#2 Finally, I think I am beginning to see a way out for the Eurozone.

#3 Just google "mother sells daughter" for US results. Terrible, tragic, but drugs are a common thread.

#4 Another success for Drug Prohibition!

#5 Right. How are the druggies going to pay for their drugs? Oh, that's right we'll all subsidize them. Alcohol consumers will be right in line in back of them.

#6 The article doesn't say which drug(s) the father was addicted to, but it might well be that said chemcals are legal in Pakistan. Cheap, legally available drugs just enable the addict to consume more before running into economic difficulties.

Libertarians don't think that far ahead.

#8 Ending prohibition didn't end alcoholism, but it was still better than the alternative. Ever heard of "harm reduction"? No one is asking you to subsidize beer or anything else. A lot of people like to get high, always have, always will. Deal with it.

You obviously don't understand sharia.

Everything not mandatory is forbidden.

Opium poppies grow wild as well as under cultivation, marijuana plants grow wild, people go blind and mad from homemade hooch regularly, they have commonly used illegal recreational drugs that we don't use here...Sharia is beside the point, mojo.
