Russian nuclear missile with ‘unlimited' range to be ready by 2025
[CNBC] ◘ Russia's nuclear-powered missile with so-called unlimited range will be ready for war within the next six years, a slightly accelerated timeline than previously reported, according to a U.S. intelligence assessment.

◘ The revelation of the new, more ambitious timeline for the missile comes even though the Kremlin has yet to secure a successful test over multiple attempts, according to sources with knowledge of a U.S. intelligence report.

◘ It also comes on the heels of a mysterious explosion off Russia's northern coast, which killed five scientists and sparked fears that Moscow had tested the missile in question, called Burevestnik.

Remember the flying nuclear reactor that explodes ? It killed some scientists too. Before not flying.
Burevestnik, also known as Skyfall
Barbara Broccoli is not suing
has been tested once earlier this year and prior to that, the weapon was tested four times between November 2017 and February 2018, each resulting in a crash.

The U.S. determined that the longest test flight lasted just more than two minutes, with the missile flying 22 miles before losing control and crashing. The shortest test lasted four seconds and flew for five miles. The tests apparently showed that the nuclear-powered heart of the cruise missile failed to initiate and, therefore, the weapon was unable to achieve the indefinite flight Putin bragged about.

Last March, Russian President Vladimir Putin unveiled several hypersonic weapons, as well as Burevestnik. Putin said it was nuclear powered and had unlimited range.
Yeah, it can go round and round the earth while Vlad makes up his mind.

#7  What is the point of an unlimited range? If you put it into orbit and have it waiting it effectively has an unlimited range and the Russians could do that already. Having the thing zooming around inside the atmosphere would be daft and just waiting for something, anything (lightning, a bird, a plane) to bring it down by accident.

#9  Nuclear-powered missiles cruising around sounds... fanciful. A nuclear-powered torpedo, now that's something else. Think of it as a little autonomous, single-use boomer happily cruising and lurking, cruising and lurking, just waiting for its day.

#10  Intelligence experts? How ironic on 9/11.

“Russia is committed to a massive investment in new systems like this to defeat U.S. missile defenses. We are stumbling toward an arms race,” Jeffrey Lewis, a nuclear weapons expert at the Middlebury Institute [VT]of International Studies at Monterey [CA].

“Trump’s personal friendship with Putin is no substitute for the treaties that restrained the nuclear superpowers. Whatever the two leaders say, the U.S. and Russian militaries are spending billions on new nuclear weapons targeted at each other,” Lewis told CNBC.

Lewis still hasn't gotten the Mueller Report conclusions, I see.

Britain
Brexit has its risks. But staying in the EU is now unthinkable
h/t Instapundit
[Spectator] This is one of the most crucial weeks in modern British history. We have a prime minister and cabinet who understand the stakes in terms of our future independence. But the forces fighting them ‐ some of them sincere, many of them cynical ‐ are fearsome. There are risks in proceeding with Brexit. But there are far greater risks in abandoning it.

This endless crisis has led to widespread criticism of British politicians of all hues, some of it justified. I find it deeply distasteful to see very senior Conservatives plotting with the opposition to bring down the Prime Minister. But far less criticism has been levelled at the EU itself ‐ which is odd, because Brussels is the cause of our agonies, past and present. The Brexit vote would have gone the other way if it had had the wit to give David Cameron the concessions he begged for. But that is not the nature of the EU imperial class. They intended to send a message: Brussels does not respond to democratic pressure. The British public got that message, and voted to leave.

The EU should have been dismayed over the loss of its oldest democracy and its second largest contributor. Our Brexit vote was a stunning indictment of the way the EU has been run: we asked it to reform, it refused; it dared us to vote to leave and we did. But rather than learn lessons and negotiate Brexit in good faith, it deployed the kind of cynicism exposed in the BBC fly-on-the-wall documentary Brexit: Behind Closed Doors, in which we hear private conversations between the EU negotiators, who are clearly determined to delay and give nothing to the British negotiators whom they mock.

#4  What No Deal really means:

1) Considerable turbulence on the stock markets, above all a collapse of the Pound. Increase in import prices, annual inflation of up to 5.25%, recession.

2) Border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland becomes the new EU external border. This threatens to undermine the peace that was achieved with the Good Friday Agreement of 1998. One third of Northern Ireland's goods that cross the border face tariffs of 15% or more. In combination with non-tariff barriers to trade, such as checks on compliance with sanitary and hygiene standards, trade could fall by 20%. One in twenty jobs in the region would be threatened.

3) The Irish government assumes that an unregulated Brexit will cost 55,000 jobs in the short term and another 30,000 jobs in the medium term. It expects severe disruptions in Irish-British trade. No-Deal-Brexit will reduce Irish economic performance by 3.3% over five years and by 5% in ten years. Employment falls by 2 to 3.4%.

4) Half of all British goods exports are threatened by delays and price increases. Substantial EU tariffs would mainly apply to car parts and agricultural goods; in addition there would be the necessary checks on compliance with product standards. Emergency planning at ports should mitigate the consequences, but not eliminate them. Some trade agreements with third countries, including Canada, Turkey and Japan, also lose their validity.

5) Some 245,000 small UK companies are currently trading with the EU without having to report it. For No-Deal-Brexit they need an Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number and customs declarations. Only 30% of them have applied for an EORI number. For a no deal Brexit, the number of customs declarations to be processed increases from 55 million annually to 250 million. The UK would need about two years to set up an adequate registration system.

6) The British government has announced that it will almost not impose customs duties on imports from the chaotic Brexit. This will expose British manufacturers to a blow of cheap competition from third countries, which until now have been held back by EU external tariffs.

7) The highly competitive British food trade is based on low margins and low logistics costs. Even small increases in delivery times and costs can have a strong impact. 30% of food consumed in the UK comes from the EU, for example an important proportion of fruit and vegetables come from Spain. Delays at ports would have the greatest effect on perishable goods.

8) The manufacturing industry depends on deliveries in real time and without large stocks. This affects aircraft (parts) and car manufacturers. The automotive industry accounts for 13% of British exports and directly employs 186,000 people. Around 60% of the parts used in a British car are imported from the EU. Another important supplier is Turkey, which is in a customs union with the EU. The British supplier landscape is not large enough to compensate foreign suppliers. Customs duties would make the export of a British car to the EU, the largest sales market in the industry, an average of £2700 more expensive.

9) The government plans to allow many products into the country duty-free in the case of No-Deal-Brexit in order to mitigate price shocks. Conversely, British farmers will not have this advantage when exporting to the EU. The EU accounts for two thirds of British food exports.

10) 40% of British food exports pass through the Dover and Folkestone ports. Deliveries would have to be inspected and tested either at or near the border when entering the EU. Animal feed must be checked for correct labelling. Organic food requires a special import permit. The UK would be excluded from access to the European Food Safety Authority and its rapid alert system for health risks.

11) Great Britain has one of the world's largest pharmaceutical industries. The sector generated sales of £64 billion in 2016 and employed 233 000 people. 48% of exports were exported to the EU in 2015 and 74% of the sector's imports came from there. Here, too, supply chains are highly integrated across countries and do not require long storage periods. According to a government estimate, the No-Deal-Brexit could reduce the gross value added of the sector by more than 20% over 15 years compared to remaining in the EU. Another threat is the possible decoupling from the EU regulatory framework for medicines and medical devices. The UK needed its own authorisation system. The approval burden for companies would double and delays would weaken the attractiveness of the location.

13) The British chemicals sector supplies 60% of its goods to the EU and procures 75% of its raw materials from there. Every chemical sold to the EU must have an authorisation under the unregulated Brexit, and this must be issued to a company established in the EU. Conversely, any chemical imported into the UK must also be registered there. The EU database, called Reach, contains 21 000 chemicals. Of these, 5000 chemicals are registered with companies established in the UK. In extreme cases, the UK industry loses access to 16 000 chemicals.

14) Services account for around 80% of the UK's economic output. The UK is the world's second largest exporter of services. Of the £283 billion worth of exports in 2018 (45% of all UK exports), £117 billion were delivered to EU customers. In this field, the country generates a large trade surplus. The No-Deal-Brexit and the abolition of the internal market mean great legal uncertainty for British suppliers in the EU. The recognition there of many professional approvals, for example by doctors and architects, would be called into question because it has to come from an EU country.

15) Without so-called EU equivalence recognition, EU companies would no longer be able to transfer personal data to British companies without difficulty. For example, a UK conference centre could lose bookings from European customers because they violate data protection rules when they send the list of participants to the conference provider.

16) Financial services from banks, brokers and exchanges, as well as related services from insurance companies and law firms, are an important pillar of the UK economy. Their contribution to gross domestic product in 2018 was just under 8%. Without EU equivalence recognition, they face exclusion from the EU market.

17) The supply of medicines is also likely to be affected by bottlenecks and delays at the ports. Every month, 37 million packages of medicines are shipped from the EU to the UK and 45 million packages in the opposite direction. The British government has called on pharmaceutical manufacturers to build up stocks for three months. One particular concern is the supply of insulin, which is almost entirely imported from the continent.

18) Almost 6% of the labour force in the English part of the NHS comes from other EU countries, compared with 3% in Scotland. Their residence status must be clarified and secured. Similar to research and education, Brexit already discourages European professionals. There is great concern about a shortage of medical personnel, especially nurses and in rural areas.

20) The United Kingdom is part of various police and judicial systems in the EU. These include the European Search System (European Arrest Warrant), the Schengen Information System (a database on border management), Europol (a judicial authority) and databases on visa issuance, criminal records, law enforcement coordination and fingerprint identification. The No-Deal-Brexit interrupts the active participation in these systems as well as the access to all data.

