Retired General Steven M. Anderson blasts Trump supporters in the military, calling them a ‘threat from within'
[The Republic Brief] Former General Anderson warned in his op-ed of Donald Trump supporters in the military, calling them a threat and urging them to stop listening to ’The Pillow Guy’, Trump associate and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

In an interview with CNN, Anderson discussed the upcoming 2024 elections and the threat of more rebellions. Anderson called Lindell a major source of misinformation and suggested that Trump supporters should become knowledgeable about right and wrong in politics.

The former General clearly has some hatred for anyone who supports former President Trump and further stated, ’There’s a threat within’ as he’s concerned there’s a real chance Trump will win again in 2024.

’We’ve got some people that just haven’t been educated. They haven’t been found out, and they’ve grown in power, through perhaps inaction on the parts of some of our key leaders.’

#1  Yes, Lindell is now selling house slippers. He simply must be stopped. Thank you CNN.

#2  He's concerned Trump will win re-election? Why does he oppose the lawful, peaceful transfer of power?

#3  ....I really think the number of stories we've seen like this lately is a number of retired lefty GOs suddenly realizing just how much military power is in the hands of Governors, soldiers, and airmen who might not do what they're told.

Andy Biggs ‐ Carrying a Gun Is Part of Being a ‘Free American'
[Breitbart] Breitbart News interviewed Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) at Turning Point USA’s Americafest and he told us carrying guns for self-defense is critical to the American experience because the founders placed such high value on life.

We asked Biggs, “Why is it important that I can own a gun, carry a gun, that your wife can own a gun, carry a gun, that my wife can do the same. Why is this important?”

He responded by pointing out two reasons, the first of which he described as the “philosophical reason.”

Biggs outlined, “The Founders said this is what we need to have to preserve a free form of government. Their position was, you need to be able to have this militia, this group of citizens, because you don’t want the government to be putting their thumb down on you, because they are just coming out of King George doing that, so that’s number one.”

He then explained: “The second thing is when you start talking about my wife or me or someone else, we’re talking about self-defense, and the first liberty is the right to life. So, if you can’t defense yourself against the bad guys you start looking like the 12 cities in America that have the highest homicide rate in their history.”

Biggs added, “You don’t want to look like that. You don’t want to look like Venezuela. You want to be a free American and the way to be free and reduce crime is to allow people to carry guns.”

Europe
French 75mm of 1897
From the video description:
[MilitaryFactory] The French 75 is widely regarded as the first modern artillery piece. It was the first field gun to include a hydro-pneumatic recoil mechanism, which kept the gun's trail and wheels perfectly still during the firing sequence.

Since it did not need to be re-aimed after each shot, the crew could reload and fire as soon as the barrel returned to its resting position. In typical use the French 75 could deliver fifteen rounds per minute on its target, either shrapnel or high-explosive, up to about 8,500 m (5.3 mi) away. Its firing rate could even reach close to 30 rounds per minute, albeit only for a very short time and with a highly experienced crew.

The concept for the gun anticipated future conflict being a war of manoeuver - with massed infantry and cavalry attacks - based on the experience of the wars of 1870-1872. Consequently the gun was designed to be able to be moved easily, set up quickly and fire antipersonnel shells (shrapnel) rapidly, and without the need to reset the carriage after each shot.

Two critical components were the cased ammunition (shell and cartridge as a single unit) and a recoil system that completely absorbed the recoil forces and returned the gun to its original position without disturbing the gun’s position.

This animation shows the actions necessary to prepare the gun from its 'travelling' state to operational state. The carriage has to be ‘locked’ into a fixed position and levelled. The operation of shrapnel shells depends upon setting a time fuse to explode the shell just in front of an attacking force, to shower them with balls, and demonstrates the French Débouchoir mechanical fuse setter that allowed time fuses to be set rapidly and accurately.

The liquid(oil) and air (pneumatic) recoil mechanism used a ‘floating piston’ - on one side hydraulic oil and on the other compressed air. The design must keep these two separated while allowing the free piston to move rapidly. The French design laid great emphasis on seals made of silver - being soft enough to conform to the sleeve housing, but as reported by the US when they started manufacturing the 75mm, the key element was highly precise machining of the sleeve housing the free piston.

The French 75mm of 1897 was of less use with the introduction of trench warfare, where Howitzers and mortars being the primary artillery, but the 75mm retained some value, one use being firing shrapnel shells at aircraft. A longer time fuse had to be developed to reach the altitude that some aircraft flew at.

#3  #2 They were mounted on half-tracks and used as anti-tank guns in North AfricaPosted by: Deacon Blues 2022-01-03 12:46

...It's been pointed out that at the beginning of WWII, the 75 was probably the best anti-tank weapon on the planet. The French had thousands of them stored away along with enough ammo to keep them firing for months - had they the imagination to picture the Germans coming through the 'impassable' Ardnennes, deploying them there (Hell, deploying them ANYWHWERE) would have drastically changed the Battle of France.

The cost of war

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

You can read the full report in English here (PDF)

[ColonelCassad] The wars unleashed by the United States since September 11, 2001, have displaced 38 million civilians.
As opposed to the wars that the other guys had been waging, acknowledged only in Arabic or other native tongues, either against The Big Satan or against other benighted natives?
Which is the second result in world history. Only World War II led to more refugees.

Direct military aggression, the so-called "fight against terrorism", which led to the creation of ISIS, economic strangulation - all this led to catastrophic consequences for the population of a number of states in the Middle East, as well as North Africa, forcing ordinary people to flee their homes. cities, villages and states to other countries.

According to the report of the Watson Institute for International Studies (an interdisciplinary research center at Brown University, USA, Rhode Island) and with the assistance of Boston University:

1. Afghanistan - 5.9 million refugees
2. Pakistan - 3.7 million refugees
3. Yemen - 4.6 million refugees
4. Somalia - 4.3 million refugees
5. Philippines - 1.8 million refugees
6. Libya - 1.2 million refugees
7. Syria - 7.1 million refugees

The report is based on data from 2001 to 2020 + some data collected already in 2021.

It was based on UN data, American documents and information from open sources.

At the same time, the report itself indicates that 38,000,000 is a very conservative estimate and in reality, the figure can reach from 49,000,000 to 60,000,000, which actually reaches the indicators of the Second World War.

Of the 38,000,000 displaced persons 20 years ago, 26.7 million people were able to return (which does not mean that they returned to the same house or city, only the return to the territory of the country from which people fled from the war is taken into account).

All countries covered in the report were part of the target group of countries to be "rebuilt" as part of the 2007 Greater Middle East Transformation Project.

To these processes can be added a huge number of refugees from Ukraine after the US-supported coup d'état and the civil war unleashed there.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Lebanon may be getting tired of Hezbollah
[JPost] Perhaps wishful thinking, but let it happen.
Parliamentary elections in Lebanon that are scheduled for next year will be the first vote since the popular protests were launched in 2019.

First, it was Gebran Bassil, leader of the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) and the son-in-law of Lebanon’s President Michel Aoun, who attacked the Shia Islamist political party Hezbollah and said that there would be "political consequences" for its actions against his party as it continues blocking the Cabinet from meeting.
