#2 Political analysts in the US say that protesters are unable to get their message across due to the lack of proper coverage by media companies such as FoxNews and CNN, which heavily depend on high revenues from subscriptions and commercials.

WTF???? What about the NYT, ABC, CBS, NBC, WaPo etc. etc.? They don't have an audience or readership anymore? They aren't supported by ads and subscribers????

This is the most inane AND asinine statement I've ever seen!! (Ok, maybe that was a bit hyperbolic, but still......)

#3 ...it's listed as sourced from Iran Press TV. They must be using those former editors and fact checkers from American dead tree publications to cover the US beat.

#7 Looks like the public unions are getting the worst of both worlds and the Democrats are getting obamaed.

#8 From 2x4's article:

"Democrats had been calling all day Wednesday for Walker and Republicans to compromise."

Dem's idea of compromise: do it OUR way, even though we're in the minority.

Losers.

#9 Wow. Talking about not quarter!

Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate voted Wednesday night to strip nearly all collective bargaining rights from public workers after discovering a way to bypass the chamber's missing Democrats.

#11 The WI senate move affects future contracts but doesn't reduce existing commitments, which will require Dem involvement. But it's a start and a negotiating tool, at a minimum.

#12 With the end of the collection of union dues by the employer, the State of Wisconsin, it spells the end of the political influence of public employee unions in Wisconsin. With the requirement for annual certification, it may mean the end of the unions themselves.

That is what this has been all about. If it spreads, it will kill AFSCME.
