-Lurid Crime Tales-
Marine veteran Daniel Penny, 24, hands himself into police to face manslaughter charge - as witness, 66, comes forward to say he only intervened AFTER Jordan Neely threatened to 'kill a motherf****r'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Penny handed himself in to police today on a 2nd degree manslaughter charge

  • If convicted, he faces between three and 15 years in prison

On May 1, he put Neely - a mentally ill, homeless man with a record of 40 prior arrests including violent attacks - in a chokehold after Neely shouted that he was 'fed up' and wanted to go to jail.

They were both traveling on the F train in New York City, and part of the incident was filmed.

A 66-year-old female witness to the incident spoke anonymously to The New York Post last night on the eve of Penny's arraignment to support him.

She said there are more videos of the altercation that led up to the chokehold that she believes will absolve Penny of wrongdoing.

'So I believe that those videos are going to come forward, maybe people will do it anonymously.

'I hope he has a great lawyer, and I’m praying for him. And I pray that he gets treated fairly, I really do.

'Because after all of this ensued I went back and made sure that I said, "thank you" to him.'

She said Neely brought on the chokehold by threatening the entire train and many of them took the threats seriously.

'He said, "I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet, I’ll go to jail" because he would kill people on the train.

'He said ‘I would kill a motherf***er. I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet. I’ll go to jail.'

'This gentleman, Mr. Penny, did not stand up. Did not engage with the gentleman. He said not a word. It was all Mr. Neely that was… threatening the passengers. If he did not get what he wants,' she said.

Eventually, Penny stood up and pulled him to the ground. Two other men helped subdue him. Neither of them have been charged.

In their statement last night, Penny's attorneys said: 'When Mr. Penny, a decorated Marine veteran, stepped in to protect himself and his fellow New Yorkers, his well-being was not assured.

'He risked his own life and safety, for the good of his fellow passengers.

'The unfortunate result was the unintended and unforeseen death of Mr. Neely.

'We are confident that once all the facts and circumstances surrounding this tragic incident are brought to bear, Mr. Penny will be fully absolved of any wrongdoing.'

Neely's family are calling for more intense charges. His uncle last night said the Marine deserved to be hit with a murder charge.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg was under intense pressure to charge Penny, with Democrats and protesters calling his death murder.

Penny, meanwhile, has received a rush of support from Marine veterans, Republicans and New Yorkers fed up with the city's crime and homelessness.

Protests erupted have been staged near the Broadway Lafayette subway station where Neely died. In an effort to calm the public outrage and debate over the case, New York City Mayor Eric Adams initially urged patience. Last night, he spoke more sympathetically, appealing to Neely's family.

'One thing we can control is how our city responds to this tragedy. One thing we can say for sure: Jordan Neely did not deserve to die.

'Jordan Neely’s life mattered. He was suffering from severe mental illness, but that was not the cause of his death.

'His death was a tragedy that never should have happened.'

#3  Where is Neely's family, DM? Where?

He was suffering from severe mental illness, but that was not the cause of his death.

Ahkschually, it was the 30 some people on the train who were the ones randomly assaulted. If Baked Out of His Mind would have been reading a book, you wouldn't be reading this comment.

#9  Big city mass transit is a cesspool of vagrants who live in the cars drinking and doing drugs all day. It is a major homeless den that transit cops refuse to board and fare inspectors are verbally abused. Normal people ride at their own risks and as you can see the liberal trash that oversees those cities hate people on the right just as much as the skanks that live on the transit systems.

NJ man charged in grisly ax murder of 9-year-old niece, sister-in-law
[NYPOST] A New Jersey man has been arrested in connection to the grisly ax murder of his sister-in-law and niece, who were found dead underneath a mattress last month inside their Roselle home.

Everoy L. Morrison, 44, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, motor vehicle theft and several weapons counts in connection to the late April killings, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office said Monday.

The bloodied bodies of Kiesha Morrison, 45, and her 9-year-old daughter, Kelsey, were discovered underneath a mattress in the daughter’s bedroom by police who were called to a home on West 7th Avenue on April 18 after the two were reported missing.

