Top Dems Yank Weapons Sales Support to Saudi Arabia After Oil Production Cut
[Libertarian Institute] Top-ranking Democratic Senators Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) have called for a fundamental change to the relationship between Washington and Riyadh after the kingdom announced it would cut its oil production. For years, some senators, such as Rand Paul (R-KY) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT), have demanded an end to US weapon sales to Saudi Arabia over Riyadh’s war in Yemen, internal human rights abuses and the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

"Enough is enough," Menendez said in a statement on Monday, voicing outrage after OPEC+ announced a significant cut to oil production despite calls from Washington to help boost the global supply.

The reduction in energy output by 2 million barrels per day is expected to increase US gas prices ahead of next month’s midterm elections, prompting complaints and condemnation from American lawmakers.

Last week, three Democrats in the House — Susan Wild (PA), Sean Casten (IL) and Tom Malinowski (NJ) — said the oil cut was a "hostile act" by Saudi Arabia and the UAE and marked a "turning point" in relations, even introducing a bill seeking to end US military support to both countries.

Senators Menendez and Murphy echoed their colleagues’ demand to end arms sales this week. Menendez, who chairs the influential Senate Foreign Relations Committee, suggested the oil production cut would aid Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine, saying "I will not green light any cooperation with Riyadh until the Kingdom reassesses its position with respect to the war in Ukraine."

"The United States must immediately freeze all aspects of our cooperation with Saudi Arabia, including any arms sales and security cooperation beyond what is absolutely necessary to defend US personnel and interests," he continued, adding "There simply is no room to play both sides of this conflict — either you support the rest of the free world in trying to stop a war criminal from violently wiping ... an entire country off of the map, or you support him."

Brilliant move.
Piss off a country supplying a large portion of oil (gas) to the WORKING Class voters as we enter the winter months.

Look at the Saudi Oil Import Graph. Note how the figures run by season.

Or was it deliberate action?
Since the LSD's can see, they can't manipulate the Nov. 2023 election results. As such, are speeding up their "Let's Screw America" Agenda and efforts.

Then there is also the question:
What about the IRAN/PA, Yemen and etc. vs. SA conflict issues and the military items needed to protect that Oil Supply? Vs. the Obama (pro Iranian) 5th column in DC and the WH.

Why is Austria detaining so many South Asian migrants?
[DW] Austria has detained over 68,000 irregular migrants colonists and asylum-seekers since imposing strict border controls in May to reduce "smuggling and asylum abuse."
"They don't speak Austrian"
The Austrian Interior Ministry's decision to impose targeted border controls to curb smuggling and asylum abuse has led to the detention of 68,800 migrants colonists and asylum-seekers who have tried to enter the central European country through irregular means in the past five months.

The majority of the migrants colonists, 46,000 in number, were picked up by police in Burgenland, the easternmost Austrian state that borders Hungary, Slovenia and Slovakia. The migrants colonists mainly came from Afghanistan, India, Syria, Tunisia and Pakistain, according to Gerhard Karner, the interior minister of the EU member state.

Olde Tyme Religion
Al-Azhar 'condemns 'Zionism's barbarism and racism' after burning of Holy Quran in Hebron
[AlAhram] al-Azhar, the Sunni Moslem world’s top religious institution, has condemned Israeli settlers for tearing and burning copies of the Holy Koran in Hebron as an act of "Zionist barbarism and racism', decrying the international community's silence.

In a statement on Monday evening, al-Azhar said the silence of the international community on Israeli violations in Hebron is unacceptable.

The international community has failed to play a serious role in affirming the inviolability of peoples and their sanctuaries, it added.

Israeli settlers tore and burnt copies of the Koran near the Ibrahimi Mosque, the Paleostinian WAFA news agency reported on Monday, citing a local official in the old town.

The incident took place nearly a week after photos and videos were circulated over the past few days showing settlers dancing and singing inside the Ibrahimi Mosque, which Israeli authorities usually close to Paleostinians during Jewish holidays.

Al-Azhar said "the scene demonstrates Zionism's barbarism, terrorism and hateful racism."

Al-Azhar also stressed that these crimes fuel the sentiments of violence and hatred and contradict international conventions, calling on Arabs and Moslems to unite in the face of violations of sanctities.

"The Noble Koran will remain a sublime scripture that guides humanity and steers it to the values of goodness," al-Azhar added.

Hebron -- recognised by the UNESCO in 2017 as a world heritage site -- is the largest city in the occupied West Bank with a population of over 215,000 Paleostinians.

The Ibrahimi Mosque, established in 1320 AD and believed to be built over the tombs of Prophet Abraham and his family, is revered by Moslems.

Israeli settlers are concentrated in the centre of the city; they regularly attack Paleostinian residents and storm the mosque.