The economy works based on people being productive. No productivity changes in Brexit, in fact with less subsidised migration and swapping out income taxes and upping tariffs the economy can improve, after all there's no lead for the 20% internal EUSSR tariff called VAT.

#14  European Conservative, you forgot one.

The British will be able to sell their goods around the world (especially in the Commonwealth) without restrictions put in place because of EU protections on member products.
Posted by: ruprecht || 09/11/2019 16:26 Comments || Top||

#15  If you read what I posted: The British will first have to MAKE all these products without relying on the European supply chain AND if they do, they will first have to make up for the losses they will suffer in the EU market and cope with new competition from all those Commonwealth countries which will be able to now sell their products in the UK at bargain prices.

Just an example: Pharmaceutical products.
Posted by: European Conservative || 09/11/2019 16:37 Comments || Top||

#16  Yes people will just stop buying and selling things they'll be no substitution and the EUSSR is such an efficient market that doesnt charge high tariffs and produce such unique items that cannot be found elsewhere without any substitution.

No wonder the EUSSR economy is so screwed if what EC emotes is mainstream economic "thought".
Posted by: Bright Pebbles || 09/11/2019 17:15 Comments || Top||

#17  Ask your own government:

The Yellowhammer document predicts that a no-deal Brexit would lead to food, medicine and petrol shortages, with a hard border in the island of Ireland, and "three-month meltdown" at ports unable to cope with extra checks. There could be protests requiring police action, and thousands of jobs could be lost as two oil refineries closed. A senior Whitehall source said "This is not Project Fear, this is the most realistic assessment of what the public face with no deal. These are likely, basic, reasonable scenarios – not the worst case."

#19  This is not Project Fear? Sounds like FUD to me.

It was costly to fight Hitler and Napoleon but the British decided that independence was more important. In the end, Hitler and Napoleon paid even higher prices. The people who run the EUSSR might want to consider the lessons of history. And, once again, the British might find Americans, Canadians, New Zealanders and Australians to be helpful.

9/11: Never Forget How U.S. Intelligence Failed You
h/t Instapundit
[AmericanGreatness] The September 11, 2001 attacks were the result of an unmitigated intelligence failure. No, 9/11 was not an "inside job," as many conspiracy theorists believe. Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda network were responsible. But, the 9/11 plot did not happen in a vacuum.

In reality, America’s elephantine national security state had known of bin Laden and his network years before the horrific events of 9/11. Some of the most powerful people in the national security state routinely downplayed and ignored the threat al-Qaeda posed to the United States before 19 hijackers murdered 2,911 people in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

#6  Intelligence agencies, militaries, politicians, law... they're ultimately comprised of people. It is a complacently liberal society that failed you. The bureaucrats came later, out of you.

Who died ? People at work. Taxpayers, service personnel, clerks, real * people. Who didn't ? Wards of the state, professional emoters, celebrities and useless motherfuckers that voted for and fielded muslims in their constituencies.

DRUNKEN RANT

Instead of a nationwide quarantine on muslims like you did with japos after pearl harbor, assholes in the State Dept went on to employ more muslims, saying they needed 'culture translators' and 'advisors about islam' to combat the 'extremists'. As if no one had learned anything about islam yet. They had practically created the jihadi. I won't bring that up, Carter and the USSR bigfoot... No.

And then America went on to elect a nig..wakandan with Hussein in his name. Just because he was a dandy fop and a hit with the rebels, the dregs of real * society. And the rest of America went on, went to their progressive churches, their tupperware parties, worried about mortgages and the kardashians. While Langley and the puzzle box proceeded to do whatever the fuck they think they're doing in Afghanistan. because Bin Laden may've taken a few shits in them hills ? The schweinhund was in Pakistain all along ! Why not declare war on them ? No, they had to be paid billions to what ? Oh ! Find and arrest terrorists.

* real people, real society = law abiding folks that coexist without hassle.

I say it was not the alphabeteers that failed, but a society that slowly compromised with being preyed upon, by politicians protecting predators. The wakandans - because oh your grandpaws once whipped them into a semblance of urbanity. The muslims - who we must respect the sensitivities of, halaal burgers and burkinis and CAIRs because really we are afraid of facing butchers with federal protectors. Now, we are beset by everything from dyke militias with pepper spray to cartels operating in suburbs a cop dares not enter.

It's easy to blame elected and appointed officials for being useless, but you had the Ist and IInd amendment rights. Every gun-owning American should have declared war on the Abduls and the Akbars right then, until the state had to call for a truce and they huddled shivering in camps. This is something even people as far as China could not believe - that no one even tried, save for the motley placard holders and unhinged sorts who made the further case for protection of muslims from backlash. There was no decisive response to islamics from the most armed citizenry on earth. I still haven't.

Maybe this constant drumming of humanist bullshit ideals in schools, the faux faith of systematizing everything from guilt to angst, psycho babble and group hugs and sitting in a circle talking about shit to forget it, enabled society to overcome and compromise with the murder of their own. I'm not saying religion would have been better, turn the cheek an' all that will see you in chains in fact. I'm frustrated with the inaction. And I'm not even American ! But when I see the most powerful nation on earth, with the most self-governing of societies, armed to the teeth, acquiesce to a nanny state that allows 'islamic patrols' in the same city. A CAIR on capitol hill even after a thing like 9/11, I fear for the whole world. I'll admit my fear. I thank Gawd my hatred burns hotter than fear. I believe many American people feel the same way. More.

There is going to be a critical point some day. There has to be a learned, coordinated action against traitors and infiltrators by citizens, by serving personnel, counter-partisans working within the govt. The left are clearly traitors, and in the minority. If the left can raise such a well coordinated and protected antifa, why can't the Right ? Look at how HK stood up to the Han giant recently, ouster of dictators and forced resignations of islamist and symp politicians worldwide. Islamists have to be shown they have no say or political power in our societies. They have to be dis-empowered.

End of Rant. Sorry fro being a prick. Shit, I probably shouldn't drink and type.

I speak from an advantage right now of course, things have been contained where I am, but this deluge is already crashing on my shores, in more subtil forms. The only reason the islamists have left an easy target like India alone for so long, is because the west made themselves an easier target.

All in the Comey Family
h/t Instapundit
[NationalReview] By his own admission, the recently fired FBI director James Comey leaked at least four memos of private presidential conversations ‐ at least one of them containing some classified secret material ‐ variously to his lawyers and through liaisons to the press. In both phone calls and personal meetings, Comey never gave any hint to the president he served that he intended to leave a written record of the conversations for what turned out to be his own selfish agenda.

Comey said his intent by leaking his versions of these conversations was to force a brouhaha that would in turn prompt Acting Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to appoint a special counsel. That gambit worked to perfection when, shortly after Comey’s scripted media leaks, Robert Mueller, his predecessor, former FBI director, and longtime friend, was appointed special counsel, apparently to do what the now fired James Comey could not.

...Yet despite taking more than 22 months and costing over $30 million in costs, the Mueller team’s investigation found no collusion and no grounds for indicting Trump on obstruction of the non-crime of collusion. So, many months and millions later, Mueller ended up exempting the real Russian collusion while chasing in vain the fake collusion.

Israeli Army Resumes Drilling, Barricading Works Opposite al-Wazzani
[AnNahar] The Israeli army on Monday resumed drilling and barricading works near the military road that is adjacent to the electronic border fence opposite the Lebanese al-Wazzani park, Leb’s National News Agency said.

An Israeli military patrol meanwhile combed the military road next to the border wall between the Israeli settlement of Metulla and the hills of the Lebanese town of Adaisseh.

The Lebanese Army and UNIFIL peacekeepers were meanwhile patrolling areas near the border wall to assess the situation.

An Israeli drone meanwhile hovered over the Marjeyoun district during the Israeli movements.

Rwanda Agrees to Take in African Migrants Stuck in Libya
[AnNahar] Rwanda agreed Tuesday to take in hundreds and potentially thousands of African migrants colonists stranded in Libya, a deal the African Union

hopes to replicate with other member states.

"We will be receiving the initial number of 500 in a few weeks," Hope Tumukunde Gasatura, Rwanda's ambassador to the AU, told a news conference after signing a memorandum of understanding alongside representatives of the AU and the U.N. refugee agency UNHCR.

The first group "is principally made up of people originating from the Horn of Africa," the AU and the U.N. said in a statement.

They will be housed in a transit center in Rwanda before being resettled elsewhere unless they agree to return to their home countries.

In the chaos that followed the fall and killing of former dictator Muammar Qadaffy

in a 2011 uprising, Libya became a key transit point for sub-Saharan African migrants colonists seeking to embark on dangerous journeys to Europe

The UN says some 42,000 migrants colonists are currently in Libya.

"We have been desperately searching for solutions for those people," said Cosmas Chanda, UNHCR's representative to the AU.

The Rwandan government is prepared to take in as many as 30,000 Africans from Libya, though the plan is for the process to unfold in batches of 500 to prevent the country from becoming overwhelmed.

bastion in the Lebanese capital's southern suburbs on Tuesday as thousands of black-clad Shiites commemorated the seventh-century killing of Prophet Mohammed's grandson.

"We have taught Israel that our people are not weak," the men cried, beating their chests in unison, during an Ashoura commemoration marking the killing of Imam Hussein in battle by Caliph Yazid's forces.

This year's ceremony comes shortly after a series of confrontations between Hizbullah and Israel, including an exchange of cross-border fire at the start of the month.

Standing behind the crowd, a black banner tied around his head, Mohammad Ali praised the September 1 Hizbullah missile attack on Israel that triggered the border flare-up.

"For years, our families and our children have slept in bunkers because of the Israelis," said the 49-year-old.

"Now it is their turn to sleep in bunkers," he told AFP. "The era of defeat is over."