Initial reports said the mother and daughter, who was days short of turning 10, were bludgeoned to death, but later reports claimed an ax had been used.

After the victims’ bodies were discovered, police determined that Keisha Morrison’s brand-new BMW had been stolen.

Investigators from the prosecutor’s office’s Homicide Task Force and the Roselle Police Department were able to track the vehicle to Maryland.

There, the driver, Everoy Morrison, was pulled over and arrested for being in possession of the stolen car.

Leftists Outraged over Aubrey Plaza Commercial Mocking Plant-Based Milk: ‘So Disappointed'
[Breitbart] Leftists are outraged over a new commercial featuring actress Aubrey Plaza mocking plant-based milk. “What’s next Aubrey? Will you be promoting foie gras, veal, human slavery, or perhaps heroin?” one social media user asked.

In the satirical commercial, Plaza states that she is “the co-founder of Wood Milk, the world’s first and only milk made from wood.”
Video of the thing can be seen at the liink.
“Now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of our efforts. Not fruits, wood,” the Parks and Recreation star says before taking a drink of a substance, and then asking the camera, “Got wood?”
In the Morning, maybe
“Is wood milk real? Absolutely not. Only real milk is real,” Plaza concludes, before asking, “Then what did I invest in?”

Leftists on social media quickly attacked Wood Milk and Plaza, who both disabled the comment sections for their YouTube and Instagram post.

But the left took to other Instagram posts by Plaza to attack her for supporting real milk.

“What’s next Aubrey? Will you be promoting foie gras, veal, human slavery, or perhaps heroin next? Who need ethics, Aubrey is for sale apparently,” another stated.

More boringly predictable leftwing comments snipped.
The left-wing news site, Vox, also reacted to the Wood Milk commercial with a lengthy piece complaining about Plaza “mocking plant-based milks.”

Vox took issue with Plaza stating “only real milk is real,” and argued that “the idea that one type of milk is real and the other isn’t is absurd,” before complaining about the “many ethical problems in dairy production,” such as its inhumane treatment of cows and its impact on the environment.

The piece, however, eventually admits that the dairy production system in place is actually “necessary” in order to feed milk to 330 million Americans at a low cost.

“It’s necessary — if you’re trying to produce enough milk to feed 330 million Americans at a low cost, you have to do it on a large scale with the aid of technology to make it more efficient and safe,” the site acknowledges.

It also taught us kids, the level of effort our parents put in, to put food on the table and roof over our heads.

Levi's to expand gender-neutral line amid 'consumer appetite' despite Bud Light backlash
[NYPOST] The boss of Levi Strauss — the nation’s oldest jeans company — said he intends to grow its gender neutral line of denim products because there’s "consumer appetite for that."

CEO Chip Bergh shook off any fears of a Bud Light-type backlash against his 170-year-old company as he revealed the the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
-based brand is "slowly" building out unisex clothing options.

"We know that some women buy some men’s products and some men buy women’s products. We know that that goes on, we’ve got the research and the data to show it," Bergh said during an Axios BFD event in San Francisco on Wednesday.

Bergh, sporting a denim-on-denim look, promoted Levi’s gender neutral efforts in response to a question that referenced "Bud Light’s recent marketing stunt."

"How do you market products in a world where people are more aware of their gender identities?" asked moderator Hope King, Axios’s senior business news hound, according to Mail Online.

King also referenced "a recent study" that revealed "about 1% of adults currently describe themselves as transgender, non-binary, non-conforming (or) gender fluid."

The 65-year-old Levi’s CEO didn’t address the Bud Light controversy, but instead shared that Levi’s "actually has a gender neutral line."
Meh. Levis started when they made poorly fitted, hard wearing work wear, worn primarily by men who had most of the dirty jobs, but also by women doing farm work and such at need. When I was a girl we middle class females picked up the style, helping it adjust to more rounded anatomies by putting the things on wet and letting them stretch and dry into shape, and taking tucks in waistbands as necessary to fix the gap. Then different brands came to specialize in different body shapes — Calvin Klein requires particularly unmuscular glutes, for instance. Now Levis is parading reversion to its original single bad fit for all, after having gone too far into various shapes and styles? Their original virtue was as clothing for the common, working person... now they want to be seen as catering to the 1% of the market that is both neurotic and deliberately, unattractively unstylish? Welcome to market oblivion, guys — the Harvard Business School case study will be fascinating.

