Amish Farmer Targeted by Govt for Operating Outside Reach of USDA Regulations
[Last Refuge] An interesting story promoted by Rebel News, highlights the plight of an Amish farmer who operates a private market club for his products. Because his crops, dairy and beef are not sold to the ’general public,’ and only to those who are members of the private food club, Amos Miller contends he should not be subject to USDA regulations.

Miller’s organic farm operates on century old farming practices. His farm uses no electricity, no tractors, no diesel, no gasoline, and he produces exceptional all natural yields which people are willing to pay top dollar to purchase.

Additionally, because Mr. Miller doesn’t use chemical fertilizer or fuel, his farm has not been impacted by the increased costs that have hit industrial farms. He and his customers are completely unaffected by outside influence.

However, a federal judge ruled that despite his closed members-only market, he must have USDA inspectors for his beef and cattle slaughter processes. Miller does not want to use the regulated and required pharmaceutical antibiotics, and other regulatory processes required by the USDA. He now faces jail time and a $300,000 fine. Who are our redlines for?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian writer Pavel Kukhmirov

[Sevastopol] No one is so swaggering as a coward who believes in his own impunity.

The news feed of yesterday was one of the most eloquent of all recent times. The most striking media events in it were the latest explosions in the Crimea. Which, this time, did not write off on someone's "thrown cigarette butt" and honestly recognized as sabotage. But this is only an episode in a whole series of events.

To quote one of the TG channels:

"1. According to the FSB, in the Kursk region, Ukrainian saboteurs blew up power transmission towers through which the Kursk NPP supplies industrial facilities, transport, social infrastructure and the population of this and neighboring regions.

2. Explosions at a military warehouse in the Crimean Dzhankoy were also called the work of saboteurs in the Russian Defense Ministry.

3. On the day of the Navy, the DRG worked on the headquarters of the Fleet in Sevastopol.

4. After that, there were explosions in Novofedorovka, however, the Ministry of Defense then reported that "there was no fire impact on the airfield" “

The Kursk region here is a spectacular cherry on the cake. Showing that, in addition to the obvious “desacralization” of Crimea (for the tourism economy of which peace and quiet are the main capital), Ukraine is transferring its tactics of nuclear terrorism to the territory of greater Russia.

But both she and her (and our) dear "Western partners" for this were reminded almost of the "doomsday" in response.

So I (and not only I) have a question in connection with this: are these “red lines” already or not yet? Well, he's rhetorical: obviously not.

Then where do they even lie, these same “red lines”?

This is just the wrong question.

And rightly, it seems like this: for whom are they really, these “red lines”? ..

It would be logical to assume that for Ukraine and other "dear partners". Moreover, the one who uttered this phrase was addressed specifically to them.

But, as they say, not everything is so simple.

Do you know what personally stuck in my memory on that day when I simultaneously learned about the explosions in the Crimea, about the new shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and about the attempts of nuclear terror in the Kursk region?

Frames that quite accidentally caught my eye in Telegram: an excerpt from Mr. Kuleba's interview with Mr. Gordon *. Where they calmly and imposingly talked about the murder of Russians, about that very nuclear terror and other no less "wonderful" things.

And what impressed me was not even WHAT they said, but HOW they did it. Calmly. Relaxed. With an absolute sense of their own impunity. With absolute certainty in the absence of even the theoretical possibility of retribution.

They waddled along the street at the moment when the Ukrainian special services unleashed real terror in the liberated territories against people collaborating with Russia.

They are not afraid of any "red lines".

Not because they are brave. On the contrary, no one is as swaggering as a coward who believes in his own impunity.

And not even because the characters of their warehouse perceive any threats that are not confirmed by immediate violent action as a weakness.

And this too, but it is not the main thing.

And the main thing is different: these "red lines" are not for them.

They are for the Russian elite itself. For those who voice the words about the "red lines."

I won't beat around the bush. On February 24, the ruling community did what it had to. But she still can't believe it herself. At least in its significant part. And in this part, it still toils with the thought that it is still possible to agree.

No wonder: some have wanted their “elite entry into the West” for so long, and now it turns out that the West does not need them. Such people simply cannot help but want to "return everything back." And over and over again they are naturally beaten in the face, making it clear that no, it will not work out to agree.

"Red lines" are a kind of point of no return, beyond which this community is obliged, but afraid. It leads a constant internal dialogue with itself, like someone on the verge of hysteria: maybe not? Despite the fact that in the depths of his soul he knows - it is necessary.

And still hope for something. And it frightens itself with those very "red lines." Of course it looks weird.

Let the Crimeans forgive me, but there is a positive in what happened. The more “evidence of negotiability” of the enemy, the sooner the decision makers will stop internal dialogues and do what is necessary. That is, they will decide in response to go beyond the "red lines," which did not exist for the opposite side from the very beginning.

I would like this to happen sooner. Because the "internal dialogue" bleeds. Not those who lead it.

