Mohib further added "And, as my colleague Ambassador Adela Raz said last week here at the United Nations: "This is a fight we can win.""
This comes as the Afghan and U.S. forces have stepped up counter-terrorism operations against Taliban and other turban and terrorist group across the country, specifically after the U.S. President Donald Trump

President Trump called off peace talks with Taliban group on 8th of September in reaction to a deadly attack in Kabul city which killed at least 12 people including an American service member.

President Trump said his administration was pursuing the hope of a brighter future in Afghanistan.
He made the remarks at the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly late last month.
President Trump said "Around the world, our message is clear: America’s goal is lasting, America’s goal is harmony, and America’s goal is not to go with these endless wars ‐ wars that never end."
Furthermore, he said "With that goal in mind, my administration is also pursuing the hope of a brighter future in Afghanistan."
