Over 120 MILLION Views: 2nd Senior Twitter Executive Resigns As 'What Is A Woman' Documentary Massively Succeeds
[DCEnquirer] Ella Irwin, Twitter's head of trust and safety, reportedly offered her resignation from the social media firm on Thursday in the aftermath of a debacle that saw Twitter agree to and then promptly renege on a deal to carry 'What Is A Woman?' by The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh.

According to Rooters, Twitter has faced "criticism for lax protections against harmful content," ever since Elon Musk purchased the company in October, promising advances in freedom of speech. Irwin, the outlet explained, joined Twitter in mid-2022 and stepped into the role heading up the trust and safety team in November of last year after the resignation of Yoel Roth. Irwin's area of oversight was in content moderation.

Axios reported that Irwin's resignation followed a public rebuke from Musk over the content moderation decision to break a content deal recently inked with The Daily Wire to distribute Walsh's controversial exposé exploring the world of so-called "gender-affirming care."

Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing posted a lengthy thread to Twitter outlining the platform's sudden and poorly explained 'about-face' writing, "Twitter canceled a deal with @realdailywire to premiere What is a Woman? for free on the platform because of two instances of "misgendering." I’m not kidding." Musk answered the thread stating that the move was "a mistake by many people at Twitter."

He wrote in full, "This was a mistake by many people at Twitter. It is definitely allowed. Whether or not you agree with using someone’s preferred pronouns, not doing so is at most rude and certainly breaks no laws. I should note that I do personally use someone’s preferred pronouns, just as I use someone’s preferred name, simply from the standpoint of good manners. However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
for the same reason, I object to rude behavior, ostracism or threats of violence if the wrong pronoun or name is used."
Under Musk's ownership, Twitter removed prohibitions on so-called 'misgendering' and 'deadnaming' but kept provisions against "directly" attacking other people "on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease," according to Axios.

Elon Musk has since pinned the full presentation of 'What Is A Woman?' to his Twitter profile, with the caption "Every parent should watch this," giving it potentially the largest spotlight on the platform. As of this report, the documentary has gained over 122 million views.

Another Twitter Executive Out After Attempts To Stop ‘What Is A Woman?’ From Appearing On Platform

[DailyWire] A second Twitter senior executive working on content and safety issues is no longer at the company after there were internal attempts by some to stop The Daily Wire’s "What Is A Woman?" documentary from being streamed on the platform while Twitter owner Elon Musk was traveling outside the U.S. on business.

The Wall Street Journal reported that A.J. Brown, Twitter’s head of brand safety and ad quality, is no longer at the company. Ella Irwin, the head of Twitter’s trust and safety department, abruptly resigned from the company Thursday afternoon.

Both of their exits were related to what unfolded with Twitter’s attempts to stop The Daily Wire from streaming the documentary on Thursday evening. Musk confirmed this on Twitter.

The Daily Wire posted the groundbreaking 90-minute documentary starring Matt Walsh on Twitter, where it could be viewed for free for 24 hours, at 8 p.m. EST Thursday night to mark the one-year anniversary of its release and continue to drive the conversation about the radical transgender craze. But Twitter labeled the documentary as "hateful conduct" and restricted its visibility because of two instances of supposed "misgendering." A few hours before its release, Musk took to Twitter to insist that it had been a mistake, yet the film was saddled with restrictions when it aired.

Early Friday, Musk intervened and removed the restrictions on the video, allowing Twitter users to like and retweet the documentary, and Musk tweeted out the film to his 140 million followers.

The Daily Wire tweet that featured the film has been viewed 80 million times in less than 24 hours, after the boost from Musk, who has the most powerful account on the platform.

Disney's Pixar lays off 75 of its employees including two studio veterans
[Wash Examiner] Pixar Animation Studios, a studio owned by the Walt Disney Company, has laid off 75 of its employees, two of whom were with the studio for over 25 years.

The layoffs at the Disney-owned studio are part of the company's plans announced in February to eliminate 7,000 jobs and slash $5.5 billion in costs. Disney is just one of the many companies in recent months that have begun major employee layoffs — joining the likes of Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta.

The two veteran employees of the studio are Angus MacLane, an animator who directed Pixar's most recent film, Lightyear, and Galyn Susman, who had been with the studio since its first film Toy Story released in 1995, according to an exclusive by Reuters.

MacLane's layoff comes after Lightyear, released in June 2022, was a financial failure, with a smaller box office performance than those other Pixar films — coming in at just $51 million in its opening week, and grossing $226.4 million overall. The movie features Pixar's first same-sex kiss, and faced public backlash for not having Tim Allen reprise his voice as the iconic Buzz Lightyear.
Bold move, Cotton
Susman is most known for her role in the production of Toy Story 2, in which she saved the 1999 film after it was accidentally deleted. She was on maternity leave at the time of the movie's deletion and had a copy of the film saved on her home computer, according to Newsweek.
WTF?
This marks the first time in 10 years that Pixar cut jobs, with the most recent being in 2013, when 30 employees were laid off.