Egypt arrests 16 Brotherhood members accused of links with Turkey fugitives
[AlAhram] Egyptian authorities have arrested 16 Moslem Brüderbund members associated with plans by the group's runaway leaders in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
to undermine the country's security and economy, the interior ministry said.

The suspects were arrested in Egypt after the National Security service uncovered a plot by the runaways intended to harm the economy and carry out a series of attacks against the police, military and judiciary to create chaos in the country, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The plan allegedly involved setting up secret networks designed to smuggle foreign currency and wanted Brotherhood members out of the country to Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
through Turkey, and to offer financial support to Brotherhood members in Egypt to carry out violent attacks.

The ministry named four runaways who it said have been identified by authorities as the orchestrators of the plot. Sixteen other Brotherhood members based in Egypt and linked to the plan have been arrested, it said.

Egypt designated the Moslem Brüderbund a terrorist organization in 2013, months after the ouster of Islamist president Mohammed Morsi following mass protests

Satellite images show US-pursued Iran tanker still off Syrian coast
[IsraelTimes] UK accuses Tehran of selling 2.1 million barrels of crude oil on board Adrian Darya to ’brutal’ Assad regime, violating international sanctions.

New satellite photos obtained Tuesday show an Iranian oil tanker pursued by the US remains off the coast of Syria.

The images from Planet Labs obtained by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named have the Adrian Darya-1 still near the port city of Tartus. The images taken Sunday show another smaller vessel nearby.

The Adrian Darya 1, formerly known as the Grace 1, was carrying 2.1 million barrels of Iranian crude oil worth some $130 million.

Three Australians detained in Iran
[Jpost] Three Australian citizens have been detained in Iran, the Australian government said on Wednesday, adding that it was helping the families of the three but gave no further details.

The brief statement from Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade came after the British newspaper the Times reported that two British-Australian women and the Australian boyfriend of one of them had been enjugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
in Iran.

"The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is providing consular assistance to the families of three Australians detained in Iran. Due to our privacy obligations, we will not comment further," a department front man said in emailed comments.

The detentions have come amid heightened tension between Western powers and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
after the United States withdrew from a deal that imposed curbs on Iran's nuclear programme and then imposed sanctions on it, aiming to halt its oil exports.

The Times said a blogger who had been travelling in Asia with her Australian boyfriend, as well as an academic who had studied at Cambridge University and was lecturing at a university in Australia were tossed into the calaboose in separate incidents.

They are being held in the same prison in Tehran where a British-Iranian aid worker, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, has been enjugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
since 2016 on spying charges, the Times said.

The newspaper did not name the dual British-Australians at the request of the British Foreign Office and said the Australian government was taking the lead in both cases.

The Australian government's official travel advice for Iran overall is for people to reconsider the need to travel to Iran "due to the risk that foreigners, including Australians, could be arbitrarily detained or arrested. Dual nationals are also at risk". (https://smartraveller.gov.au/Countries/middle-east/Pages/iran.aspx)

"We can't guarantee access to consular services or legal representation if you're detained or arrested," the government says.

The Times said the blogger was arrested about 10 weeks ago with her boyfriend.

It was unclear when or why the lecturer was arrested, the Times said. She is being held in solitary confinement and has been sentenced to 10 years, according to a source cited by the Times.

[Jpost] The city of Bonn, the former capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, banned four Paleostinian organizations from participating in its late September cultural festival because they support the antisemitic BDS campaign targeting the Jewish state.

The Bonn-based General Anzeiger paper reported on Monday that the city defended the decision in a letter, writing that in Bonn there "is no place for the antisemitic BDS movement."

BDS is an abbreviation for Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions. The Bonn city council passed a resolution in May declaring the BDS campaign antisemitic and anti-Israel. The Bonn mainstream parties represented in the city council--Christian Democratic Union, Social Democratic Party, the Green Party and the Free Democratic Party-- said that, "Institutions of the city of Bonn shall not provide premises for the BDS campaign nor support events of the BDS campaign or of groups that pursue the objectives of the BDS campaign."

As a result of the city excluding the pro-BDS Paleostinian organizations from the September 29 cultural festival titled "Diversity," three of the four NGOs filed a legal suit against the city’s decision. The pro-BDS groups claim the city’s decision violates their free speech rights. Two of the Paleostinian organizations who are banned are: The German-Paleostinian Society and the Regional Group NRW South.

In December, 2018, an administrative court ruled that the Munich city council was within its rights to ban BDS organizations from municipal buildings and to deny city funds to the anti-Israelis organizations. In April, the city of Bremen in northern Germany cancelled a talk with the anti-Israel former pastor and BDS supporter Martin Breidert, who is a member of the German-Paleostinian Society involved in the suit against the city of Bonn. Germany’s federal parliament defined BDS as antisemitic in May.

Iraq
U.S. Air Force Uses F-35s To Bomb ISIS Island at start of gov’t anti-ISIS operation in Salahuddin province
Very dramatic video at the link of lots of neatly lined up explosions.
[Jpost] The Spokesperson for Operation Inherent Resolve, the 81-member coalition to defeat ISIS
...embracing their inner Islamic Brute...
wrote that this is what it looks like when CENTCOM Air Force jets bomb a "ISIS infested island."

US Air Force F-35s and F-15s dropped 36,000 kilograms of bombs on an ISIS "infested" Epstein island in Iraq, leading to massive explosions and plumes of smoke that rose into the air just before dawn on Tuesday.

In one of the most explosive videos to come out of the war against ISIS the US tweeted film of massive explosions rocking an island. Spliced between aerial shots of the same explosions, and video from the ground with Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service members looking on, the island was pulverized. The Spokesperson for Operation Inherent Resolve, the 81-member coalition to defeat ISIS wrote that this is what it looks like when CENTCOM Air Force jets bomb a "ISIS infested island."

Video of the incident had circulated throughout the day with some wondering if it was real or was from today, but the tweet by front man Col. Myles Caggins III revealed the sheer massive firepower that was brought to bear on the ISIS enemy. There were so many explosions along the Z shaped island that it took wide angle lenses and multiple sweeps of the camera to record them all.

The island is called Qanus Island and a statement from the coalition said that "Coalition and Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service forces conducted air-strikes on Qanus island in the Salah ad-Din Province, Iraq on September 10, 2019." The statement said it was a join effort between the coalition and the Iraqis to defeat ISIS on the island. "The island is believed to be a major transit hub and safe haven for ISIS," the statement read. It said that the coalition had taken extraordinary efforts to protect noncombatants.

The coalition, in coordination with Iraqi and Kurdish Peshmerga also reportedly killed ten ISIS members in rural areas near Makhmour on Monday. Together the achievements show that ISIS is still trying to continue its threats but that intelligence and surveillance by the various forces involved have led to the defeat of ISIS cells and holdouts and attempts to rebuild networks destroyed in 2017.
Iraqi News adds:
“Follow-on ground clearance operations are currently taking place by the 2nd Iraqi Special Operations Forces Battalion to destroy a major transit hub for Daesh members moving from Syria and the Jazeera desert into Mosul, Makhmour, and the Kirkuk region,” the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in a press statement.

In this regard, Special Operations Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, commander, Eric Hill said “we’re denying Daesh the ability to hide on Qanus Island.”

“We’re setting the conditions for our partner forces to continue bringing stability to the region,” he affirmed.

The statement indicated that the coalition forces used 80,000 pounds of munitions on the island “to disrupt Daesh the ability to hide in the thick vegetation.”

“CTS Forces continue to conduct ground clearance operations to destroy any remaining Fallul Daesh on the island.”
And from Rudaw:
US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the airstrikes in a Tuesday tweet.

“Coalition warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes to support the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Forces to clear areas such as Kanous and deserts of of Saladin province. These operations prevent the crossing of Daesh from Syria and Jazira Desert to Mosul, Makhmour and Kirkuk,” CENTCOM tweeted.

ICT announced on Monday that they had killed 15 ISIS militants and arrested 9 others in a military rappel operation in the desert of Saladin province with the help of US-led coalition warplanes.
The Daily Mail has the usual photos, and adds:
Data shows that strikes have also picked up in Afghanistan with US jets dropping nearly 800 bombs against targets in Afghanistan last month.

In August, the OIR (Operation Inherent Resolve) and the Syrian Democratic Forces reported that they have detained more than 225 suspected Daesh fighters in the last 4 months and removed 4,000 pounds of explosives from the battlefield within the two months.

Within the same month, more than 200 bombs were dropped on the terrorist group.

Between July 2 and July 31, 2019, the OIR conducted 33 strikes consisting of 60 engagements against Daesh targets in Iraq.

The coalition also engaged 101 Daesh tactical units, destroyed 15 buildings, eight bed-down locations, seven tunnels, seven weapons caches, four vehicles, one improvised explosive device site and completed one terrain denial mission.

Iraq launches anti-Islamic State operation in Salahuddin

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) – An Iraqi counter-terrorism force announced on Tuesday the launch of a military operation to track down Islamic State militants in Salahuddin province.

The operation, dubbed “Black Dust”, was launched in Kanous village, northeast of Salahuddin, Alghad Press quoted the Counter-Terrorism Service as saying in a statement.

It is backed by warplanes of the U.S.-led international coalition and Nineveh police, the statement read.

IDF airstrikes hit 15 sites in Gaza after 2 rockets fired at Israeli cities
[IsraelTimes] Rockets appear to target PM Netanyahu who was holding election rally in Ashdod, security guards forced him from stage; Iron Dome intercepts both.

The IDF launched a series of Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...

...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip early Wednesday, just hours after Gaza bully boyz fired two rockets the southern cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was holding an election rally there.

