|
[Libya Observer] The International Organization for Migration (IOM) confirmed on Tuesday, that a total of 3,340 families have been internally displaced from Murzuq town southwest of Libya since the beginning of August.
The IOM clarified in its report published on its official website that the initial needs for assisting the displaced families include medical supplies and health assistance, in addition to food, water, and sanitation service.
The report also indicated that the closure of markets and other services for a long period, on the backdrop of the festivities in the city, have affected the living conditions and created other problems such as the lack of water, electricity, fuel, and telecommunications services.
