[Tri-City Herald] A woman riding on the back of a motorcycle was arrested after she struck a car with a baton and pulled out a gun during a Friday road rage confrontation, said the Washington State Patrol. The angry exchange began in Pasco, continued south across the blue bridge and along Highway 395 in Kennewick about 10 a.m. Friday morning. Marlene Perry McCreary, 47, of Spokane, was a passenger on a motorcycle when she thought the driver of a Honda Civic was trying to block the bike from exiting from the westbound lanes of Interstate 182 to Highway 395, WSP Trooper Sarah Clasen told the Herald. McCreary believed the driver of the Civic were speeding up and blocking them from getting into the exit lane, Clasen said. Investigators say McCreary then pulled out a baton and hit the hood of the Civic after they crossed the bridge into Kennewick.

[FOX] The Chicago monuments project advisory committee recommended Friday that the city permanently remove its three Christopher Columbus statues and the Balbo Monument.
The panel also advised the city to consider altering or removing around 40 other monuments.
It remains to be seen whether the city will follow the recommendations, but Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot suggested in May that she would ignore them.
The mayor established the committee following racial justice protests in 2020 and a violent clash with police in which demonstrators attempted to take down the Columbus statue in Grant Park.

Parents, alumnae and donors of an elite all-girls school in Tennessee are calling for the resignation of those involved with implementing, then pausing, a policy which would allow biological males who identify as female to apply to the school.
"We are writing to you today as an expression of a belief that the Harpeth Hall Board of Trust and the school administration has been more focused on political activism than on educating our girls," the letter, obtained by Fox News Digital, said. "Current events are simply a symptom of that activism."
Last week, in an email to parents, Harpeth Hall announced a new "Gender Diversity Philosophy" explaining a new admissions policy, which would allow "any student who identifies as a girl" to apply to the school.
Earlier Thursday, they paused that policy after facing backlash from members of the community.
The letter from parents, donors and alumnae went on to criticize the way the school handled communication of the updated policy, saying it "repeatedly seek[s] to divide us and fragment us with one-way, filtered zoom calls in which you push only your message - failing to answer many important questions of your stakeholders."
The authors of the letter also said the school did not provide a town hall forum, which was "requested by more than 1,000 members of the Harpeth Hall community."
"We call today for the resignation of members of the administration board who have been proponents or enablers of political activism and division," the letter continued, calling specifically for the departure of the board chair and executive committee, among others. "We will withhold all financial contributions to the school until this action takes place.
The letter also stated that the authors will submit to the board "the name of a female leader to be named the Chair of the Board, effective immediately, so that she can begin the process of reconstructing the school as a place of excellence."
Harpeth Hall dates its history to 1865 and is an elite college prep school for girls grades 5-12. Notable alumni of the school include actress Reese Witherspoon and singer Amy Grant.
Harpeth Hall did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

My sister went to an all women’s college. I visited it during her graduation. I don’t think they have been sane institutions for many decades. Paying big dollars to attend them seems like tipping the valet at WalMart, a senseless act that will, at best, confuse an employee taking a smoke break.

This guy is beyond belief, nobody fired him for anything. He just can't be hired. Actors have to be bonded for projects. Things like felonies and even arrests or car wrecks can either nullify the bond or make them un-bondable in the first place.
With potential manslaughter/murder charges pending, who would bond him. Then there is that nagging 'detail' of having shot that poor woman at point blank range for no apparent reason in front of a crew of witnesses.

[Shafaq News] Egyptian Public Prosecution’s investigations concluded that the fire that broke out in recently burned the Abu Seifein Church Giza was not intentional and was caused by a short-circuit.
Investigations confirmed that the cause of the fire was a short-circuit in the generator feeding the church, which led to the spread of the fire to the rest of the church.
The generator was turned on due to a power outage in the church. A defect in the electrical connections coming out of the generator — which were installed five years ago — and the increased loads on it, resulted in the outbreak of the fire.
The Public Prosecution concluded investigations after asking thirty-three witnesses — including sixteen injured — who confirmed the outbreak of the fire after turning on the generator due to the power outage in the church.
According to investigations, the fire broke out in the storage room located on the second floor of the church.
Forty-one people were killed and 14 others were maimed in the Church of Abu Seifein fire on Sunday.
On Monday, the Ministry of Social Solidarity announced the start of paying compensation to the families of the victims and injured in the accident.
The family of the dear departed will receive LE 100,000, the injured who spent more than 72 hours in the hospital will recieve LE 20,000, and those who spent lesser period will get LE10,000.
The Armed Forces Engineering Authority began restoration work at the church.

[Dawn] Punjabi has ranked second after Mandarin among the non-official languages, spoken predominately at home, by the largest number of people in Canada, new census data released by Statistics Canada has revealed.
The 2021 census, released on August 18, found that 4.6 million Canadians speak predominantly a language other than official English or French languages at home, among them Urdu has become the fifth top language in the ranking of 12 spoken languages in Canada.
The number of people whose mother tongue is Mandarin or Punjabi, the two most spoken languages nationwide, has grown significantly, with the former increasing from roughly 610,000 in 2016 to 730,000 in 2021 and the latter increasing from 543,000 to 763,000. The Punjabis counted in the census have come mainly from India, speaking gormukhii Punjabi.

[FOX] Border Patrol agents on Wednesday opened a gate that had previously been locked by members of the Texas National Guard, in order to allow a number of illegal immigrants deeper into the United States.
Fox News witnessed members of the guard close and lock the gate, which is situated on private property and had previously been open, to deny entry to migrants who had crossed illegally and were expecting to be allowed into the U.S.
The illegal immigrants were then seen standing outside the gate waiting to be allowed in, with the Texas National Guard watching on.
A short time later, Border Patrol agents appeared with a key and opened the door, allowing the migrants to get through and be processed into the U.S. immigration system. Perhaps the Texas National Guard should be patrolling the Mexican side of the border.

"Our trial suggests that metformin may reduce the likelihood of needing to go to the emergency room or be hospitalized for COVID-19."
Bramante noted that this was a secondary outcome of the trial; the primary outcome included whether someone had low oxygen on a home oxygen monitor, and none of the medications in the trial prevented the primary outcome.
The COVID-OUT trial was the nation's first to study whether metformin, a medication for type 2 diabetes; low-dose fluvoxamine, an antidepressant; and ivermectin, an antiparasitic, or their combinations could serve as possible treatments to prevent ER visits or hospitalization, as well as Long-COVID.
The study design was simple—patients were randomly assigned to receive one of the three drugs individually, placebo, or a combination of metformin and fluvoxamine or metformin and ivermectin. Although the study was placebo-controlled with exact-matching placebo pills, Dr. Bramante says 83% of volunteers received medications supported by existing data because of the six-arm design. Each participant received 2 types of pills to keep their treatment assignment masked, for 3 to 14 days of treatment. Each volunteer tracked their symptoms, and after 14 days, they completed a survey.
And therefore will be pilloried by our elites (and media).
