#1 F. Scott Fitzgerald once remarked to Ernest Hemingway, "The rich are different from you and me."

And thus it is with Arabs -- being different, that is, heh.

#2 Among the stories passed on by word of mouth are tales of miracles (krama) according to which Allah aids the fighters and guides them in their war against the infidels. One story tells of a man who saw a large bird glowing above electric wires, calling out loud: "Allah huAkbar"[1].... These stories instill in the rebels a feeling of spiritual and moral elevation, and the belief that no army can defeat them. Even the American bombings of rebel strongholds in the city are, according to them, unsuccessful in undermining their euphoric feelings.

Well that sort of describes the kind of things that happens to people when they don't "just say no."

#3 Soldiers found "unbelievable amounts of drugs" in some terrorist safe houses, including heroin, amphetamines and cocaine. "It turns out the enemy drugged themselves up to give them the courage and stupidity to stay and fight," the soldier said.

Lol - some of the goodies in the bag will have that "vision" thingy attached to the good feelings!

#4 Soldiers found "unbelievable amounts of drugs" in some terrorist safe houses, including heroin, amphetamines and cocaine. "It turns out the enemy drugged themselves up to give them the courage and stupidity to stay and fight," the soldier said

Short version: "We found three kinds of goggles."

#5 Funny how this article combines two major contradictory myths: if the US doesn't lay siege, it's weak and defeated, but if it does, it's cruel and inhumane.

#6 More "Baathist redux" spin, to deny Bushie anti-secularism.

Read my lips: THE SAME IDEOLOGUES WHO HIT THE WTC AND PENTAGON ON 9-11, ARE MURDERING US TROOPS IN IRAQ. The jihadis would be on the run if Bushies were not ideologically blinded to the need to effect a disproportionate counter-response to each act of terror. Islamofascist hearts and minds are targets, for bullets.

#7 F. Scott Fitzgerald once remarked to Ernest Hemingway, "The rich are different from you and me."

Marx: Yes, they have money.
