering the terrorist leader.

“We consider the operation a vengeance for Kobane, Shingal, Khabur River, Nineveh Plains, Kirkuk, Xanaqin, Maxmour, especially a revenge for the Kurdish Yezidi women, and a revenge for humanity,” SDF spokespersons told reporters in Hasaka on Sunday.

In the early hours of Sunday, following a US-led covert operation, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, committed suicide by explosive belt after being discovered by US special forces.

The terror group has a left a notorious legacy of genocide against Yezidis, forced conversions imposed on religious minorities, and death and destruction. The group was declared defeated in Iraq at the end of 2017 and in March 2019 in Syria.

Yezidis were among the biggest victims of ISIS when their stronghold of Shingal, near the Syrian border, was overrun in 2014. Thousands of women were kidnapped, and sold into sexual slavery. Yezidi children were brainwashed and trained as child soldiers, while men were shot on site and killed en masse. The scars inflicted on the community five years ago remain as fresh as ever.

The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), and its female counterpart Women's Protection Units (YPJ), opened a safety corridor into Syria for Yezidis stranded on Mount Sinjar in August 2014, saving thousands from ISIS. Both Kurdish groups, which form the backbone of the SDF, have also been instrumental in freeing tens of Yezidi women and children from the hands of ISIS during their anti-ISIS ops.

“The operation that today took place was a revenge for anyone around the world hurt by the Daesh terrorist organization,” the SDF added, using the Arabic acronym for ISIS.

The Netherlands-based Free Yezidi Foundation (FYF) praised the US-led operation on “rapist” al-Baghdadi, who was known for abusing several Yezidi women, as well as US aid worker Kayla Mueller. In tweets published Sunday evening, FYF added that although many in the community welcomed his death, a trial would have been preferable. Speaking of the genocide, it added that “the memories will always be there. One day perhaps it will be exposed through actual indictments and trials.”

The SDF claimed that after taking control of Baghouz, ISIS' last bastion in Eastern Syria on March 23, they obtained "confirmed information" that Baghdadi had gone to Idlib, but they had not confirmed his exact whereabouts. "In the last days, his whereabouts were confirmed, and that information was shared with the American side, especially the CIA.”
The SDF claimed that after taking control of Baghouz, ISIS' last bastion in Eastern Syria on March 23, they obtained "confirmed information" that Baghdadi had gone to Idlib, but they had not confirmed his exact whereabouts. "In the last days, his whereabouts were confirmed, and that information was shared with the American side, especially the CIA,” their team asserted.

“As a result of joint sensitive and precise work for more than five months, between the Military Intelligence of the Syrian Democratic Forces and American forces, through coordination on the highest levels, the head of the Daesh, known as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has been eliminated in a joint operation with American forces today at dawn near one of the Turkish military bases in the Barisha village in the province of Idlib,” the SDF said.

The dawn operation was conducted with "actual participation" of the SDF's intelligence branch, who were very "vital members" of the whole operation, claimed the Kurdish military force.

They added that the recent Turkish incursion in Rojava delayed the operation.

“We from the Syrian Democratic Forces would like to announce that this operation was delayed for more than a month due to the Turkish aggression on our region,” the SDF claimed, referring to Turkey’s so-called “Peace Spring” operation into Kurdish-controlled Syrian territory on October 9.

The invasion was preceded by the withdrawal of US forces from the area based on the order of US President Donald Trump. Due to the Turkish invasion, SDF has to concentrate on defending its areas.

SDF Media Spokesman Mazloum Abdi told Associated Foreign Press (AFP) on Sunday that the death of the terror leader “will lead to revenge attacks”, including potential prison breaks. Security in SDF-prisons holding ISIS prisoners has been of major concern in recent weeks as Kurdish resources run low amid the Turkish invasion. Several prisoners managed to escape a Qamishli prison following Turkish shelling on October 11.

ISIS propaganda outlet Nashirnews announced via Telegram announced several attacks in recent days on SDF, Syrian and Iraqi forces.

Why was Baghdadi in areas under Turkish influence?

Baghdadi was sheltered by Turkey and Turkey has to answer why he was in areas in Idlib province that are under Turkish influence, the SDF also argued.

“We have before said that Daesh leaders are abetted and sheltered in Turkish state-controlled areas [in Syria]. Today's event, as we have already said, is the the biggest evidence of our argument,” the SDF added.

“This is the big question that needs to be asked, which the Turkish state has to answer. What was Baghdadi doing in areas under the influence of the Turkish forces in Idlib city near the Turkish border?" SDF asked.

Turkey has multiple observation points across the border of the Idlib province in Northwestern Syria. Idlib is dominated by Jihadist groups, especially the Hayat Tahrir Sham, the former al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria. The Turkish presence is based on an agreement from last year to prevent a Syrian offensive into the province.

