[PJ] Federal prosecutors have busted one of their co-workers who worked as a spy for a variety of Mexican drug gangs.
The Washington Times reports that the sister and brother-in-law of a paralegal working at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Antonio were distributors of the methamphetamines produced by the Mexico-based criminal enterprise.
Prosecutors charged Jennifer Loya, a paralegal who had access to surveillance records, warrants and other sensitive information, with obstruction of justice, conspiracy to obstruct justice and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
FBI Special Agent Jacob Dezern, in an affidavit, said the woman was helping out her sister Kimberly Loya and her sister’s husband Roland Gustamante, who were San Antonio distributors for the Fernandez-Vasquez drug smuggling organization, part of the Cartel de Noreste.
Agent Dezern also said a number of drug organizations in San Antonio maintain loose ties with each other, and it appears Jennifer Loya, who had worked for the office for three years, had helped several of them.
The DEA says they began to suspect a spy on the inside when a leader of one of the drug gangs was arrested and he boasted he’d been tipped off.
The Times reports that Gustamante warned another narco that he was being watched.
[NYPOST] Ten alleged MS-13 gang members were busted in connection with three Queens murders — including an early afternoon liquidation on a subway platform and another that was a case of mistaken identity, the feds announced Thursday.
"The murders and crimes of violence allegedly committed by these defendants are trademark MS-13 offenses — cold-blooded, senseless and brutally violent — and pose a grave danger to the residents of our communities," said Brooklyn US Attorney Richard Donoghue in a statement.
Alleged MS-13 member Ramiro Gutierrez and associates Tito Martinez- Alvarenga and Victor Lopez allegedly dragged suspected gang rival Abel Mosso off a No. 7 train onto the platform of the 90th Street Station in Jackson Heights on Feb. 3, 2019, according to court papers.
Gutierrez allegedly shouted in Spanish, "Nobody get involved, we’re MS-13, we’re going to kill him," then pumped five bullets into Mosso’s head in broad daylight, the indictment charges.
The group believed Mosso, 20, was a member of the rival 18th Street gang, Brooklyn federal prosecutors said in court papers.
A bystander recorded video of the shocking slaying, which was posted on Facebook, authorities said. Gutierrez, Martinez-Alvarenga and Lopez already face murder, gang assault and other charges in Queens Supreme Court for the killing.
In another brazen shooting, MS-13 member Juan Amaya-Ramirez, aka "Cadaver," and two others allegedly lured 17-year-old Andy Peralta to Kissena Park in Flushing on April 23, 2018.
Peralta had a tattoo of a crown on his chest, which the MS-13 members mistakenly believed was a symbol of the rival Latin Kings gang, prosecutors said.
The trio beat, stabbed and strangled Peralta and slashed the offending tattoo in the middle of a public park, court papers allege.
Amaya-Ramirez used an iPhone to photograph him and his pals posing with Peralta’s mangled corpse as they flashed gang signs, prosecutors said.
The murder of Victor Alvarenga occurred Nov. 4, 2019, on a Queens street. MS-13 members Douglas Melgar-Suriano, Jairo Martinez-Garcia and another associate approached Alvarenga near his home. Melgar-Suriano allegedly repeatedly blasted him in his head and body. As he writhed on the pavement, Martinez-Garcia pumped one more bullet into him, according to court papers.
Alleged MS-13 members Marlon Saracey-Lopez, Ismael Santos-Novoa and Emerson Martinez-Lara are charged with conspiring to murder an MS-13 associate who had failed to kill a rival gang member as ordered. Victor Ramirez is charged with attempting to murder another rival gang member.
The 10 defendants named in four indictments face charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, marijuana distribution and discharging a firearm.
[KhaamaPress] An Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... destroyed a Humvee Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) which the Talibs wanted to use in a deadly Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) attack in Maimana city.

