after many many time visiting this blog I tend to have a rough idea about who is who in here, and why peoples that have access to media, and different languages, viewpoints, from the entire planet, still are fossilized in distorted propaganda world views created over 80 years ago. And besides the tectonic word events that changed and shaped the world culture and views of the reality during all of these years, the majority of the old American generation never evolved from. I understand that your age group, your entire generation has been trained to be Russophobic you have lived all your entire life bombarded by Cold War propaganda. Exactly like the young generations that you complain about, is now been propped for future use by the new propaganda designed for this (woke) generation this an example that demonstrates the damages and psychological manipulation done to the USA population by your own leadership. I’m not sure if you are aware but the entire world, think Americans are naïve and under informed, including your friends in, the Israel Italy England Japan spheres ,… we laughed about how easy an American can be fooled, and how their media and their own government lies to them, on the ground on site when showing the difference on how their own media was reporting the events; so I now understand why all of you old timers are continuously, furiously participating in this (against reality) aggregation of fake British-sourced news…. You (exponentially thousands times than other countries) because you're been trained and shaped by propaganda all of your lives, you are just trying to make believe yourself a reality that unfortunately does not exist. So every day you scoured the bottom of the internet looking for titles that you want to hear… bombarding your readers with fake news. And patriots like myself have to awake you.

#5 Wow, that was well done. Finally a troll mind of worth. Sadly, also wrong about a lot. But this was far better than a lot of the drivel his predecessors have offered here. I, for one am flattered, that such talent is sent to tiny little Rantburg, to tweak the mustaches of old farts like me. But, I must ask, why? That tome wasn't to convince me or my friends here, but someone who reads and eavesdrops here that is important to influence. That too I find interesting.

So my non-American friends used to assure me when Mr. Wife’s career took us abroad. Generally I was the only American in the group, which was suggestive.

Are you familiar with Jean-François Revel, dear Just a reader? He was one of France’s unique collection of philosopher-journalists, like you very interested in conundrum that is America. His Anti-Americanism addresses the very issue you pose. He personally undertook to translate the manuscript from French into English, as I recall, while his French publishers had translations made available in a variety of other languages; so you ought to be able to find a copy in your preferred tongue, or one near it. Only on paper or as an audiobook, unfortunately — he was of the generation that predates e-books. I think reading that would guide you toward much more persuasive arguments for your target audience rather than being unintentionally amusing.

He did start out as a Socialist, to be sure, but he was born in 1924 in France, and in his youth the choice for intellectuals was between degrees on the left: Fabians, labour socialists, national socialist fascists, or international socialist Marxists. With maturity and experience, however, he became a committed free market capitalist and classical liberal, no longer a denizen of the Left at all. If he was rich, it was not as a Socialist, French or otherwise.