The operation killed nine people including a Daesh senior leader called Abu Yamaan as well as a child and two women, it said.

ISIS cells in Idlib might have convinced ABB that this was his best bet after the events of the last two weeks. So if Trump authorized the raid a week ago, it might have directly followed from the Turkish invasion and intel tracking ABB’s migration from the Jazira.

... then Trump deserves a lot of credit. We'll see.

#32  Separately, I found this bit of speculation interesting:

Trump's Syria pullout lured the big ISIS rat out of his hole and ... boom!

So much for all that "expert" opinion in the last few weeks in the mainstream media that President Trump's pullout of U.S. troops from Syria would inevitably bring the recrudescence of ISIS. Even Saturday Night Live mocked that one, and on the night of the rubout, that didn't age well from even the first minute.

It almost makes one wonder if the terrorists themselves were fooled by the media/expert naysaying.

The terrorists, who are known to be voracious watchers of CNN and other mainstream news, decided that Trump was a wimp, a pacifist, a non-fighter for pulling U.S. troops out; Trump wouldn't fight them, they thought, leaving them with a field day. The coast was clear and it didn't take long before they popped out of their holes.

Such was the suggested thinking of one military expert featured on Fox News,

Death reduced to life sentence for six defendants in 2016 Khosous attack
[AlAhram] Egypt’s Cassation Court ruled on Saturday to mitigate the death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
into life imprisonment against six defendants in the case of the deadly attack on a security checkpoint in Khosous.

The attack on a security checkpoint in Khosous in 2016 left one policeman dead and others injured.

The Cassation Court also accepted the appeal of the General Prosecution to extend the punishment of the defendant Omar Khalil to maximum imprisonment of 15 years instead of three years, and upheld the prison sentences of the rest of the defendants.

Investigations revealed that in 2016 one of the defendants established and led a terrorist group with the aim of disrupting the provisions of law and constitution and preventing state authorities from carrying out their duties.

According to investigations, the group called for excommunicating the ruler, forcibly changing the regime and attacking the police and Armed Forces. It also trained other defendants on using firearms to assassinate coppers.

A Cairo criminal court had previously sentenced the six defendants to death and two others to life in prison in August 2018 over the attack.

The criminal court found the defendants guilty of orchestrating terrorist attacks against police and army personnel, recruiting others to join a terrorist organization, possession of illegal firearms and financing a terrorist organization.
We have nothing in the archives about the original incident, but here is Al Ahram’s report of 4 April 2016:
Gunmen shot dead a low-ranking police officer and injured an officer and a police conscript in an attack on a checkpoint on the outskirts of Cairo on Monday morning, an interior ministry source told state agency MENA.

An exchange of fire took place between the police and the unknown assailants at Al-Khosous checkpoint on the Cairo ring-road in Qalioubiya governorate, on the northern outskirts of Greater Cairo.

The injured police officer and conscript were transferred to hospital.

The assailants are still at large and security forces are searching for them, the source said.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
3 health workers killed in northern Syria, Turkish-backed militia blamed
[Rudaw] A Ottoman Turkish-backed Syrian militia is accused of killing three medical workers in northern Syria, as evidence accumulates of possible war crimes committed by the gangs during their campaign against Kurdish forces.

The Kurdish Red Islamic Thingy has confirmed that three of their paramedics, who had disappeared on October 13 near Suluk, southeast of the border town Gire Spi (Tel Abyad), are dead. "Their bodies were found dumped in the sewer. Reports indicate that Ottoman Turkish-backed Ahrar al-Sharqiya was responsible for what is widely regarded as a ’field execution’ targeting health workers," reported the Rojava Information Centre on Saturday morning.

The three paramedics have been identified as Media Bouzan, Hafin Khalil Ibrahim, and Mohammed Bouzan Sidi.

The Ottoman Turkish army is using Syrian militia groups as their boots on the ground, but these men, who often film their own violations, have been accused of multiple atrocities that American officials admit could constitute war crimes and for which The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
would be culpable.

Turkey's presidential spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin has said they "will investigate alleged war crimes," but reiterated Ankara's stance that the Kurdish forces are a terror organization.

The Kurdish Red Islamic Thingy (KRC), which is the primary medical aid agency on the ground after international organizations pulled their staff out of northern Syria a week after the crisis began citing insecurity, says four of their staff have been killed and five injured, "all of whom are targeted directly."

The fourth health worker killed was paramedic Hail al-Saleh who died on October 17 of wounds sustained in shelling of a medical point near Sari Kani three days earlier.

"Targeting health personnel and centers according to the international humanitarian law is a war crime, and the criminal must be punished," the KRC said in a statement Friday evening.

The KRC has documented multiple attacks on or near health facilities, hospitals, trauma stations, and ambulances.

Parts of the main east-west highway across northern Syria, the M4, have been closed because of the military operation. "As a result, aid transportation is being done through alternate routes, however these do not allow for the same volume of supplies to be transported given the condition of the roads," the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
’ humanitarian affairs office (OCHA) said in its most recent update, as of October 24.

