The Head Of P&O Ports At Bosaso City Killed By Al Shabaab
[RADIOSHABELLE] The Head of Dubai based P&O ports, a port operator owned by the UAE’s DP world in Bassaso town, Paul Anthony Fermosa has been killed on Monday morning.

The initial report indicates that the officer was attacked by a man disguising as a fisherman who was later killed by his security guards, according to police.

Al Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the assassination.

Puntland administration has not yet commented on the attack.
Deutsche Welle adds:

Al-Shabaab Claims Responsibility For Car Bomb Attack In Mogadishu
[RADIOSHABELLE] The al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
has grabbed credit for a deadly car kaboom in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu on Monday morning.

In a statement, the Death Eater group said it targeted a key meeting near Mogadishu mall with a boom-mobile killing at least 8 people. It did not say whether officials were among the dead.

Dozens of people were reported to have been maimed in the kaboom, which comes amidst tight security measures in the country’s capital.

The Somali government is yet to comment on the attack, the latest in a series of boom-mobiles in Mogadishu by al-Shabaab.

Airstrike kills seven Tabu tribesmen in Murzuk town
[Libya Observer] Seven Tabu tribe members were killed and more than 20 others maimed in an Arclight airstrike conducted by Dignity Operation air force on the southern town of Murzuk on Sunday.

Sources from the town said the airstrike targeted a group of civilians who were protesting the presence of warlord Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
’s gangs in their town.

The airstrike came as ground fighters of Dignity Operation prepare for a massive offensive on the town.

Tabu tribe accuses the warlord of ethnic cleansing and discrimination against its members in the south.

A Tabu activist said Haftar’s gangs are backed by Sudanese rebel fighters in their offensive in the south.

Tabu tribe has demanded the Presidential Council and the UN mission in Libya to intervene to stop what it described the systematic ethnic cleansing of the Tabu community.

Warlord Khalifa Haftar launched a military operation in mid-January to control the southern Libyan towns and cities under the slogan of "fighting terrorism and securing borders." However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
politicians and analysts following the Libyan file considered his operation an attempt to extend his influence and put his hands on the country's oil resources in that region.

#1  The Tabu (usually Toubou or Tubu) are an ethnic minority out of Chad's mountainous Bourkou-Ennedi-Tibesti (BET)region who seem born to fight. They were the bodyguard of King Idris who was overthrown by Qadafi. Qadafi hated the Toubou and tried to incorporate Chad's BET. In a long war the Toubou held their own. Now the Toubou have infiltrated Libya's south and southeast and show no inclination of leaving any time soon.

France strikes armed convoy infiltrating Chad from Libya
[Libya Observer] La Belle France's warplanes have carried out Arclight airstrikes on targets in northern Chad on Sunday in support of local troops trying to repel a convoy of unidentified fighters that had crossed the border from Libya, a statement by the French military said.

French armed forces said on Monday that a Mirage 2000 patrol intervened jointly with the Chadian army in northern Chad to strike a column of 40 pickups of an gang from Libya infiltrating deep into Chadian territory.

"This intervention at the request of Chadian authorities helped hinder this hostile advance and disperse the column." The statement adds.

The statement did not specify who was behind the incursion, but it was the first time French forces have hit targets in support of Chadian troops since a fledgling rebel movement based in southern Libya increased its activities last year.

Press sources reported that the convoy could be from the rebel movement, the Military Command Council for the Salvation of the Republic (CCMSR), which was founded in 2016 and has fought Chadian forces several times near the Libyan border since August.

Libya itself is suffering from infiltrating Chadian rebels who work as mercenary fighters for different gangs, especially those under the command of the self-styled army of Khalifa Haftar

The Coalition also renewed accusations of Houthis recruiting children in the ongoing conflict.

Britain
ISIS Killer’s Wife Sues British Spies For £1million
[RADIOSHABELLE] The wife of a jihadi who fought with ISIS is seeking up to £1million in compensation over claims she was shackled, whipped and interrogated by British intelligence officials.

Muna Abdule says MI6 operatives mistreated her and quizzed her over husband Abdelqadir Mumin.

Her accusations include that a mystery man called ’The British interrogator’ interrogated her in Somalia in 2013 with information she claims must have come from the UK.

She also claims she was hit with metal cables, and humiliated, the Daily Mirror revealed.

If proven she could receive up to £1million in compensation.

Court papers say: ’She says she was hooded in a manner which made it painful for her to breathe. She was threatened with being killed... She was frightened and slept little.’

Mrs Abdule lives in Berkshire while her husband who is linked with Mohammed Emwazi ‐ known as executioner Jihadi John ‐ is banned from the country.

Abdelqadir Mumin used to be a key recruiter and controller for the al-Qaeda affiliated al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
in Somalia after fleeing his home in South London.

He became one of the few high profile al-Shabaab figures to switch his allegiance to ISIS and has since fled with a small band of jihadis to the remote mountains in Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
Mumin used to preach at Greenwich mosque, which is believed to have been where Mohammed Emwazi and Michael Adebolajo occasionally attended prayers.

Mumin was visited by his wife in 2013 who says she was tortured afterwards by British intelligence officers

Upon fleeing to Somalia in 2010, Mumin burnt his passport and declared he would spend the rest of his life fighting jihad.

Mrs Abdule’s lawyer Shubhaa Srinivasan told the Mirror: ’Despite the Government’s insistence it eschews torture, my client’s case... tells a different story.’

Sensitive parts of the case will be heard in private at the agreement of a High Court judge.

Previously after being accused of involvement in torture outside of the UK, Britannia has paid £20million in compensation to up to 20 claimants.

They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) terrorist from Germany sat down for an interview with the German language news site Welt Spiegel recently to discuss his participation in the Syrian conflict.

During the interview, the ISIS fighter, Farid Saal, acknowledges that he starred in a mass execution video of Syrian soldiers in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate in July 2014.

The captured ISIS fighter said that he posed with the executed Syrian Army soldiers because it would help his smuggling business that he was running inside the country.

He said his main job in Syria was to smuggle imported muscle from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
to the Islamic State-held areas across the country.

Furthermore, he says that life in Raqqa city was pleasant, as he was able to relax by playing games, browsing the internet, and chatting with different fighters.

At the end of the interview, the Islamic State terrorist tells the news hound that he wants to go back to Germany, even if it means he will be imprisoned.

He concludes that he does not want to be imprisoned in Syria,
Well sure. German prisons have heat and hot and cold running water, even in the winter, and life sentences only last a decade or two, whereas a foreigner dying uncomfortably in Syrian prison is a realistic possibility.
but Germany has not agreed to any extradition terms, especially with non-state entities like the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
