-War on Police-
13-year-old 'hardened criminal' on probation shoots cop during gun battle: police

[NYPOST] A 13-year-old boy described by authorities as a "hardened criminal" with "no regard for life" shot a police officer during a foot chase in Florida — and was maimed in the exchange of fire.
In the movies the hero gets shot in the arm.
The shootout unfolded after 5 p.m. Wednesday in the city of Lakeland as police officer Jamie Smith, formerly of the NYPD, was responding to a 911 call reporting a drive-by shooting a couple of blocks from Simpson Park.
New York's finest, on the job in Florida...
Smith spotted the white Dodge Avenger mentioned on the call and pursued it in his patrol vehicle until the car stopped and three teens jumped out and took off running.
We've seen that on every episode of C*O*P*S, I think.
One of the suspects was seen brandishing a gun, Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor said during a presser.
"Look out! He's got a gun!"
Smith, who has served on the force in Lakeland for two years after being recruited from New York, followed the armed suspect, later identified by the police chief as 13-year-old Wesley Dalmas.
When I was thirteen, I think I still had my paper route...
I was fourteen when I started mine, but I was a late bloomer. We kept it in the family until child #4 graduated high school, I believe.
Smith’s body camera video that was released overnight shows the cop running after Dalmas through the Carrington Place Apartments.
"Where are you, Smith?"
"Some sort of slum!"
"Oh. The Affordable Housing units. We're on our way!"

Smith repeatedly orders the teen to stop and drop his weapon, but Dalmas refuses to comply.
"Don't nobody tell me whut to do!"
As the officer rounds a corner, he runs into Dalmas crouching in wait for him. The teen points his Taurus 9mm semi-automatic handgun
...that’s awfully specific...
and shoots at Smith three times, as seen in the bodycam footage.
[BANG!] [BANG!] [BANGETY BANG!]
Taylor said Smith was struck in the left foot and returned fire, but Dalmas managed to get away.
"Ow! My foot!"
The maimed officer called for backup and continued the pursuit despite his injury.
[HOBBLE HOBBLE HOBBLE LIMP]
Other officers who rushed to the scene caught up with Dalmas, who Taylor said tried to flee and opened fire on them.
"[BANG!] Youse'll never take me alive, coppers!" [BANG!]
"Okay."
[BANG! BANG!] [BANG] [AND BANG!]
"Ow! My stomach! My leg! My thigh!... I quit!"

During the shootout, the 13-year-old was shot in the stomach, leg and thigh. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he was treated and released.
"Tweedy, Muldoon, put yourselves down for more range time!"
"Sorry, Chief."
"Yeah. Sorry."

Smith was administered first aid by his colleagues and taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center to be treated for the gunshot wound and broken bones in his foot.
"Kinda like bein' back in New York City, huh?"
"Nah. We got palm trees here."

Taylor said he was expected to be released home in the coming days.
"Well, yeah. It's just a shot to my foot. Ruined my shoe though."
Taylor hailed his officer’s actions during the pursuit as "nothing short of heroic."
"He kept right on hobblin', he did! That takes guts when yer foot's broke!"
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd also spoke at the presser and revealed that Dalmas had been arrested back in January in connection with a car burglary, during which he stole a gun, reported the local outlet Lkldnow.com.
"Started his career earlier than most, he did."
"Loan me twenty bucks!"
"Shuddup!"
"Who was that?"
"His foot. It's broke!"

The youngster had been given probation instead of a prison sentence in that case, which Judd said he did not "appreciate."
"Where'd they get that judge? New York?"
The sheriff said Dalmas and his two cohorts, who were on probation at the time of Wednesday’s incident, were smoking marijuana and driving around Lakeland "looking for someone to shoot."
The very definition of Feral Yoots.

Afghanistan
Daily Evacuation Brief May 11 and 12, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • SUPREME COURT IN PAKISTAN ORDERS FORMER PRIME MINISTER TO BE RELEASED – Imran Khan left the courtroom on Thursday under heavy guard and was transported to a Police command facility at Police Lines yesterday. The court mandated that he stay in a guest house at the police facility ‘for his own protection’. The 3 Justices on the bench ruled his arrest had not been lawfully carried out. The government denounced the ruling and swore to rearrest him on a number of charges related to both the corruption case he has been dealing with as well as charges related to the violence that took place over the last several days. The protests died down on Thursday but Police officials said that over 2,000 PTI followers were arrested and approximately 10 were killed with another 400 or so injured in the chaos. Many in the regime (including some opposition party members) have called for some of the Justices to resign their posts. Critics have argued the government has failed to wage an effective legal campaign and the court’s decisions must be respected. Khan is due back in Islamabad’s High Court today and several thousand PTI members have gathered near the Judicial Complex and are facing off against Police and Military units.

