Ilhan Omar's daughter, Isra Hirsi, suspended from Barnard College for her involvement in anti-Israel protests
[NY Post] Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, revealed Thursday she has been suspended from Barnard College over her involvement in anti-Israel protests on Columbia University’s campus.

"I’m an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest @ColumbiaSJP, in my 3 years at @BarnardCollege I have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings," the 21-year-old wrote on X.

"I just received notice that I am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide."

Hirsi and the two other students — identified as Maryam Iqbal and Soph Dinu — received notice of their suspension from Barnard Dean, Leslie Grinage, first thing Thursday morning, the Apartheid Divest said in a statement.

"This decision is based on information received from Columbia University Public Safety that you have been involved in an unauthorized encampment on the Columbia University campus and you have not ceased participation in this unauthorized encampment despite repeated requests from Barnard and Columbia on April 17, 2024 that you do so," the dean’s email read, according to the student group.

O'Keefe Media Group Uncovers who is Really Running the White House – Special Advisor Reveals That Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton Are Still Involved Behind The Scenes! (VIDEO)
[Gateway] Tyler Robinson, a special advisor at the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), recently revealed to an O’Keefe Media Group undercover journalist the inner workings of the Biden Administration and who is really running the White House.

BLUF:

Robinson also revealed that Biden’s shadow cabinet of advisors, which includes Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. According to Robinson, Hillary Clinton is close to people in the White House, such as Director of the Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden, a former employee of Hillary Clinton, and uses them to influence policy. "She does a lot of the international stuff... They have like the Clinton Initiative," he added.

Recall that O’Keefe previously exposed another White House official who admitted that Joe Biden’s mental health is in decline and that there are closed-door discussions about how to remove Kamala Harris from the 2024 ticket without stirring a "scandal" and giving poor optics to the American people.

#5  Neera Tanden - key name in the "Supreme Soviet Central Committee" that actually runs the country:
"May 2023, the Whitehouse announced that Tanden would serve as President Biden’s domestic policy adviser. Tanden replaced former adviser Susan Rice who had recently vacated the post. President Biden told reporters that “Neera Tanden will continue to drive the formulation and implementation of my domestic policy, from economic mobility and racial equity to health care, immigration and education.” 43

"Politico has described Tanden as a “longtime Clinton confidante,”13 while Vox labeled her “one of the more liberal members of Clintonland.”14 Tanden, Politico wrote, “has spent the better part of two decades at Clinton’s side — first as a White House aide, then as a top staffer in her Senate office, later as policy director of the 2008 campaign.” 15 In fact, then-First Lady Hillary Clinton threw Tanden a wedding shower at the White House. 16

In October 2016, Tanden said, “I would do whatever Hillary needs always. I owe her a lot. And I’m a loyal soldier.”17

US reimposes oil sanctions against Venezuela over election concerns
[Aljazeera] Move in US election year could push up oil prices, but Washington says Maduro has not made promised electoral reforms.

The United States is reimposing sanctions on Venezuela’s vital oil sector over what it says is the government’s failure to adhere to democratic principles ahead of elections in July.

The administration of US President Joe Biden said it would not renew a licence that expired early on Thursday, and which had partially eased the punitive measures since October after a US-backed election deal was reached between the government and the Venezuelan opposition in Barbados.

Venezuelan Government And Opposition Meet In Barbados, Elias Ferrer, Oct 18, 2023
BARBADOS-VENEZUELA-POLITICS
Venezuela’s Plataforma Unitaria—the main opposition alliance—and government representatives met in Bridgetown, Barbados on Tuesday to negotiate, following a “memorandum of understanding” laid out in Mexico last year. The meeting was sponsored by two mediating governments, Mexico and Norway, and by the host, Barbados. Just last Friday, Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that the two parties were in contact again.
The deal between the opposition and the government comes straight after representatives of presidents Maduro and Biden met in Doha last month. The two negotiation processes go hand-in-hand, especially given that the US executive branch and Venezuela’s opposition have been working closely in the past.

Everything You Feared About TikTok Is True
[PJ] "I literally worked on a project that gave U.S. data to China," former TikTok senior data scientist Evan Turner revealed on Monday in a Fortune report. According to Turner, his efforts went far beyond what social media apps usually do, which is to upload every scrap of data they can get hold of to the parent company's servers.

"Every two weeks," the Spectator reported, "Turner emailed spreadsheets filled with data on hundreds of thousands of US users to [TikTok owner] ByteDance workers in Beijing."

"The driver’s licenses of American users were also accessible on the platform," the New York Times wrote last year, "as were some users’ potentially illegal content, such as child sexual abuse materials. In many cases, the information was available in Lark 'groups' — essentially chat rooms of employees — with thousands of members." Just to be clear, ByteDance is headquartered in Beijing and is closely knit with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Worse, if that's even possible, Turner said, "There were Americans that were working in upper management that were completely complicit in this."

After President Donald Trump's ultimately failed effort to ban TikTok, the company promised to establish independence from ByteDance. It would start using U.S.-based servers and stop sending all its data to Beijing. But Fortune also reported that according to Turner, "the stealth chain of command contradicted what TikTok’s executives had said about the company’s independence from ByteDance."

Believe it or not, this grown-up Cold War kid who despises Communist China every bit as much as I did the Soviet Union way back when is less concerned with the data ByteDance gives to the CCP than I am with TikTok's manipulation of kids. The thing to remember about the Western version of TikTok is that it's what I call social malware.

There's a reason Chaya Raichik's LibsOfTikTok has so much material to use. TikTok's algorithm is tweaked to highlight the weirdest, the worst, and the most divisive content — served up to young minds who assume that the weirdest, the worst, and the most divisive is normal. It's what they see, and it's what their friends see on social media.

Was Biden's Uncle Eaten By Cannibals?
[Hot Air] Seems unlikely, given that his plane went down into the water. But that's Joe Biden's story and he is sticking to it.

First the facts: Joe Biden twice told the story of his uncle Ambrose, who volunteered during World War II and was lost at sea when his airplane crashed for unknown reasons into the ocean new New Guinea. New Guinea at the time did indeed have cannibal tribes.

Do these facts match up with Biden's tale? You be the judge.

So, "Uncle Bosey" did indeed exist and he did crash his airplane in the general region of New Guinea, although it was offshore. The plane was not single-engine (so what? Even I wouldn't remember the type of plane after decades), and one out of the four on the plane was recovered.

Nobody shot down the airplane. The engines failed for some reason.

Brian Krassenstein, a Biden shill, tried to save his butt by claiming the story was factual, but even his rewriting of the facts makes Biden out to be a fabulist.

Consequences: Google fires 28 employees who staged anti-Israel protests at company offices
Follow up to this story from yesterday.
[IsraelTimes] Demonstrations opposing business with Israeli government and led by No Tech for Apartheid group included 10-hour sit-ins at offices in New York and California; 9 people arrested

Google said Wednesday it fired 28 employees who staged a sit-in and protests in company offices the previous day to demand the tech giant end its business dealings with the Israeli government.

In a statement following media reports of the development, Google only mentioned that it had terminated the employees for violating company policies — without mentioning the nature of the protests.

Protesters demonstrated on Tuesday at Google offices in several locations, while in New York and California, they held a 10-hour sit-in. Demonstrators held signs saying "No more genocide for profit," "No cloud for apartheid," and "Googlers against genocide."

