Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu held a press conference Tuesday evening to make a "dramatic statement about the Trump Administration's "Deal of the Century."
"We are on the eve of the elections. President Trump said he will present his Deal of the Century few days after the election and it is just around the corner. This presents us with a great challenge and a great opportunity to apply Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria and other areas," Netanyahu said.
The prime minister announced that after the elections he would apply Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea area.
"There is one place that Israeli sovereignty can be applied immediately after the elections if Israeli citizens let me in. Today I announce my intention to apply Israeli sovereignty to the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea," he declared.

[NBC] Trump fires John Bolton as national security adviser
"I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House," Trump tweeted Tuesday.
President Donald Trump has fired National Security Adviser John Bolton after a string of disagreements between the two over how the U.S. should handle North Korea and Iran.
Trump announced on Twitter that he had asked for Bolton's resignation, which he received this morning, after the president had "disagreed with many of his suggestions."
“I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning,” Trump said on Twitter.
....I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 10, 2019
Ambassador Bolton sends me a text message just now: “Let’s be clear, I resigned, having offered to do so last night.”
But yes, Bolton's exit will definitely impact Trump admin's Iran policy. Trump-Rouhani summit is being considered very seriously - and I'm in fact told that it is already finalized. Bolton would have had no role in that, so from that perspective his exit makes sense.
Indian govt should be happy with Bolton's exit. Bolton was not very pro-India and he opposed India's bid for UNSC membership as well as India-US nuclear deal. Bolton was also somewhat pro-Pakistan and opposed hard stance against Pakistan. https://t.co/su2mIqlJyY
Question : now that @AmbJohnBolton is gone does that mean the President can foresee a meeting btw him and The Iranian leader later this month (at UN) @SecPompeo says "Sure. The President has made it clear he's prepared to meet with no preconditions"
• Bolton doesn’t show up • Pompeo defends Trump firing • Mnuchin announces sanctions on 15 leaders, entities include QF & Hezbollah, PIJ, others • Trump prepared to meet Rouhani with no preconditions
Let me be clear: I think many of Bolton's views are borderline dangerous. But he was the ONLY remaining member of the president's inner circle who knew anything about strategic affairs. If you think things have been chaotic to this point, just wait… https://t.co/nX6D8zvLrz
#3
I heard he was the one who advised against meeting the talibaners. For some reason, the idea of 'image' is more important to Bolton than actual strategy.
Gen. John Keene and Frank Gaffney are good replacements ?
#4
Yes, Bolton was against the Taliban, murders of many US Troops signing a "peace" agreement at Camp David when the Madrassas did not teach them to read, or write, or the proper definition of such words as Peace.
#5
That is something that needs to be avenged, and the best vengeance can be effected only when the troops are out of there. Bolton wanted the troops to stay.
This 'managing of expectations' is what Trump is tired of, I think. Obviously he wants to exit the hellhole completely.

At the start of Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s novel In the First Circle, a Soviet diplomat on home leave in Moscow tries to make an anonymous call to the U.S. embassy. His purpose: warning the Americans of a Soviet theft of atomic secrets. But he gets a dull-witted, indifferent embassy staffer on the line, and the call goes nowhere. Or almost nowhere. The call is monitored by Soviet security. Arrested and imprisoned at the end of the novel, the diplomat’s final thought about Americans is that "prosperity breeds idiots."
Solzhenitsyn’s diplomat channels views that were clearly held by the author himself. Comfort and safety, enjoyed too long in the West, invite complacency‐and complacency leads to stupidity. As a gulag survivor, Solzhenitsyn had a barely disguised disgust for Western elites with little experience of political murder and repression. Nor could he abide the legion of fools who seemed fascinated, from a secure and prosperous distance, with socialist thought. In his foreword to The Socialist Phenomenon‐an extraordinary book by his friend Igor Shafarevich‐Solzhenitsyn noted "the mist of irrationality that surrounds socialism," and stressed that
The doctrines of socialism seethe with contradictions, its theories are at constant odds with its practice, yet due to a powerful instinct, [these contradictions] do not in the least hinder the unending propaganda of socialism. Indeed no precise, distinct socialism even exists; instead there is only a vague, rosy notion of something noble and good, of equality, of communal ownership, and justice . . .
...A Lenin Prize-winning mathematician and a Soviet math genius of global standing, Shafarevich (like his friend Solzhenitsyn) eventually turned to Russian Orthodox Christianity. He became a leading Soviet dissident, and was a vocal supporter of Andrei Sakharov. He divides his thinking in The Socialist Phenomenon into three parts.

[PJMEDIA] In his first major motion picture since annoying and disappointing generations of Star Wars fans with The Last Jedi, writer-director-progressive Rian Johnson is poised to do the same to an even larger slice of the American public with next month's Knives Out. And lefty movie critics couldn't be more thrilled, according to the latest from Society Reviews.
SR reports that "critics at the Toronto International Film Festival gushing about the film’s shared hatred for Trump and his voters," which is about as subtle as a knife to the throat. I sure hope this'll turn out to be a case of "bringing a knife to a gun fight".

without seeing the film its difficult to say what it is going to mean
remember the remake of Manchurian Candidate
it was supposed to be an allegory of bad Dick Cheney and his former employer
but in the actuality, Meryl Streep used Hillary mannerisms and stole the show and the intended anti Cheney anti corporate stuff didn't register with most people

Considering on RottenTomatos it already has a 100% fresh rating from the blue check brigade, I would bet the movie is complete crap.
From the preview, the personas effected by the characters all display either characteristic liberal and bohemian delinquency or 'entitlement syndrome'. Even they include MAGA caps and dialogue about voting Trump, the audience will automatically make the mental connection to who actually exhibits these characteristics.
The liberal just can not hide his/her hatred and snobbery behind art. They stand distinct from normal people.
Keep in mind that, according to most of our media (and even more so the European media), we are supposed to regard with fear the German "ultra-right-wing" political party, the Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD). Also, keep in mind that we are supposed to believe that the Brexit battle pits Brits against a united Europe that is horrified at their effort to shatter the European Union.
But, in fact, the arrogant, unaccountable transnational organizations, of which the EU is a leading example, have served global elites better than ordinary citizens of their constuent countries.
Watch this speech in Germany’s parliament, the Bundestag, by AfD’s co-leader Alice Weidel and start to realize that populism is a global force in the highly industrialized world, and that the complaints we Anericans feel against our elites, and the complaints Brits have against ceeding controt ot he EU, are all of a piece. She does not hesitate to point her fingers at France, which is leading the resistance to a negotiated Brexit. I just can't believe that in any business run jointly by Germans & French, the French are calling the shots.
#1
I suspect the French can take the lead on anything the Germans don't really care about. Since Germany is the economic engine of the Eu anything they care about is going to be done their way.
#2
No. THIS is the best speech on Brexit (and the remainiacs in Parliament):
Cromwell to Parliament:
It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice.
Ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government.
Ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.
Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess?
Ye have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God. Which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?
Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defiled this sacred place, and turned the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?
Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed, are yourselves become the greatest grievance.
Your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House; and which by God’s help, and the strength he has given me, I am now come to do.
I command ye therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place.
Go, get you out! Make haste! Ye venal slaves be gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.
Cromwell is one of the most controversial figures in the history of the British Isles, considered a regicidal dictator by historians such as David Sharp,[5] a military dictator by Winston Churchill,[6] and a hero of liberty by John Milton, Thomas Carlyle, and Samuel Rawson Gardiner. His tolerance of Protestant sects did not extend to Catholics; his measures against them in Ireland have been characterised by some as genocidal or near-genocidal,[7] and his record is harshly criticised in Ireland.[8] He was selected as one of the ten greatest Britons of all time in a 2002 BBC poll.[9]