The IDF said warplanes hit 15 different targets across the Strip "including a number of targets in a military base producing arms, a number of targets in a compound belonging to the naval forces and a terror tunnel belonging to the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, terror group."

The army said it held Hamas responsible for the rocket fire.

Paleostinian sources reported heavy strikes and explosions in Beit Lahiya just north of Gaza City, Deir el-Balah in central Gaza and also in Khan Younis in the south.

There were no reports of injuries.

Netanyahu was forced to seek shelter during a campaign event in Ashdod on Tuesday night as rocket sirens went off. Both were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

Israeli analysts said it appeared that Gaza terrorist deliberately targeted the southern cities, knowing that Netanyahu and other politicians were holding rallies there. Netanyahu’s rally was being live-streamed on his Facebook page.

Most recent rocket fire from the Strip has targeted surrounding communities, only firing on the lam Israelis cities during major flare-ups or if trying to provoke a heavy Israeli response.

Early Wednesday, Paleostinian media reported that an IDF tank had fired a shell at empty Hamas position in southern Gaza, causing no injuries. There was no comment from the IDF.

The city of Ashkelon opened its public bomb shelters after the sirens went off as a precautionary measure in case rocket attacks persisted.

World must not remain indifferent to tragedy unfolding in Kashmir, Qureshi tells UN Rights Council
[DAWN] Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi
...a Pak political shape-changer. He is undistinguished except for his habit of periodically needing to have his lips reattached...
on Tuesday said that the international community "must not remain indifferent to the tragedy that is unfolding before our eyes" in occupied Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
Addressing the 42nd session of the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
Human Rights Council in Geneva, Qureshi while referring to India's recent actions in Kashmir said: "Today, I have knocked on the doors of the Human Rights Council, the repository of the world’s conscience on human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
, to seek justice and respect for the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

"We must not allow this august body to be embarrassed on the world stage. As a founding member of this council, Pakistain feels morally and ethically bound to prevent this from occurring," he stressed, adding that in order to do so the body should not remain indifferent to the tragedy that was unfolding in Kashmir.

"We must not let political, commercial, and parochial considerations cloud and impair our thoughts and action.

"We must act decisively and with conviction."

Qureshi urged the UNHRC to "pay heed to the plight of the Kashmiri people" and to address the warning signs of a "looming human catastrophe".

Moody’s Downgrades Ford to ‘Junk’ Status on Weak Outlook
[BREITBART] Moody’s downgraded Ford’s credit rating to speculative or “junk” status on Monday, citing the company’s weak financial outlook as it embarks on an ambitious restructuring.

Characterizing the auto giant’s current overhaul as “unprecedentedly large and challenging,” the ratings agency slashed Ford’s debt to the non-investment-grade “Ba1” — saying prospects for its cash flow and profit margins through the 2020-2021 period were poor.

Ford’s performance has eroded “during a period in which global automotive conditions have been fairly healthy,” Moody’s said.

“Ford now faces the challenges of addressing these operational problems as demand in major markets is softening and as the auto industry is contending with an unprecedented pace of change relating to vehicle electrification, autonomous driving, ride sharing and increasingly burdensome emission regulations.”

However, Ford “does have a sound balance sheet and liquidity position from which to operate,” said Moody’s senior vice president Bruce Clark.

The US automaker faces operational inefficiencies in all key regional markets, as well as a much-diminished outlook in China, which has seen profits sink from more than $1 billion in 2016 to a major loss, according to Moody’s.

Ford has made progress in lowering costs in China but the outlook is still uncertain because of an “increasingly competitive” auto market and the country’s weaker near-term growth rates, Moody’s said.

NRA sues San Francisco for declaring it a domestic terrorist organization
[SFGate] The National Rifle Association is suing the city and county of the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for declaring it a domestic terrorist organization earlier this month through a resolution passed by the board.

In the lawsuit, which was filed Monday in the U.S. District Court in San Francisco, the NRA claims that SF and the Board of Supervisors "adopted a new government policy: blacklist anyone linked to the NRA." They are claiming that the resolution violates the organization's first and fourteenth amendment rights.

The NRA called the resolution "obviously unconstitutional" before comparing it moves by the state of New York and city of Los Angeles they said were similar to SF's.

"Regrettably, this Court, too must step in to instruct elected officials that freedom of speech means you cannot silence or punish those with whom you disagree," the NRA urged before going on to mention its millions of members, some of whom they say "have risked everything to protect Americans from terrorism."

"Therefore, the Resolution's 'terrorist' designation is a frivolous insult‐but San Francisco's actions pose a non-frivolous constitutional threat," the NRA said.

"In the face of recent, similar blacklisting schemes, financial institutions have expressed reluctance to provide bank accounts for disfavored political groups, and city contractors fear losing their livelihoods if they support or even work with the NRA."

Through the lawsuit, the NRA is seeking to stop SF from "interfering" in its exercise of rights, assessing the relationships businesses in SF have with the NRA and potentially taking action against them, and enforcing the resolution that was passed on September 4.

The organization is also asking for damages and for an injunction against SF and the Board of Supervisors.

Africa Subsaharan
Kenyan Orders Mentorship of ‘Incompetent’ Cuban Slave Doctors
[BREITBART] Kenyan doctors are decrying a government memorandum ordering them to mentor “incompetent” Cuban slave doctors as they cannot be trusted to work alone, noting that they opposed importing more doctors to the African country when so many native medical professionals are out of a job, Diario de Cuba reported on Monday.

The Spanish newspaper, citing Kenya’s Daily Nation, noted that Kenyan Health Secretary Susan Mochache reportedly issued the memorandum on August 7, but the Nation first made it public this weekend.

An alleged copy of the memorandum circulating in Kenyan media sources indicates that the government expected the Cuban doctors to be of high enough quality to mentor the Kenyans, but that the results of that project have “not been optimal” and that the government now needs for the reverse to happen to ensure that citizens’ health care does not suffer from the Cuban doctors’ inability to do their jobs.

The Daily Nation coupled the revelation of the memorandum with reports at the local level of Cuban slave doctors being unable to diagnose common diseases without the help of Kenyan doctors and being demoted for “incompetence,” fueling frustration among Kenyan doctors.

The Cuban communist regime makes an estimated $11 billion exporting doctors around the world. Upon leaving the country, the doctors receive a meager “living stipend” and have severe restrictions imposed on their mobility, contact with their families, and freedom of expression. The Castro regime keeps 75 percent of their salaries, and a doctor who chooses to leave the program is banned from entering Cuba for eight years.

Cuban doctors who have defected from the program have referred to it as slavery, and human rights advocates have compared it to prostitution.

The Daily Nation disclosed that the memorandum was directed to Kenyan medical superintendents, ordering them to make Kenyan doctors mentor their Cuban counterparts, and suggested that the order has “given credence to the concerns earlier raised by local medical practitioners that the programme was ill-advised.”

"During the night the IDF drone fell in the southern Gaza Strip.

The aircraft was downed amid a recent escalation of tensions in the region. The IDF struck positions of the Paleostinian Hamas movement last week after a drone attack against an Israeli military vehicle.

The incident followed the reported deaths of two Paleostinian teens in festivities with IDF soldiers along the border, where mass rallies have been held since March 2018. According to the local health ministry, another 46 protesters were maimed.

Education Is Driven By False Premises and Practices
[AmericanThinker] Bruce Deitrick Price in a recent article at quora.com perceptively noted that "teachers understand a lot less about what’s going on in their own classrooms than you might imagine."
I've a simple rule - if she/he/it has a degree (from teacher to PhD) in XXX education they know XXX the way non-Arabic speaking Muslim knows Koran
He adds that the Education Establishment has "done a great job of making everything so murky that nobody understands what is going on." Murky is a synonym for "shadowy" such as the shadows on the wall in Plato’s Allegory of the Cave in Book VII of The Republic. The murkiness is premised on the belief that educational outcomes can be produced, even mass produced, independent of the commitment or natural abilities of the student. Classroom settings and accepted behaviors, software programs, positive thinking, and making allowance for supposed cultural differences among various groups of learners would allow for more consistent success at a high level for most students. This of course has proved false.

Sixteen Dead, 75 Injured in Stampede at Iraqi Shiite Muslim Shrine
[BREITBART] A human stampede of Shiite Muslim pilgrims at a major shrine in the Iraqi city of Karbala claimed 16 lives on Tuesday and left dozens more injured, the health ministry said.

The shrine stands around 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Baghdad, said spokesman Saif al-Badr, stressing that the toll was not final among those who were there to mark the holy day of Ashura.

It is the deadliest stampede in recent history during Ashura, when Shiite pilgrims from around the world swarm Karbala to commemorate the death of Mohammed’s grandson.

According to Shiite belief, Imam Hussein went knowingly to his death at the hands of Yazid’s forces in what is now Iraq in a bid to expose the corruption and irreligiosity of his rule.
Courtesy of lord garth, lots of photos from The Sun, which adds:
The anniversary is a national holiday in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, and Pakistan, and typically involves public expressions of mourning.

The Ashura festivities were marked by tragedy in Iraq's holy city of Karbala after more than 30 pilgrims died and another 100 were wounded in a stampede when a walkway collapsed.

Some Muslims mark the day with the practice of Tatbir, in which a sword or scourge is used to draw blood in remembrance of the innocent blood of Husayn.

Many who take part in the practice believe it cleanses them of their sins.

There is no difference. Both are transliterations of the same word written in the Arabic alphabet, so it is just a matter of personal preference.

You may, if you’ve read older English-language writings on the subject, for example by Winston Churchill, have even seen Musselman. which also means exactly the same thing: a follower of the prophet Mohammed.

Rockets target Mitiga Airport after airstrikes on Haftar's militias south of Tripoli
[Libya Observer] Rockets were fired at Mitiga International Airport yesterday evening by Haftar's forces stationed in Ain Zara area.