Nor will we. These three products have immediate results as they are day to day purchases. Clothing is more spread out, other than the quick hit soy beans who go out and buy a carhart beanie to be part of the in-crowd.

Have to look at August numbers for winter clothing stock actual vs. trendline covid adjusted.

Levi's went woke wayback. I think they already had chased off everyone but rich leftest daughters larping as country to hit on Mommy's stable boys.

As it happens, two weekends ago I was over one of their houses (buying weed from her) and I called her on it, because I'm an asshole at heart. She's like 'yeah, we checked you out.' Hope this shit can translate to Wranglers or I'll keep being a Masshole and wear shorts into December.

...born Caryn Elaine Johnson, a homely American culterral icon on the same tier of significance as Alfalfa, Lupe Velez, or Pia Zadora, only without Alfalfa's singing voice, Zadora's lovely butt, or Velez' Mexican Spitfiree personality. She pontificates regularly on national television, spewing lefty blather and utttering gaffes at nearly the same rate as Joe The Big Guy Biden whom she purports to admire. She was once married to some white guy, but he appeared in blackface once and was never heard from again...
is done speaking about her fart incident on "The View," claiming "there was never an issue" on Wednesday morning’s episode.
"We're gonna have special guest Eric Swallwell."
"Before we get started, I want to put something to bed with the two of you [Sunny Hostin and Andy Cohen]," she said. "A sound was made on the table, and that’s what it was. We don’t need to bring it up ever again, anywhere. OK? We’re good?"

"The View" host allegedly let one rip while on the daytime talk show on March 15.

As she reportedly audibly passed gas, her co-hosts could not help but laugh out loud on air, pointing Goldberg out as the culprit.

She quickly claimed her toot, saying "That was gas," while the audience joined in on the laughter.

Although the EGOT winner owned up to cutting the cheese, many people still questioned if it was her.

...the somehow spoilt brat who managed not to understand discretion despite being a second generation intelligence guy, sharing copies of all sorts of interesting things with his international online gaming group...
a 21-year-old low-ranking member of the Air National Guard accused of taking advantage of his clearance.

Democratic and Republican US senators introduced legislation on Wednesday to overhaul the vast security clearance system for protecting national secrets, spurred by damaging document leaks allegedly by a 21-year-old airman and the discovery of classified materials at top officials' homes.

Led by Democratic Senator Mark Warner, chairman of the Senate intelligence committee, the lawmakers said the current system classifies far too many documents and gives access to secret information to far too many people.
Sounds good but I'm not convinced Warner is a good guy. At all.
"That combination of overclassification and then too many people having clearances has led us to this problem," Warner told a news conference. He said more than 4 million people in the United States now have security clearance.

Warner, fellow Democrat Ron Wyden and Republicans John Cornyn and Jerry Moran introduced two bills addressing the issue. Among other things, they would tighten the rules for deciding what would be classified and set a 25-year limit for how long most documents would stay that way.

"Our democracy, our ability to govern ourselves, depends on the public getting access to information about what our government is doing and what government officials are doing," Cornyn said, adding that he expected the effort would get broad support.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has also appointed special counsels to investigate the handling of classified records by Republican former President Donald Trump and the handling of classified records from his time as vice president by current Democratic President Joe Biden.

The path forward for the bills was not immediately clear but the senators said they hoped the recent attention on the clearance issue would help.

"This is a piece of legislation that can become law and it is desperately needed for that to happen," Moran said.

My hunch has always been LHO was a double agent. The knowledge that a presidential assassin was on the payroll of the US Intelligence Community (IC) might still be viewed as unseemly, even by today's standards.