  • CASH SHIPMENTS RESUME TO AFGHANISTAN – The Da Afghanistan Bank confirmed that another $40 million in economic aid had been received on Thursday. The shipments were said to have been interrupted since the ban on female humanitarian aid workers was put in place. Several US lawmakers have voiced concerns over a recent inspector general report and testimony that suggested the funds could be finding their way into Taliban coffers.

  • DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER CAUTIONS NEIGHBORS TO STAY OUT OF AFGHANISTAN’S INTERNAL AFFAIRS – Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister, made remarks at a remembrance event for Mullah Omar which were directed at Afghanistan’s neighbors, warning them to not meddle in internal matters. A source in Kabul says that Kandahar has been concerned by remarks made at several regional meetings on Afghanistan by representatives of Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan about the situation in the country. The source went on to say that leaders in Kandahar are pushing the Taliban Ministers to blunt criticisms about inclusive political representation in the country recently. If true, it confirms many of the statements made recently by other senior Taliban leaders which claim the Taliban is already inclusive and representative of the ethnic groups in the country.

  • HAQQANI SPEAKS OUT AGAIN AGAINST THE ‘OLD GUARD’ – The Minister of the Interior, Sirajuddin Haqqani, used his time at a ceremony marking the death of the founder of the Islamic Emirate (Mullah Omar Mujahid) to take a few shots at the leadership in Kandahar. In his remarks, he criticized the lack of ethnic voices within the Taliban leadership which has been widely interpreted as a rebuke of the Supreme Leader and his inner circle to consolidate power in Pashtun hands.

NEXT 24 HOURS
PAKISTAN COULE ERUPT AGAIN BASED ON TODAY’S COURT APPEARANCE BY THE FORMER PRIME MINISTER – The current regime has vowed to rearrest former PM, Imran Khan, and has filed additional charges against him for inciting the violence that took place over the last three days. Khan is scheduled to appear before the Islamabad High Court and the Supreme Court appears to have washed its hands of him when they told him on Thursday that he would have to abide by the High Court’s rulings. Many of the PTI protestors remain camped in Islamabad and they are expected to station themselves around the Judicial Complex in the event the government tries to arrest the former PM again. At-risk Afghans should be aware that the protests could reignite quickly and the situation remains volatile.

Daily Evacuation Brief | May 11, 2023

[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • PAKISTAN CHAOS CONTINUES – Protests continued across the country throughout the night and clashes between security forces and protestors continued throughout the night. There have been casualties reported but information has been difficult to verify due to the government curbing internet and cellular usage. At this point, any casualty figures would be mere speculation and irresponsible to print. Further arrests of the PTI leadership have been made and these have served to inflame the party followers. The party leader, Fawad Chaudhry was arrested last night in front of the Supreme Court. The Army has been called into areas where the protestors have congregated and tear gas is being used to attempt to disperse the rioters. Multiple buildings and vehicles have been set alight in cities across the country and private security companies have hired additional security to guard their offices and warehouses. Social media has been blocked but some people continue to post by using VPNs. There are rumors that some Afghans have taken part in the protests but these rumors have not been verified. PTI protestors attacked the current Prime Minister’s residence in Lahore and threw Molotov cocktails inside the residence and burned a nearby police checkpoint and several vehicles in the area before being chased off by a reinforcing column of police. A source in Rawalpindi claimed the security forces have successfully blocked PTI reinforcements from uniting in a central location. The source said that the number of protestors who successfully made it into Islamabad and Rawalpindi was far lower than initially expected.