Many of the protesters wore masks and Palestinian headscarves. Nine people were arrested for trespassing during the protests.

They were organized by the No Tech for Apartheid organization, which posted images of the events on social media.

The protests aimed to demonstrate opposition to Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion project with Amazon.com Inc. to supply artificial intelligence and cloud services for the Israeli government.

The rallies came against the background of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip that started when the Palestinian terror group Hamas led a devastating October 7 cross-border attack on Israel that killed 1,200 people and took 253 hostages.

Among the locations targeted by the Google demonstrators was the sixth floor of the company’s Sunnyvale bureau where Google’s Cloud chief executive officer Thomas Kurian has his office.

"Physically impeding other employees’ work and preventing them from accessing our facilities is a clear violation of our policies, and completely unacceptable behavior," Google said in a statement. "After refusing multiple requests to leave the premises, law enforcement was engaged to remove them to ensure office safety."

"We have so far concluded individual investigations that resulted in the termination of employment for 28 employees, and will continue to investigate and take action as needed."

Protests were held in Google offices in New York City, Seattle, and Sunnyvale in California, Bloomberg reported.

Google vice president of global security Chris Rackow sent a companywide memo, obtained by the New York Post, that said "They took over office spaces, defaced our property, and physically impeded the work of other Googlers. Their behavior was unacceptable, extremely disruptive, and made co-workers feel threatened."

"Behavior like this has no place in our workplace and we will not tolerate it," Rackow wrote. "It clearly violates multiple policies that all employees must adhere to — including our code of conduct and policy on harassment, discrimination, retaliation, standards of conduct, and workplace concerns."

The fired workers said in a statement reported by the Post, "This evening, Google indiscriminately fired 28 workers, including those among us who did not directly participate in yesterday’s historic, bicoastal 10-hour sit-in protests."

"This flagrant act of retaliation is a clear indication that Google values its $1.2 billion contract with the genocidal Israeli government and military more than its own workers — the ones who create real value for executives and shareholders."

"Sundar Pichai and Thomas Kurian are genocide profiteers," the statement added, referring also to Google’s CEO.

"We cannot comprehend how these men are able to sleep at night while their tech has enabled 100,000 Palestinians killed, reported missing, or wounded in the last six months of Israel’s genocide — and counting," the fired worker said.
100,000? Clearly the maffs be hard
A spokesperson for the New York Police Department told the Post that about 50 people were involved in the protest in that city and that "four arrests were made for trespassing inside the Google building."

The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said that around 80 people were involved in the protest there and that five who refused to leave the Google office were "arrested without incident for criminal trespassing," booked, and then released.

One worker claimed to Bloomberg that protesters did not violate company policies and had left the building when they were asked to without causing any disruption.

A worker told Bloomberg that in the wake of the demonstrations, there was debate on Google’s internal forums between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel supporters while others argued the topic was not suitable for the workplace. Moderators eventually locked down some of the threats, the employee said.

In March, Google fired an employee after he interrupted a speech by the tech firm’s managing director in Israel with pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel declarations during a conference in New York City.

Again I pose the questions.

These Liberal Minions do understand they were protesting the support of a TERRORIST Group with 10's of 1000's of confirmed civilian murders and rapes to its self proclaimed credit?

A terrorist group that would quickly murder these minions for what these minions consider common civilized world everyday social activities?

A Genocidal agenda, Religious Terrorist Hate group that treats women as cattle to birth their kids, cook for them and has a history of on the spot slaughter LGBT?'s?

Maybe Google will offer these protesting minions a transfer to IRAN or a tunnel located field office?

MTG wants members of Congress who vote "in favor" to pull on boots and head to Ukraine
[Breitbart] Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced an amendment to a supplemental funding bill for Ukraine that would require members of Congress who vote "in favor" to enlist in the Ukrainian military.

Greene’s amendment comes as House Republicans released the legislative text regarding four bills wrapped into one, according to CBS News.

Under the three bills, $26.4 billion would be sent to Israel, $60.8 billion would go to Ukraine, and $8.1 billion would go to countering the threat of China in the Indo-Pacific and providing foreign aid to Taiwan.

A fourth bill focuses on providing other defense measures to "strengthen" the "national security" of the United States.

"Any Member of Congress who votes in favor of this Act shall be required to conscript in the Ukrainian military," the amendment to the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act 2024 reads.

‘Blood Money' Author Peter Schweizer Dismisses Sincerity of Biden's China Tariff Tough Talk
[Breitbart] Peter Schweizer, the author of Blood Money: Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans, dismissed President Joe Biden’s plan to call for raising tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum during a campaign speech to American steelworkers in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

"Joe Biden has given Beijing pretty much everything they want for three and a half years. China knows that Biden has to sometimes take aim at them. But Beijing regards his policies broadly as being highly favorable to them. They call this, ’Big help with a little bad mouth,'" Schweizer said in an exclusive quote to Breitbart News.

Biden, during a campaign stop speaking to the United Steelworkers union in Pennsylvania — a critical 2024 battleground state, will reportedly call on his United States Trade Representative, Katherine Tai, to triple the existing 7.5 percent tariff rates on steel and aluminum from China, amid labor unions’ concerns about Chinese competition and the future of the U.S. steel industry.

As the Democrat presidential candidate in 2020, Biden had previously opposed tariffs on Chinese imports when former President Donald Trump had imposed them, and said he would remove them, according to Forbes.

"Would you keep the tariffs?" Biden was asked.

"No. Hey, look," Biden responded. "Who said Trump’s idea is a good one?" before adding, "We’re going after China the wrong way."

Here Are the Seven Jurors Chosen So Far in Donald Trump's NYC Trial
[PJ] Because he was the first juror to be selected, Juror #1 is the jury foreman which is the way they do it in New York. Juror #1 was originally from Ireland and now lives in West Harlem. He's married to a woman who goes to school. They have no kids. He waited tables and is now a salesman. He didn't graduate from college but attended. He likes the outdoors. His media choices include the New York Times and Daily Mail, and he watches MSNBC and Fox News. Sure. Jurors are anonymous and identified only by number. His jury number is B400.

Juror #2 is considered by some court watchers to be a problem for Trump. She's a born and raised New Yorker, lives on the Upper East Side, and works as an oncology nurse. She claims, "I don't really have" an opinion on Trump but told the court she will do her "civil duty" to be on the jury. She told the court that "he will be treated as anyone else can be treated and no one is above the law." This masters-holding individual does not understand that she's being interviewed for a jury gig because Trump is not being treated equally. Oy.

Juror #2's live-in boyfriend works on Wall Street. She has no kids but loves spending time with "family and friends" and walking her dog. She reads the New York Times and Google, so her idea of Trump is that of a Russian spy with horns. Has the New York Times ever apologized for Hillary's fake Russia scandal that her friends in the CIA initiated, and the FBI, DOJ, and White House carried out for her in the 2016 election? Economy
Food Is Now An Investment – Here's Why Inflation Isn't Going Away Anytime Soon
[Alt-Market] One of the more difficult aspects of working in economic analysis is the problem of rampant disinformation that you have to dig through in order to get to the truth of any particular issue. In this regard, economics is very similar to politics. The propaganda is endless and debunking it sometimes feels like moving a mountain with a teaspoon.

