#1  Anyone care to guess at the definition of "far right"?

I'm thinking that's anywhere to the right of Angela Merkel.

U.S. Arrests More Domestic Terrorism Suspects Than International - Report
[Jpost] One hundred and twenty domestic terrorism suspects were placed in durance vile
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
by the FBI in 2018, according to a report released by the Washington Post on Saturday.

The number, down 30 people from 150 in 2017, is far greater than the number of people arrested for alleged ties to international bad boy groups.

There were 110 people arrested in 2017 on suspicion of being inspired by foreign terrorist organizations such as Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
or al-Qaeda, according to figures shared with the Post showed. Of those, about 30 people faced terrorism charges in 2017 and nine faced such charges in 2018.

According to the Washington Post, since US federal law does not designate domestic groups as terrorist organizations, none of the people suspected of domestic terrorism were charged with terrorism.

A senior law enforcement official told the Post that one in four counterterrorism suspects are detained by state and local authorities.

So, who is WaPo using to determine who's the terrorist? SPLC? yeah, right.

Anti-AIPAC Protest Organizers Al-Awda Have Ties To Terrorist Groups, History Of Antisemitism
[Jpost] Al-Awda is a founding member of the GPRRC, a group of 12 organizations advocating for "Paleostinian refugees and internally displaced in Paleostine and the exile."

The al-Awda Paleostinian Refugees Right of Return organization, which is planning a major protest of the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington DC, has ties to Paleostinian terrorist organizations and its leadership has made openly antisemitic remarks.

Al-Awda, which is Arabic for "the return," calls on its website for an end to all US aid to Israel, a comprehensive boycott of Israel, the "right of return" for Paleostinian refugees and their descendants, and a Paleostinian state "in all of Paleostine," meaning one that would replace Israel. It refers to Israel in quotation marks, further signaling its unacceptance of the country’s existence. The group has chapters throughout the US.

India-Pakistan
Banned outfits labelled as high risk to meet FATF terms
[DAWN] The government has decided to upgrade a group of proscribed organizations to ’high risk’ and start monitoring and re-examining their activities and profiles under heightened security checks at all layers of legal, administrative, investigative and financial regimes to comply with the requirement of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

The Gay Paree-based global watchdog against financial crimes had expressed dissatisfaction over considering these entities as low to medium risk and said Pakistain did "not demonstrate a proper understanding of the terror financing risks posed by ISIS, AQ (Al Qaeda), Jud (Jamaat-ud-Dawa
...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba...
), FIF (Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation), LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
), JeM (Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
), HQN (Haqqani network), and persons affiliated with the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
All these entities have now been described as high-risk entities and would be subject to greater scrutiny by all agencies and institutions of the state, starting from their registration to operations and from their fund collection to bank accounts and issuance of suspicious transactions, information sharing and so on, explained an official. He said these decisions were taken at a meeting of the general council on FATF led by Finance Secretary Arif Ahmed Khan as part of a series of meetings to comply with the FATF obligations.

Pakistan is ready for war: Khan
[ALMASDARNEWS] Pak Prime Minister said the country was ready for war and its army would respond if attacked by India or "any superpower," during a speech in Chachro, in Tharparkar District on Friday.

"If someone, if it is India or any superpower, wishes to enslave the Pak nation, I want to make it clear that my nation and I will fight until the last breath to save our independence," he said. "Keep in mind; you will receive a befitting response from here."

Tensions between Pakistain and India, two nuclear-armed countries, have been rising in recent weeks, since a Pak based Death Eater group killed dozens of Indian soldiers in a suicide kaboom on February 14 in the Indian-controlled part of the disputed Kashmire region. India responded on February 26 by sending fighter jets into Pakistain for the first time since the 1970s.

India has long accused Pakistain of allowing Death Eater groups to operate in their country. In his Friday speech, Khan said the country had a policy not to allow militias in the country, which his administration would implement, unlike previous administrations.

"Unfortunately, this policy was not implemented in the recent past but after we came to power, we decided to implement the National Action Plan," said Khan.

Egyptian mediator: Progress in mediation talks between Israel, Hamas
[IsraelTimes] Official says tentative agreement would see Gazoo rulers ’freeze’ use of airborne incendiary devices in exchange for ease of economic restrictions.
That’s nice. Will Hamas control Islamic Jihad, which apparently is responsible for most of the rocket and sniper attacks in recent months?
Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, has agreed to rein in the weekly riots at the Gazoo-Israel border and put a stop to the launch of incendiary devices from the Paleostinian enclave in exchange for Israeli economic concessions, a member of the Egyptian mediation team in the Strip told the Paleostinian newspaper al-Ayyam on Saturday.

Egyptian mediators were in Gazoo this week as Cairo launched a new round of mediation between Israel and Hamas in a bid to secure a lasting ceasefire deal, amid rising tensions and incidents of violence.