  • ‘FAKE NEWS’ IN PAKISTAN RIOTS ESCALATING RIOTS – The spread of fake news and AI-generated photos, some of which depict former Prime Minister Khan being hanged and shot, are circulating on social media. According to a source with a European cybersecurity firm, the bulk of the misleading information is coming from China and India. In one instance, a photo of a severely wounded Imran Khan shared on Twitter had been retweeted nearly 800,000 times in a matter of hours. A source in Islamabad said that Police have questioned some protestors who had made their way past police and near the US Embassy and were told they had received a message on Telegram telling them that the Embassy was planning to evacuate the current Prime Minister from the rooftop. An apartment building that houses mainly teachers from a school district in Southern Rawalpindi was evacuated when the owner of the building spotted a fake threat to burn the building by a supposed ISIS/DAESH Facebook account.

  • CHINESE CITIZENS TARGETED IN TERRORIST ATTACK IN KARACHI, PAKISTAN – According to Pakistani Police, 2 unidentified terrorists attempted to kill Chinese workers at the Dawood Jetty. 1 suspect was killed and 1 escaped in the unsuccessful attack. 1 Pakistani police constable was wounded in the engagement.

  • POWER DISRUPTIONS IN KABUL – A problem with a relay station in Baghlan Province has caused power outages in some neighborhoods of Kabul. It is not clear how big the problem is but workers arrived yesterday evening to attempt a repair.

CONFLICT TRACKER
Kabul: An unidentified Resistance group attacked a Taliban unit in the 7th Police District during the early morning hours on Wednesday. 3 Taliban were reportedly killed and 2 more were wounded in the attack.
Kapisa:The NRF reportedly reportedly hit a Taliban checkpoint in an undisclosed location in the province, claiming to have killed 6 Taliban in the attack while wounding 4 others.
Takhar: The NRF claim they killed Taliban District Intelligence Chief Qari Nabi in an attack in the capital city on Wednesday.

NEXT 24-HOURS
SITUATION IN PAKISTAN TO CONTINUE – The situation in the country shows no signs of slowing down over the next twenty-four hours. Several thousand PTI party reinforcements arrived on the outskirts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi overnight and seem to have established corridors to get into the city. Some expect the former Prime Minister’s wife will be arrested today and tomorrow, further inflaming the situation. A source in Islamabad said that a decision to cut power across the city was being considered as a means of halting the mayhem but was being considered only as a last resort. The source said a new set of rules of engagement was prepared on Wednesday night that would be issued to Army units should the situation worsen but the specifics were not available. While nothing has been confirmed about Afghans participating in the riots, the stories circulating on the internet and by word of mouth add an extra layer of risk for at-risk Afghans staying in Pakistan. Even with the government's prohibition on Internet and cellular communications, we have confirmed that many in Pakistan still have access and are able to communicate. We continue to recommend Afghans shelter in place and wait for the situation to become clearer before venturing out.

5 Shaboobs toes up In Somali army op on 3 villages in Lower Shabelle
[Garowe] The Somali National Army [SNA] continued with operations against al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
krazed killers, inflicting serious losses on the group in Lower Shabelle, a top official confirmed, in the latest crackdown activated by the federal forces in southern Somalia.

Multiple sources within the army said at least five bandidos forces of Evil were killed in the region with three others sustaining serious bullet wounds as the army struct Awdheele, Johar, and Aybutey villages where the bandidos forces of Evil were hiding in the dangerous Lower Shabelle belt within Somalia.

Major Nur Mohammed Gaboow, the man in charge of the operations said the army acted following a tip-off from members of the public, leading to the successful outing. He urged members of the public to continue working with the army as they seek to liberate the rest of the country from the krazed killers.

For the last seven months, SNA with the help of the US Africa Command, the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS], and local militia have managed to liberate several strategic towns from the krazed killers. Currently, the army is installing civilian administrations in captured areas.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has rallied the Somali people behind the army, urging them to provide necessary assistance to security forces to enable them to defeat the bandidos forces of Evil saying his government will win the war and restore peace and stability in Somalia.

In return, the under-pressure bandidos forces of Evil have been trying to wage retaliatory attacks in army bases, government offices, and areas inhabited by civilians. But the forces with the help of locals have managed to thwart several attacks, almost rendering the group impotent and sterile according to security experts.

Early this week, Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency [NISA] said it had foiled a complex al-Shabaab attack in Mogadishu’s peace garden. With increased surveillance, some bandidos forces of Evil mostly foreigners are secretly exiting the country according to intelligence sources.

The government is also targeting the group's revenue sources as it seeks to cripple it financially, with the main objective being to eliminate the bandidos forces of Evil within the next 24 months.