Preparing the diplomatic ground for possible action against Hezbollah's precision missile program in Lebanon, Israel's mission at the UN informed the Security Council on Monday that Hezbollah is operating a facility for the production of these missiles in the Bekaa Valley.
According to a statement issued by Israel's mission at the UN, "The IDF has provided valuable information on Hezbollah's precision missile program in Lebanon, which has helped Israel advance its case in recent letters to the Security Council."
In a letter to the Security Council on Monday, Israel noted that Hezbollah "operates a site intended for the production and conversion of precision missiles near the town of Nabi Chit in the Bekaa Valley, with Iranian sponsorship, including financial and logistical support."

The website, impeachmentaugust.org, said the protest would take place at 11:00 a.m. at 1st Street SE, which is near the House side of the Capitol. The website states that the protest is supported by several leftist and anti-Trump groups, including Indivisible, MoveOn, Need to Impeach, Stand Up America, March of Truth, By the People, Common Cause, Free Speech for People, Democracy for America, Progressive Democrats of America, Credo, and democrats.com.

[ToloNews] Takhar governor’s front man says that at least 30 Taliban ...Arabic for students... fighters were killed in the festivities.
Local officials said heavy festivities are ongoing in two districts of the northern province of Takhar since Sunday evening.
Khwaja Ghar and Yangi Qala districts are located in the northwest of the province which share border with volatile district of Chah-e-Ab.
At least 30 Taliban fighters were killed in the festivities, Takhar governor’s front man Mohammad Jawad Hejri said.
"Mawlawi Osmani, a Taliban key commander is also among those killed in the festivities," Mr. Hejri said.
The Taliban claimed that they have captured the center of Khwaja Ghar district but Mr. Hejri rejected this claim.
The Afghan cops have not suffered of casualties in the festivities, according to the provincial governor’s front man.
Sources said that Taliban has also increased their attacks on Dasht-e-Archi district of the northeastern province of Kunduz which shares border with Khwaja Ghar district in Takhar.
This comes as heavy festivities are ongoing in parts of Kunduz and the center of Baghlan province in the north and northeastern regions of Afghanistan over the past week.
[ToloNews] Maidan Wardak residents called on the government to launch an investigation into the incident.
At least seven civilians bit the dust in an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... in Burhani Khel village of Sayed Abad district of Maidan Wardak province, a number of residents claimed on Monday as Afghan government faces strong criticisms over a dramatic surge in civilian death and amid rising violence in multiple fronts across the country.
The residents said that seven people were returning from a funeral ceremony when their car was targeted by an airstrike in Burkhan Khel village in Sayed Abad district.
Some angry residents to the incident staged a protest to press the Afghan government to launch an investigation into the incident.
"They came here for a funeral ceremony. They ate food and wanted to return. Father, son, two sons-in-law, one guest and two children were among the seven people [killed in the airstrike]," said Hamed, a resident of Sayed Abad district.
"He was a driver. His son was a student, another was a laborer, another man was working in a company, one of them was his cousin and was a resident of Kabul. They all were here for a funeral ceremony," said Basir, another resident of Sayed Abad.
"Either the government take Wardak out of the Afghanistan map or announce its enmity with us or consider us as their people," said Khalil Rahman, a resident.
Previously, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense reported the killing of at least nine Taliban ...Arabic for students... members in an airstrike in Maidan Wardak.
Also last week, a number of residents of Sayed Abad district who had taken some injured children to a hospital in Kabul said that two non-combatants were killed and eight others, most of them children, were maimed in an airstrike in Qala-e-Amir village which is located in Tangi area of the province.
Back in March, President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... ordered the National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) to abide by strict rules for preventing civilian casualties in their operations against turbans. Despite that, several incidents that targeted the civilians were reported in various regions of the country.
[KhaamaPress] The U.S. President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... said the U.S. forces in Afghanistan have been hitting the enemy in Afghanistan harder over the past four days than at any time in the last ten years.
President Trump said in a Twitter post "We have been serving as coppers in Afghanistan, and that was not meant to be the job of our Great Soldiers, the finest on earth."
However, a clean conscience makes a soft pillow... he said "Over the last four days, we have been hitting our Enemy harder than at any time in the last ten years!"
President Trump on Sunday announced that he is called off peace negotiations with the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... group.
He said in a Twitter post on Sunday "Unbeknownst to almost everyone, the major Taliban leaders and, separately, the President of Afghanistan, were going to secretly meet with me at Camp David on Sunday."
Furthermore, Trump said "They were coming to the United States tonight. Unfortunately, in order to build false leverage, they admitted to an attack in Kabul that killed one of our great soldiers, and 11 other people."
He also added "I immediately cancelled the meeting and called off peace negotiations. What kind of people would kill so many in order to seemingly strengthen their bargaining position? They didn’t, they only made it worse! If they cannot agree to a ceasefire during these very important peace talks, and would even kill 12 innocent people, then they probably don’t have the power to negotiate a meaningful agreement anyway. How many more decades are they willing to fight?"