Sources said that the attack comes in response to the aerial bombardment carried out by the Libyan Air Force on Haftar's militias posts in Qasr bin Ghashir area yesterday.

A number of foreign mercenaries fighting alongside Haftar's militias were reported to have been killed in the Libyan Air forces attack.

The mercenaries were hired to operate sophisticated weapons, recently received from countries supporting Haftar in his war against Tripoli

Parliament Votes Against Early Election as BoJo Reaffirms He Will Not Seek Brexit Extension
[BREITBART] The United Kingdom will not face fresh national elections in the short term after Parliament voted against submitting itself to the approval or otherwise of the British people for the second time, as the Prime Minister insisted he would not permit another Brexit extension and the longest Parliament in modern history was finally suspended.

In an eventful Parliamentary day, the last in this session before a fix week break into mid-October, Boris Johnson
...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies....
’s minority government failed for the second time to have itself dissolved for fresh election. While the Parliamentary arithmetic has rendered the government unable to govern making in ordinary constitutiona times snap elections essential, the opposition appears to be weaponising the chaos, preventing a vote to force through a Brexit delay leading to a cancellation.

Despite Parliament voting to legally compell the government to seek a Brexit extension from the Europe

Speaking after the snap election vote failed to pass in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister slammed the opposition for shirking national elections.

#1  Looks like the parliamentarian puppets are doing everything to avoid putting the choice to the people.

Boris should just be able to tell the EUSSR to foxtrot oscar , with a BTW they asked for an extension, which hopefully should be denied and Britain can finally be free.

Boris need only offer one non-EUSSR fan country financial aid equivalent to what the UK would have subsidised them with in order for them to veto an extension.

Syrian military on high alert as Israeli strikes are expected
[ALMASDARNEWS] On Monday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) accused the Iranian-backed forces in Damascus of firing a number of rockets towards their territory.

While none of the alleged rockets hit any site inside Israeli territory, the IDF often responds to these attacks by launching strikes on the Syrian military’s positions.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Armed Forces are on high alert as the Israeli Defense Forces are expected to launch strikes inside Syria in the next few days.

The source denied any rockets were fired from Damascus into Israel, adding that the latter is using this as a pretext to attack Syria.

Prior to the alleged rocket attack, Israel was accused of carrying out dronezaps over a military encampment belonging to an Iraqi paramilitary group in eastern Syria.

As a result of these dronezaps, at least 18 members of the Iraqi paramilitary group were killed and another 38 were maimed.

Israel has yet to comment on these allegations; they also haven’t comment on the allegations that they carried out the dronezaps over the Hashd al-Sha’abi base in Iraq’s Salaheddine Governorate on July 19th.

University of Kentucky to Move Classes from Building with ‘Offensive’ Mural
[BREITBART] The University of Kentucky announced this week that it will remove mandatory classes from a campus building that features a controversial mural that critics claim remind them of Kentucky’s "unsavory history."
In a move that was designed to appease leftist student activists, the University of Kentucky announced over the weekend that it will remove mandatory classes from a building on campus that is home to a controversial mural. The mural, which includes stereotypes of blacks and Native American, has been a point of contention at the University of Kentucky for some time.

A column in the Lexington Herald-Leader argues that white students should support their black classmates that want the mural taken down. The author, who argues that white Americans wrongly believe that racial oppression ended in the 19th century, says that the mural is a symbol of Kentucky’s "unsavory history."

#5  Just saying -

As reported in the Lexington Herald-Leader, by Greg Kocher, "Kentucky supported Lincoln's efforts to abolish slavery — 111 years late," on 23 February 2013 -- Here's an OMG fact for you: The Kentucky legislature didn't go on record against slavery until 1976 — 111 years after the 13th Amendment prohibiting involuntary servitude became the law of the land.

See Kentucky didn't succeed from the Union in those early days of 1861. In fact, the Kentucky legislature declared Kentucky neutral which didn't stop an invasion of Confederate forces. As such, it was not effected by the Emaciation Proclamation which only applied to states in rebellion. When the 13th Amendment went to the states to be ratified, the position taken by Kentucky pols (and slave owners) was that the act was a taking without compensation. Kentucky became the last state of the union, circa 1865, to get around to ratifying the amendment.

So, maybe these SJWs need to just boycott all of Kentucky?

Migrant Charged for Alleged Sex with Cow Arrested Again in Texas
[BREITBART] A Mexican migrant arrested earlier this year after Border Patrol agents saw him allegedly having sex with a cow was arrested again in South Texas. Police in the Rio Grande Valley arrested the man on allegations of intoxicated driving.

In March, Border Patrol agents observed a Mexican man illegally present in the United States having sex with a cow, Breitbart Texas reported. The alleged act of bestiality took place in Starr County, officials reported at the time:

At the scene, deputies interviewed 28-year-old Jose Nino, a Mexican national who was in the country illegally. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nino and took him to the Starr County jail. Nino went before Starr County Justice of the Peace Ramiro Guillen, who formally charged him with one count of bestiality, a state jail felony, and set his bond at $1,500 personal recognizance. Deputies then turned Nino over to U.S. Border Patrol.

Now, the man appears to be in trouble with the law again.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested Jose Nino this week for allegedly driving while intoxicated, KGBT’s Sydney Hernandez reported in a tweet.

Immigration officials told Breitbart Texas that Nino has a lengthy immigration history which includes multiple violations for illegal re-entry after removal. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed an immigration detainer on Nino on Monday.

Indian police drop murder charges against 11 accused of lynching Muslim man
[DAWN] Indian police have dropped murder charges against 11 individuals accused of involvement in the killing of a Moslem man who was tortured and forced to chant Hindu slogans in June, Scroll.in reported on Tuesday.

Quoting The Indian Express, the publication reported that police in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand said one of the reasons that charges had not been filed under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code was because a post-mortem examination attributed Tabrez Ansari's death to a cardiac arrest.

Earlier, two coppers were suspended over the handling of the lynching of Ansari, captured on a video that went viral on Indian social media.

The 24-year-old was seen in the video crying and pleading as a mob in Jharkhand forced him to chant "Jai Sri Ram" (hail Lord Ram), a slogan widely used by Hindu hardliners.

Ansari had been accused by villagers of carrying out a burglary. He was tied to a pole and beaten for up to 12 hours before police first detained him in Seraikela, and then took him to hospital ‐ where he died.

PA raises salary of terrorist who helped carry out Cafe Hillel attack
[Jpost] The Paleostinian Authority has just raised the salary of the terrorist who prepared the suicide belt for the bombing attack in Jerusalem’s Café Hillel on September 9, 2003, Paleostinian Media Watch reported.

The attack, which took place 16 years ago Monday, resulted in the murder of seven people and the injury of 57. It occurred hours after another suicide kaboom attack at a bus stop near the Assaf Harofeh Hospital and the Tzrifin military base, in which nine people were killed and 18 maimed.

Since the attacks, the PA has paid 3,248,900 shekels in financial rewards to the Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, bandidos holy warriors who carried them out, according to PMW.

Specifically, the PA just raised the salaries of the two bandidos holy warriors who prepared the suicide belts to from NIS 6,000 to 7,000 shekels/month.

"Similar to an employee of any company that receives a raise after a certain period of employment ‐ following PA law ‐ these two bandidos holy warriors received a salary increase for having completed 15 years in prison," explained Maurice Hirsch, head of legal strategies at PMW.

The bandidos holy warriors were arrested in July and August 2004.

Among the victims of the Café Hillel attack in Jerusalem were Dr. David Applebaum and his daughter Nava, who was to be married the day after the attack. David was American-born and served as head of the emergency room and trauma services of Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center. Shortly before the attack, he participated in a symposium where he taught terror-trauma procedures to medical professionals.

"According to PMW’s calculations following the PA’s own pay scale, the PA has, to date, paid the six bandidos holy warriors who were arrested and imprisoned for their roles in the attacks, a total of 2,892,500 shekels," Hirsch explained. "In addition to the monthly salaries it pays to the imprisoned terrorists, the PA has also paid the families of the two jacket wallahs ‐ so-called "Martyrs" ‐ a total of 356,400 shekels since the attacks.

"Simply because the bandidos holy warriors blew themselves up to kill Jews, each family has so far received 178,200 shekels," he said.

The law guaranteeing terrorist prisoners a monthly salary was adopted by the authority in 2004. PA chairman the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
has twice approved considerable salary hikes for terrorist prisoners. In 2006, Abbas approved the regulations that codified the monthly salary payments paid by the PA, and a rise in those salaries. In 2010, he approved an additional salary hike for them, including a 300% rise, from NIS 4,000 to 12,000/month for prisoners having served more than 30 years in prison.

Earlier this year, Israel implemented the "Pay-for-Slay" Law that instructs the state to deduct and freeze the amount of money the PA pays in salaries to imprisoned bandidos holy warriors and families of "deaders" from the tax money it collects for the authority. The law was passed last July and was approved for implementation by Israel’s security cabinet this year. In 2019, the cabinet is withholding approximately $138 million.

US, Israel crossed ‘red line’ with new strikes in eastern Syria: Hezbollah
[ALMASDARNEWS] Hezbollah released a statement this morning regarding the recent strikes on the Syrian city of Albukamal that took place after midnight on September 9th.

The Hezbollah statement began by accusing the U.S. and Israel of carrying out the attack on Albukamal.

Citing a source inside Syria, Hezbollah said the camp that was attacked by the Israeli and U.S. forces had belonged to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies.

Hezbollah said one of the sites that was destroyed had housed soldiers and their family members.

The second point made by the Hezbollah source was that there were no casualties, despite the claims made by the pro-opposition Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR).