Ms. Susman, though...given the supposed 'family' culture at Pixar, one would have thought she'd have a job for life. Or is it so bad (Pixar's next, Elemental, is rumored to have issues) that 'family' doesn't matter as much as throwing somebody to the wolves...?

#6  These layoffs just give competitors the chance to scoop up the non-talent so they can also churn out dreadful and offensive content. You get the feeling that eventually Pixar will be letting us know why their most marketable character is called Woody in an upcoming tryst with Mr Potato Head. Those bad puns used to be the fodder of the naughty movie industry. Pixar is robbing them of their non-intellectual property.

#1  The railroad operated until 1935, when the deadliest hurricane in a century swept away miles of tracks. Instead of being rebuilt, Flagler's masterwork was reincarnated to accommodate Americans' newfound love of automobiles. In 1938, the US government set out to construct one of the longest overwater roads in the world by relying on Flagler's seemingly indestructible bridges, which could withstand 200mph winds.

Muchly rebuilt 20-odd years ago, and one of the old bridges was demolished (exploded by a missile) as part of the film "True Lies".

Capitol Police say it was a 'miscommunication' for shutting children's choir down
Rear-covering response to this story from yesterday.
[JustTheNews] House Speaker Kevin McCarthy called the incident unacceptable.

The U.S. Capitol Police said that the children's choir singing the national anthem in the Capitol was shut down due to "miscommunication."

The Rushingbrook Children’s Choir sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" in the Capitol on May 26 and were stopped by the Capitol police. Video footage of the incident surfaced earlier this week.

The conductor of the group, David Rasbach, told the Daily Signal that a Capitol Hill police officer cut off the singers before they could finish.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy tweeted about the incident, calling it unacceptable.

"Just learned kids were interrupted while singing our National Anthem at the Capitol. Unacceptable," McCarthy wrote. "These children were welcomed by my office because your Capitol is back open, particularly for school groups. @RepTimmons, @RepJoeWilson, & @RepRussellFry, and I look forward to having them back to perform in the halls of Congress."

Capitol Police told the New York Post that they usually don't allow singing in the Capitol, but did not know McCarthy approved the performance.

“Although popup demonstrations and musical performances are not allowed in the U.S. Capitol without the proper approval, due to a miscommunication, the U.S Capitol Police were not aware that the Speaker’s Office had approved this performance,” the police told the outlet.

“We apologize to the choir for this miscommunication that impacted their beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner and their visit to Capitol Hill," the statement continued.

#5  I call BS. Its easy to prove it was malicious and partisan, just look at the note I posted yesterday below. In the Daily Signal video you see the USCP officer send a plainclothes/civilian over to stop the singing. If it was an actual rule and impartial enforcement action, the uniformed officer would have acted openly and without embarrassment. Instead, they used a surrogate not in uniform to avoid the visibility of an enforcement action. An honest mistake wouldn't see the need to be covert about stopping the singing.

If you watch the video in the Daily Signal piece below, towards the middle of the Twitter video (1.22 min) you see the white uniformed USCP officer turning to speak to two individual, one of whom, clearly by direction (2:16) comes over to stop the performance. The video doesn't lie, the USCP stopped the singing of the national Anthem!

The Community of West African States (ECOWAS) called on all parties to "defend the country's laudable reputation as a bastion of peace and stability".

The EU and Senegal's former colonial power La Belle France also expressed concern over the violence.

- ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONS -
Sonko was convicted for "corrupting" a young woman, in a case which has deeply divided Senegal, usually a bastion of stability in West Africa.

After some of the worst political violence in years on Thursday, tensions remained high on Friday, with sporadic festivities reported in the capital and soldiers deployed on the streets.

Sonko, who was tried in asbentia, has yet to be taken into custody for his jail term, which is likely to cause further tensions.

The streets of the capital were largely deserted, AFP journalists observed.

The government acknowledged that it had restricted access to social networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter in order to stop "the dissemination of hateful and subversive messages".

There was extensive destruction on the main university campus, where prolonged festivities took place on Thursday.

Students with suitcases lined the streets outside the university, struggling to find transportation after being told to leave campus.

"We didn't expect this, political affairs shouldn't concern us," said Babacar Ndiaye, a 26-year-old student.

"But there is injustice," he added, referring to Sonko's conviction.

#1  This article got me thinking about the service that Epstein was providing to mostly white guys plus Obama. He was providing underage sex with white females under conditions that promised no consequences for the perpetrators. The known victims were all young pretty white girls. The Epstein operation, surely it had an extortion aspect, was kind of like a soft serve machine that produced one consistent “product,” sex with underage white girls for free. The cost was globalist cooperation. Sex outside the network, Lewinsky, is at your own risk. There are probably other soft serve machines throughout America and the world that serve other “products,” but the ultimate cost is uniformly control although people may also be charged money. The primary output of the system is control of all these people making detrimental decisions to us that match the globalist agenda even when they are enacted by people in the “opposition.”