The deliberative, inward obsessed polity of India is to blame for that. If say, Trump were to pressure India to involve ourselves overtly, a nuke on Quetta would be the inevitable result. Naturally large parts of the Pakhtunkhwa would also have to be carpet bombed later. There would be collateral too. But Islamabad would be finished. Pakistan would divide without leadership, into four warring tribal nations. It's easy if a little courage is shown by India. This is the time for such a move.
He's right in saying that if the country to which Pak is the biggest nuisance doesn't bother fighting, why should American troops be killing themselves in the desert for a thankless job.
any conventional army would have been destroyed by now
as procopius notes, the Taliban keep getting new recruits from Pakistan but the Taliban also keep getting new recruits from inside Afghanistan itself -- the recruiting is done by religious schools and religious institutions using the Koran and Haditha and various other parts of the Takfiri indoctrination system

You cannot defeat a transnational, fanatically idealogical enemy with traditional, nation state strategies. You cannot succeed by killing in numbers that would render traditional units destroyed or incapacitated. You have to kill in such numbers and remorselessly so until even they begin to grasp that route will never work for them or you have simply weeded out the most aggressive.
#6
I agree, Lord Garth. About the recruitment from with the Afghan tribes. The numbers ... iffy. I would just say you're not getting enough bang for the buck.
Interestingly, the term 'takfiri indoctrination' is an entry from the legal islamist dictionary. I just thought to share the following for everyone's benefit.
The word takfiri means 'denouncer'. One who accuses others of being takfir (apostate). Conversely, it has now come to be used to describe hypocrites within the 'religion of peace' that veer to extremist practices.
Rooted in the islamic ideology of Takfir wal Hijra, preached by Sayyid Qutb Ibrahim Husayn Shadhil in Egypt, takfiris instigated mass killings of muslims by muslims in the early 60s. One of the adherents was Shukri Mustafa, a mohammed wannabe who first began to declare fatwas against 'muslims who were technically apostates' because they sided with the kafirs, or lived like them. You can guess how valuable it was to demagogues during the Arab spring.
It became a kind of theo-fascism within the islamic world, rallying the violent and the unruly to prey upon their fellow muslims who had too much money, wore western dresses, learnt english, danced or flossed. Religious warlords and hoodlums everywhere adopted the self-assumed authority to declare people as takfirs (apostates). Also, back then it was easy only to kill muslims, and maybe the occasional jewish tourist.
As a result they came to be known as takfiris.
Mind you, it is probable for a takfiri to be a wahabi. But every wahabi may not be a takfiri. There are wahabis who do not take up weapons, meaning not takfiris, but use Lawfare instead. They claim to be moderates and will call terrorists takfiris.
Among the 'Moderate Muslims', a takfiri is the equivalent of a school shooter. At least that is the claim. And this is where the islamists try to replace every term like 'islamic extremism' with what's palatable to muslims and those who believe there is a 'good islam' and 'bad islam' with words like 'Takfiri Indoctrination'.
It suggests that an otherwise good and kind fellow like Abu, falls in with the crazed crowd and becomes an extremist, because of a splinter faction of islam, the religion of peace.
Introduced into newspeak and intelligence dossiers of western analysts by their 'muslim allies against terrorism', it is a term that muslims still use to describe 'the aberrant doctrines, not really islam, extremist teaching', distancing themselves from it as 'moderates.

At one point we had a poster from the State Department, and yes, the CIA does appear to look in on us from time to time. Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld had been told about us (that was True German Ally’s doing before the dear man died), though there is no way of knowing whether he took an interest. But then the site owner, Fred Pruitt, comes out of military intelligence, so the connections are natural.
Before finding Rantburg, I worried I'll die with a lot of useful information no one wants. ☺
Rantburg is definitely where you belong, dear Dron66046.
A good many of the Pakistani madrassas feed their less illustrious graduates straight into the warring parties in Afghanistan — literally, according to some articles published here over the years, the lads are told to pack up their kit, loaded onto busses or trucks, and driven across the border to wherever the action is, at which point they are handed guns and pointed at the target. The parents are informed of their demise afterward, madrassah boys being scions of families who want their lads educated or at least fed, but lack the wherewithal to pay proper state or public (in the English sense) school fees.
The soft jihad of the law versus the hard jihad of the sword is how I’ve seen it described. We have also seen, particularly in Europe and Britain, Pakistan, ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and occasionally in Israel, the fun jihad of seduction and/or r4pe...

Christians made up about 10% of Syria’s pre-war population of 23 million. Half the population are now either internally displaced or have left the country.
The Syrian government has no immediate comment on the report.

[IsraelTimes] A bill that would force British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies.... to seek a delay to the October 31 Brexit deadline if no deal is reached has become law with approval by Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal approval is announced by Norman Fowler, the speaker of the House of Lords.
The queen’s approval is seen as a formality after the bill was approved by Parliament. It is opposed by the government.
It is designed to prevent Johnson from taking Britannia out of the Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... an Union without an agreement with the other 27 nations in the bloc.
Johnson has said he will not seek a delay to the deadline.

Supposedly this 'Brexit delay law' is worded imprecisely in that Boris Johnson is compelled to 'seek' a delay with the EU but there's plenty of room for Johnson to half-ass it / not be entirely serious about this effort, so we'll have to wait & see what happens next. Talk about a soap opera.

Their are already rumors that Boris and Nigel will form up s "New Majority" In which Nigel would get a cabinet position say Chancellor. And they are reputedly talking to Eastern European who are EU members who have no love for Muslims to throw spanners into the works. Get yo popcorn ready.
Boris can't work out a deal, refuses to ask for a delay and is toppled by a non confidence vote (or resigns).
The opposition appoints an interim PM (a rebel Tory) who will either seel a delay (EU consent required) or on the last day revokes Article 50 (no EU consent required) in order to save Britain from a no deal Brexit. Back to Square One.
I can see Kenneth Clarke or Amber Rudd doing this. Or maybe Jo Swinson (LibDem) who is a declared Remainer.
The last week of October will be Shakespearean.

To be or not to be, that is the question? We do live in interesting times — I look forward to calmer days, when the most important question is whether the world will end in fire or in ice, or just go on as it has been.

If it's a choice is between Russians and Muslims (with European technologist dhimmis) I know that I prefer. But it isn't, Russia barely a shadow of what it was, and USA is still around. It is their own people that EUrope's Mandarins have to fear. As I said, it's Gorbachev's way, or Ceaușescu's.

I'm definitely not "denying" the Brits their exit. It's entirely up to them. I do feel that people weren't aware of the consequences of a no deal Brexit when they voted on the referendum. That's why I think they should be given a choice between deal/no deal.
I don't agree with the "EUSSR" labeling. As a matter of fact Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union makes it possible to leave the European Union, no ifs and buts. Should Hungary, Poland or the Czech Republic want to leave, they can do so.
If they want, they don't have to accept any terms from the EU. This means they are out, without any benefits, and will be treated like any other country not member of the EU. I don't see any punishing in that.
If they want preferential treatment from the EU, they'll have to negotiate. Switzerland or Norway have special deals with the EU.
We can talk all day long about EU bureaucracy. I still prefer Europe with the EU. We benefit from it. The company I own benefits from it. My kids benefit from it.
I hate tariffs and customs. It seems stupid to me that the Channel will become a hard customs border again. But the UK is the one deciding this.