The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia is set to commence strategic exit, but Somali forces have insisted on being "mission ready" to tackle threats posed by the group.

Al-Shabaab fire mortar shells at newly liberated Somalia town
[Garowe] al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
fired mortar shells at a newly liberated town in central Somalia Somalia, eyewitnesses reported, in yet an attempt to disrupt ongoing plans to install civilian administration after more than a decade of under holy warriors' control.

Witnesses said at least six mortar shells landed in Harardhere town on Wednesday night but no casualties were reported. The Somali Army has been patrolling the town in recent weeks after it was liberated from al-Shabaab snuffies in January this year.

Federal government officials in the town confirmed that the mortars landed in civilian villages but did not comment on any potential casualties.

Whenever the group attacks the military, it either uses the Improvised Explosive Devices [IEDs] and, or mortar shells according to security experts.
Good to know.
The attack comes barely a week after security forces led by the Somali National Army killed over 60 al-Shabaab snuffies within the area. The snuffies engaged in a fierce shootout with security forces at El-Qabobe village about 30 kilometers south of Harardhere town.

Early this year, the Somali National Army with the help of international partners among them the US Africa Command, the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS], and local militia, captured Harardhere town along with Gal'ad from the snuffies following fierce battles that lasted almost for a week.

Previously, Harardhere was the hub of pirates in Somalia, with the goons managing to hijack giant ships until 2011 when they were flushed away. It was later taken over by al-Shabaab, which first rose up against the government in 2007 before pledging its allegiance to al-Qaeda.

The government of Somalia is set to activate the second phase of operations against the al-Shabaab extortionists and has since requested backing from non-ATMIS troops from Kenya, Djibouti, and Æthiopia.

The contingent will serve in the country for three months under the command of the Somali National Army, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud revealed.

Death toll in Tunisia synagogue attack rises to five
[IsraelTimes] Third guard dies of wounds, after two Jewish worshipers and two other guards are killed by rogue officer who opened fire on Djerba synagogue during annual pilgrimage

The number of people killed after a terror attack on a synagogue on the Tunisian island of Djerba during an annual Jewish pilgrimage has now risen to five, Tunisia’s TAP news agency said Wednesday. They include two Jewish pilgrims and three Tunisian police guards.

One police guard died from his injuries following Tuesday’s attack, according to a medical official cited by TAP. Two other officers died at the scene, Tunisian officials said in the immediate aftermath of the assault by a guard affiliated with the National Guard naval center on Djerba.

Four other injured members of security forces were hospitalized in Djerba after they were maimed, including one at death's door, according to TAP.

The Tunisian Foreign Ministry said the civilians killed were a 42-year-old French national and a 30-year-old Tunisian.

They were identified as Aviel Haddad, a 30-year-old dual citizen of Tunisia and Israel living in Netivot, Israel, and his 42-year-old cousin, Benjamin Haddad, a French-Jewish businessman living in La Belle France, the chairwoman of the World Federation of Tunisian Jewry in Israel, Dr. Miryam Gez-Avigal, told The Times of Israel.

Four civilians were also injured, the Tunisian Interior Ministry said. The attacker was killed by guards as he tried to storm the synagogue after shooting a colleague and stealing his ammunition.

The shooting occurred as thousands of Jews were gathered on Djerba for an annual pilgrimage to the ancient El Ghriba synagogue.

In a statement, the French Foreign Ministry expressed its "deep sadness" at the attack.

La Belle France paid tribute to the "rapid intervention of the Tunisian security forces and stands by Tunisia to continue the fight against antisemitism and all forms of fanaticism," the statement said.

Once home to a thriving Jewish community, Tunisia today counts only a small number of Jews, the majority having fled to La Belle France or to Israel after its creation. The country has sought to restore its image as a prized tourist destination despite political turmoil and Islamist violence.

The pilgrimage drew thousands to Djerba until 2002, when a truck bomb went kaboom! next to the synagogue during the Lag B’Omer event, killing 20 people and leading Tunisia to up security as attendance dwindled in subsequent years. Some 5,000 people were taking part in this year’s pilgrimage, French outlet BMFTV reported, citing organizers.

The motive for the attack was under investigation.

Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli said the attack had occurred following "a tense period of shouts and harassment of the Jewish community at the site," according to his office.