China-Japan-Koreas
From My Anguished Heart‐A Letter to My Daughter
[China File] In early July 2020, Xu Zhangrun was detained for supposedly having "solicited prostitutes" during a trip with friends to Sichuan in late 2019. He was being persecuted for his unsparing critiques of Xi Jinping, starting in July 2018. The charge against him was spurious and the kind of legalized calumny often used by the authorities to silence critics. While he was held in custody, Tsinghua University fired him from his position as a professor of law, a job that he had held for two decades. The university also notified Xu that he had been stripped of his pension and all accrued benefits; the authorities even canceled his accreditation as an educator, meaning that he was no longer employable. To add insult to injury, Tsinghua ordered him to vacate his apartment on the university campus. An outcry both in China and internationally possibly influenced a decision to release him a few days after he was detained, and as soon as he regained his freedom Xu issued further broadsides aimed at the authorities. Over the following eight months—part of the Lunar Gengzi Year of the Rat, according to the traditional Chinese calendar—he published a series of uncompromising essays written in an epistolary style. On February 11, 2021, the eve of the Xinchou Year of the Ox, he posted the introduction to a collection of those essays titled Ten Letters from a Plague Year.

ChinaFile has previously published two letters in the series: "A Letter to My Editors and to China’s Censors" and "A Farewell to My Students." The following letter is addressed to the writer’s daughter, who, having just completed her doctoral studies in Australia, was about to return to Beijing. In July 2022, Xu Zhangrun was still waiting for a response.

Economy
Something is Looming Geopolitically, and We Better Start Taking It Seriously
[ConservativeTreehouse] Never before in the history of industrialized nations has any government intentionally tried to lower its economic activity. It has never been done with intent before because within the contraction nations get more poor, people suffer.

Not only has no single nation ever tried to intentionally shrink its wealth, but there is no precedent whatsoever for an alliance of nations to join together with the same purpose. While this might seem like an academic economic modeling exercise, unfortunately it is very real. What I am describing is happening right now, and we had better start talking about it before the unforeseen consequences start to become a crisis.

In North America (U.S-Canada), Europe and Australia, there will continue to be massive increases in food prices as a result of the collapse in energy production. Beyond the western nations there will be food shortages as a result of lowered harvest yields and less industrial food production. This is not controversial.

It is also not controversial that regions with harsh winter climates are going to be paying much more for scarce heating resources.

That being accepted, what happens geopolitically, even militarily, when the entire global economy starts to feel the impacts from western nation economic contraction on a scale -created by collective action- that has never been seen before.

Europe
German Official Trashes Cost of Living Protesters as 'Enemies of the State'
[Summit] Says they’re extremists who want to overthrow the government.

A top German official has trashed people who may be planning to protest against energy blackouts as "enemies of the state" and "extremists" who want to overthrow the government.

The interior minister of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Herbert Reul (CDU), says that anti-mandatory vaxx and anti-lockdown demonstrators have found a new cause — the energy crisis.
Each an anti-totalitarian impulse...
In an interview with German news outlet NT, Reul revealed that German security services were keeping an eye on "extremists" who plan to infiltrate the protests and stage violence, with the unrest being planned via the Telegram messenger app, which German authorities have previously tried to ban.

"You can already tell from those who are out there," said Reul. "The protesters no longer talk about coronavirus or vaccination. But they are now misusing people’s worries and fears in other fields. (...) It’s almost something like new enemies of the state that are establishing themselves."
“Know your place, peasants!”
Despite the very real threat of potential blackouts, power grid failures and gas shortages, Reul claimed such issues were feeding "conspiracy theory narratives."

However, it’s no "conspiracy theory" that Germans across the country have been panic buying stoves, firewood and electric heaters as the government tells them thermostats will be limited to 19C in public buildings and that sports arenas and exhibition halls will be used as ’warm up spaces’ this winter to help freezing citizens who are unable to afford skyrocketing energy bills.

As Remix News reports, blaming right-wing conspiracy theorists for a crisis caused by Germany’s sanctions on Russia and is suicidal dependence on green energy is pretty rich.

Government Corruption
Spygate Docs and Trump's RICO Lawsuit: Exploring the Real Reasons Behind the FBI Raid
[America News] Following the FBI’s raid of the residence of erstwhile President Donald Trump, there’s been overmuch speculation astir the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) motivation. Was it done to forestall Trump from moving again successful 2024, oregon was the raid related to documents and grounds surrounding the January 6th Commission? While these factors whitethorn person had immoderate bearing connected the FBI’s raid, immoderate wholly different, and perchance larger, factors whitethorn beryllium astatine play.

It is apt that the FBI’s raid connected Trump was driven by quality assemblage fears implicit accusation that was contained wrong those documents relating to the RussiaGate hoax.

The DOJ’s coordinated FBI raid of Trump was apt related to the imaginable unsealing and nationalist presumption of this information—particularly successful narration to Trump’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) suit against Hillary Clinton, the DNC, and erstwhile FBI officials similar erstwhile Director James Comey, erstwhile Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, erstwhile cause Peter Strzok, and erstwhile FBI lawyer Lisa Page—and his amended RICO suit, which added much defendants.