You don't need to decide on terms for leaving.
Just have to leave.
That was the instruction the British people gave to their Parliament. The WTO trade framework is much better than membership of the EUSSR. Due to their terrible tendencies towards establishment marxism It will be hard for the EUSSR politburo to come up with anything better for either party.

The truth, coz, is that Britain cannot remain Britain and submit to the terms of full-blown EU membership.
The elites are happy to cast off British history and merge Britain into a bureaucratic superstate because it's how their bread is buttered.
The "human rights lawyers," trade lawyers, moneyfiddlers, left-wing journalists and bureaucrats have everything to lose and little to gain from preserving Britain's unique identity and historic processes for making and administering the laws of the land.
It is the people who reject the heavy handed and distinctly in-British EU who are making the morally superior, non-aggrandizing choice. Bully for them.

He was given a standing ovation from many members of the lower house as he announced his plan to stand down in the coming weeks.
[CNSNEWS] Tens of thousands of Hong Kong residents, some waving American flags, marched to the U.S. Consulate Sunday, urging Congress to quickly pass legislation providing for U.S. responses to Beijing-instigated rights abuses or attempts to erode the territory’s autonomy.
“President Trump, please liberate Hong Kong,” read a large blue banner and numerous posters held by demonstrators, some of whom also sang along to “The Star-Spangled Banner,” piped through loudspeakers.
“Resist Beijing! Liberate Hong Kong! Democracy Now!” protesters chanted, alluding to concerns about an erosion of freedoms in the former British colony, which reverted to Chinese rule in 1997 with guarantees it would continue to enjoy a “high degree” of autonomy for at least 50 years.
[NYPOST] President Trump on Monday went after the latest longshot to challenge him in the 2020 Republican primary, mocking former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford for his extramarital affair with a "Flaming Dancer."

"It was, but then he ran for Congress and won, only to lose his re-elect after I Tweeted my endorsement, on Election Day, for his opponent. But now take heart, he is back, and running for President of the United States," the president continued.
He concluded by referring to his challengers as "The Three Stooges" who are "badly failed candidates."

[PAGESIX] The defense attorney who initially represented rapper A$AP Rocky in his Swedish assault case was shot Friday morning while leaving his home in Stockholm ‐ and a former lawyer with a rap sheet was busted in connection with the crime.
Henrik Olsson Lilja was in a stairwell of the apartment building in central Stockholm when he was blasted multiple times in the head and chest at around 9 a.m. local time, TMZ reported.
The shooter jumped into a waiting SUV, which then sped off, according to the site, which reported that the maimed lawyer called the police himself.
Lilja was rushed to a local hospital where he was listed in serious, but stable, condition, according to the site.
Swedish Police said it is treating the case as an attempted murder, and authorities called it "an isolated incident with no known connection to recent violent crimes."
A woman, who is a former senior lawyer and ex-con, was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection to the incident, according to the Swedish newspaper Expressen.
The woman, who was not identified, was previously convicted of a violent crime, according to the newspaper.
Police said they have taken several people into custody for questioning.

Tell us again how people are being mistreated in Kashmire.
The regulation comes after several cases came to light in recent days of suspects dying in the custody of Punjab police due to alleged torture.
A communiqué sent to all Punjab coppers by the additional inspector general on behalf of the Punjab IG, seen by Dawn.com, stated that it had been observed that police officials were using mobile phones while on duty even though "clear directions in this regard have already been conveyed to all field formations".
"Frequent violations of these directions/SOPs reflect badly on the performance of supervising officers," it said, stressing that it was the responsibility of the field formations to get the instructions implemented "in letter and spirit".
"In future, no officer below the rank of SHO (Station House Officer) or in-charge of a deployed duty will use cellphone while on duty," the letter decreed.
It also said that it was "strictly forbidden" to make a video of coppers on duty or upload a video of coppers performing their duty.
Any violations of the order will entail "severe departmental action" against the police personnel involved and their supervisory officer, it added.
At least three cases had come to light last week of deaths caused by alleged police torture, and videos had gone viral on social media of some suspects in a distressed state while in police custody. On September 1, Salahuddin Ayubi, a man who was said to be mentally disabled, had died in police custody in Rahim Yar Khan. On the same day, a middle-aged man had passed away in Lahore after allegedly being tortured by Gujjarpura police in an illegal torture cell that was unearthed last month.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Two Iraqi citizens were maimed Saturday in a bomb explosion in eastern Baghdad, a security source was quoted as saying.
"A roadside kaboom went off Saturday in al-Baladiyat district, east of Baghdad, leaving two civilians maimed," the source told Iraqi TV channel Alsumaria News.
"The security forces cordoned off the blast scene, and carried the maimed into a nearby hospital for treatment," the source added.

Dhi Qar (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Iraqi security forces arrested on Wednesday two Iraqi youths for praising late president Saddam Hussein and commending his once-ruling Baath Party, a security source said.
"The pair, under 20s, were arrested by intelligence forces in Dhi Qar governorate for glorifying Saddam Hussein’s regime on social networking websites," the source told Alghad Press.
They were arrested pending investigations under the provisions of a law banning the Baath party and similar entities, he added.
The Iraqi parliament passes a bill banning the Baath Party from any political activity in the country in 2016.
The bill also outlawed any entities that profess or promote racism, terrorism, sectarianism or sectarian cleansing, as well as any political group that promotes ideas that contradict democracy and peaceful transition of power.

[IsraelTimes] The United States in 2017 successfully pulled one of its top spies inside the Russian government from the country, after US intelligence officials were alarmed by President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... discussing highly classified information on a secret Israeli mission in Syria with Russian officials, CNN reports, citing multiple Trump administration officials.
The report says the then-CIA director told other officials that too much information was being shared by Trump regarding the covert source. The spy was extracted in a complex mission after it was determined he was in danger.
That was done after Trump in May 2017 met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then-Russian ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak in the Oval Office.

Though Trump didn’t reveal information on the US asset in Moscow, intelligence officials decided to pull him out, in part out of fear that Trump would reveal details on that as well, CNN says.
At what point post-disappearance do you suppose the Russians figured out that the spy in question (spies are by definition not gentlemen, of course) was more than he appeared, dear Reader?

Fake news from the coup plotters. If you read the linked article (CNN) to the end it says:
Those concerns grew in early 2017 after the US intelligence community released its public report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election, which said Putin himself ordered the operation. The intelligence community also shared a classified version of the report with the incoming Trump administration, and it included highly protected details on the sources behind the intelligence. Senior US intelligence officials considered extracting at least one Russian asset at the time but did not do so, according to the former senior intelligence official.
I.e. It was the intel agencies' attempts to discredit the new President that endangered the asset.