"The enemy used Jordanian airspace and the Americans assisted them as usual from their military base in the occupied Syrian area of Al-Tanf," the Hezbollah source said during his third point.

"Fourthly, we hold the Americans and Israelis responsible for the acts of aggression in Albukamal and we consider this crossing a red line," they continued.

"The aggressors in this region will never be secure. The free peoples will hold them accountable and teach them the lesson they will not forget when attacks are repeated," Hezbollah added.

Neither the U.S. nor Israel have commented on the allegations that they carried out the strikes on Albukamal.

N. Carolina election could offer clues on Trump’s 2020 bid
[APNEWS] The two major candidates vying for an open House seat from North Carolina used television and radio ads to drum up last-minute support Tuesday in a special election that could provide clues about President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
’s reelection prospects and Republican chances of retaking the House in 2020.

Republican contender Dan Bishop, a conservative state senator, was hoping a pair of visits Monday to the GOP-leaning district by both Trump and Vice President Mike Pence would boost him to victory over Democrat Dan McCready. At a rally in a Fayetteville arena, Trump told a MAGA-hat-wearing crowd that the vote was a chance for them to send a message to "the America-hating left."

Bishop’s conservative credentials include authorship of the state’s 2016 law that dictated which public bathrooms transgender people could use. The law was repealed after it prompted a national outcry and boycotts that The News Agency that Dare Not be Named estimated cost North Carolina $3.7 billion.

McCready, a former Marine turned financier of solar energy projects, was banking on the district’s suburban moderates to carry him over the top. McCready, a moderate, was already a familiar name in the district: He narrowly trailed in an election for the seat last November that was later invalidated after evidence surfaced of vote tampering.

Syrian Army says forces only withdrew from Morek, denies full withdrawal from northern Hama
[ALMASDARNEWS] A source from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) denied completely withdrawing from the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate this week.

According to the army source, their forces only withdrew from the town of Morek, but no other areas.

He added that the Syrian Army may withdraw from some other areas in the near future, but nothing has been ordered from their high command at this time.

The Ottoman Turkish observation post is located inside the town of Morek; their forces still remain active there, despite being encircled by the Syrian Arab Army.

Prior to their withdrawal from Morek, the Syrian Arab Army’s high command ordered their troops to leave the Ottoman Turkish observation post area.

The Russian military police would later take control of their checkpoints near the Ottoman Turkish observation post.

The Syrian Army’s 25th Special Mission Division (previously Tiger Forces) captured Morek from the bandidos murderous Moslems in northern Hama after a successful campaign along the Hama-Idlib axis in the month of August.

Hezbollah’s demographic problem explains its restraint
From a week ago, but still interesting, I think.
[Jpost] Israel’s alleged three-pronged attacks in the last two weeks in Syria, Iraq and above all, in Dahiye, the vast Beirut Shi’ite neighborhood where the Hezbollah is headquartered above and below ground, was met with a very limited Hezbollah response. An IDF truck was stuck by two missiles with the obvious objective of killing Israeli soldiers in retaliation of the killing of two Hezbollah soldiers in an Israeli attack on Syria. The limited response against military personnel only sent a strong signal, acknowledged by the Israeli side that Hezbollah wanted to avoid escalation that could lead to all-out war.

Presumably, the attack violated Hezbollah’s redlines in order to destroy equipment that would have facilitated the local manufacture of precision-guided missiles that could render Israel’s key strategic infrastructure ‐ power plants, airbases, sea and air-ports ‐ so vulnerable.

Israel, then, felt compelled to do the same as it had been doing for nearly two years in Syria, in Leb as well.

Married man’s death during sex on business trip ruled a ‘workplace accident’
[NYPOST] A married man who died of a heart attack after having sex on a business trip in La Belle France was ruled to have been the victim of a workplace accident ‐ making his company financially responsible, according to reports.

Engineer Xavier X was found dead in his hotel room in Meung-sur-Loire shortly after having sex with a local woman he’d just met, according to the Times of London.

Lawyers for his bosses at the Gay Pareeian railroad construction company TSO insisted he was not performing duties when he had the heart attack ‐ blaming the "adulterous sex act that he had had with a complete stranger," according to the report.

But appeals court judges ruled that an employee on assignment "is entitled to their employer’s protection for the duration of their mission ... whether or not the accident takes place as part of a professional activity or as an act of normal life," the report said.

They held up a 2016 lower court ruling in the case that stated, "A sexual encounter is an act of normal life like taking a shower or eating a meal," according to the Times.

That means the February 2013 death of Xavier X, whose surname was not released, is officially an "accident du travail," which entitles the victim’s family to benefits from both the state and employer.

Any partners and children will receive a monthly benefit of up to 80 percent of his salary until what would have been his retirement age and then a share of his pension.

‘Evil’ babysitter gets 270 years for sexually abusing three sisters
[NYPOST] An "evil" Oregon babysitter who sexually abused and tortured three sisters under his care has been sentenced to 270 years in prison after more than a decade of delays, federal prosecutors said.

Andrew Franklin Kowalczyk, 44, was sentenced Monday after the former Portland man was convicted on nine counts of producing child pornography in December by a jury that deliberated for just 20 minutes following his four-day trial, the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon announced Monday.

Kowalczyk, who was originally indicted in February 2008, changed attorneys more than 12 times throughout the case and filed extensive motions to suppress evidence.

He also allegedly tried to have a fellow inmate kill Assistant US Attorney Scott Kerin.

"What this defendant did to these children is simply unexplainable," Kerin said in court on Monday, according to The Oregonian. "In terms of the sexual exploitation and abuse of children, this defendant is the worst this courthouse has ever seen."

Kowalczyk plied the girls ‐ an 8-year-old and a set of 2-year-old twins ‐ with toys, food, gifts and motel rooms in Portland, where the girls stayed with him in 2005 as their mother searched for an apartment or sold crack cocaine, the newspaper reports.

Kowalczyk, who had been a family friend, was arrested in 2007 on unrelated charges in Washington state. A subsequent search of his bags revealed roughly 650 images and videos of child porn, according to the newspaper.

Investigators published some of the non-pornographic images that appeared to be homemade in an attempt to track down the victims. The girls’ mother later told Sherlocks that she knew Kowalczyk as a friend of her brother whom she met in 2003 and that he had regular access to her children, federal prosecutors said.

The eldest of the three sisters said in court Monday that she’s still having nightmares and suffers from extreme guilt for not shielding her younger siblings from Kowalczyk’s sadistic abuse, according to The Oregonian.

"Andrew is evil itself," the woman, now 23, told a judge. "He deserves to rot in prison for the devilish things he’s done to me and my baby sisters."

The younger girls, meanwhile, do not remember the "horrific things" Kowalczyk did to them, but remain in state custody and struggle with anger toward their mother for leaving them in his care, their attorney said.

Kowalczyk, a 480-pound, wheelchair-bound man, flipped his middle finger at a judge as he was led out of court by four deputies, The Oregonian reports.

"You’re a corrupt piece of [expletive],’" Kowalczyk told the judge.

Female Iranian soccer fan, facing jail for entering stadium, sets herself on fire
[NYPOST] An Iranian woman who tried to enter a soccer stadium — an act that is forbidden for females in the Islamic Republic — burned herself to death after she learned that she could be thrown in jail for six months, according to a new report.

Sahar Khodayari, 30, set herself on fire last week after she got word of the possible sentence, stemming from a March incident in which she pretended to be a man to enter a stadium where her favorite team, the Esteghlal Tehran Football Club, was playing.

She died of her injuries at a Tehran hospital Monday, the semi-official news agency Shafaghna reported.

Khodayari, known as the “Blue Girl” on social media for the colors of the Esteghlal team, was wearing a blue hairpiece and a long overcoat when authorities stopped her at the stadium.

She spent three nights behind bars before being released, pending the court case.

No verdict had been delivered in her case by the time of her death.

The team mourned Khodayari’s death in a Monday tweet.

“She supported us despite the politics made it illegal for her, but what we do can do to support her?” the tweet said. “ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We are cowards.”

Iran’s minister of information and communications technology, Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, called the death a “bitter incident.”

In a tweet, female lawmaker Parvaneh Salahshouri called Khodayari “Iran’s Girl.”

“We are all responsible,” she wrote.

Cops name two suspects in $4M Diamond District heist
[NYPOST] Cops released the names Tuesday of two of the three bandits who they say stuck up a Diamond District jewelry store in a brazen, broad-daylight heist.

Jaysean Sutton, 39, and Pedro Davila, 27, were being hunted by police in connection with the $4 million robbery of Avianne & Co. Jewelers at 28 W. 47th St. on Aug. 26, according to the NYPD.

The Post previously reported that cops had zeroed in on two of the potential thieves through the department’s facial recognition unit.

Shocking surveillance video from inside the jewelry store — which caters to high-end clientele, such as rappers Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj — captured the moment a dapper robber pulled his gun on store employees.

The gang tied up the workers and shoved diamond chains and other pieces of jewelry into a duffel bag.

The NYPD referred questions of any prior arrests to the city’s district attorneys.

Haftar transfers 678 police officers to military units
[Libya Observer] Libyan News Agency - based in al-Bayda in eastern Libya - said Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
issued Tuesday a decision to transfer 678 coppers and personnel from the Interim Government's Interior Ministry to his military forces.

The news agency issued a list of names for the transferred personnel. This comes a day after the statement of Haftar's front man Ahmed al-Mismari, who said their forces will continue with the war in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
and won't accept negotiations or political solutions.

His statement was a response to UN envoy Ghassan Salame's Liberation interview in which he said that Haftar put conditions for possible withdrawal from Tripoli and had required significant state positions.