Establishment media sources lie incessantly about our financial conditions, and when they are finally cornered and forced to admit how bad things are, they then lie about the causes. That said, I find that these lies are usually designed to do one of two things: Over-complicate the problem so that people give up thinking about it, or, distract from the problem so that people blame a scapegoat.

As for inflation, here is the bottom line:

Central Banks And The Fiat Flood

Rising prices are caused by two main drivers. The first is money creation, or too many dollars chasing too few goods. Central banks around the world have been FLOODING the system with fiat currency ever since the debt crisis of 2008 and the Federal Reserve within the US is the worst violator by far. We are talking about tens of trillions (or more) in money creation, all supposedly as a means to stall or prevent a deflationary crash.

By the time the pandemic lockdowns were initiated and the Fed dropped $8 trillion+ onto the economy through stimulus measures like covid checks and PPP loans, the total US money supply was already at destructive levels. The covid stimulus was simply the straw that broke the camel’s back. So, if you want to know who is directly to blame for your daily expenses rising 30% or more in the span of three years, the first set of criminals are the central bankers.

Governments and certain corporate partners are also to blame, but the central banks are the root mechanism for all inflationary movements. It’s my belief (according to the evidence) that central banks have deliberately triggered a stagflationary crisis with the intent to forcefully replace cash based economies with a new digital and cashless global economy. However, that’s a discussion for another article...

The terrorist liquidated in Moscow lived a 20-minute walk from the synagogue
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The terrorist who was preparing an attack on a Moscow synagogue rented an apartment not far from the religious building. According to RIA Novosti, the man lived on the top floor of a 22-story panel building in the Otradny district.

It is two kilometers from the synagogue; you can walk to it in 20 minutes or drive in four minutes.

The apartment is now sealed by law enforcement agencies. You can't get into it.

According to residents of the high-rise building, the man behaved quietly, without attracting the attention of neighbors.

As Regnum reported, the FSB stopped the activities of a native of one of the countries of Central Asia, who was planning a terrorist attack on a religious Jewish institution in Moscow. The would-be terrorist was eliminated during his arrest on April 10. He offered armed resistance.

Security forces established that a foreigner born in 2002, while serving a sentence in a colony in his homeland, established contact with persons convicted of participating in terrorist activities, under whose influence he began to share the ideology of an international terrorist organization banned in Russia.

After his release, in November 2023, the man came to Moscow and began preparing for a terrorist attack in the synagogue. During a search of his home, it turned out that the man kept a bomb of his own making in the apartment, under the mattress.
Sounds uncomfortable…

Details of the liquidation of a terrorist near a synagogue in Moscow have become known

FSB officers eliminated someone who was preparing a terrorist attack near the synagogue of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia “Darkei Shalom” in the Moscow district of Otradnoye. The head of this religious community, Rabbi Dovid Karpov, spoke about this on April 17.

“I was told by friends that the detention (of a terrorist preparing a terrorist attack in one of the synagogues in Moscow, as reported by the FSB on April 11 - Ed.) took place on Berezovaya Alley,” he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the rabbi, law enforcement officers came to the synagogue, asked questions, carried out operational actions and were interested in CCTV cameras, but he was not there at the time, and they communicated with the security.

As a representative of the security service said, security forces came to the religious institution before the publication of reports about the liquidation of the terrorist. He noted that during the prevention of a terrorist attack in the capital’s synagogue in March, the terrorists were found to have a map with a dot marking this synagogue.

This time, law enforcement officers did not report preparations for a terrorist attack against the synagogue, the security representative clarified, noting that, in his opinion, this was not necessary.

As Regnum reported, on April 10, the FSB stopped the activities of a native of one of the Central Asian states, who was planning a terrorist attack on a religious Jewish institution in Moscow. The man resisted arrest and was eliminated.

On April 12, the FSB published a video from the home of someone preparing a terrorist attack in the capital’s synagogue. A native of Central Asia kept a homemade bomb in his apartment under his mattress. A man born in 2002 came to Moscow in November 2023, where he began preparing for a terrorist attack.

On April 11, FSB officers also stopped the activities of a terrorist cell that was planning a terrorist attack on a Russian army facility in Donetsk. The group included six citizens of one of the Central Asian countries.

Democrats KILL Alejandro Mayorkas' impeachment
[MAIL] Democratic Senators have dismissed both impeachment charges against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and blocked a historic trial over his role the border crisis.

President Biden's border chief escaped an investigation and first impeachment of a cabinet secretary in 150 years after the Senate voted along party lines to kill both articles.

Republicans claimed their rivals were trying to 'set the Constitution ablaze' and break '200 years of precedent' by shutting down the trial before it had even began.

The GOP says Mayorkas is to blame for the historic surge in migrants crossing the southern border and claim his policies show the dire situation is intentional.

It is a victory for the White House who have called the impeachment a sham, and an embarrassing defeat for House Republicans who have also stalled in their investigation into President Biden.

In Ukraine, the Russian strike on a hotel with Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in Chernigov was considered a jewel.

There were Ukrainian soldiers in a hotel in Chernigov that came under attack by Russian troops. As military correspondent Alexander Kots said on April 17, the accuracy of the strike could not be ignored even in Ukraine itself.

“While the Ukrainian media howl about a treacherous attack on a peaceful hotel, KGB agents represented by the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the Square are publishing objective control. And in it, in the windows of a broken “peaceful” hotel, army bunk beds are clearly visible,” he wrote in the Telegram channel.

According to the military commander, the hotel has been officially closed since February 2022, but there is a military unit next to it, and clusters of Ukrainian Armed Forces have often been seen in the area.

As Regnum reported, on the same day it became known that the Russian military had struck a command post of Ukrainian troops located in Chernigov. According to information at that time, the point was destroyed, but there was no official confirmation.

Later, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Mosiychuk (an individual included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation) reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered losses in killed and wounded when they struck a hotel building in the center of Chernigov, in which Ukrainian military personnel were located. According to him, at the moment no one will report the exact number of losses of the Ukrainian army.

After this, the media stated that as a result of a strike on the command post of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a hotel in Chernigov, Lieutenant General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, commander of the North group of troops, Dmitry Krasilnikov, was allegedly killed. At the time of the strike on the facility, a meeting was taking place there with his participation; there is no official information about his death. There is also no official confirmation from the Russian Ministry of Defense about the strike.

The author of scandalous posts about Crocus, Konashenko, was added to the register of terrorists
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The author of scandalous posts about the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, Nikolai Konashenko, was added to the list of terrorists and extremists. This became known on April 17.

“List of terrorists and extremists. Konashenok Nikolay Vladimirovich, born July 17, 1982, Leningrad,” reports the Rosfinmonitoring website.

Konashenko’s posts caused a public outcry and were removed from social networks. According to the investigation materials, he was detained at Pulkovo airport, presumably while trying to leave the country. After the arrest, the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs distributed a video with an apology from Konashenko, who admitted that he does not support terrorism.

As Regnum reported, terrorists broke into Crocus on March 22, started shooting people and started arson. As a result, 145 people were killed, including six children, and 550 people were injured. In connection with the terrorist attack, 11 people were arrested, including four direct perpetrators, detained near the border with Ukraine in the Bryansk region. On March 24, the Basmanny Court remanded the perpetrators in custody until May 22.

Those involved in the case were also included in the list of terrorists and extremists. Thus, a court in Tver arrested a man who fictitiously registered two of them in his house - brothers Aminchon Islomov (an individual included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists) and Dilovar Islomov (an individual included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists). The accused admitted his guilt in full.

