[Breitbart] The Navy Secretary touted its ships as “beacons in every port of call” for “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” in a message to the force celebrating Pride Month.
In the message to the force, Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro highlighted Harvey Milk, the first openly-gay candidate to be elected to state office in California, who was also a lieutenant junior grade. In 2016, then-Navy Secretary Ray Mabus named a ship after Milk.

I served in a Navy that was a beacon of strength around the world. In port’s of call, we were mostly a beacon of drunkenness. It looks like the Village People made a prophetic song.

This f'ing crap is just so much overkill, it makes me wonder if this isn't an attempt to distract us from "real" issues. But, yes, on its face, this is just nauseating rubbish.

The Chinese don’t appear to recognize our beacon of inclusion.

I'd like to just ignore them all, but that's almost impossible in this media environment. Like punk kids, it'd be nice to not give them any attention.
[Breitbart] Barack Obama called for more gun control and got significant pushback on Twitter on Friday, which was National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
His call for more gun control was coupled with calls to support Mike Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety.
Another Twitter follower posted a photo of Obama skeet shooting that had been photo-shopped to add a detachable magazine and an adjustable rear stock to the firearm.
Twitter user @KCPayTreeIt pointed to President Biden, referring to him as Obama’s “guy,” and asked Obama to quit talking about “gun violence” when Biden left stockpiles of weaponry in Afghanistan that have been seized by the Taliban and left our Southern border unsecured.
Others posted photos of deceased Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and pointed to Operation Fast and Furious, an Obama-era operation in which over 2,000 guns were smuggled into Mexico.
Agent Terry came under gunfire and was killed while on duty December 14, 2010. Two Operation Fast and Furious rifles were found at the scene where Terry was killed.
Related: The Twitter thread in question. The poor man just intended to chime in with an anodyne comment on the subject of the day, not putting any thought into the Zeitgeist beyond his own immediate circle. But he ever had a tin ear.

When Obama was elected, I remember having the impression that he was someone’s puppet. To my memory, only Trump and Reagan seemed to act independently. They had people that influenced them but I was sure that they weren’t running someone else’s playbook. Obama now seems like Pinocchio staging a puppet show.

They could have added some BAM!!! And POW!!! graphics to spice it up a little. Then they could have shot some footage of AOC and Crenshaw walking up the side of the capital on ropes talking to various leftist media figures that opened up windows for random conversations.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