As caller accusation has travel to light, we’ve gained accrued assurance and present consciousness adjacent much powerfully regarding this theory. The immense breadth and scope of the hunt warrant unsocial person bolstered this theory. But that’s acold from being the lone crushed down our belief.

An Aug. 17 nonfiction from Newsweek included immoderate singular statements from 2 sources wrong the Intelligence Community.

One of these sources noted that "agents went into Trump’s residence connected the pretext that they were seeking each authorities documents...but the existent people was this backstage stash" of documents amassed by Trump, "which Justice Department officials feared Trump mightiness weaponize." The 2nd Intelligence Community root claimed that though the FBI supposedly "collected everything that rightfully belonged to the U.S. government," the existent people of the DOJ-led FBI raid was "these documents that Trump had been collecting since aboriginal successful his administration."

Both sources enactment that the "sought-after documents woody with a assortment of quality matters of interest" to Trump—"including worldly that Trump seemingly thought would exonerate him of immoderate claims of Russian collusion successful 2016 oregon immoderate different election-related charges." In different words, documents that Trump had collected and held wrong his possession that proved the RussiaGate hoax was precisely that—a hoax. One that was led by officials from wrong our nation’s highest institutions—including, but not constricted to, the FBI and the DOJ.

Although we’re mostly not successful the wont of giving much, if any, heed to sources wrong the Intelligence Community, these peculiar revelations overlay with our ain mentation and the accusation we’ve travel across. As we shall spot from events successful the timeline, Trump’s actions, and the documents helium amassed implicit time, look to person presented a precise nonstop menace to the agencies that prevarication down our government, prompting an organization effect that manifested itself successful the FBI’s Aug. 8 raid of Mar-a-Lago. In particular, the RICO suit brought by Trump successful 2022 presented a imaginable conveyance for these documents to marque their mode into the nationalist realm.

On Jan. 19, 2021, then-President Trump declassified "a binder of materials related to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation" though helium besides accepted immoderate "redactions projected for continued classificati...

Grassley to FBI Director Wray: Whistleblower Info Shows ‘Deeply Rooted Political Infection' in FBI
[LI] Senate Judiciary Ranking Member Chuck Grassley informed FBI Director Christopher Wray that the information given to him by a bunch of whistleblowers shows an "infection" within the department.

The information has Grassley concerned about the Washington Field Office (emphasis mine):
Starting on May 31, 2022, I’ve written three letters to you regarding political bias that has infected the FBI’s Washington Field Office. Two of those letters provided specific and credible allegations based on numerous whistleblowers that have approached my office with information that one can only conclude is indicative of a deeply rooted political infection that has spread to investigative activity into former President Trump and Hunter Biden. As I’ve noted both in my public letters and public statements, the FBI approved investigative activity into Trump based in substantial part on liberal news articles and information derived from a liberal non-profit yet shut down investigative activity and sources, which included verified and verifiable information, relating to Hunter Biden. The FBI has not refuted these serious allegations. Thus far, the FBI has failed to address the concerns that I’ve raised and failed to produce the requested records. The consistent failure to respond to Congress continues to erode trust in the FBI.

Grassley reminded Wray that he told the Iowa Republican when any valid tips or information goes to a U.S. Attorney’s office or local FBI field office, "we want to make sure those tips and leads are passed to the responsible office."

So now Grassley wants Wray to answer a few simple questions:

  • How can verified and verifiable information relating to Hunter Biden’s potential criminality be shared with U.S. Attorney Weiss if it is shut down?
  • How can the Hunter Biden criminal investigation be full and complete if the FBI improperly shut down verified and verifiable information and sourcing relating to potential criminal activity?
  • How can Congress and the American people trust the results?

"In light of the FBI’s failure to respond to my legitimate oversight requests, please provide a comprehensive organization chart for the Washington Field Office," wrote Grassley. "The purpose of this request is to better understand how the Washington Field Office is staffed, who is responsible for the units and squads within the office and to prepare for future congressional interviews."

I wonder if Wray will give Grassley the information. Then again, he might have to use the FBI plane for a weekend getaway.

But this is on the long list of problems at the FBI presented to him by Congressional Republicans.

In July, House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member told Wray that whistleblowers said they’re being pressured to reclassify some cases as "domestic violent extremism." Jordan said that "the revelation that the FBI may be padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous."

Whistleblowers also told Grassley about a "widespread effort to downplay or discredit negative information" about Hunter Biden.

Don’t forget that Jordan said 14 more FBI whistleblowers went to the Republicans after the raid of Mar-a-Lago: "There are lots of good people in the FBI. It’s the top that is the problem. Some of these good agents are coming to us, telling us ... what’s going on—the political nature now of the Justice Department ... talking about the school board issue, about a whole host of issues."