The statement further added that the security traced the Humvee APC in Makhshi Khesht Village of Pashtun Kot district and subsequently destroyed it by conducting an airstrike.
The security forces prevented a deadly attack and saved dozens of lives by destroying the Armored Personnel Carrier.
The Taliban ...Arabic for students... group has not commented in this regard so far.
[ToloNews] A boom-mobilewent kaboom! in front of the gate of a Defense Ministry facility in Gardiz city, the center of eastern Paktia province, on Thursday morning, leaving five civilians dead, according to an army front man.
Aimal Mohmand, a front man for the Afghan National Army's 203 Thunder Corps, said that 19 others--including five security force members--were maimed in the earth-shattering kaboom.
He added that the explosives were placed in a Mazda truck that exploded in front of the gate of the facility at around 8:30am.
Photos on social media from the attack scene show the building has been destroyed in the earth-shattering kaboom.
In the meantime, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement said that a jacket wallah attempted to detonate a truck-bomb at the gate of the MoD’s building in Gardiz city, Paktia, but was shot before reaching target, said MoD.
However, you can observe a lot just by watching... the vehicle went kaboom!, killing five civilians and wounding 24 others, it said.
The Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... has grabbed credit for the attack.
[Summit] A pro-refugee activist in France was found dead at his home after being murdered by the same 20-year-old Afghan migrant he had been sleeping with.
63-year-old Jean Dussine was head of a group called Itinérance that helps vulnerable migrants. The activist also personally allowed some of the migrants to stay at his home.
According to Ouest France, Dussine was found dead at his home having been viciously beaten with an iron rod as he slept.
Dussine "was sleeping when [the alleged assailant], an Afghan migrant barely 20 years old, attacked him with an iron rod. He could not be revived," reports Valeurs Actuelles.
The migrant suspected of committing the act allegedly broke into Dussine’s house and beat him to death with an iron rod, while the activist was sleeping, according to the French news outlet Ouest. A subsequent report by La Manche Libre reports the 21-year-old migrant confessed to the killing.
The prosecutor in the case, Yves Le Clair told the AFP that the Afghani migrant is believed to have entered into the house with the intention of murdering the pro-migrant activist.
“There are no traces of reciprocal violence. You would think that Jean Dussine did not have time to defend himself,” said Le Clair.
Doussine was the head of the pro-migrant group since 2016 and had been personally housing migrants in his home for years. The six migrants that were living with him at the time of his murder are said to have tried to restrain his attacker but were not able to come to his aid in time.
The port city in which Doussine’s group operated, Cherbourg, has recently become a hub for migrants attempting to cross the English Channel to claim asylum in the UK.
In November, sixteen migrants believed to be from the Middle East were found in a shipping container that had come from Cherbourg, during an inspection by officials in Ireland.

In Norway they are reviewing the costs of unskilled immigrants. Only take in most cases and always subsidized. Separate and apart so they don't mix like oil and water.

I think Raj has it. They sure dance around the issue; breaking and entering then clubbing someone like a baby seal without any sign of resistance would be in the male column.

It is interesting that virtually every social group, self defined or not, would immediately have ulterior motives assigned. How if I were to open 'Cesare's Home for Wayward Slavic Girls'? I'd be burned in effigy if not much worse. And this joker has been importing foreign 'youths' in order to accomplish what exactly?
Still, it is a heartwarming, feel-good story to coast into the weekend.

They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) forces of Evil roam freely, his livelihood is under constant threat.
On Tuesday morning, as Sofi was tending to his land, the familiar smell of smoke began to drift across the fields.