Every year, Jews from around the world convene on Djerba for the Hilula of Ghriba — a feast that features a festive procession on or near Lag B’Omer. The procession traditionally ends at the El Ghriba synagogue, thought to have been established by Jews fleeing persecution some 2,500 years ago.

The current building was constructed in the 19th century and is sometimes referred to as the oldest existing synagogue in Africa, according to Georgetown University’s Berkley Center.

Aviel Haddad’s sister, Rona, told Kan radio that the entire family had immigrated to Israel from Tunisia and that her brother, a jeweler, traveled to Djerba frequently.

India-Pakistan
NIA Crackdown In Kashmir Continues: Properties Of JeM, Hizbul Terrorists Attached
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a major operation has intensified its crackdown in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
by attaching the properties of three accused persons who are linked with terror-organizations sponsored by Pakistain.

Stepping up its vigil on terror outfits and their affiliates, the NIA conducted raids on the properties of overground workers across various locations.

On Wednesday, the NIA attached the immovable properties of three accused in two different cases. The cases pertained to the Hizbul Mujahideen
...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003...
and Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
In the first case, the NIA attached the immovable properties of Doulat Ali Mugal and Ishaq Pala, in Herman Shopian.

While Ishaq Pala, currently lodged in Central Jail Agra, was a terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) / al-Badr terrorist organization, Doulat Ali Mugal was an overground worker of the proscribed Hizbul Mujahideen. He is currently out on bail.

Pala while in Central Jail Srinagar, had conspired with his co-accused, including Riyaz Naikoo and Doulat Ali Mugal, and assisted Danish Ghulam Lone and Suhail Ahmad Bhat to cross the border from Kupwara Sector to join terror ranks and wage a war against the state. Accused Doulat Ali Mugal had provided logistic support to accused Danish Ghulam Lone and Suhail Ahmad Bhat at Kupwara when both were about to cross the Line of Control or LoC, the NIA said.

The properties attached on orders of NIA Special Court, include land measuring 5.5 Marla and 3.5 Marla under survey Nos.1597 Min and 1598 Min, including one double storey house of accused Doulat Ali Mugal located at Village Manigah Kupwara, and Immoveable property in the form of two rooms under the ownership of accused Ishaq Pala at village Allora, Tehsil Herman, Shopian, the NIA said.

The probe was launched in 2018, following which a module of the Hizbul Mujahideen was busted. The others who were charged included Danish Ghulam Lone, Suhail Ahmad Bhat and Feeroz Ahmad Lone. Another co-conspirator, Reyaz Ahmad Naikoo was killed by the security forces in an encounter.

In the second case, the NIA attached the property of Fayaz Ahmad Magray, who is an associate of the Jaish-e-Mohammad. He is currently lodged in jail. NIA continues crackdown in Kashmir, multiple locations raided

Ahead of the G-20 summit in Srinagar, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) while continuing the crackdown on Thursday conducted raids at multiple locations in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
in a case registered by the agency.

Official sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that sleuths of NIA with the assistance of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF carried out at multiple locations in Kashmir.

In the village of Hanjoora Budgam, NIA raided the house of Bilal Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir. At Wagam the house of Khazir Mohammad Najar, son of Gulam Mohammad Najar is being searched by the agency.

One residential house at Namtehal Budgam belonging to Mohammad Ashraf Wani, son of late Ghulam Qadir Wani is being searched by the sleuths of NIA.

Similarly, NIA conducted searches in the house of Mohmad Yousuf Malik, son of Abdul Gaffar Malik, a resident of Daharmuna Soibugh and in the house of Mohmad Shafi Dar son of Ghulam Mohmmad, a resident of Jawallapora in the district.

Another team of the NIA searched the residential house of Ghulam Mustafa Ganie son of Late Ghulam Hassan Ganie, a resident of Fallchill village of the district Budgam.

The sleuths of the agency also conducted raid at Dharmuna in the house of Mohammad Yousf Malik, son of Abdul Gaffar Malik and in Jawalapora Budgam the search is being conducted in the house of Mohammad Shafi Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar,a resident of Jawalapora Budgam.

Many other locations in Kashmir are being searched by the national probing agency (NIA) of which sources said details were being collected.

"During the searches on Thursday, various incriminating documents and electronic devices were seized from the premises of the suspects", official sources said adding that further investigation of the case is on.