Hamas, Syria revive ties as Iran seeks to bolster anti-Israel ‘axis of resistance’
[IsraelTimes] Delegation from Paleostinian terror group due to visit Damascus next week, 10 years after siding with opposition against Assad in Syrian civil war

The Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
-ruling Paleostinian terror group Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, is reviving relations with the Iran-backed regime in Damascus after a decade-long rupture sparked by the outbreak of Syria’s bloody civil war.

Analysts say the shift pushes Hamas deeper into the fold of the Iran-led "axis of resistance" against Israel that includes Syria as well as Lebanon Hezbollahstan

Hamas’s move comes amid fundamental changes in Middle East relationships that saw the Islamists’ long-time ally The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
restore full diplomatic ties in August with Israel, the Gaza terror group’s arch-enemy.

A delegation led by Hamas officials is expected in the Syrian capital next week, following a series of preparatory meetings.

Hamas sees itself as leading the armed Paleostinian resistance against Israel and is considered a terror group by the Jewish state, America and the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
. Israel, along with Egypt, maintains a blockade on Gaza that it says is necessary to prevent weapons from reaching Hamas and other armed factions.

The terror group last month hailed its newly warming ties with the Syrian regime of Bashir al-Assad as "a service to the (Paleostinian) nation" whose people also live under Israeli rule in the West Bank.

Hamas cited the "rapid regional and international developments surrounding our cause and our nation" — without directly referring to Israel’s restored ties with Turkey and relations with several Arab nations.

The shift comes as Syria’s ally Iran, now hit by a wave of protests, is sharply at odds with Western and some regional powers, especially over its nuclear program, which Israel sees as an existential threat.

IRAN-LED ‘AXIS’
The leadership of Hamas, which has ruled the poverty-stricken enclave of Gaza since 2007, has long been based abroad as Israel’s military has repeatedly struck targets in the territory during fighting with the terror group.

Hamas had its headquarters in Damascus but closed them in 2012 after the terror group, which emerged from the Moslem Brüderbund movement, sided with the opposition against Assad.

Its leaders then moved to the Gulf state of Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
and to Turkey, which had cut ties with Israel over a deadly Israeli commando raid on a Ottoman Turkish aid ship that had tried to breach the Gaza sea blockade.

The Hamas delegation expected in Damascus next week is to be headed by Khalil al-Hayya, its head of Arab relations, said Khaled Abdel Majid, head of the Paleostinian Popular Struggle Front, a group close to the Syrian regime.

Hamas’s decision to ally again with Damascus follows numerous visits by its officials to Syria, both "secret and public," a senior Hamas source told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Those meetings were mediated by Iran
...The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both...
and Hezbollah, which have both fought on Assad’s side in the civil war, the source said.

All this reflects Iran’s wish to bolster the "axis of resistance" which also includes the terror group Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
, said Mukhaimer Abu Saada, a political science professor at Gaza’s al-Azhar University.

As Iran’s talks to restore its frayed 2015 nuclear deal with major powers have faltered, it has turned closer to Russia, which is also facing deepening international isolation over its war in Ukraine.

Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, based in Qatar, last month traveled to Moscow and met Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

‘A MORAL SIN’
As the terror group returns to Syria, the senior Hamas source told AFP, it plans to "open a representative office in Damascus soon, as a first step towards the return of normal relations."

The former political chief of Hamas, Khaled Mashal, once enjoyed rare privileges in Damascus and had a personal relationship with Assad.

However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
it remains unlikely the Syrian regime will allow Hamas to rebuild a foothold that has "the weight it had a decade ago," said Jamal al-Fadi, also a politics professor at al-Azhar.

The Hamas leadership may also be wary of spending too much time in Syria, given that Israel regularly launches Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on the country, mainly targeting pro-Iranian fighters.

"Hamas’s relationship with Syria at the moment will be subject to difficult security considerations," said Fadi. "It exposes its leaders and its activist muppets to the dangers of being easily targeted by Israel."

The budding Hamas-Syrian ties have exposed rifts within the Islamic movement.

Saleh al-Naami, a politics professor at the Islamic University of Gaza who is close to Hamas, described the deal with Damascus as a "moral sin."

"It also does not reflect the base of the movement and of the vast majority of its (political) elite," he wrote on Twitter.

However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
the head of Hamas’s political committee, Bassem Naim, said the decision followed years of regional and international discussions.

"In the end, Hamas went with the majority opinion on the resumption of the relationship with Syria," said Naim. "There is no choice but for Hamas to be at the center of the resistance axis."

Biden hails Israel-Lebanon deal as 'historic breakthrough'

to settle their maritime border dispute as "a historic breakthrough," and urged all parties to stick to the deal.

Negotiations between the neighboring countries, which are still technically at war, had suffered repeated setbacks since their launch in 2020 but gained momentum in recent weeks with both sides eyeing revenue from potentially rich Mediterranean gas fields.