Obvious BS. Trump is Putin's nightmare. Trump has:
pulled out of the ABM Treaty - a massive strategic defeat for Russia.
Under Trump, we've sold our most potent missile defense system to both Poland and Sweden. He reversed Obama's policy of refusing lethal military aid to Ukraine. He reversed Obama's Syria policy and directly confronted Russia on the ground, killing scores of Russian mercenaries and soldiers in Syria.
He tripled defense initiatives to deter Russian aggression in Europe, staged maneuvers on Russia's borders, increased the anti-Russian defense budget by ~50%.
Trump sanctioned ~40 oligarchs and Russian officials, expanded the Magnitsky sanctions list, closed consulates & diplomatic annexes, expelled 60 diplomats.
For this idiotic Trump = Putin's Puppet narrative to be true, Putin would have to be either suicidal or a completely incompetent fool or a traitor to his own country.
“Intelligence forces, in coordination with the Nineveh Operations Command, killed nine IS terrorists hiding inside a tunnel in al-Sahaji village, southwest of Mosul,” Brig. Gen. Yahia Rasool, spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, said in a press statement.
The troops were backed by warplanes of the U.S.-led international coalition, the spokesman added.
“A bomb placed inside a house at al Adnanya district in southeastern Mosul went off Saturday morning, leaving two explosive experts killed,” the ministry said in a press statement.
A security operation was launched to put an end to the threat of the leftover bombs in Mosul city.
Mosul has seen almost daily bombings and armed attacks against security members, paramilitary troops and civilians since the Iraqi government launched a wide-scale campaign to retake Islamic State-occupied areas in 2016. Though most of the daily bombings go without a claim of responsibility, Islamic State is expected to be behind many.
Mortar attack hurts U.S. soldier in Mosul
7 September
Mosul (IraqiNews.com) – A U.S. soldier was wounded Saturday in a mortar attack on a military base sheltering American troops in Mosul city, a security source said.
“A mortar attack targeted the military base of presidential palaces, which houses American troops, east of Mosul city, leaving a U.S. solider wounded,” the source told privately-owned Almaalomah news website on Saturday.
“Another mortar shell fell on the Andalus district in Mosul, leaving no casualties,” the source added.
The United States has an estimated 5,200 troops in Iraq as part of a security agreement with the Iraqi government to advise, assist, and support the Iraqi army in the fight against the Islamic State.
“Military intelligence forces stormed a terrorist hotbed at the Nineveh island, west of Mosul city, leaving an Islamic State terrorist dead,” Alsumaria News quoted the directorate as saying.
The troops destroyed the hideout and all its contents, the statement read.
Meanwhile, the directorate said that its forces arrested another Islamic State member in Ramadi city.
The militant, according to the statement, “was responsible for booby trapping vehicles in order to be used later in terrorist attacks by the Islamic State group.”

[ALMASDARNEWS] Shortly after 12:30 A.M. (local time), unconfirmed reports surfaced of unidentified warplanes targeting the Iranian forces in the eastern Syria city of Albukamal.
According to reports, a number of explosions were heard inside Albukamal city in the Deir Ezzor Governorate after these unidentified warplanes targeted the Iranian military’s positions.
Opposition activists in the area allege that the warplanes were targeting the Iranian forces; however, no government sources have confirmed these reports as of yet.
Al-Masdar is awaiting a response from the Syrian military about these allegations.

[LAWANDCRIME] The owner of right-leaning cable news channel One America News Network (OANN) has filed a defamation lawsuit against Rachel Maddow and others claiming that the 46-year-old liberal commentator "maliciously and recklessly" smeared the network as a Russian state propaganda outlet.
In a blurb obtained by Law&Crime, attorneys for OANN’s owner Herrring Networks, Inc. said they filed a $10 million defamation lawsuit against Maddow, Comcast Corporation, NBC Universal and MSNBC in a Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, federal court.
The lawsuit tracks a series of longstanding grievances between OANN and Comcast.
According to the blurb, the complaint alleges that Comcast refused to carry the right-wing network because OANN "counters the liberal politics of its own channel, MSNBC." One week after that, OANN’s founder Charles Herring sent an open email to Comcast deriding their alleged "anti-competitive censorship."
Maddow apparently responded in turn, defending her own network’s owners by blasting OANN and telling her own audience the right-wing network "really literally is paid Russian propaganda."
OANN’s lawsuit asserts that Maddow‐as well as the other named corporate defendants‐knew the liberal host’s statement was false and that Maddow acted both maliciously and recklessly when she made it. This language mirrors the legal definition of defamation under California statutory and case law.
The lawsuit further alleges that Maddow’s xenophobic broadside against OANN was intended to damage the conservative network’s business and reputation. Additionally, the lawsuit claims that Maddow targeted the competing network for retaliation over their allegations that Comcast was acting in an anti-competitive manner.
Attorney Skip Miller is a partner with Miller Barondess, LLP in Los Angeles.
In comments obtained by Law&Crime, Miller reiterated the anti-factual nature of Maddow’s Russian jab at the right-wing network.
"One America is wholly owned, operated and financed by the Herring family in San Diego," Miller said. "They are as American as apple pie. They are not paid by Russia and have nothing to do with the Russian government. This is a false and malicious libel, and they’re going to answer for it in a court of law."

After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... e and to push for the implementation of the Security Council resolutions that pledged the right of self-determination to the Kashmiri people.
In an interview with Consortium News, an independent American media outlet, she highlighted the gravity of the situation in the disputed region where people have been suffering under a military lockdown for over a month, and urged UN Secretary General António Guterres ...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years... to take steps to prevent a bigger crisis in South Asia.
"What has happened in occupied Jammu and Kashmir is certainly a flashpoint," Ambassador Lodhi said, noting that the secretary general and other UN officials have made statements in the wake of the ongoing crisis that called for a settlement of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue between India and Pakistain in accordance with Security Council resolutions and UN Charter provisions.
[THESUN.CO.UK] Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party has sensationally lost a THIRD of its seats in Moscow in a local election bloodbath.

The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... 's United Russia lost a third of its seats in Moscow's local electionsCredit: AFP or licensors
The vote was seen by outspoken opposition politician Alexei Navalny and his allies as an opportunity to make inroads against United Russia ahead of the 2021 national election.
Protests erupted in mid-July after the Central Election Commission refused to register a large number of opposition candidates, saying they had failed to collect enough signatures from genuine backers.
The excluded candidates, including allies of Navalny, slammed the move claiming it was designed to stop them winning seats in Moscow’s parliament.
Navalny advised his supporters to vote tactically across Russia for the candidate with the best chance of defeating Putin’s party.

