Thanks JerseyMike. Interesting piece. It seems that there is no Europeanization of the Muslims but there tends to be an Islamization of Europe, i.e. the culture goes in one direction. There seems to be little acceptance of other cultures in the Islam world. The culture and religion seems to have at its core world domination. This is the face of the enemy.

As much as I would still like to see any post-disaster infrastructure rebuild be tied to visible compliance in the war against terrorism, I can only applaud this administration's decision to extend American help on American terms. Allowing the corrupt United Nations to take even an iota of credit by repackaging American aid under their own auspices would be morally bankrupt.
If America is going to assist these (in part) hostile countries, then we had best make sure that those receiving any such aid know quite clearly where it is coming from. Although I hold little hope that most aid recipients will carry away a lasting positive impression of America's benevolence, it is still a far better chance to take than relying upon the help of such self-aggrandizing maggots like Kofi Annan and his ilk.

there is the tactic of taking credit for assistance provided by others. The UN claims that they have set up an "air-freight handling centre" in Aceh, according to UN Undersecretary Egeland
The UN is about less than worthless. They could not manage a wet dream without corruption.