Israel is ‘scared of new war’: Hezbollah leader
Big talk for someone who spends his time broadcasting from the safe space under his bed.
[ALMASDARNEWS] Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said on Friday that Israel is afraid of and unprepared for another war with his group.

"Israel is scared of a new war," he said in a televised speech dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Resistance Support Association, Hezbollah’s fund-raising organization.

"Every day you hear that Israel is not prepared for war in one way or another, and this week you saw Israel began using the American THAAD system. They don’t even trust the missile defence systems they developed themselves," he added.

It emerged on Monday that the United States deployed a Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) anti-ballistic missile battery in Israel. The THAAD system, considered one of the most advanced in the world, will be aligned with Israeli air defences.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that this move would make the Israeli military "even stronger in order to deal with near and distant threats from throughout the Middle East".

According to Nasrallah, this deployment means that Israel has doubts about its defence capabilities in case of a new conflict.
Whilst Hezb's defense is based on human shields?
In his Friday speech, Nasrallah also pledged that Hezbollah would "emerge victorious" from what he called a "financial war" waged by the United States and its allies.

"As they expected Hezbollah defeat in 2006 and got disappointed, the upcoming days will witness the Resistance
That'd be the Hezbullies, but in the U.S. it's used by anti-Trumplings...
victory in this financial war," he said, as cited by al-Manar, a Beirut-based TV station affiliated with the group.

He called on the Islamic Resistance Support Association to boost its efforts, saying that a recent event which sought to raise money for the Yemeni people collected $2 million.

Nasrallah also condemned US sanctions on Hezbollah, which in November targeted four people linked with the movement and designated his son a global terrorist and a "rising leader" of the group.

Currently in Baghouz
Key bits from a much longer article.
[Rudaw] In Washington, a senior defense official estimated that nearly 20,000 people, including 3,500 to 4,000 adult males, have emerged from Baghouz since Feb. 20. The official, who could not be identified by name under Pentagon ground rules, said nearly all of the 20,000, including women and kiddies, are seen as IS followers or adherents.

Baghouz in eastern Syria is the very last speck of territory held by IS, which once occupied a territory the size of Britannia over areas straddling both Iraq and Syria that it called a "caliphate." The coalition effort to destroy IS has taken place amid Syria’s nearly 8-year-old civil war.

The senior US defense official said the US and the SDF had greatly underestimated not only the number of IS fighters and affiliated civilians holed up in the final slice of IS territory, but also the amount of time it would take to finish off the fight. The official said it would not be a surprise, based on current conditions, if it took another couple of weeks.

The official said the SDF is believed to have about 5,000 IS fighters in captivity, of which about 4,000 are Iraqis and Syrians. The other 1,000 or so are "foreign" fighters from dozens of other countries, the official said.

Under the cover of heavy coalition bombing on March 1-2, SDF forces advanced on the besieged tent encampment, leaving a corridor for residents to leave. During the Arclight airstrikes, an ammunition depot and vehicles packed with weapons were targeted, setting off large kabooms and a fire that lasted for at least two days. In the video, fire was still smoldering from some tents, which caught fire in the kaboom.

Following that operation, thousands of residents and many fighters evacuated Baghouz over the next four days. But on Friday, only a small group came out, raising speculations that a renewed military offensive was being planned.

Revolutionary Guards' Soleimani flexes political muscle
[Ynet] The general's success in operations beyond Iran's borders, in particular in shoring up Assad's rule in Syria, have made him instrumental in the steady spreading of Iranian influence in the Middle East

Qassem Soleimani
's role in a political crisis in Iran highlights the influence of the leader of the Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force, who has acquired celebrity status at home after being largely invisible for years.

Muslim Council Of Foreign Relations Member Condemns Ilhan Omar For Antisemitism
[Jpost] Dr. Qanta Ahmed, a member of the Council of Foreign Relations a United States based-think tank, has appeared on Fox and Friends this week to discussing her op-ed in which she claims that Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar

is "proving to be an enormous liability to America's Moslem's."

"In her remarks, she has branded every Moslem in America as an antisemite, and this is absolutely unacceptable and un-Islamic," Ahmed said.

#3  I gave the link to her personal website at the end of the article. Go look there, gentlemen, and make an informed decision.

Professor Ahmed is not the only Muslim speaking out against radical Islam, nor the only one speaking for Israel. Israel is about to host a conference of pro-Israel bloggers, according to the Jerusalem Post, and the first one the article mentions — who has appeared on Rantburg’s opinion page years ago — is another British Muslim. They and others stand in strong contrast to apologists for Islamofascism like Tariq Ramadan.

#4  there are a lot of pro Israel or pro Judaism/Christianity Muslims. They can thrive in places like the US.

In majority Muslim countries, it is much more difficult to hold these opinions publicly.

That tells you a lot.

#5  Dr Ahmed has apparently forgotten that line in the Koran that goes something like:

And the day of Islam shall not arrive until all the rocks and trees cry out "oh muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me. Come kill him".

#6  My mistake - it's from the Hadith, not the Koran.