Security Council to vote on Palestinian UN membership on Friday
[GEO.TV] The United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
Security Council has scheduled the vote in the 15-member council for Friday on a draft resolution put forth by Algeria seeking membership for the State of Paleostine, Rooters quoted diplomats as saying.

The voting is set to happen at 3pm (19:00 GMT).

The draft resolution tabled by Algeria recommends to the 193-member UN General Assembly that "the State of Paleostine be admitted to membership of the United Nations", diplomats said.

The resolution needs at least nine votes in favour to pass the Security Council and no vetoes from the US, Britannia, La Belle France, Russia or China. Diplomats told Rooters the measure could have the support of up to 13 council members, but the US is expected to block the effort because it would effectively recognise a Paleostinian state.

The US, Israel’s top ally, has long maintained that establishing an independent Paleostinian state should happen through direct negotiations between the Paleostinians and Israel and not at the UN.

Paleostinians are currently a non-member observer state at the UN.

The withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Karabakh has begun

Russia has begun withdrawing peacekeepers from the zone of the former Karabakh conflict, Putin’s press secretary said.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on October 9, 2023, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that against the backdrop of the closure of peacekeeper observation posts, 25 guard posts were set up to guard weapons seized in Karabakh, including 14 posts jointly with the Azerbaijani military. On the same day, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the activities of the peacekeepers would be adapted against the backdrop of the mass exodus of Karabakh residents from the region. The continued presence of peacekeepers in the region is contrary to the interests of Baku, Azerbaijani analysts pointed out.

The presence of peacekeepers in the region until 2025 is provided for by the 2020 trilateral agreement, although their functions may be adjusted, Russian analysts interviewed by the Caucasian Knot indicated in September.

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed information about the beginning of the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Karabakh. “Yes, this is really so,” Kommersant quotes him as saying today.

Late in the evening of April 16, the Azerbaijani publication Oxu.az reported that the Russian peacekeeping contingent was leaving Azerbaijan. In particular, a convoy of Russian equipment passed through the Tartar and Barda regions, the publication says.

The Armenian publication News.am also reported the beginning of a phased withdrawal of peacekeepers, citing diplomatic sources.

How Biden's niece can get bank loan, now. Video at link
[GatewayPundit] A woman brought a 68-year-old man who was dead, in a wheelchair, to a bank branch to try to take out a loan in his name. The bizarre incident occurred on Tuesday, April 16, at a bank branch in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

She conducted the conversation on behalf of the deceased man and raised suspicions among those present. Identified as Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, she was taken to the police station, where she claimed to be the niece and caregiver of the elderly man.

Vieira Nunes’s behavior caught the attention of bank employees, who began filming the dialogue she had with her uncle, who did not respond to her commands. She asked the Biden corpse to sign a paper authorizing the bank to lend him approximately $3,200.

In the "conversation" she asked the supposed relative:

"Uncle, are you listening? You need to sign, sir. If you don’t sign, there’s no way. I can’t sign for you, what I can do, I’ll do".

The police were called to the scene, where they arrested Erika de Souza (Jill Biden?) for the crimes of fraud and desecration of a corpse and she could be sentenced to up to 7 years in prison.

Missouri Files Injunction To Block Biden's 'Illegal Student Loan Plan' While Lawsuit Plays Out
[ZERO] Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced on Wednesday that the state has filed for a temporary restraining order (TRO) to block the Biden administration's "illegal student loan plan," referred to by a coalition of states as "Plan B," which was implemented shortly after a previous attempt ("Plan A") was deemed illegal by the Supreme Court.

"Plan B" aims to forgive student loans under different statutory provisions, but faces similar legal challenges as plan A - primarily surrounding the authority to enact such broad debt cancellation without clear congressional authorization.

"From the moment the Supreme Court ruled in Biden v. Nebraska, President Biden made clear he would ’stop at nothing’ to evade the decision," reads the TRO request. "Although the challenged rule, by its own text, was not supposed to take effect until this July, Defendants decided to start implementing it early and have already illegally cancelled billions of dollars in loans."

"Defendants make almost no attempt to meaningfully distinguish their Plan B from their patently unlawful Plan A," the filing continues.

Daily Mail: billionaire Haub, declared dead, lives with his mistress in Moscow
Direct Translation via Google Translate.

Wait'll the missus finds out...

[Regnum] Journalists have discovered German-American billionaire Karl-Erivan Haub,
..American-born German-Russian billionaire businessman, according to Wikipedia. He was managing director and part owner of Tengelmann Group, following the death of his father, the previous CEO. His younger brother took over after his disappearance…
who was presumed dead in 2018 while skiing in the Alps. It turned out that he lives with a mistress named Veronica in Moscow, the Daily Mail newspaper announced on April 17.

According to the publication, three days before his disappearance, Haub called his mistress, who is 20 years younger than him, and one of the conversations lasted about an hour. The publication suggests that the businessman planned to fake his death and flee to Russia with the help of his passion.

The investigation revealed that the billionaire's mistress ran an agency in St. Petersburg that provided ski, hiking and mountaineering excursions. Journalists also considered that she allegedly has connections with the FSB, admitting that there is no evidence of this.

Haub was reportedly dating Veronica before his disappearance. In May 2009, they were traveling on the same train from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Both were in different compartments, but the train tickets were purchased and booked by the same person at the same time.

Haub owned the Tengelmann Group holding, which controls retail companies and distribution networks, including the OBI chain of construction stores. He disappeared in April 2018 in the Alps on the border of Italy and Switzerland after going skiing. Relatives organized a search, which led nowhere.

In May 2023, the German publication Stern reported that a man bearing a strong resemblance to Haub was captured on CCTV in Moscow. It was part of the OBI hypermarket. Biometric analysis of the image showed a 90 percent similarity to the businessman.

Zakhaova: Russia did not receive an invitation to the anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Russian side did not receive invitations through diplomatic channels to the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy in June 1944. Official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova announced this on April 17on Sputnik radio.
One was sent to Vyacheslav Molotov?
The diplomat explained that on the evening of April 16, the Foreign Ministry contacted the Russian Ambassador to France, Alexei Meshkov, regarding relevant reports in the French media.

“So far, I’m talking about the situation as of this morning, there has been no confirmation of this through diplomatic channels,” she said.

As Regnum reported, on April 16, France-Presse, citing the organizers of the event, the Mission Libération company, reported that the Russian delegation was invited to celebrate the anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy during World War II. It was noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin “given the circumstances” was not invited to the ceremony.

Earlier on the same day, French media reported the intention of the country's authorities to invite the Russian delegation to the celebratory events marking the 80th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy. According to radio station Europe 1, it will be difficult to do without Russia at the celebration, despite the difficult geopolitical situation.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on April 16 that Moscow has not yet received an invitation from France to the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy.

The landing of the military of the United States, Britain, Canada and their allies on the territory of France occupied by the Nazi army (Operation Neptune) took place in Normandy during the Second World War on June 6, 1944. Soviet troops did not directly participate in it, but the USSR made it possible through its military actions, paying the highest price for it during the Second World War.

Republican senator makes new push to defund NPR as whistleblower editor resigns
[NYPOST] Sen. Marsha Blackburn wants to end federal funding for National Public Radio after the resignation of a veteran editor following his suspension for publicly accused the outlet of espousing liberal bias.