These are initial details and the story will be updated.

(PTI) leaders shows no signs of slowing down, as PTI Senior Vice President Dr Shireen Mazari was arrested in a pre-dawn raid at her residence in the federal capital on Friday.

According to officials, the Islamabad police raided her house during the early hours of Friday. Her arrest comes after a series of arrests of multiple other PTI leaders, including Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality disorders...
, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi

, Ali Mohammad Khan, and Senator Ejaz Chaudhry.

All of these leaders were arrested under section three of the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO).

In a major legal victory for PTI, Chairman Imran Khan's arrest in the al-Qadir Trust case has been declared "illegal" by the Supreme Court on May 11, and authorities have been instructed to release him "immediately".

The apex court has sent the PTI chief to the Police Lines Guest House, allowing him to spend the night with his family.

The court has also ordered Imran Khan to appear before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) by tomorrow, which is the same court that previously declared his arrest to be legal.

It is important to note that the court has set a precedent that no person shall be arrested within the premises of a court.

It has been the worst bout of fighting between Israel and Paleostinian holy warriors in Gaza in months, and among the dead were also women and kiddies.

The conflagration comes at a time of soaring tensions and spiking violence over the past year in the occupied West Bank.

group, while La Belle France, Germany, Jordan and Egypt called for an end to the violence.

"The bloodletting must end now," said German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock after hosting her three counterparts for talks in Berlin.

The Israeli military has claimed that more than 550 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel, causing no casualties so far.

Of these, over 440 rockets made it over the border and at least 154 were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defence system, while one in five fell inside Gaza, it said.

Shops in Gaza were shuttered and the streets largely abandoned as Israeli military aircraft circled over the territory where several buildings lay in ruins.

The Islamic Jihad confirmed it has lost five military leaders in strikes in recent days, including Ahmed Abu-Deka.

Abu Deka was the deputy of Ali Ghali, the commander of a rocket launch unit killed by Israel earlier on Thursday.

The Gaza health ministry said a man had been martyred in southern Gaza, with the Islamic Jihad confirming it was Abu Deka.

Fresh rockets at southern Israel followed the Israeli strike, AFP correspondents said.

Another group, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine, said four of its freedom fighters had been martyred.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said he had instructed the security establishment "to take all the measures necessary, to prepare additional actions and maintain readiness for the possibility of increased fire".

The figure includes both terrorists targeted by Israel and civilians, as well as civilians believed killed by Islamic Jihad rocket misfires, according to Israeli officials.

At least 12 of the fatalities are confirmed to be members of terror groups, Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the smaller Mujahideen Brigades.

Soldier seriously hurt in West Bank shootout with Palestinians
[IsraelTimes] IDF says servicewoman hit by shrapnel during arrest operation in Tubas; 19 terror suspects detained in raids

An Israeli soldier was seriously maimed during a shootout with Paleostinian button men in the northern West Bank early Wednesday, the military said.

The Israel Defense Forces said the servicewoman was hit by shrapnel during an arrest raid in the city of Tubas, near Nablus, in the northern Jordan Valley.

"During the activity in Tubas, there was an exchange of fire between gunnies and IDF forces," the IDF said.

She was taken to a hospital in Israel for further treatment.

The military initially blocked publication of the incident for several hours.

In a separate armed clash in the West Bank city of Qabatiya, Israeli troops killed two Paleostinian button men.

The IDF said that during an arrest operation in the city, the two button men shot up troops from a passing vehicle. "The troops responded by firing at the two terrorists, killing them," the IDF said, adding that troops seized an assault rifle and handgun from the car.

Tensions between Israel and the Paleostinians have been elevated for the past year, with the IDF conducting near-nightly raids in the West Bank amid a series of deadly Paleostinian terror attacks.

The IDF said Wednesday morning that 19 wanted Paleostinians were detained during the overnight operations across the West Bank. They were handed over to the Shin Bet security agency for further questioning.

Since the beginning of the year, Paleostinian attacks in Israel and the West Bank have killed 19 people and left several more seriously hurt. At least 103 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed during that span, most of them while carrying out attacks or during festivities with security forces, but some were uninvolved civilians and others were killed under circumstances that are being investigated.

The raids early Wednesday came as tensions continued to build a day after Israel launched an offensive against the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
