-Lurid Crime Tales-
Cops: Woman Shoots Husband in Drive-By
[BREITBART] Sheriff Martin Pace said a man took a bullet to the abdomen on Monday during a drive-by shooting. The trigger man was not a member of any gang, but rather, the man's estranged wife. 58-year-old Mary Lou Neeley is accused of driving by the house of her husband, Billy Neeley, on Deer Circle on Monday. The latter was reportedly in the driveway working on his car when Mary Lou drove by and shot her husband in the stomach, according to Pace. The wounded man was able to call 911 and give authorities a description of the car and his estranged wife, whom he identified as the shooter.

Amazigh "agree to end pipeline blockade"
[Libya Herald] There are as reports that the Amazigh Supreme Council meeting this evening has brokered a deal to lift the blockade on the pipeline carrying gas from the Wafa field in western Libya to the Mellitah gas processing plant near Zuwara.

A source close to the talks in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
to the Libya Herald that the Council had persuaded the Amazigh who had blocked the pipeline, to end their action. It is expected that a formal announcement of the move will be made by the Supreme Council at the Rixos Hotel in the capital at noon tomorrow.

The pipeline has been closed for over a month, cutting off all gas supplies to the key Ruwais power station, forcing power cuts in the Western region. The closure also slashed the amount of gas that could be sold to Italia via the Greenstream transMediterranean pipeline. A NOC official told this paper ten days ago that a pumping station 50km south of Nalut close to the Tunisian border had been damaged.

Fear of sectarian massacre grows in C African Republic
[Bangla Daily Star] At least 12 people, including children and a pregnant woman, have been killed close to the capital Bangui by Christian vigilantes, a military source said yesterday, amid rising fears of sectarian massacres in the Central African Republic.

The vicious attack against the Peuhl Mohammedan minority, in which a pregnant woman was disembowelled, came as the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
is about to approve the deployment of an African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
force to restore order in the lawless country.

"The assailants were seen not far from the camp and they returned in the night to attack the herdsmen who were there with just knives," a military source said of the attack about 95 kilometres (60 miles) from the north of Bangui.

"Among the victims were children and a disembowelled pregnant woman. Some managed to escape and there are more than 10 maimed who have been transferred to Bangui," the source added.

The Peuhl people are traditionally pastoralist, and are a minority in the impoverished, landlocked nation of 4.5 million people which was plunged into chaos after the March coup by the mostly Mohammedan Seleka rebels.

The Seleka have since been disbanded, but rights groups say the motley crew of ex-rebels have taken to looting and burning villages, killing inhabitants who fail to flee.

Caribbean-Latin America
Nick the Mad: Venezuela blackout was Right wing sabotage
Venezuelan President Nick the Mad Nicolas Maduro has insisted that a massive electricity blackout which plunged much of the country into darkness on Monday was the work of Right wing saboteurs hoping to influence the outcome of key municipal elections this weekend.
The 'right wing' doesn't have to sabotage the country. Maduro and his pals are doing quite well in that...
The loonie leftist leader claimed to have proof that a deliberately severed cable was the cause of the power outage which hit 10 states and brought chaos to Caracas, drawing accusations of government incompetence from the opposition.

In an address on national television, Mr Maduro briefly showed images of what appeared to be a cut conductor cable lying on the grass - though it was unclear where the photos were taken.

"What motive could there be for leaving a whole country without electricity?" he said.
Criminal negligence?
"Whoever made this criminal attack wanted to leave our Venezuela without electricity for 24 to 48 hours ... thinking that would convince people not to continue with the revolution."

"We always face these attacks by the Right-wing fascists ... they wanted to make me, as president of the republic, decree a state of emergency and suspend the elections."

Despite sitting on the world's largest oil reserves, Venezuela suffers frequent blackouts, a problem opponents blame on poor maintenance and government mismanagement of infrastructure and the economy during 15 years of socialist "revolution". Mr Maduro and his predecessor, the late Hugo Chavez, have often blamed opposition sabotage for the difficulty keeping the lights on in the deeply polarized country.
In keeping with the communist playbook...
Sunday's municipal elections are viewed as a referendum on Mr Maduro's first 10 months in office, and come amid a worsening economic crisis with soaring inflation and severe shortages of basic goods.

In an effort to combat the situation, Mr Maduro has sent soldiers into electrical goods stores to force price cuts, ordered caps on profits as well as new measures to combat the black market in dollars and announced an early handout of public sector Christmas bonuses.

On Monday, as the power cut struck, he was announcing new restrictions on the anachronistically high prices of second hand cars - another attempt to rein in rampant inflation in a country where restrictions on imports and the dollars needed to pay for them have led to used vehicles commanding higher prices than new ones.

But it is unclear whether such moves will be enough to stem the predicted losses for the government on Sunday. Mr Maduro won the race to succeed Mr Chavez following his death from cancer by just two percent in April.