“The mainstream media has become obsessed with doing the Left’s bidding and taking down strong conservatives — and NPR has led the pack,” Blackburn (R-Tenn.) told Fox News Digital in an interview published Wednesday.

“It makes no sense that the American people are forced to fund a propagandist left-wing outlet that refuses to represent the voices of half the country. NPR should not receive our tax dollars.”

Uri Berliner announced on social media Wednesday morning that he was leaving NPR, where he had worked for 25 years covering business news.

“I don’t support calls to defund NPR,” Berliner’s resignation statement read. “I respect the integrity of my colleagues and wish for NPR to thrive and do important journalism.

#7  I don’t think there is much federal direct funding of NPR - maybe 10%.

True. One of NPR's talking points is that they are listener funded. The way that works is the FedGov gives money to universities and such that then send it on to NPR. If you or I did that, we'd get called for money laundering. But it does make the numbers come out nice.

And let's not forget corporate sponsorship. The other day I heard an NPR commercial for MathWorks - Makers of MATLAB and Simulink software. These are high-end numerical computing packages which are probably *not* of interest to the average NPR drive-time listener who wouldn't know a spreadsheet if it bit them on the ass.

Red alert in UAE: Residents urged to stay home as unprecedented rains paralyse life
[GEO.TV] The United Arab Emirates witnessed record-breaking and highest levels of rainfall for the first time in 75 years with even Dubai flooding under rainwater.

After the unprecedented weather phenomenon, UAE's National Centre of Meteorology issued a red alert, urging residents to remain vigilant as weather conditions continued to get severe.

While the rain has stopped in UAE states for the last eight hours, the government has issued instructions urging people to stay at home.

Dubai's leadership has ordered immediate measures in the city amid rain emergency during a meeting with the crisis and disaster management team.

As per media reports, Dubai experienced record rainfall of two years in just one day.

The sanitary staff in the Gulf country is busy draining rainwater from the roads. In Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other states, efforts are underway to remove the water accumulated on the roads.

Reports were received regrading an Emirati citizen being swept away in floodwater in Ras Al Khaima.

Al Ain, a region known as 'Khatm Al Shakla', witnessed an astonishing 254.8mm of rainfall in less than 24 hours, as reported by meteorological authorities.

Thunderstorms and lightning strikes persisted throughout the night, intensifying the downpour that continued into Wednesday.

Forecasters predicted the ongoing unstable weather patterns from Tuesday through Thursday, driven by a prolonged "low surface pressure" system and two waves of turbulent weather sweeping across the UAE.

Zalina Marshenkulova put on the federal wanted list
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Investigators have put Zalina Marshenkulova, a journalist from Kabardino-Balkaria, on the federal wanted list, accused in absentia of publicly justifying terrorism.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on April 10, the investigation reported a criminal case against journalist and activist from Kabardino-Balkaria Zalina Marshenkulova under the article on public justification of terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The reason for the criminal case was her publications in the telegram channel, Marshenkulova will be put on the wanted list, the Sledkom said.

Zalina Marshenkulova, who lives in Germany, considered the charges against her for justifying terrorism absurd and linked the persecution with her political position. The journalist’s criminal case is not related to her participation in defending women’s rights in Kabardino-Balkaria, human rights activists interviewed by the Caucasian Knot indicated.

Zalina Marshenkulova has been put on the federal wanted list, Kommersant reports today with reference to the database of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Let us recall that some sources claimed that the reason for the persecution of Marshenkulova was statements about the death of blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, who died in an explosion in a cafe in St. Petersburg on April 2, 2023. However, according to the investigation, Zalina Marshenkulova published “a number of publications on the justification of terrorism” on Telegram “no later than March 3, 2023,” that is, a month before Tatarsky’s death.

On April 11, a court in Moscow upheld the order for an “urgent search” in the case of Zalina Marshenkulova. By this time, security forces had already conducted a search in her former Moscow apartment, where Marshenkulova had not lived for at least a year.

Zalina Marshenkulova contacted the police in 2020 because of threats she received on behalf of the “For the Good of the Common People” community. According to Marshenkulova, she was threatened on social networks after she wrote a post in support of the actresses from the video of the lead singer of the band Rammstein. The investigation refused to investigate Marshenkulova’s threats.

Russia tried to kill Budanov at least 10 times
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] The Washington Post wrote how many assassination attempts Budanov survived.

Friends of the head of Ukrainian military intelligence are worried about his lack of a “good risk assessment.”

Russia tried to kill Budanov at least 10 times. These attacks included two missile attacks on the headquarters of the Main Intelligence Directorate, which is called "The Island". American journalist and assistant editor of The Washington Post David Ignatius wrote about this on Wednesday, April 17.

“In 2023, a warrant was issued in Moscow for the arrest of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, based on the attack on the Crimean Bridge. In November last year, it became known that Budanov’s wife Marianna was poisoned with heavy metals,” writes Ignatius.

At the same time, he emphasizes that Budanov “does not look embarrassed,” and even “enjoys the danger.”

Some friends of the GUR chairman believe that he may be reckless.

“Kirill has achieved so much success in many risks that he does not have a good risk assessment,” an unnamed friend of Budanov explained to the journalist.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, knows who is behind the poisoning of his wife Marianna.

We would like to remind you that the head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk reported that the Security Service of Ukraine managed to prevent the murder of the head of the Kherson Police Department, Alexander Prokudin.

FSB: bomb components for the assassination attempt on Prozorov were transported in manicure tools
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Special services officers detained a citizen of Russia and Moldova who brought explosives to Russia, which were later used to blow up the car of former Security Service of Ukraine employee Vasily Prozorov. The FSB reported this on April 17.

“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation detained a citizen of Russia and Moldova, born in 1994, who, as a courier, delivered components of a radio-controlled explosive device to Russia from abroad,” the department’s press service said in a statement.

According to the FSB, the Ukrainian special services hid the explosive components in manicure tools and hair care products.

The parcel with dangerous cargo was transferred from Warsaw to then be delivered by a private transport company. The courier received the cargo in Lithuania and brought it by car to Moscow, where he handed it over to an SBU agent.

As Regnum reported, Moscow operational services reported on April 12 an explosion of a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV on Korovinskoye Highway. The owner of the car turned out to be former SBU lieutenant colonel Vasily Prozorov, who blew himself up when the ignition was turned on.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case. The FSB classified the attack as attempted murder in a generally dangerous manner. Prozorov is sure that the attempt on his life was committed by terrorists of the Kiev regime.

On April 16, law enforcement officers detained a Ukrainian agent who blew up Prozorov’s car. He turned out to be a Russian citizen born in 1983, who, according to his admission, lived in Ukraine for 14 years.

During interrogation, the detainee said that the SBU recruited him in November 2023, and in February, the curator told the man that he was personally assigned the task by the head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring) - to monitor Prozorov’s car in Moscow. After this, the agent was tasked with assembling an explosive device and attaching it to the bottom of the car.

Prozorov has been collaborating with Russian intelligence services since 2014 and moved from Ukraine to Russia several years ago. After the assassination attempt, he expressed confidence that this action was carried out on instructions from Kiev. The former SBU officer assured that he will continue to expose the crimes of the Ukrainian authorities.

Mars helicopter Ingenuity sends last message to Earth
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Mars helicopter Ingenuity has sent its final message to Earth before it becomes a test bed on the surface of the Red Planet. The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced this on its website on April 16.