[Rudaw] Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) turbans attacked a Ottoman Turkish military base in the Kani Masi subdistrict of Duhok province on Thursday morning, a local official has said, causing a powercut in an area prone to festivities between the two forces.
A group of PKK fighters attacked a Ottoman Turkish military base in the area at 07:30 am, after which an hour-long clash between the two ensued, the head of Kani Masi subdistrict in the town of Amedi told Rudaw on Thursday.
The clash caused a powercut that, as of 3:30 pm, is ongoing; it is unclear which side caused the outage, subdistrict head Sarbast Sabri said.
"We do not know about the casualties from both sides but it has caused a blackout, fear and concern among the residents," Sabri added.
Ankara has not issued any statement on the incident but its defense ministry said on Wednesday that it bombarded the Khakurk and Metina areas in Duhok province, claiming to have "neutralized" four PKK bad boys. Ottoman Turkish authorities use the word "neutralized" to imply targets were killed or captured.
The ministry also claimed that its forces found ammunition in a cave used by the PKK.
The PKK is an gang fighting for greater political and cultural rights for Kurds in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... . Its decades-long war with the Ottoman Turkish state has resulted in more than 40,000 deaths on both sides.
Turkey routinely launches land and air operations against the group at home, in the Kurdistan Region, and in Iraq’s disputed territories of Shingal and Makhmour. It also attacks Kurdish forces in northern Syria, accusing them of ties with the PKK. Both the PKK and Ottoman Turkish forces have had military bases in the province on Kurdistan Region’s border with Turkey for decades.
Amedi mayor Ismail Mustafa told Rudaw this week that 23 civilians have died as a result of PKK-Turkey violence in the town since January 2019.
He added that the population of 361 villages in the area have abandoned their homes due to the decades-long history of festivities between the two forces.
The PKK on Tuesday released the "confession" of Amedi resident Jutiyar Muhsin, claiming he had spied for Ottoman Turkish intelligence services by revealing PKK positions and vehicles. However, you can observe a lot just by watching... the family of the detainee denies the claims, calling on the Kurdish group to release their son who has been held since January 29.
[IsraelTimes] Serviceman in moderate-to-serious condition after being struck by vehicle in Hebron Hills amid uptick in West Bank violence.
An Israeli soldier was injured when he was hit by a car in what the military said was a deliberate attack in the southern West Bank on Thursday, Israeli officials said.
The driver of the vehicle was rubbed out by another soldier at the scene, the military said.
The maimed serviceman, 21, sustained injuries to his extremities, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said. He was listed in moderate-to-serious condition.
The apparent ramming attack came amid heightened tensions in the West Bank and a day before Nakba — or catastrophe — Day, which commemorates the displacement of Paleostinians before and after Israel’s creation on May 14, 1948. The period around Nakba Day often sees increased levels of violence in the West Bank and Israel.
The incident occurred along a highway near the Negohot settlement in the southern Hebron Hills.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the driver accelerated as he drove his car toward a group of soldiers who were standing next to a military post outside Negohot.
The driver, whose name was not immediately released, struck one of the soldiers before another serviceman shot up the car and killed him, an army spokesperson said.
"When we arrived at the scene, we joined up with an IDF medical team that was giving medical treatment to the young man who was injured by the car. We quickly put him in our intensive care ambulance and took him to the hospital fully conscious and in stable, pH balanced condition," an MDA medic said.
The injured serviceman was taken to Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center. He was being treated in the trauma center, the hospital said.
Tensions in the West Bank have been high in recent days, after an IDF soldier was killed during an arrest raid in the Paleostinian village of Yabed when a rock was thrown at his head on Tuesday morning and a Paleostinian teenager was rubbed out during festivities with Israeli troops in the al-Fawar refugee camp the following day.
Israeli defense officials have also warned of a potential outbreak of violence in response to plans by the government to unilaterally annex portions of the West Bank.

THE FATEMIYOUN DIVISION - Middle East Institute
[Search domain www.mei.edu) The Fatemiyoun Division is an Iranian-led Shi'i militia active in Syria composed primarily of ethnic Hazara residents in Iran.
The Quds Force deployed the Fatemiyoun Brigade to Syria in 2014 to fight alongside pro-Assad forces. They have fought major campaigns in Aleppo, Daraa, and Palmyra.
[SYRIAHR] SOHR activists have reported that the number of people who were killed in today’s explosion which hit Shallah village in the south of Ras al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) rose to four. The fatalities are two members of Ottoman Turkish-backed factions and a civilian, while the identity of the fourth one remains unknown.
The explosion was caused by detonating a booby-trapped cycle of violence in front of a workshop for repairing cycle of violences in the village.
Observatory sources reported a few hours ago that a kaboom hit Shallah village in the south of the Ottoman Turkish-controlled city of Ras al-Ain (Sere Kaniye). The explosion was caused by detonating a booby-trapped cycle of violence which left two persons dead, while many others sustained injuries.
[SYRIAHR] SOHR eyewitnesses say that new demonstrations took place in Daraa province this evening in the city of Tafas, Sahim al-Golan area and all the countryside of Daraa, demanding Iranian militias leave the area. The demonstrators have chanted "Free Syria, Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... out".
Escalating tension and widespread popular resentment are prevailing throughout Daraa province in the wake of large military build-ups brought in recently by regime forces, preparing for a large-scale military operation in the coming hours or days.
The popular resentment in Daraa has evolved to a new uprising against the Syrian regime, as demonstrations went out in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city and Tafas city in western countryside, in which the protesters chanted "long live Syria, down with Bashir al-Assad."
Syrian Observatory sources reported last night that a mass demonstration took out to the streets of Tafas city in Daraa countryside. The demonstrators chanted anti-regime slogans, as regime forces still bringing in military reinforcement and sectarian militias into the area, preparing for a full incursion into the southern region.