China-Japan-Koreas
Team Obama Changes Course, Appears to Accept China's Air Defense Zone
Top Obama administration and Pentagon officials signaled a willingness to temporarily accept China's new, controversial air defense identification zone on Wednesday. Those officials expressed disapproval for the way in which the Asian power has flexed its muscles, and cautioned China not to implement the zone. But they also carved out wiggle room in which the United States and China ultimately could find common ground on the issue, indicating that they may be willing to live with the zone for now -- as long as China backs off its demand that all aircraft traveling through it check in first.

#3  As per WORLD MIL FORUM, it appears that both Japan + China are highly dissatisfied wid the outcome of VPOTUS Biden's visit - ITV, THE US IS MORE INTERESTED IN BEING A BYSTANDER + MEDIATOR VEE THE SINO-NIPPON DISPUTE, NOT A SERIOUS INTERVENOR = DIPLOMATIC LEADER???

All in all not a good sign for US Allies in East Asia.

* BIG NEWS NETWORK > [Asia Times] FROM TEHRAN TO TOKYO US SHIFT IN MOTION.

* JAPAN TIMES > OPINION: POWER SHIFTING IN PACIFIC.

* CHINESE MILITARY FORUM > IN EAST CHINA SEA, A FAR BIGGER TEST OF POWER LOOMS.

China may NOT be the only Nation-State in East Asia that is devol towards Geopol/MilPol-aggressive "Mahanism".

* TOPIX > [WSJ.com] HENNINGER: OBAMA'S "RED-LINE" PRESIDENCY. THE NEXT US PRESIDENT WILL HAVE TO RESTORE THE TRADITION OF DURABLE [+ Credible] US FOREIGN COMMITMENTS.

ARTIC = Post-War/WW2 International System is CRACKING, PERHAPS EVEN ON VERGE OF DE FACTO COLLAPSE, A SUSTAINED GOP-RIGHT OPINION/VIEW ON FOREIGN POLICY IS BADLY NEEDED.

I agree - again, as per "justified" OWG-NWO + GLOBALISM, TO INCLUD TRANS/MULTI-CONTINENTAL, INTERDEPENDENT OWG GLOBAL FED UNIONS = THE MORE ANARCHIES + CHAOS, ETC. THE BETTER TO PERMANENTLY + IRREVOCABLY EMPLACE + ENTRENCH SAME.

Unless somebody does something to royally screw things up, Syria + Iran are effect safe until next Summer 2014 as the US-Allies want to see iff Shia Iraan will help fight + defeat AQ's rising influence in the Middle East. OTOH MAY NOT BE THE SAME AS PER CHINA-VS-EVERYBODY IN EAST ASIA.

There is no overwhelming or seriously threatening "Uighur" = Radical Islam MilTerr prob as yet for China - what "post-US", "Mahanist", future/proto-OWG "Co-Superpower" China has is a "strategic access" prob on several fronts in East-South Asia + Pacific.

WANNABE CHINA WANTS TO EXPAND BEYOND ITS BORDERS BUT CAN'T BECAUSE THE "FIRST ISLAND CHAIN" IS FULL OF US MILBASES, US ALLIES, ANDOR PRO-US ANTI-CHINA NON-ALIGNED OR NEUTRAL NATIONS.

EITHER THE US = BAMMERIKA PCORRECTLY UNILATERALLY WITHDRAWS FROM THESE REGIONS SO CHINA CAN EXPAND, TO BE THE OWG CO-SUPERPOWER ANTI-US GLOBALISTS DESIRE IT TO BE; OR ELSE CHINA MUST UNILATERALLY WAGE WAR. China of course can give up or amend its "post-US" Manifest Destiny, but China thus far has shown no inckling to do so.

WHAT THE RED-LINE BUSTING BAMMER ADMIN HAS DONE FOR OWG CO-SUPERPOWER RISING IRAN IT CAN DO FOR OWG CO-SUPERPOWER RISING CHINA???

Iff Iran can expand its reach to the Eastern Mediterranean, Egypt + Red Sea, + soon AFPAK?; BY THE SAME GLOBALIST TOKEN CHINA CAN BE Allowed TO EXPAND ITS REACH TO EAST ASIA + 1/2 OF THE PACIFIC.

Iff Iran wants to expand its naval power such that its LR Surface Warships [Aircraft Carriers?] + Submarines, etc. can routinely patrol along the US East Coast/Atlantic seaboard, WHY NOT CHINA + PLA [PLAN + PLAAF] IN SIMILAR ALL THE WAY TO HAWAII + US WEST COAST???

DOTH NOTTETH OWG GLOBALISM = THE GREAT POWERS GIVE IT UP TO THE LESSOR IN PARITY, NOT SUPERIORITY OR DOMINANCE???

Thusly, ideally a Pert, MSM-Net verified
"Weak/Declining" USA = Rising China = Rising Iran = Rising ?????????

IFF ISRAEL CAN HAVE NUKES, THEN IRAN + ANY OTHER MUSLIM NATION CAN HAVE NUKES.