It is noted that the engineers who worked on the creation of Ingenuity gathered for the last time on April 16 in the control room of the agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California in order to monitor the receipt of data from the helicopter.

The aircraft continued to communicate with its base station, NASA's Perseverance rover, despite the end of its mission in January 2024. The helicopter will then be used as a stationary test bed for data collection, which should benefit Mars explorers in the future.

As Regnum reported, on January 21, NASA announced the loss of contact with the Martian helicopter Ingenuity. The aircraft conducted its 72nd flight over the surface of Mars on January 18 and during its approach lost contact with the Perseverance rover. Later, communication with the helicopter was restored. The resulting images showed that the helicopter had one or more rotor blades damaged.

NASA announced on January 24 that the damaged Ingenuity completed its mission on Mars. It was noted that he carried out several dozen more flights than originally planned. The Ingenuity helicopter spent more than 1,000 Martian days on the surface of the Red Planet, making 72 flights.

Raisi: Iran's strike was aimed at containing Israel
To be fair, they have to try. Israel’s nukes work.
Iran struck Israel to contain it and also in response to the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said on April 17, speaking in Tehran on the occasion of National Army Day. This was reported by Press TV.

“If the Zionist regime commits the slightest act of aggression on our soil, it will receive a violent and severe response,” he added.

Raisi emphasized that Iran's strike was incomplete and limited in nature. He also condemned countries seeking to normalize relations with Israel. The President called on Middle Eastern countries to rely on their resources and on cooperation with Muslim countries.

As Regnum reported, Iran launched a massive attack on Israel on the night of April 14, launching more than 200 missiles and drones. This was a response to the attack on the Iranian Consulate General in Damascus, which the Israeli Air Force carried out on April 1, killing, among other things, two generals of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to the Financial Times, Israel spent more than $1 billion to repel Iran's attack.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov on April 17, commenting on the deterioration of Iranian-Israeli relations, said that Moscow is in contact with both sides. He stressed that the Kremlin is calling on Israel and Iran to de-escalate the conflict.

Media: Israel spent more than $1 billion to repel Iranian attack
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] To repel a massive Iranian attack, Israel spent more than one billion dollars. This was reported by the Financial Times, citing a former Israeli military official.
As has been commented in these pages, it’s much cheaper to let them murder you all. But one can’t really, donchaknow,
“The official estimated the cost of Saturday’s defense at more than $1 billion in materials wasted,” the authors noted.

It was noted that this amount did not include the costs of the USA, France and Great Britain for sending aircraft.

Earlier, the ex-adviser of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on finance, Brigadier General of the Reserve Ram Aminah, said that repelling hundreds of Iranian missiles and drones with an air defense system could cost Israel up to $1.3 billion overnight. He added that this amount significantly exceeds what Iran itself paid for the attack.

As Regnum reported, on April 1, the Israeli Air Force launched a missile attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus. Among the victims of the attack were two generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran - Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Haji.

In response to this attack, Iran launched a massive attack on Israel on the night of April 13-14, using more than 200 missiles and attack drones.

The Iranian state television channel Press TV reported on April 15 that all hypersonic missiles used in the attack on Israel successfully overcame Israeli air defenses and hit their intended targets. Before this, the TV channel clarified that Iran used at least seven hypersonic missiles during attacks on Israel.

In turn, the press service of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the US military, with the support of US European Command destroyers, repelled a large-scale attack on Israel from Iran and Yemen and shot down over 80 drones and at least six ballistic missiles. They also destroyed a launcher and seven drones in the Houthi-controlled part of Yemen.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised on April 15 that Israel would respond to this attack. He noted that the Jewish state would not give in to emotions and would act “wisely.”

On the same day, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that Tehran warned the United States of its tough reaction if Israel decides to carry out a new attack in response to Iran's recent attack on Israeli territory.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani said on April 16 that in the event of a response to Tehran's strike, Israel would receive retaliatory measures in seconds, and not in 12 days. He clarified that the Israeli side would face a much stronger blow in this case.

Sydney massacre. Why did quiet Australia decide to get knives?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Ol'ga Kuznetsova

[REGNUM] The English word stabbing sounds less ominous than the Russian "massacre" or "stabbing", and is usually used in the crime section - but not in the last few days, when the word has dotted the front pages of the English-language (especially Australian) press.

First, in connection with the story of Sydney's Westfield Bondi Junction shopping center, where an unknown person with a mental disorder attacked customers with a knife, killing six and injuring eight more (including a nine-month-old girl).
The Daily Mail gives it as Sydney's Bondi Junction Westfield. The killer was identified by police as Joel Cauchi, 40, who’d been diagnosed as mentally ill at age 17, and was most recently living rough.
Then - less than two days later, and also in the suburbs of Sydney - because of a new case with an attempt on the life of a priest of the Assyrian Church of the East.
Down in Australia that’s being reported as Assyrian Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was preaching at Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley in Sydney's west
At the same time, even against the backdrop of the first incident, materials immediately began to appear in the Western media that the massacre in the shopping center had yet to be rethought by the whole of Australia, the basic sense of security of the inhabitants of which is now in great question.

It’s not that the author of these lines is inclined to exaggerate the significance of what was said by American columnists, but alas. This seems to be true.

"COMPLETELY INSANE"
The massacre in the shopping center took place in the backdrop of a prosperous area, home to the local Jewish community, as well as emigrants from the post-Soviet (and even “post-imperial”) space. People from all over Sydney came here on weekends, not only for shopping, but also to stop for a cool drink before going to the nearby beach.

Mass murders - unlike in the USA - are a novelty for Sydney and Australia in general. So is the terrorist threat. Almost no one is ready for them - especially security in shopping centers, which after last Saturday began to be called with contempt “fiction.” And even the police officer, who was the only one who happened to be near the scene of the tragedy and shot the killer, did not save the situation much.

Later, witnesses said that the criminal was “completely insane,” as if he was under the influence of some kind of drug and, according to some, sought to kill women. One of the customers with a nine-month-old child was the first to be stabbed. The girl was saved; her mother died in the hospital.

However, the situation could have been worse.

One of the visitors found the strength to block the killer’s path to the top floor, where the playrooms for children were located.

Users of social networks, who were following the situation almost online, immediately began to put forward their versions of what happened.

Focusing primarily on visual factors, as well as on the world agenda, to which the terrorist organization “Islamic State” (banned in the Russian Federation) was recently returned, Islamic terrorists immediately began to be suspected of what happened, and a native of the Middle East began to suspect the tanned and bearded criminal. East.

The police did not reassure public opinion much: at first they said that what happened could well be a terrorist attack, then they said that “nothing indicates a motive for terrorism,” but added that “the investigation will continue for many days” and it is too early to say, what was really behind the attack.

They chose not to reveal the identity of the criminal; they only released information that he had never been under the surveillance of counter-terrorism agencies. But he came to the attention of the police, where he remained in the database of people with mental disorders.

SEVERED FINGERS
Not everyone had time to take the flowers to the memorial when another attack happened - this time not in a well-known area of Sydney, but during an evening service in the Assyrian Church of the East, which was led by a priest popular in local conservative circles, who has repeatedly criticized the globalist agenda and especially LGBT (an extremist movement banned in the Russian Federation).

There were no casualties in this story - the knife did not open completely, and the priest did not receive critical injuries, although the risk was very high: the attacker was aiming for the face and neck.