Turkey’s Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said on Saturday morning that the Kurdish withdrawal is "going as planned."

Male Runner Wins NCAA Conference's 'Female Athlete of the Week'
[PJMEDIA] [PJMedia] Jonathan Eastwood (yes, I'm deadnaming, sue me) previously competed on the men's team but joined the women's cross-country team at the University of Montana this fall. By joining the women's team and competing under the name June Eastwood, he became the first "transgender" athlete to compete on an NCAA Division I women’s running team—which is likely the only reason he was given the honor.

Iraq
Iraqi protests against Iranian influence turn violent, 7 killed
[Jpost] Iraqi protesters spoke out against Iran's influence in the country and stormed buildings belonging to Iranian-backed Shi'ite militias and the Iranian embassy in Karbala in southern Iraq on Saturday, as renewed protests swept the nation, according to Sky News Arabia.

At least seven protesters were killed and 38 maimed in the Iraqi city of Hilla early on Sunday when members of the Iranian-backed Badr Organization militia gave the demonstrators a whiff of grapeshot, police and health sources said.

Protesters had gathered across Iraq on Saturday in a second day of anti-government protests, in which at least 67 people have died.

India-Pakistan
Grenade attack in Srinagar, 6 CRPF jawans injured
[OneIndia] Six CRPF jawans were maimed after bully boyz hurled a grenade and opened fire on the security forces in Karan Nagar, Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
The CRPF team was manning a checkpoint when the incident took place around 6.50 pm. The grenade explosion caused panic in the area, said police officials.

The security forces fired some shots in the air in retaliation, officials said, adding that further details were awaited.

The attack comes two months after the government scrapped Jammu and Kashmir's special status under Article 370 and split it into two union territories.

Pakistain-based terrorist groups made 328 bids to sneak into Jammu and Kashmir from across the border in 2018 and were successful in 143 of these attempts, the highest in the last five years, according to the Home Ministry's annual report.

The report of the ministry for 2018-19 made available on Friday said 257 turbans and 91 security personnel were killed in Jammu and Kashmir last year, the highest number of casualties in the state in the last five years.

Thirty-nine civilians were also killed during this period, it said. As per the report, there were 328 infiltration attempts by Pakistain-based terrorist groups into Jammu and Kashmir from across the border in 2018, of which 143 were successful.

Home Front: Politix
Biden campaign on 'life support'
[THEHILL] Former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant...
's campaign, it’s on life support after spending a million dollars on private jets shuttling in between fundraisers... only to end up with 9 million dollars in the bank

Biden's cash on hand totals rank him fourth in the Democratic field despite the candidate doing almost no national media and sparsely holding rallies. Literally the only thing he does is fundraise.

Despite that, the lackluster returns have led to a major reversal for the Biden campaign. After months of disavowing super PAC support, the Biden campaign put out a new statement saying super PAC support is now ok.

Biden is effectively trying to get his rich donors to bail him out of the race by greenlighting all the money that they can spend on his behalf in the early states. This is mightily hypocritical according to...Vice President Joe Biden himself back in a 2018 interview on PBS Newshour.

Not only did Biden say he is against taking super PAC money, he apparently gave the idea to Senator Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being a socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
! As with most things in Biden's record, there is something from his past that disputes what he is saying today. It just demonstrates the sheer desperation that his campaign is operating on to try and limp forwards towards the nomination.

Egypt's Sisi extends state of emergency for 3 months
Sorry guys. You had your One Man, One Vote, Once a Generation already. Perhaps next time you’ll be ready to handle self rule without handing the country over to totalitarian caliphate-builders.
[AlAhram] President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi declared a nationwide state of emergency for three months starting Sunday, 27 October, 1am.

A presidential decree was published on Saturday in the state’s official gazette, according to which the measure was taken after consulting with the cabinet due to the "dangerous security state of the country."

The Armed Forces and the police shall take the necessary measures to counter terrorism, maintain security and protect citizens and properties, according to the decree.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly renewed the curfew in designated areas in North Sinai from Tel Rafah, east of the peninsula, to the international border at Rafah, and from Halal Mountain until Ouga on the border.

The curfew runs from 7pm to 6am, except in Arish city and on the international road, where it runs from 1am to 5am, or until further notice.

The Saturday gazette published the prime minister's decree No 2582/2019 which states that the prosecution shall refer crimes including those related to gathering, disruption of transportation, thuggery, price fixing, guns and ammunition, sanctity of places of worship, vandalism, and crimes related to the protest law and the anti-terrorism law to emergency state security courts.

The state of emergency was first declared in April 2017 following two suicide kabooms in churches in Alexandria and Gharbiya on Palm Sunday that killed 47 worshipers, and has been constantly renewed ever since.