"It is now critical that all parties uphold their commitments and work towards implementation," Biden said in a statement.

The agreement "will provide for the development of energy fields for the benefit of both countries, setting the stage for a more stable and prosperous region, and harnessing vital new energy resources," he said.

"This agreement also protects Israel's security and economic interests critical to promoting its regional integration. It provides Lebanon the space to begin its own exploitation of energy resources."

Bou Saab hands demarcation draft to Aoun, says Lebanon secured 'full rights'
[An Nahar] Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
has secured its "full rights" in the latest text drafted by U.S. mediators to demarcate the maritime border with Israel, its lead negotiator said Tuesday, after Israel said it met its terms too.

"Lebanon has obtained its full rights, and all of its remarks have been taken into account," said lead negotiator Elias Bou Saab, the deputy speaker of parliament, after handing the draft to President Michel Aoun
...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah...
"Today we have come to a solution that satisfies both parties."

Lebanon's presidency said the proposed final text submitted by Hochstein was "satisfactory to Lebanon" and voiced hope that "the agreement on the demarcation will be announced as soon as possible."

Israel had said earlier Tuesday that it was close to a "historic" deal with Lebanon and the U.S. draft met its "demands".

The welcome for the text on both sides of the border has raised hopes that years of negotiations have finally borne fruit, allowing cash-strapped Lebanon to develop potentially lucrative offshore gas reserves.

Bou Saab said he hoped an agreement could be signed before Aoun's term of office ends on October 31.

He added that Lebanon will "get its full rights from the Qana field", and Israel might receive compensation through TotalEnergies. There will be no direct partnership in gas exploration or exploitation between the two enemy states, he said.

Aoun’s office in a statement said the latest version of the proposal "satisfies Lebanon, meets its demands, and preserves its rights to its natural resources," and will hold consultations with officials before making an announcement.

Negotiations between Lebanon and Israel, which are still technically at war, had suffered repeated setbacks since their launch in 2020 but gained momentum in recent weeks with both sides eying revenue from potentially rich Mediterranean gas fields.

U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein floated a proposed final agreement earlier this month that was accepted by Israel, but Lebanon sought some adjustments.

Israel said last week it intended to reject the changes sought by Lebanon, even if that made a deal impossible, but negotiations continued, culminating in what both sides described as acceptable final terms.

"Israel and Lebanon have reached an historic agreement settling the maritime dispute," said a statement from Israel Prime Minister Yair Lapid's office, in which he hailed "an historic achievement that will strengthen Israel's security."

A major source of friction at the talks was the Karish gas field, which Israel insisted fell entirely within its waters and was not a subject of negotiation.

Lebanon reportedly claimed part of the field and Hezbollah, which holds huge sway in Lebanon, threatened attacks if Israel began production at Karish.

Israel has said production would begin at Karish as soon as possible, regardless of Lebanon's demands.

Iran summons UK ambassador following sanctions on morality police
[Rudaw] Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
on Monday summoned the British ambassador claiming that the UK is "interfering in the internal affairs of the Islamic Theocratic Republic" following London’s decision to sanction Iran’s morality police and a number of security officials.

Iranian state media reported that the Iranian ministry of foreign affairs told the British ambassador that the sanctions imposed by the UK "are distorted and have no value for the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran."

The ambassador was also informed that Iran "reserves its right to take countermeasures," state media added.

The British ambassador was summoned after the UK on Monday sanctioned Iran’s morality police and a number of security officials following weeks of violent mostly peaceful crackdown by the Iranian regime on protests triggered by the controversial death of a Kurdish woman in police custody.

"For decades the Morality Police have used the threat of detention and violence to control what Iranian women wear and how they behave in public," read a statement from the UK government, adding that the UK has "sanctioned the Morality Police in its entirety, as well as both its chief Mohammed Rostami Cheshmeh Gachi and the Head of the Tehran Division Haj Ahmed Mirzaei."

The statement added that the British government has sanctioned a number of Iranian security officials such as the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Basij force, the Commander of the NAJA Special Forces Unit of the Iranian police, and the commander-in-chief of Iranian police, for committing "serious human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
violations".

The sanctions by the UK came two days after Canada said they would utilize the most powerful provision of its immigration and refugee protection act to formally make 10,000 officers and senior members of the Iranian regime "inadmissible to Canada for their engagement in terrorism and systemic and gross human rights violations."

This comes as thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets in country-wide protests stemming from the death of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, a Kurdish woman after her arrest by the country’s so-called morality police for allegedly breaching the Islamic republic’s strict dress code. The demonstrations have triggered a violent mostly peaceful crackdown by Iranian authorities.

The Oslo-based Iran Human Rights Organization (IHR) said on Friday that at least 185 people have been killed during the demonstrations.