Putin has destroyed his nation's chance at success. Whatever few good policies he has had have come completely by accident as he faces off against his southern Islamic neighbors in Chechnya. He has nearly destroyed the Ukraine, prevented any real economic, social, or political progress from occurring in Russia, and kept himself and his chosen few oligarchs incredibly wealthy and isolated from the troubles that Russia faces.

Walk into any roadside tavern and loudly state those sentiments out loud along highway 51 in Tennessee....and see what it gets you. Then when your face heals up, drive South to Georgia and do it again for a free funeral, The best place to go first would be the road going to Alabama through Powder Springs from Atlanta. Just any bar from Mableton going West toward central Alabama. And those people are the salt of the Earth Americans.

I see three things happening. (1) Some folks give up their guns rather than fight the system (2) Some folks declare their weapons stolen. Fill out a police report and basically hide their guns, police don't ask too many questions. (3) Some folks start shooting.
I don't know the percentages of each but I bet any kind of turn over your guns is made voluntary hoping to capture (1) and pretend its a big success.

As I understand it, ruprecht, 3% of the population were actively involved in American Revolution.
Debated the percentage that actually took up arms. The percentage is much higher when you take into account those that supplied, supported and worked against Tories. Based on known events and modern day conflicts, some 35% supported the revolution. 30-35% were Tories and the rest just wanted to be left alone.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The mayor of al-Qa’im in Iraq’s al-Anbar Governorate told the Sputnik News Agency on Friday, September 6th that his country’s government was preparing to reopen their border with Syria after several weeks of construction.
Speaking to Sputnik, Ahmad Jidyan, al-Qa’im’s mayor, said that 90 percent of the Iraqi-Syrian border at Albukamal has been rehabilitated.
Despite previously setting the reopening date on September 7th, Jidyan said the border crossing will actually be reopened on a later date, as the project’s construction continues on both sides of the border.
Jidyan said the last 10 percent of the construction has to do with logistical work, in particular, the restoration of electricity at the crossing.
For Syria, the reopening of their border crossing with Iraq will be a major boost for their economy as trade and commerce between both countries should be increased substantially.
Furthermore, once the border is reopened, Syria will benefit greatly from Iran’s ground transportation of oil.
As of now, Syria relies on Iran’s transportation of oil via sea; however, with the new land bridge from Iraq, they will be able to avoid such travel routes.

A series of Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s attributed to Israel that targeted a base belonging to a pro-Iranian Shiite militia in Syria near the border with Iraq on Monday completely destroyed at least eight storehouses in the compound, according to satellite images released by a private Israeli intelligence firm.
The pre-dawn attack caused a great deal of damage to the base, known as the Imam Ali compound, which Israel reportedly believes was a key element in Tehran’s effort to develop a so-called "land bridge" that would allow the Islamic Theocratic Republic to easily move weapons, fighters, and war materiel from Iran through Iraq, Syria and Leb.
The compound, which is located approximately five kilometers (three miles) from the Iraqi border in Syria’s Albu Kamal region, was first publicly identified as an Iranian-controlled base earlier this month by Fox News, citing unnamed Western intelligence sources.
"If indeed it is an Iranian base, it is probable that the strike is part of the struggle with Tehran to prevent its effort of establishing the land corridor to its allies in Syria and Hezbollah in Leb," according to the Israeli satellite imagery analysis company ImageSat International.
Pro-Iranian news outlets attributed the bombardment to the Israel Defense Forces. There was no immediate comment from Israel.
Shortly after the strike, members of a Shiite militia in Syria fired a number of rockets toward Mount Hermon on the Israeli Golan Heights from the outskirts of Damascus, according to the Israeli military.
The projectiles fell short of the border and landed inside Syrian territory.
The highly irregular reprisal attack by a pro-Iranian militia appeared to indicate that Tehran saw the strike as a serious blow to its efforts in the region.
According to a Britian-based Syrian war monitor, at least 21 people were killed in the airstrike on the Imam Ali base, which was reportedly constructed under the direction of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ Quds Force.
The base belonged to the Popular Mobilization Force, an umbrella group of Iraqi Shiite militias, which are funded in large part by Iran.
According to ImageSat, the eight storehouses that were destroyed in the strike appeared to be either newly built or still in the process of being built. Several other structures remained intact following the strike.
The Israeli intelligence firm said that the storehouses appeared to have been holding ammunition and weaponry when they were attacked.
According to the Fox News report, once completed, the Albu Kamal base could house thousands of soldiers and storage facilities for advanced weapons. The US cable network said the base’s construction is being overseen by the powerful Quds Force and its commander Qassem Soleimani , who are responsible for the IRGC’s activities abroad.
Satellite photos of the base, released by ImageSat International last week, showed what appeared to be five recently constructed buildings that can store precision-guided missiles.
[NYPOST] The Taliban ...Arabic for students... on Sunday said that President Trump’s decision to call off a secret meeting that he had scheduled with the terror group’s leaders at Camp David "will lead to more losses to the US."
"Now that US President Trump has announced the suspension of negotiations with the Islamic Emirate, this would not harm anyone else but the Americans themselves," the Taliban said in a statement. "This will further harm their credibility and will show their anti-peace stance in more clear way."
Taliban front man Zabihullah Mujahid said that the US "anti-peace stance will be exposed to the world" and that "losses to lives and assets will increase" now that the talks with the terror leaders are off.
"This will lead to more losses to the US," Mujahid said.
The failed talks ‐ which were planned to take place at Camp David on Sunday ‐ were first announced by Trump in a tweet Saturday night and were then confirmed by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as being officially off.
"For the time being they are," Pompeo said on "Fox News Sunday."
Pompeo added that Zalmay Khalilzad, special representative for Afghanistan reconciliation at the State Department, had been ordered home in the wake of the decision. It comes following a suicide kaboom in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Thursday that left a US Army sergeant dead.

Tactical retreat may be hooted and heckled by the enemy and your detractors, but it's the best thing to do right now. Trump hasn't yet mustered 'the bad' it'll take to win this.
A pull out and denial of Afghan territory to CIA officials will also have other advantages back home. I say that in light of this.

[DAWN] Kuwait’s 90-year-old ruling emir has cancelled a visit on Thursday with President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... at the White House after being admitted to a US hospital following an earlier health scare last month.
Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah will undergo unspecified tests during his hospitalisation, the state-run Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) reported late Sunday, without elaborating.
It quoted Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al Sabah, the minister of the emir’s diwan council, as saying Sheikh Sabah would reschedule his visit with Trump.
"Sheikh Ali prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow His Highness the Emir with good health," Kuna said.
A White House statement said Trump was aware of the emir being hospitalised.
"The president wishes his friend, the Emir, a speedy recovery and looks forward to welcoming him back to Washington as soon as he is feeling better," the statement said. "The Emir is a well-respected leader and has been a tremendous partner of the United States in tackling challenges in the region."
On August 18, Kuwait acknowledged the emir suffered an unspecified medical "setback".
That came after visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on Twitter that he was "praying for emir’s speedy recovery".

The ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a statement that on September 7 it had "verified that the following centrifuges were either installed or being installed...: 22 IR-4, one IR-5, 30 IR-6 and three IR-6s."
The IAEA’s confirmation comes a day after Tehran hit out at Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... an powers, saying they had left Iran little option but to scale back its commitments under the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
The IAEA added in its statement that the centrifuges had been installed at Iran’s Natanz facility and said "all of the installed centrifuges had been prepared for testing with UF6 (uranium hexafluoride), although none of them were being tested with UF6 on 7 and 8 September 2019."
"In addition, in a letter to the Agency dated 8 September, Iran informed the Agency that it would reinstall the piping at two R&D lines to accommodate a cascade of 164 IR-4 centrifuges and a cascade of 164 IR-2m centrifuges," the agency’s statement said.
Iran has said that notwithstanding its reduction of commitments under the JCPOA, it will continue to allow access to IAEA inspectors who monitor its nuclear program.
After the IAEA assessment was released on Monday, Foreign Minister Israel Katz called on the remaining signatories of the 2015 deal to follow the US example by abandoning the accord and re-imposing sanctions on the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
Also on Monday, China ‐ which along with La Belle France, Germany, Britannia and Russia is also a signatory to the JCPOA ‐ called on the US to "give up its wrong approach such as unilateral sanctions and extreme pressure against Iran."

[IsraelTimes] Terror group contends interlocutors have not succeeded in securing Mohammed al-Khoudari’s release yet; it asserts Gulf kingdom also arrested several other Paleostinians.
The Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror group said Monday that Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... earlier this year arrested a Paleostinian man who used to manage its relations with Riyadh.
Hamas claimed in a statement that Saudi Arabia, "in a strange and unacceptable move," collared 81-year-old Mohammed al-Khoudari, who it noted has also held high-ranking leadership positions in the terror group, on April 4.
Hamas, which has vowed to destroy Israel, has seldom made public criticisms explicitly directed at Saudi Arabia.
The terror group also contended that Khoudari, who it said has lived in Jedda for three decades, was suffering from an incurable illness Islam and said Riyadh also nabbed his son Hani "without justification," along with other Paleostinians based in the Gulf kingdom.
Hamas’s statement did not state whether Hani or the other Paleostinians it said were arrested belong to its ranks.
"Hamas has kept silent for over five months to allow for interlocutors to undertake efforts [to release the Paleostinians], but they have not led to any results as of yet," the terror group said.
"Therefore, the movement found itself compelled to issue an announcement, demanding the Saudi authorities release Khoudari, his son and all other Paleostinian detainees," it added.
Hamas is backed by Iran, which Saudi officials, similar to the Israeli government, consider a regional foe.
In 2017, then-Saudi foreign minister Adel al-Jubeir told news hounds in La Belle France that Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. After a lengthy investigation, special counsel Robert Mueller charged Russia made "multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election" and said the incursion "deserves the attention of every American."
But former FBI Sherlocks say their old boss didn’t feel the same concern when they uncovered multiple, systemic efforts by the Saudi government to assist the hijackers in the lead-up to the 9/11 attacks ‐ a far more consequential, to say nothing of deadly, foreign influence operation on America.
As the head of the FBI at the time, they say Mueller was not nearly as interested in investigating that espionage conspiracy, which also involved foreign intelligence officers. Far from it, the record shows he covered up evidence pointing back to the Saudi Embassy and Riyadh ‐ and may have even misled Congress about what he knew.
9/11 victims agree. "He was the master when it came to covering up the kingdom’s role in 9/11," said survivor Sharon Premoli, who was pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Center 18 years ago.
"In October of 2001, Mueller shut down the government’s investigation after only three weeks, and then took part in the Bush [administration’s] campaign to block, obfuscate and generally stop anything about Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... from being released," added Premoli, now a plaintiff in the 9/11 lawsuit against Saudi Arabia.
In fact, Mueller threw up roadblocks in the path of his own Sherlocks working the 9/11 case, while making it easier for Saudi suspects to escape questioning, multiple case agents told me. Then he deep-sixed what evidence his agents did manage to uncover, according to the 9/11 lawsuit against the Saudis.

[NYPOST] British leader Boris Johnson ...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies.... has confirmed he will shut down Parliament Monday night after a second attempt to force a snap general election.
"Parliament will be prorogued at close of business today," the Prime Minister’s front man said, using the parliamentary term for the suspension of business.
It starts Monday night, after Johnson tries for the second time to try to force a general election in the hopes of gaining enough support to force through his plans for a no-deal Brexit by Oct. 31.
Lasting until Oct. 14, the suspension, which limits politicians’ ability to block Johnson’s plans, will happen regardless of the outcome of his election bid, his front man said.
The suspension comes as Johnson insisted to Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar that a new Brexit deal could be reached by the Halloween deadline.
The two leaders met in Dublin on Monday, with Johnson saying an "alternative arrangements" could also be met on the so-called Irish backstop provision. Johnson wants the bloc to scrap the controversial backstop mechanism that would keep the Ireland-Northern Ireland border open in all circumstances after Brexit.
[DAWN] United States President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... on Monday said that US peace talks with the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... are over and announced that the US military has dramatically scaled up attacks on the gunnies in Afghanistan.
"They are dead. As far as I am concerned, they are dead," Trump said at the White House about the long-running attempt to reach an agreement with the Taliban and extricate US troops from the country after 18 years of war.
The announcement followed Trump's dramatic cancelation of a secret plan to fly Taliban leaders in for direct talks at the Camp David presidential retreat over the weekend.
Driving another nail into the coffin of what had appeared to be nearly completed negotiations, Trump said that a US military onslaught on the guerrillas was now at its fiercest in a decade.
"Over the last four days, we have been hitting our enemy harder than at any time in the last ten years!" he said in a tweet.
On Sunday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that "we've killed over a thousand Taliban in just the last 10 days."
Goodness. Kudos all around, including to the Taliban for waiting like sitting ducks.
Trump angrily denied that the whiplash effect of his sudden shifts on Afghanistan was causing turmoil.
Until this weekend, there had been steadily mounting expectations of a deal that would see the US draw down troop levels in Afghanistan. In return, the Taliban would offer security guarantees to keep Death Eater groups out.