IFF THE US HAS USDOD MILBASES + OTHER CLOSE TO CHINA'S SHORE, THEN CHINA CAN HAVE PLA MILBASES + OTHER CLOSE TO US SHORES - DITTO AS PER IRAN, ETAL. CLOSE TO US SHORES.

Detained US Korean war vet led anti-NK partisan group
The military records of Merrill Newman confirm that the 85-year-old Korean War veteran served in a special forces unit that advised Korean partisans who fought in North Korea behind enemy lines.

Newman has been held by North Korean authorities since Oct. 26 when he was taken off an airliner that was to take him to South Korea. He had just ended a two-week trip to North Korea.

This past weekend, Newman was seen in a videotape reading from an apology where he cited his role in the Korean War as an adviser to a Korean partisan unit.

Four-month old polio victim dies in Pakistan
[DAWN] A four-month old baby suffering from the endemic polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set...
virus has died in Pakistain, doctors and health officials said Wednesday.

The death underscores the problems in eradicating polio in Pakistain, one of only three countries in the world where the highly infectious crippling disease remains endemic.

The death of Amna, a four-month old infant, took place in the low-income locality of Baldia Town in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
, the country's largest city and commercial hub.

Deaths from the disease are rare. One in 200 infections leads to irreversible paralysis. Among those paralysed, five per cent to ten per cent die when their breathing muscles become immobilised.

#3  I for one believe he was poisoned.

I don't think the Israelis did it, they are more subtle than that.

The only way the Israelis are going to get the Paleos off their backs on this is to join the investigation and find out who did it.

I personally think it was Hezbollah and the Iranians. They had the most to gain in the region by ending Arafat's control over the various squabbling factions in the Palestinian areas. With him out of the way, the Iranians could gain traction by promoting the feuding and fragmenting Arafat's allies so they could fill the power vacuum.

Simple. Always ask "Who had the most to gain with Arafat's death?" Definitely not the Israelis. They knew any action against Arafat would inflame the region to their detriment and they knew Arafat was keeping a lid on some of the really crazy ones that Iran is supporting now.

Southeast Asia
Thailand’s secret camps for Rohingya refugees
A reporter was led to a secret refugee camp deep in the Thai jungle, where an escapee said about 1,500 Muslim Rohingya from Myanmar are being hidden in terrible conditions. The former detainee said at least 16 people had died and many women had been raped by fellow detainees during his nightmarish two weeks in the camp.

He was among thousands of Rohingya boatpeople detained in Thailand before supposed repatriation to Myanmar. In reality, sources said, Thai immigration authorities have put them in secret jungle camps before selling them to human traffickers who ransom them to relatives.

Nearby villagers said they knew of four such camps being operated in Songkhla province. It is unclear whether they are being operated with the approval of the Thai government. Nor is it known how many people are being held in the camps.

The sources include two Rohingya men who said they had escaped from the camps, as well as people with connections to brokers, who pay Thai immigration officers at least 10,000 baht for each detainee. The brokers then try to sell them to their relatives in Malaysia for up to 60,000 baht.

New Toll Hike Hits Drivers Hard
[MY9NJ] Could you imagine spending $100 to drive over a bridge or through a tunnel? Well, as of Sunday, that is the new reality for truckers driving into Manhattan.

This will be the third of five Port Authority toll increases passed since 2011. It means only a 75 cent increase for car drivers using E-ZPass. For cash paying truckers, on the other hand, it means a $12 hike, taking them from $90 per crossing to $102 just to cross the George Washington Bridge.

Many truckers are upset over the toll increase. Independent trucker, David Edwards says that the toll hike is wiping them out. "I came across here the other day and had to do a lot of deliveries, and it cost me over $400," he said.

Last year, Port Authority saw a 31% profit, causing many to question why the Port Authority couldn't delay or cancel the toll hike all together. Mike Kilduff, another independent trucker, wants to know what Port Authority plans to do with the new money. "Where's the money going? That's what I'd like to know," he said.

#3  (Plot Edited) Set in a crime-ridden United States, lead by odious Democrat politicians, New York City is converted into a virtual maximum security prison via high tolls, taxes and an assortment of capricious laws, regulations and ordinances. No one is free to leave without paying money, lots of money. The daily grind of the city brought on by the repressive taxes of politicians becomes too much for many services workers and truckers. They revolt by disengaging, refusing to serve scarce food, water and other amenities to their overseers.

#4  Proposed Chinese theme city for New York's Catskills.

U.S. immigration officials are considering a proposal from Chinese investors to create a multibillion-dollar development in New York’s Catskills called "China City" -- raising concerns among critics about the potential cost to U.S. taxpayers and, according to one analyst, the possibility it could be a "stalking horse" for the Beijing government.

A spokesman from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services told FoxNews.com that the proposal for Thompson, N.Y., has not been approved but is under consideration.

Will it have it's own Air Defense Zone ?

#7  Last year, Port Authority saw a 31% profit, causing many to question why the Port Authority couldn't delay or cancel the toll hike all together.

Mewonders if taxes are paid on those evil profits.