He also provided a meeting place for the nouveau riche to be introduced to the stars of the intellectual firmament, and vice versa, for the purpose of being seen engaging in elevated conversation and the opportunity to pitch for future funding. The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers | 2023 Cost Study
From three months ago.
[FAIRUS] Key Highlights

  • At the start of 2023, the net cost of illegal immigration for the United States – at the federal, state, and local levels – was at least $150.7 billion.

  • FAIR arrived at this number by subtracting the tax revenue paid by illegal aliens – just under $32 billion – from the gross negative economic impact of illegal immigration, $182 billion.

  • In 2017, the estimated net cost of illegal migration was approximately $116 billion. In just 5 years, the cost to Americans has increased by nearly $35 billion.

  • Illegal immigration costs each American taxpayer $1,156 per year ($957 after factoring in taxes paid by illegal aliens).

  • Each illegal alien or U.S.-born child of illegal aliens costs the U.S. $8,776 annually.

  • Evidence shows that tax payments by illegal aliens cover only around a sixth of the costs they create at all levels in this country.

  • A large percentage of illegal aliens who work in the underground economy frequently avoid paying any income tax at all.

  • Many illegal aliens actually receive a net cash profit through refundable tax credit programs.

Lebanese ambassador in France accused of rape, violence
[An Nahar] Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
's ambassador to La Belle France, Rami Adwan, has been investigated for rape and intentional violence following complaints by two former embassy employees, informed sources said, confirming an earlier media report.

Due to his position, Adwan enjoys diplomatic immunity from prosecution, but the French government urged the Lebanese authorities to lift this and allow him to go on trial.

"In view of the seriousness of the facts mentioned, we consider it necessary for the Lebanese authorities to lift the immunity of the Lebanese ambassador in Gay Paree in order to facilitate the work of the French judicial authorities", the French foreign ministry told AFP late Friday.

The first woman, aged 31, filed her complaint in June 2022 for a rape she says was committed in May 2020 in the ambassador's private apartment, according to sources close to the investigation confirming a Mediapart report.

According to her deposition seen by AFP, she made clear her lack of interest in having sex and that she screamed and burst into tears.

The woman, who was working as an editor, had already reported to police in 2020 that Adwan, in his post since 2017, had struck her during an argument in his office.

She said she had not filed a complaint because she did not want to "break the life" of the ambassador.

According to the complaint, she had a relationship with the ambassador, who carried out "psychological and physical violence with daily humiliations".

The second woman, aged 28, made a complaint last February after what she said was a series of physical attacks after she turned down sexual relations.

She claims Adwan tried to hit her with his car after an argument on the sidelines of last year's Normandy World Peace Forum.

She also accused the ambassador of trying to suffocate her at her home last December by pressing her face to her bed.

"My client contests all accusations of aggression in any shape or form: verbal, moral, sexual," Adwan's lawyer Karim Beylouni told AFP.

"Between 2018 and 2022 he had with these two women romantic relationships punctuated by arguments and breakups," Beylouni said.

An informed source said the Gay Paree judicial police had closed the case.

Asked by AFP to comment, the Gay Paree prosecutor's office said it was not immediately in a position to do so.

Nat'l Black Farmers Assn. Pres. on Report U.S. Paid Chinese Food Producers: We're Giving China Resources to Buy our Farms
[Breitbart] On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s "Fox & Friends First," National Black Farmers Association President John Boyd Jr. reacted to a report by Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Open the Books that the U.S. government has given at least $490 million in U.S. grants and contracts to Chinese entities and another $870 million to Russian entities since 2017, including $1.6 million to Chinese food producers by stating that China is buying up American farms, "and this administration is giving them resources to do these types of things."

Boyd said, "You know, when you look at what China is doing, they’re buying America’s farms. So, when I spoke about farm foreclosures, it’s operatives like Chinese organizations that are purchasing these farms right here in the United States. So, we can’t go to China and buy their farms, but they can come to right here in the United States and buy our farms, and this administration is giving them resources to do these types of things. Something is terribly, terribly wrong with this picture and we have to look at what’s really going on. The American farmer is suffering right here with the highest input costs we’ve had in our nation’s history for America’s farmers. We’re out here struggling and we’re managing to help countries like China and Russia, America’s two biggest adversaries."

The Elephant's Trunk - Intelligent Design? (video)
[John10:10 Project] When I was a young boy growing up in southern California, my folks would often take my sister and me to the San Diego Zoo. The minute we’d walk through the entrance, I’d head directly to the elephant exhibit. Big, slow moving, and always easy to see (they couldn’t hide in their cages like lions or monkeys), elephants fascinated me.

We’d buy bags of peanuts and throw them into the open enclosure. I still remember how they’d carefully pick them up with their trunks—one nut at a time. It was like they had a giant arm and hand, capable of movements that demonstrated remarkable finesse. At the time, I had no idea that, decades later, I’d be producing a film that would showcase the extraordinary abilities of one of the most brilliantly engineered biological mechanisms in the living world.