Iraqi security forces apprehend Islamic State militant in Diyala
4 September
Diyala (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi security forces arrested on Wednesday an Islamic State member during a security operation in the northeastern province of Diyala, the Interior Ministry said.
“Acting on intelligence information, a security force from Diyala intelligence and counter-terrorism directorate arrested an Islamic State militant, who served as a member of the so-called Diyala province in the terrorist group,” Maj. Gen. Saad Maan, the ministry spokesman, said in a press statement.
The suspect confessed to carrying out several terrorist attacks against civilians, as well as providing aid supplies for the Islamic State militants, the spokesman added.
“An explosive charge went off Wednesday morning near a farm in al-Abbara district, northeast of Baqubah, leaving a farmer wounded,” the source told the privately-owned Alghad Press website.
“The wounded civilian was moved to a nearby hospital for treatment,” added the source.
“An explosive charge targeted an army force in al-Islah village in Jalawla district, leaving two soldiers wounded,” the source told the privately-owned Almaalomah news website.
“Security forces cordoned off the blast scene, and the wounded were moved to hospital,” added the source.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Islamic State (IS) militant group, in most cases, is responsible for attacks targeting crowded areas, including markets, cafes and mosques across Iraq.

[IsraelTimes] Report indicates drone was in area at time of explosion in western Anbar Province, day after alleged strike on group on Syrian side of border and failed missile attack.
Loud explosions were reported early Tuesday at a warehouse in Iraq apparently used by an Shiite militia, seemingly the latest of a string of attacks targeting Iranian-backed groups in western Iraq and eastern Syria.
The explosions were reported near the city of Hit in Anbar Province, northwest of Baghdad.
According to al-Arabiya, an Iraqi officer said there was a drone in the area at the time of the blasts.
It was not clear what the warehouse was storing, but Sky News Arabic reported that after the blast, shells were launched into neighboring areas, indicating an arms depot may have been hit.
There were reports of casualties from the blasts, though it was unclear how many there were.
The warehouse reportedly belonged to the Popular Mobilization Forces, an Iran-backed militia which has blamed both Israel and the US for a recent string of blasts and drone sightings at its bases.
[ALMASDARNEWS] Hezbollah announced that their forces had shot down an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that entered Lebanese airspace from the Upper Galilee region.

"The drone was downed on Monday 09/09/2019 at the outskirts of the town and is now in the hands of the Resistance That'd be the Hezbullies, but in the U.S. it's used by anti-Trumplings... ," they added.

France has its own "flyover" provinces - basically, everything south of Paris and west of Strasbourg - but you never hear about them in the French media, French films or in the stupid things uttered by French politicians and intellectuals.

More evidence of the reality vs the image of France: Opposition to gay marriage was/is much higher in France than here.
PC speech and memes are a joke to the French.
Support for the death penalty in France is about as high as it is in the US.
Moral: today the really important cultural differences in the West are not between nations but within them.
The big divide is between the globalists and their virtue-signaling PC identity politics " global citizen" BS, and normal people for whom place, family, tradition and history matter more than abstract obligations involving strangers.
Please don’t hurt us! We’re totally separate from those Iranian devils you hate, whoever you are, we promise.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Iraqi authorities decided to postpone the opening of a border crossing with Syria until further notice following an overnight attack on Iraqi militias in the Syrian side, a security source said.
"The aerial bombardment that targeted Iraqi murderous Moslems in the Syrian town of Albu Kamal will delay the inauguration of Al Qae’m border crossing, which was scheduled to be opened today or Tuesday," the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told RT channel.
"It’s unclear when the border crossing would be opened," the source added.
Warplanes have struck positions of Iran-backed militias near Syria’s border with Iraq, activists told BBC.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, said at least 18 Iranian and pro-Iranian fighters were killed.
It was not clear who carried out the overnight strikes in and around the town of Albu Kamal.
But Israel has carried out hundreds of attacks on Iranian-linked targets in Syria during the country’s civil war.
It has sought to thwart what it calls Iran’s "military entrenchment" in Syria and shipments of Iranian weapons to holy warrior groups such as Hezbollah in Leb.

[DAWN] China lashed out at the United States on Monday after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called Beijing's treatment of the country's ethnic Uighur minority among "the worst stains on the world".
Speaking at Kansas State University last week, Pompeo said Washington would use this month's UN General Assembly to rally support for the Uighurs, a mostly Moslem minority that has seen mass incarceration under the Chinese government.
"The lies of American politicians can't trick people around the world and will only further expose the purpose of their hidden political motives," said Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying.
"We express our strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition to these US officials who disregard the facts... and seriously interfere in China's internal affairs," she told news hounds at a press briefing in Beijing.
China has come under international scrutiny over its policies in the northwestern region of Xinjiang, where as many as one million Uighurs and other mostly Moslem minorities are being held in re-education camps, according to the 2018 findings of an independent UN panel.
After initially denying their existence, Beijing now defends the camps, which it calls "vocational education centres", as a necessary measure to counter religious extremism and terrorism.

[NYPOST] A 23-year-old Wisconsin high school teacher allegedly raped a 15-year-old student at her home and exchanged inappropriate Snapchat messages with him for about two months, authorities said.
Talia Jo Warner, who taught health at Somerset High School, could face up to 40 years behind bars for her illicit relationship with the boy, RiverTowns.net reported.
The sophomore told authorities that between October and December of last year, he’d received about 10 photos and videos from Warner ‐ including one that showed her performing a sex act on herself, according to the report.
Police reviewed Snapchat records between the two and found messages that escalated to "sexual talk and behavior" over the months. The pair also discussed exchanging nude photos, though none of the alleged illicit images could be found, the outlet reported.
Warner and the teen had two sexual encounters, including one in the car down the street from his house, police said.
The second allegedly happened on Dec. 14, when authorities say Warner picked the student up from a sporting event and drove him back to her former home in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where they had sex in her bedroom, the outlet reported.
The student initially denied any inappropriate contact with Warner during an interview with the school but later admitted to law enforcement, according to the report.
Students and a teacher alerted the local school district about the allegations and Warner later resigned, according to the report.
Warner was charged Aug. 28 with second-degree sexual assault of a child, use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, child enticement, causing a child older than 13 to view sexual activity, two counts of exposing genitals, pubic area or intimate parts to a child and exposing a child to harmful material.

They kept males out of the lower grades because of 'fears'. If the proportion of male to female teachers were reversed any place out, there would be demands for all sort of programs and administrative counting to get the numbers closer to the general population. It's never been about fairness or justice, it's always been about power.
And let's not forget the gross variance in punishment for the crime between one group and another.
I'll bet it was his mother who messed it up for him, and all he can do now is nod in court. Some mothers will drive that castration anxiety to the max where the poor fucker can't even get it up again.

Truth. Junior here sure didn't mind fetching that pail of water a few times.
Obviously she is in the wrong, and should no longer be left alone with children...40 years seems a bit steep, especially considering Junior's enthusiasm. Money on the chip he outed the deal by bragging to someone.