Ok, so call me a much older Alex Jones, but that's my hunch. Furthermore, I doubt LHO has been the 'only' IC asset who has gone bad.

Just as an aside, one of the most significant challenges with the business of espionage and recruited agent handling is asset CONTROL.

Italy Looking to Leave China's ‘Belt and Road' Global Domination Scheme
[Breitbart] The Italian government of Giorgia Meloni is reportedly preparing to leave Communist China’s Belt and Road global domination scheme within the coming months.

In 2019, under the stewardship of then-technocratic Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, Italy became the first, and so far only, G7 nation to sign up to Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative, which Beijing uses to ensnare nations throughout the world under its boot through debt trap diplomacy tactics.

Now the populist-minded government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni faces a decision on Italy’s continued participation in the Chinese scheme, with the country’s membership set to automatically renew itself in March of next year unless Rome decides to pull out before then.

According to a report from Bloomberg, during a meeting with U.S. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy in the Italian capital last week, Meloni relayed that although no final decision has been made, her government is intent on exiting the Belt and Road Initiative by the end of the year.

In a tacit confirmation of the reports on the reports following a visit with Czech President Petr Pavel in Prague on Wednesday, Meloni did not deny that such plans were in the works but reiterated that a final decision has yet to be agreed to.

“[It] is a decision that we have not yet taken, it is an open debate in which I believe that the actors to be involved should be many and at various levels, including Parliament,” the Italian PM told reporters according to the Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper.

“There are still several months to make this decision, which is a delicate decision. In the past, I did not share the choice made by the Conte government but today it must be handled very carefully because it is a situation that affects many international dynamics.”
Which means the decision has already been made, but they don’t want to deal with the ensuing temper tantrums.

FBI refuses to turn over unclassified informant report that alleges Biden accepted bribes from foreign national
[BLAZE] The Federal Bureau of Investigation refused Wednesday to comply with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena that required the agency to turn over an unclassified informant report alleging that President Biden accepted bribes from a foreign national while he was vice president, the New York Post reported.

Last week, the House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena for an FBI file, FD-1023, that "describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions," Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Senate Budget Committee ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) wrote in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray.

"We have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures," Comer and Grassley stated.

The informant report was "created or modified in June 2020," several months before Biden was declared the winner of the presidential election.

The FBI was required to turn over the document by noon Wednesday and provide proof that the bureau investigated the allegations. However, Comer said the agency "failed to do both."

Dozens of Churches Burned, 35,000 Displaced in North India Anti-Christian Riots
[Breitbart] Riots in northeastern India’s state of Manipur have killed 62 people over the past week and driven some 35,000 from their homes.

The situation is a wild free-for-all battle between some 30 different tribes and the Meitei, the state’s ethnic majority.

Police and military forces were sent in to stabilize the situation, and by Tuesday had begun escorting some displaced residents back to their homes, or the burned ruins of their homes.

“The situation is slowly limping back to normal,” said Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Tuesday. “We shall order a high-level probe to enquire into the violent clashes.”

On the other hand, state lawmaker Lorho S. Pfoze said the situation in Manipur remains “extremely tense,” and “victims are scared to return to their villages as they fear clashes could erupt again.”

The Meitei Hindus are the majority group in Manipur, tracing their lineage back to the first century A.D. when the state was an independent kingdom. Hinduism began to spread among the Meitei during the 15th Century and it eventually became the official religion of the kingdom, displacing a local faith called Sanamahi.

Most of the other ethnic groups in Manipur turned to Christianity.

Manipur, which lies along the border of what is now called Myanmar, was conquered by the Burmese for some time and annexed by India in 1949. It was formally incorporated as the 19th state of India in 1972.

This turbulent history nourished restless modern-day politics. The Meitei have some separatist insurgent groups and those separatists harbor lingering animosity toward the many smaller tribes living in the province, accusing them of not doing enough to preserve Manipur’s independence after the Indian annexation. Some of the tribes are themselves separatists who believe they deserve homelands distinct from both India and the Meitei – and these smaller tribes often view each other as competitors for land, influence, and government funding.