Observers believe that this decision by Haftar and the recent military reinforcement in eastern Libya that included even traffic coppers in Ajdabiya is an attempt to make up for the human loss since the start of Tripoli offensive in last April.

Russian Air Force launches first strikes since ceasefire announcement
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian Air Force has launched their first Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s over northwestern Syria this morning after halting all strikes following the declaration of a ceasefire in the Idlib Governorate.

According to a military source in Latakia, the Russian Air Force launched several strikes over the jihadist positions in the Jabal al-Akrad region of northeastern Latakia.

In particular, the Russian Air Force primarily concentrated their strikes on the Turkestan Islamic Party’s positions near the strategic town of Kabani.

The Russian Air Force resumed their airstrikes over northeastern Latakia after the jihadist rebels refused to withdraw from the front-lines in this mountainous region.

In addition to refusing to withdraw, the jihadist rebels also continued their shelling and dronezaps on the Syrian military’s positions.

The Russian Air Force’s latest strikes over northeast Latakia mark the first time in two weeks that they have carried out airstrikes in this region.

Syrian, Russian forces resume assault on strategic mountaintop town in northeast Latakia
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their Russian allies resumed their attack this morning at the strategic mountaintop town of Kabani in northeastern Latakia after a taking a brief break over the weekend.

Led by the 42nd Brigade of the 4th Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army unleashed a heavy barrage of missiles and artillery shells toward the enemy positions in southern Kabani, scoring a number of direct hits on the jihadist defenses.

According to a military source in Latakia, the Syrian Army and their allies heavily concentrated their strikes on southern Kabani, but they did not storm the jihadist defenses.

Kabani, a strategic town in northeastern Latakia, is currently under the control of the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
and the Turkestan Islamic Party.

These two jihadist factions have repeatedly repelled the Syrian Army’s attempts to capture Kabani, despite being outnumbered at this front.

One of the reasons for the successful defense of Kabani by the jihadist forces is their plethora of tunnels and bases that are located around the town.

The Syrian Army has been unable to destroy the bad boy tunnels, which has left them susceptible to ambushes by the jihadist special forces in northeast Latakia.

For the Syrian Army’s central command, seizing Kabani is a high priority because of the geographic advantage that it would give the bad boy in this region of northeast Latakia.

Jordan summons Israeli envoy over arrest of two nationals
[IsraelTimes] The Jordanian Foreign Ministry summons Israeli Ambassador to Amman Amir Weissbrod over arrests Israel made of two Jordanian citizens, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Sufyan Qudah says.

In the meeting, the ministry calls for the immediate release of the Jordanians citizens and demands that it be informed of all the details of the arrests and accusations against them, Qudah adds.

Israel detained Abdelrahman Maree and Heba Abdelbaqi after they crossed the Allenby border crossing, Quda says, without stating when they were nabbed.

A Jordanian diplomat in Israel visited Maree and Abdelbaqi on Tuesday "to provide support" to them, according to the front man.

Colombia Mourns Conservative Mayoral Candidate as FARC War Heats Up
[BREITBART] Orley García, conservative candidate for the mayorship of Toledo, Antioquia, Colombia, became the latest victim of suspected Marxist FARC terrorism, dying after being shot 13 times, El Tiempo reported Sunday.

García joins Karina García Sierra, mayoral candidate killed while campaigning in Cauca, and Betsaida Montejo Pérez, who survived a grenade attack on her home in San Calixto, where she is running for mayor. The three are the latest victims of an active liquidation campaign by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia
FARC or FARC-EP, is either a Marxist-Leninist revolutionary guerrilla organization or a drug cartel based in Colombia. It claims to represent the rural poor in a struggle against Colombia's wealthier classes, and opposes United States influence in Colombia, neo-imperialism, monopolization of natural resources by multinational corporations, and the usual raft of complaints. It funds itself principally through ransom kidnappings, taxation of the drug trade, extortion, shakedowns, and donations. It has lately begun calling itself Bolivarian and is greatly admired by Venezuela's President-for-Life Chavez, who seemingly fantasizes about living in the woods and kidnapping people himself. He provides FARC with safe areas along the border.
(FARC) and the National Liberation Army (ELN), communist narco-terrorist organizations active in the country.

Under former President Juan Manuel Santos, Bogotá legalized the FARC as a political party and granted it ten seats in the Colombian Senate uncontested. Two of the men who received those seats, Lions of Islam "Jesús Santrich" and "Iván Márquez," appeared in a video two weeks ago announcing that, despite the peace deal agreement, the FARC would once again take up arms and kill people who stood in the way of its vast cocaine empire.

The disintegration of the FARC deal followed the arrest this year of Santrich, who is still technically a senator, for allegedly trying to smuggle 10,000 kilograms of cocaine into the United States after signing the 2016 peace deal.

The nominal head of the FARC, the terrorist "Timochenko," has publicly opposed the new war and claimed that 90 percent of FARC Lions of Islam have given up violence. Many mainstream media sites refer to the FARC leadership that called for a new war on the Colombian government as "dissidents" because "Timochenko" has not joined them.

Santos won the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize for legitimizing the FARC.

El Tiempo, one of Colombia’s largest newspapers, reported on Sunday that García was shot "over ten times" and taken as quickly as possible to a nearby hospital, but "due to his critical state, it became necessary to transport him to the regional capital," Medellín. He died on the flight over.

North Korea fires 2 projectiles after offering talks with US
[IsraelTimes] North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
launches two projectiles toward the sea, South Korea’s military says, hours after the North offered to resume nuclear diplomacy with the United States but warned its dealings with Washington may end without new US proposals.

The launches and demand for new proposals are apparently aimed at pressuring the United States to make concessions when the North Korea-US talks restart. North Korea is widely believed to want the United States to provide security guarantees and extensive relief from US-led sanctions in return for limited denuclearization steps.

The North Korean projectiles fired from its South Phyongan province, which surrounds its capital city of Pyongyang, fly about 330 kilometers (205 miles) across the country and in the direction of the waters off its east coast, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff and Defense Ministry.
Congrats, guys — you killed the ocean.
The military says South Korea will monitor possible additional launches. The JCS doesn’t immediately say whether the weapons are ballistic missiles or rocket artillery. "More detailed analysis is needed to determine the exact specifications," JCS front man Kim Joon-rak says.

Tuesday’s launches are the eighth round of launches since late July and the first since August 24. The previous seven launches have revealed short-range missile and rocket artillery systems that experts say would potentially expand Pyongyang’s capabilities to strike targets throughout South Korea, including US military bases.

Elephant injures 18 during Buddhist pageant in Lanka
[DAWN] An elephant taking part in a Buddhist pageant in Sri Lanka has run berserk, injuring at least 18 people.

Video on Derana Television of Saturday night’s pageant in Kotte, near Colombo, showed an elephant in a procession suddenly running forward. Terrified people scattered, with some running into an elephant at the front of the procession. That elephant became violent and ran, pushing onlookers. A man riding on the elephant fell off and narrowly escaped being trampled.

Officials from two hospitals said on Monday that 18 injured people received treatment and 16 had been discharged. Of the remaining two, one is being observed for possible abdominal damage and the other is being treated for an injured ear, they said.

Ornately decorated elephants are a major attraction in Sri Lankan Buddhist pageants. Wealthy families own captive elephants as a symbol of their prosperity.

Former top FEMA official busted for taking bribes after Hurricane Maria
[NYPOST] A former top official in the Federal Emergency Management Agency was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly taking bribes from the head of a company who received $1.8 billion in federal contracts to repair Puerto Rico’s power grid after Hurricane Maria devastated the island in 2017.

Ahsha Tribble, a deputy regional administrator, another former FEMA official, Jovanda Patterson, and Donald Keith Ellison, the former president of COBRA Acquisitions, were charged in a 15-count indictment.

Patterson, Tribble’s deputy chief of staff, steered contracts to COBRA and left FEMA in July 2018 for a job at the energy company, the court documents say.

“These defendants were supposed to come to Puerto Rico to help during the recovery after the devastation suffered from Hurricane Maria. Instead, they decided to take advantage of the precarious conditions of our electric power grid and engaged in a bribery and honest services wire fraud scheme in order to enrich themselves illegally,” Rosa Emilia Rodríguez-Vélez, the US attorney in Puerto Rico, said in a statement.

The charges implied that Tribble, who oversaw the restoration of the island’s electrical system for FEMA, and Ellison were romantically involved and documented how they traveled together and often stayed in the same room between October 2017 and April 2019.

Ellison, who had a two contracts for recovery work from the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, enticed Tribble with gifts, including a helicopter tour of the Caribbean island, helping her get an apartment in New York, hotel rooms in Fort Lauderdale and Charlotte, N.C., first-class air tickets from San Juan to New York, and use of his credit card, the indictment released Sept. 3 says.

In return, she used her influence to “secure favorable treatment” of COBRA by pressuring PREPA executives to speed-up payments to the company and assign work to Oklahoma-based COBRA that could have been done by PREPA workers.

In February 2018, after an explosion at a transmission center that knocked out power for several towns, Tribble pushed PREPA to hire COBRA to make the repairs even though the costs would be much higher than if the agency used its own employees.

PREPA eventually paid COBRA more than $600,000 for the work.

Tribble sent Ellison a chain of emails between her and a PREPA consultant about payments PREPA owed COBRA with “$200M behind in payment to Cobra – stop work looming again” in the subject line.

Tribble also relayed sensitive information she received as part of her FEMA position to Ellison that he wouldn’t otherwise have been able to get.

For example, she forwarded an email to Ellison she received back from “Individual C.”

Tribble in the original email to the person wrote “this is a draft but you can see where we are going” and included a Microsoft Word document titled “PR Electrical Grid – Standardization Modernization and Hardening of Infr…”

She communicated with Ellison using her private email account, her own cellphone, a disposable cellphone, sending messages through SMS texts, photographs and Applei Messages instead of through her FEMA accounts.

