#2 Im not sure what assumptions Fayed-Abbas need to revisit right now. Theyve set up a completely Hamas free cabinet. Theyve gone about arresting Hamasniks, even clamping down on Hamas "charities". Theyve refused to even talk to Hamas (at least in public)

Theyve at least proclaimed on paper the need to disarm AAMB. They havent yet done so, but when the Israelis went after AAMB, they only did the standard meaningless protest.

I think Abbas-Fayed are doing all anyone could reasonably expect at this moment.

Now Im not sure how valuable training would really be. I wouldnt rule out the possibility it could be of some use though.

#5 The State Dept. began going off the rails during the Dulles years, but this State Dept. seems to be at war with the American people and its interests. This is madness. Any chance that Arabs exterminate Arabs is a plus, but giving them $86 million worth of arms, which they will employ against Israel is looney tunes territory.