The tribes generally believe the Meitei majority commands too much power and money in Manipur, while the Meitei resent the central government’s insistence on setting aside ancestral lands and jobs for tribal residents.

A unique quirk of Meitei culture is that they insist on living in Manipur’s valleys, near its rivers, which figure prominently in their religious observances. The tribes, comprising about a third of the state’s population, mostly live in the rougher hill country. Manipur has a long history of violent scuffles between the hill and valley dwellers, and occasionally between different hill tribes.

Last week, over 50,000 mostly Christian tribal residents demonstrated in the state capital of Imphal against a Meitei demand for special legal status and benefits from the Indian government. The Meitei want India to reserve less land and fewer government jobs for tribal residents, shutting down affirmative action programs that have been running for decades.

In April, the high court in Manipur asked the central government to designate the Meitei as a “scheduled tribe.” The existing scheduled tribes vehemently opposed this request, arguing the Meitei are the largest and richest group in the state.

The tribes suspected the Meitei demands would find favor with the Hindu nationalist BJP party that holds power in New Delhi. BJP and an even more energetically nationalist offshoot, the RSS, have aggressively courted the Meitei to expand their political influence in Manipur.

“The tribal and non-tribal groups have had a history of jealousy over the distribution of economic resources and opportunities, but this time their anger just could not be contained,” observed Khuraijam Athouba, one of the Manipur politicians attempting to negotiate peace between the feuding groups.

The tribes were also angered by a state government program that began in February to push tribal communities out of forested hill terrain that was reserved for state use. The state government had other uses in mind for the forests, it suspected large numbers of illegal migrants from Myanmar – who have some ethnic affinity for the neighboring tribes of Manipur – were living there and it suspected tribal folk were growing illegal drugs in the forests, including marijuana and opium poppies. The tribes bitterly resented government efforts to drive them from their ancestral lands.

It is not clear who threw the first punch at the demonstrations in Imphal and Churachandpur, a district dominated by the Christian Kuki tribe, but on May 3 the protests erupted into staggering violence that quickly spread into the hill country.

Christians in Manipur said Meitei mobs burned dozens of churches and hundreds of homes. A mob broke into Manipur University, which is administered by the Christian Kuki tribe, to the astonishment of its staff. Teachers at the university said no security personnel were deployed to protect the facility, which was an obvious target because so many of the tribal demonstrators were students.

Kolkata University academic Ngaineilam Haokip, who hails from Manipur, said Hindu Meitei mobs also turned against Christian Meiteis.

“They targeted their own brethren who follow Christ by burning their churches,” Haokip told Christianity Today (CT) the day after the anti-Christian riots began.

“If this is not a pogrom, what is?” a Christian leader in Manipur told CT, asking to remain anonymous because he feared for his safety.

“They are burning churches when the protest rally was simply against the inclusion of Meiteis as Scheduled Tribe by All Tribal Student Union Manipur (ATSUM). There is definitely a religious angle here,” he said.

CT cited reports some of the violence was triggered by outrage over vandalism and arson. Retaliatory attacks quickly escalated between tribal and non-tribal youth gangs. The tribals lost these battles, in part because eyewitnesses said the Meitei Hindu groups were suspiciously well-armed and prepared for violence.

“Tribals were not prepared for a war. They were holding peace rallies against the demand for Scheduled Tribe status by Meiteis. The Meiteis on the other hand, were planning for this kind of confrontation for a long time, it seems. They collected gun licenses and guns and then lit the fire,” Haokip said.

On Sunday, the Indian Army said it acted professionally and impartially to end the spiraling violence, after each side of the conflict accused the Army of aiding the other. The Army said roughly equal numbers of Meiteis and tribals were sheltered in relief camps.

The Syro Malabar Catholic Church in Manipur on Thursday criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for remaining silent while homes and churches were burned and said other Christian organizations in India were handling the crisis very delicately because they wanted to maintain good relations with the Modi government.

The Syro Malabar church said the crisis in Manipur could be seen as ethnic cleansing or even genocide, and urged Christians across India to speak out more forcefully against it.