Several parishioners were also slightly injured as they tried to restrain the criminal, who was shouting “Allahu Akbar” with all his might and trying to speak Arabic. In particular, the criminal smiled idiotically and with a crazy face said that he attacked the priest because he allegedly “insulted the Prophet and his faith.”

In fact, it turned out that the “defender of the faith” is 15–16 years old, he speaks Arabic with great difficulty and his native language is English, and he only recently accepted Islam.
Information not found elsewhere. Thank you, Ms Kuznetsova.
Nevertheless, he almost provoked mass pogroms among the parishioners of the Assyrian Church who wanted to teach him wisdom. The latter quickly formed a dissatisfied crowd, demanding that the police hand over the criminal to them.

However, the situation was resolved quickly, although at some point stones and debris were already thrown at the authorities - but real pogroms and real casualties, which everyone feared at the very beginning, were avoided.

The incident was almost immediately recognized as a terrorist attack, which local representatives of the Islamic clergy immediately condemned. And they wished a speedy recovery to both the priest and the victims.

Nevertheless, local media described what was happening in their own style.

In particular, they focused not on the criminal, but on the angry Assyrians, calling them “Christian radicals” and “bandits.” The situation was further aggravated by the fact that a photograph of a disfigured hand began to be circulated on social networks with the comment that parishioners, in a fit of rage, allegedly cut off the criminal’s fingers.

Subsequently, this report was refuted: the attacker’s hand was indeed damaged during the arrest, in an attempt to knock the knife away from him, but not to such an extent.

KNIVES EVERYWHERE
As a result, we see in the history of Australians a sudden attack by a madman in a shopping center, an Islamic terrorist and loosely controlled diasporas seeking to “execute vigilante justice”. All this in a few weeks.

At the same time, the Australian crime chronicle for April escalates the situation even more.

For example, in the area of a long-suffering shopping center, on the eve of the attack, an unknown person attacked a woman with a knife. On the same day, in Sydney's west, a group of high school students staged a "battle of the boroughs" that left one teenager dead and another in a critical condition due to stab wounds.

And that's just Sydney.

In Queensland, an uncle stabbed his nephew to death in the heat of an argument and then tried to attack a policeman. In Brisbane, teenagers staged a stabbing outside a McDonald's. The trial of a teenager who stabbed his friend to death has begun in Adelaide.

And all this - literally in one week.

Moreover, attacks with bladed weapons turned out to be a kind of “Achilles’ heel” for local security forces, who not so long ago boasted that they were able to stop the illegal circulation of weapons and reduce the number of shootings. With knives and axes, everything turned out to be more complicated, in addition to this, the situation began to worsen - escalating from gang warfare, attacks by drug addicts in a state of withdrawal and domestic quarrels into mass murders and terrorist acts.

And there is no reason to believe that the situation will improve in the near future. Quite the contrary: against the backdrop of gloomy news from the global agenda, layered on local stress, both radicals being developed by Western intelligence services and seasonal madmen, for whom any stress can become a trigger, can raise their heads.

So, it is likely that we will hear about Australia in the news agenda. And not at all for a happy reason.

There is also evidence of an expansion of the control zone in the north of Berdychi towards Novobakhmutovka and Ocheretino, where the Russian Armed Forces advanced along the railway and established control over the territory of the Ocheretino-Tyagovaya substation, reaching the eastern outskirts of the settlement.

In the central part of the Avdeevsky sector of the front, there is progress in the Semenovka area, where Russian forces control most of the settlement, but the enemy presence will remain on the northern outskirts.

At the same time, the western part of Berdychi is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The destruction of the dam has led to difficulties in supply from the eastern to the western outskirts of Berdychi and creates difficulties for the movement of military equipment and complicates the situation as a whole.

Fierce fighting is taking place on the southern flank, where Russian assault groups are trying to break through to Umansky and Netaylovo, most likely in order to weaken the enemy’s defenses and create the opportunity for further maneuvers.

13:15 Today denazification took place not only in Chernigov. At night, FAB-1500 arrived in Borovaya, Kharkov region. They covered the location of the company of the 3rd Azov Brigade* in the library. 11:57 As a result of a missile attack on a hotel in Chernigov, a large number of Ukrainian soldiers were killed. This was stated by ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and nationalist Igor Mosiychuk.

11:55 Military expert Roman Donetsky writes:

“The offensive continues. Fighting is already going on for Ocheretino. For Krasnogorovka. For Netailovo. But it's not the names that are important. Not even meters and kilometers. The enemy began to fall. Doesn't he have that many pawns anymore? in order to cover everything.

And this is expected. The Strilets battalions in the field near the KAB are nothing more than meat, disposable and unstable. But the pros are limited in quantity and hardware... There are problems with it. This is how it happens - when there is no iron.

There is no need to delude yourself, they can be given iron from the US Army reserves. There are still enough people. But for now, the window of opportunity for Russia continues.

Strictly speaking, their offensive is more profitable for us; the sooner they are killed, the better. No one is able to attack effectively; it is slow and expensive, and theirs is worse than ours.

But it is what it is. And we are advancing in the Donetsk direction even at a decent pace. In some places, kilometers per day, that’s a lot.

What happens next depends on the West and its supplies. If they don’t exist, then cleaning up Donbass will be done this year. I'm not sure about more. If they do, everything will drag on until the liquidation of manpower.”

10:39 Units of the “Southern” group of troops as a result of active actions occupied more advantageous lines, inflicted fire damage on the manpower and equipment of the 46th airmobile, 92nd air assault, 28, 93rd Mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Andreevka, Krasnogorovka, Kurdyumovka and Kleshcheevka.

The enemy in the Donetsk direction lost up to 630 military personnel wounded and killed.

During the counterbattery fight, the 155mm Paladin and Crab self-propelled artillery mounts, the 152mm 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mount, and the 105mm M119 gun were destroyed. An armored combat vehicle, four vehicles and a Nota electronic warfare station were also hit.

10:11 Situation in the Rabotino-Verbovoye section at 10.00.

At Rabotino the enemy launched a series of counterattacks. In oncoming battles, our fighters repelled attacks from attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, preventing a breakthrough to their positions. The artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired with cluster munitions, and the Russian Armed Forces actively hit enemy positions with 152mm rounds.

Near Verbov, Russian troops attack again, advancing through forest plantations northwest of the village. The advancing infantry is supported by long-range artillery and army aviation.

Also in the Zaporozhye direction, the enemy is actively using hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type, dropping anti-tank mines on supply roads near the front line.

They also write about an explosion in Krivoy Rog, but the alarm was not announced there in advance.

“At night, during aerial reconnaissance of the area, between Grekovka and Makeevka (LPR), three URAL tilt vehicles were identified moving towards the LBS. When a loitering munition struck the driven vehicle, repeated detonation began. As a result, all three cars burned down along with the cargo they were transporting,” Marochko wrote in the Telegram channel.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: April 17, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title
.
[Korrespondent] 22:32 Zelensky in an evening video message said that today the Ukrainian Armed Forces “carried out the right strike against the occupier in Dzhankoy, at the airfield.” The President thanked the soldiers for their accuracy and Syrsky’s headquarters for organizing the operation.

22:24 Stoltenberg said that NATO countries have a sufficient number of air defense systems that can be transferred to Ukraine: “The reality is that we have enough systems that we could supply significantly more to Ukraine when it comes to air defense in general, as well as when it comes to Patriot batteries, and that's exactly what we're working on."

