#1 Thank you for being on top of this for us, 3dc. Definitely headline of the day.

Lets keep updates in this thread rather than posting new articles separately, guys — that way key details don’t get scattered, repeated, and confused, ‘k?

#15 The Times of India is liveblogging events. Key bits overnight (most recent on top):

At least 325 terrorists and 25 trainers were at the Balakot camp, the biggest operated by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed, when the Indian forces carried out an air strike early Tuesday

A total of six bombs were dropped on Pakistan-based terrorist camps by the Indian Air Force Mirage 2000s

Key Jaish e Mohammed operatives targeted in today’s air strikes: Maulana Ammar(in pic 1, associated with Afghanistan and Kashmir ops) and Maulana Talha Saif(pic 2), brother of Maulana Masood Azhar and head of preparation wing

Intel Sources: Ammunition dump blown up today in Balakot,Pakistan by IAF Mirages. The dump had more than 200 AK rifles, uncountable rounds hand grenades, explosives and detonators

JeM's [Maulana] Yusuf Azhar [brother-in-law of JeM chief Masood Azhar] alias Mohammad Salim alias Ustaad Gohri who was targeted today by IAF #airstrike in Balakot across LOC was on the Interpol list and among the most wanted in India.

Meanwhile, Indian Army has shot down a Pakistani spy drone in Gujarat

Pakistani F16s were scrambled to retaliate against IAF Mirage 2000s but turned back due to size of Indian formation.

Sources say that joint training camps of terror outfits JeM, LeT and Hizbul Mujahideen were targeted

#24 Abu Uluque, here is Fred’s auto-translate on the subject:

Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...

It only pops up with that particular spelling, though, so we haven’t seen in it recent articles that spell it Jaish-e-Mohammed.