In another email sent in February 2018, Tribble asked Ellison about her request for him to find her a place to live in New York.

“Yes, ma’am, I got it and have somebody on it already,” he wrote back, according to the documents.

FEMA said in a statement that it is “fully cooperating with federal investigators” and take allegations of employee misconduct “extremely seriously.”

#1  ...And not a word in the MSM.

They believe, I think, that if no one sees it, it doesn't happen; it goes away. I think, though - especially after the special election in NC yesterday, that the American people are a lot like the last line in Rudyard Kipling's poem about how his nation treated the men who kept them safe:

An' Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool -- you bet that Tommy sees!

Poll: 48% of Jewish Israelis support applying sovereignty over Area C
Follow up to PM Bibi Netanyahu’s announcement yesterday.
[IsraelTimes] The Israel Democracy Institute, a Jerusalem think tank, says it recently polled Israelis on the question of annexing parts of the West Bank. Here are its findings:

"According to the Israel Democracy Institute’s Israeli Voice Index, 48% of Jewish Israelis and 11% of Arab Israelis would favor [applying Israeli illusory sovereignty over Area C of the West Bank] if it were supported by US President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
and his administration.

"This compares to 28% of Jewish Israelis and 56% of Arab Israelis who oppose this idea. Almost a quarter [of] Jewish Israelis and one third of Arab Israelis remain undecided on this matter.

"In the case of possible annexation of Area C, Jewish Israelis are divided on whether or not a Paleostinian state should be established in the remaining parts of the West Bank. 40% would oppose this, while 37% would support it. Among Arab Israelis ‐ 51% of Arab Israelis support this idea ‐ while 20% oppose it."

Trump administration sees ‘no change in policy’ after Netanyahu annexation bid

[IsraelTimes] A Trump administration official says “there is no change in United States policy at this time. We will release our Vision for Peace after the Israeli election and work to determine the best path forward to bring long sought security, opportunity and stability to the region.”

#1  Neat new term. Using newspeak for our purposes does feel good indeed. There's just so much I'd like to apply sovereignty to.

"Watch it, mister ! Or I'll apply sovereignty t'yer face."

"All your bases have been applied sovereignty to by us."

"The erstwhile zerg-islamic paradise was applied sovereignty to and is now a space marine colony."

Former top FEMA official busted for taking bribes after Hurricane Maria
Obama Administration: Not a smidge of corruption
[NYPost] A former top official in the Federal Emergency Management Agency was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly taking bribes from the head of a company who received $1.8 billion in federal contracts to repair Puerto Rico's power grid after Hurricane Maria devastated the island in 2017.

Ahsha Tribble, a deputy regional administrator, another former FEMA official, Jovanda Patterson, and Donald Keith Ellison, the former president of COBRA Acquisitions, were charged in a 15-count indictment.

Patterson, Tribble's deputy chief of staff, steered contracts to COBRA and left FEMA in July 2018 for a job at the energy company, the court documents say.

"These defendants were supposed to come to Puerto Rico to help during the recovery after the devastation suffered from Hurricane Maria. Instead, they decided to take advantage of the precarious conditions of our electric power grid and engaged in a bribery and honest services wire fraud scheme in order to enrich themselves illegally," Rosa Emilia Rodríguez-Vélez, the US attorney in Puerto Rico, said in a statement.

The charges implied that Tribble, who oversaw the restoration of the island's electrical system for FEMA, and Ellison were romantically involved and documented how they traveled together and often stayed in the same room between October 2017 and April 2019.

3 says.

PREPA eventually paid COBRA more than $600,000 for the work.

#4  Ellison seems not to be quite the colourful Central Casting corruptocrat I was expecting. From NYT article: Mr. Ellison’s lawyer, William Leone, described his client as a former Army Ranger and a “decorated war hero” who had done tours in Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Pic, too: "booties on the ground" (not like that, dammit!).

Foreign mercenaries fighting alongside Haftar's forces killed in airstrikes in southern Tripoli
[Libya Observer] The Air Force of the Libyan Army under the Presidential Council government's command has carried out three Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. Guess you can't win them all...

...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
- some sources said they were Russians - who got to Libya recently to help operate Haftar's modern weapons were targeted by an airstrike in Qasir Benghashir. Many of the mercenaries were killed.

The field operations room in Tripoli said the Libyan Air Force of the Presidential Council's government had been on the look for the movement of Haftar's forces the lines of their supplies to eventually strike them with precision.

Anti-Haftar media outlets said days ago that mercenaries from Russia and Ukraine arrived in Jufra airbase where Haftar's forces are in control, adding that they are part of a security firm contracted by the UAE to support Haftar's forces in their attacks on Tripoli.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Nunzio wondered: Where the hell was Chumbaloni? And where was his $600?...
the commander of Ain Zara frontline Yusef al-Ameen said calm has prevailed on Monday in the district after the recent advances of the Libyan Army against Haftar's forces.

This comes after Haftar's forces have launched an attack on the district with an air cover attempting to retake positions lost in Saturday festivities, but Special Deterrence Force fighters foiled the attack.

Uneasy calm has also descended on other southern Tripoli frontlines as both sides continue to bring military reinforcements, which is ominous of an imminent offensive by either side.

inspector general of police on Thursday (Sept 12).

The agenda for the meeting issued by the Senate Secretariat shows that the committee headed by Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has also summoned the district police officer (DPO) of Rahim Yar Khan for a briefing on the death of Salahuddin Ayubi, a suspected ATM robber, who died in police custody on Sept 1 within days of his arrest.

Talking to Dawn, Mr Khokhar said that when the meeting of the committee had been convened there was only one incident of custodial death, but now two more incidents from Lahore had been reported. He said the agenda for the meeting would be modified and the senior police officials would also be asked to brief the committee on the alleged custodial deaths of two accused ‐ Aamir Masih and Amjad Ali ‐ in Lahore.

Mr Khokhar expressed concern over the rise in the incidents of custodial deaths and said the committee would play its due role in stopping such happenings.

Dutch Christians donate Europe’s largest menorah to rocket-battered Sderot
[Jpost] Dutch Christian Zionists donated Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
’s largest Hanukkah menorah to the Israeli city of Sderot in solidarity with its residents’ plight over rocket attacks from Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
The 36-foot menorah was erected Sunday in Sderot, said Arjen Lont, the Christian Zionist philanthropist from the Netherlands who in 2013 donated about $40,000 to build the object.

Boasting a 6-ton base and a frame shaped like a Star of David, the Dutch menorah has featured in Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremonies organized across the kingdom over the past six years by the Christians for Israel group.

"After unspeakable suffering, the horrors of the Holocaust and most recently the attacks on Israel, Jews may feel they are alone," Lont told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency shortly after the menorah was built. "This is our way of saying you are not alone, we are behind you."

On Sunday, Lont wrote on Twitter: "Today, we set up the Hanukkah menorah in Sderot in Israel’s south. It is here to stay for good."

In Sderot, the menorah was placed at the center of a traffic circle in a residential neighborhood. Its original oil lamps have been replaced with electric bulbs and it is anchored by four 2-ton concrete cubes.

The official inauguration of the menorah will be on Dec. 17, five days before the first night of Hanukkah, in the presence of Dutch Chief Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs, Christians for Israel director Roger van Oordt wrote in a statement. Amid "constant threat from rockets, we want to bring the light of the Menorah," he added.

Mitt Romney ‘Very Unhappy’ with John Bolton’s Firing, Suggests ‘John Bolton’ as Replacement
[BREITBART] Sen. Willard Mitt Romney
...former governor of Massachussetts, the Publican nominee for president in 2012, now Senator from Utah. He is the son of the former governor of Michigan, George Romney, who himself ran for president after saving American Motors from failure, though not permanently. Romney has a record as a successful businessman, heading Bain Capital, and he rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from the midst of bribery and mismanagement scandals. He is currently a member of the Never Trump Party and is attempting to assume the mantle of the late John McCain...
(R-UT) expressed disappointment over the news of National Security Advisor John Bolton’s firing, calling the outgoing senior White House official "brilliant" and suggested his reinstatement.

"I’m very, very unhappy to hear that he is leaving. It’s a huge loss for the administration and for the nation," Romney told news hounds on Tuesday. "John Bolton is a brilliant man with decades of experience in foreign policy. His point of view was not always the same everybody else in the room. That’s why you wanted him there.

"The fact that he was a contrarian from time to time was an asset, not a liability," the Utah Republican added.

Asked who he believes should replace Bolton, Romney replied: "John Bolton."

UN envoy reveals Haftar is willing to pull out forces from Tripoli for "specific guarantees"
[Libya Observer] The UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame said an agreement between the Government of National Accord and Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
is conceivable but necessitates an international backing.

Salame told French newspaper Liberation that in recent weeks, the situation has become more realistic, revealing that Khalifa Haftar has put certain conditions for his forces' possible withdrawal from Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
, but he needs guarantees on the forces who control the capital and has requirements for significant appointments in state positions.

"However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
there are some parties on the others side who are willing to negotiate with Haftar on condition that he pulls out his forces, while others in Tripoli and other cities reject negotiations with him." Salame added on Monday.

Salame indicated that any political process in Libya is going to be based on ending the dispute of legitimacy once and for all via elections, adding that an elections law is necessary and so is a constitution and an understanding on oil revenue distribution.

He added that Libya now needs the international community to act properly amid the ongoing massive foreign interventions, saying the stance of world powers must be unified.

This comes after over five months of fighting that started in last April when Haftar's forces launched an attack on Tripoli in a quest for taking power from the Un-brokered government through military operations.