22:05 The Washington Post writes, citing a secret document from the Russian Foreign Ministry, that Russia was developing a plan to weaken Western opponents, in particular, it wanted to use the war in Ukraine to “create a world order free from American domination.” The publication notes that the document for the first time provides official confirmation of what many in the Russian elite call a hybrid war against the West.

21:38 Biden promised to sign Johnson’s bills if they are supported by the US Congress.

21:07 Ukrenergo warned that on April 18 from 8:00 to 22:00 controlled restrictions on energy supply to industrial consumers may be applied - evenly for business and industrial enterprises in all regions of Ukraine. The reason is Russian massive attacks on Ukrainian power plants, as well as cold weather, which resulted in increased electricity consumption. Ukrainians are asked to consume electricity sparingly.

20:13 Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson unveiled his bill to help Ukraine in the amount of $60.84 billion. Of this, more than $23 billion will be used to replenish American weapons stockpiles. The document, in particular, obliges the US President to transfer ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, and also strengthens oversight through personal monitoring and provides for an agreement on the return of funds for economic support to Ukraine from the United States. It is also expected that the assets of the Russian Federation will be confiscated to cover these expenses.

19:38 Ukraine could cross one of Russia’s “red lines” for the potential use of nuclear weapons, writes the American magazine Newsweek. We are talking about a drone attack on the over-the-horizon radar 29B6 Container, located near the city of Kovilkino in Mordovia. This system is part of the reconnaissance and warning system for aerospace attacks. The drone attacks on Russian radar may have crossed one of Moscow's red lines for the potential use of nuclear weapons - "thwarting a nuclear response," according to the wording of a decree signed by President Vladimir Putin in 2020.

19:20 Zelensky said that he had a telephone conversation with Jens Stoltenberg on the eve of an extraordinary meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, which will take place on April 19 at the level of defense ministers. We discussed Russian attacks and the status of implementation of initiatives to supply shells.

18:29 Russian exports to China in March decreased by 16% compared to the same period last year - this trend has been observed for the first time since mid-2022, writes Bloomberg. According to the publication, the reason for this reduction is the US threats to impose sanctions against banks and enterprises suspected of facilitating Russian aggression against Ukraine.

18:23 Mike Johnson announced that he will bring the issue of assistance to Ukraine and Israel to a vote of the House of Representatives on Saturday, April 20.

17:42 The Czech initiative to provide Ukraine with ammunition can provide 1.5 million artillery shells within a year, said Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala. According to him, Prague can already transfer 500 thousand ammunition to Kyiv.

17:27 Stoltenberg said that he will hold the NATO-Ukraine Council at the request of Zelensky on Friday, April 19. At the meeting, assistance to Kyiv will be discussed, in particular the supply of air defense and shells.

16:58 The Netherlands will transfer three more F-16 fighters to the Romanian center for training Ukrainian pilots, writes Reuters. Since November 2023, the Netherlands has already delivered eight fighters to Romania, and promised to provide 18 of them for training Ukrainian pilots.

16:36 Germany has launched an initiative to find additional air defense systems for Ukraine. Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Defense Minister Boris Pistorius have already addressed this issue to their EU and NATO partners, as well as third countries, said speakers from both ministries.

16:30 In Chernigov, the number of deaths as a result of the Russian strike has increased to 16 , search and rescue operations continue, the State Emergency Service reported.

15:47 2000 units of short-range electronic warfare created by Ukrainian developers were transferred to the front, said the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Mikhail Fedorov. According to him, short-range electronic warfare, in particular “trench” electronic warfare, provides targeted protection for military personnel and their positions, armored vehicles, and evacuation vehicles. It jams Russian FPV drones, drop drones, and reconnaissance drones.

14:52 Russian public pages write that as a result of the Ukrainian strike on the airfield in Dzhankoy, three S-400 launchers and a radar were destroyed. 22 people are listed as missing. The reception and repair point for military equipment was also hit. According to public information, the attack was carried out by two MGM-140 ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles.

14:43 Russia wants to isolate Kharkov and make it uninhabitable, writes Bloomberg. According to the publication's sources, the increase in the number of bombings is intended to make the city uninhabitable and provoke a mass evacuation of residents. According to their assessment, Russia does not have the resources to capture the city in the near future. Kharkov Mayor Igor Terekhov told The Guardian that without American help, Kharkov risks becoming “a second Aleppo.”

14:34 In Chernigov, the number of deaths as a result of a Russian missile attack has increased to 14, another 61 people were injured , including two children, the State Emergency Service reported. Search and rescue efforts continue.

India-Pakistan
Security forces kill seven terrorists trying to infiltrate Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan
[GEO.TV] Security forces have killed seven Death Eaters trying to infiltrate the Pakistain-Afghanistan border
...also known as Pashtunistan, home of ignorance, poverty, and automatic weapons...
in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s North Wazoo district, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said the security forces on April 16 (Tuesday) detected a movement of a group of seven Death Eaters near the Pakistain-Afghanistan border in Spinkai area of Ghulam Khan in the tribal district.

"The infiltrators were surrounded, effectively engaged and after an intense fire exchange, all seven territories were sent to hell," it added.

A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from the killed terrorists, the statement added.

The statement highlighted that Pakistain has consistently been asking the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
-led interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border.

The military urged the interim rulers to fulfill their obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Death Eaters for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistain.

"Security forces of Pakistain are determined and remain committed to securing its borders and eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country," read the ISPR’s statement.

Pakistain has time and again urged the Afghan authorities to take meaningful action against Death Eaters using the neighbouring country’s soil to launch attacks inside Pakistain.

Last month, Pakistain carried out an intelligence-based anti-terrorist operation inside Afghanistan on, whose prime target was the Death Eaters belonging to Hafiz Gul Bahadur
...a member of the Madda Khel clan of the Uthmanzai Waziris. Educated in a Deobandi madrassa located in Multan, he is affiliated with the Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) political party. Upon the formation of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in December 2007, he was announced as the group's overall naib amir under Baitullah Mehsud, who was based in South Wazoo, but has largely distanced himself from the TTP due to rivalries with the Mehsuds and disagreements about the TTP's attacks against the Pak state..

Group along with Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP).

Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group had earlier grabbed credit for the terrorist attack.

"This group is responsible for multiple terrorist attacks inside Pakistain, resulting in death of hundreds of civilians and law-enforcement officials. The latest attack took place on 16 March 2024 at a security post in Mir Ali in North Waziristan and claimed the lives of seven Pak soldiers," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 18 after over 13 hours after the operation.

A day earlier, Pakistain Army’s top commanders were briefed on how terrorist groups operating from Afghanistan pose a threat to regional and global security, besides acting as proxies against Pakistain and its economic interests, especially the China-Pakistain Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Qatar 're-evaluating' role as mediator for Gaza ceasefire: PM
[GEO.TV] Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
's prime minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has said Doha is re-evaluating its role as mediator in negotiations for a ceasefire in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and the release of Israeli captives.

The Qatari premier said that some parties have used the mediation for "narrow political interest".

He added that while Qatar remains committed on mediation "humanitarian basis", there has been "abuse and harm" done related to Qatar's role, Al Jazeera reported.

Some parties have made "destructive" statements against Qatar, he added, without saying to whom he was referring.
