#1 Note to Austria: This American finds your condemnation of our death penalty rather humorous in light of other mass murderers who found great popularity in your nation several decades ago. Your sympathy for Tookie Williams is duely noted and sneered at appropriately.

Note to Tookie: If you lick Arafat's nutsack just right he might let you wear some of that Nobel bling you just didn't manage to snag. That is, if it hasn't melted in the brimstone yet.

#2 I don;t think Arnie has been a bad Gov in fact he has been pretty good as far as straightening up the state financial picture. If anything he has tried to do too much too quick. He took on the thre most powerful organizations in one election. While he remains popular he can't beat the Unions, Liberals, and the CalDems at the same time. I only hope that Graz learna VALUABLE lesson from this episode and BEGS to re-honor a man that truely deserves to be honored here and there. I aint holnding my breath.

#3 This is the Euro version of the Cause => Effect cognitive dissonance. They're not much better (any?) at it than Paleos or Caliphatists.

I have followed Arnold a little - and he has tried to do some BIG things - solo against the Big Machine of the Laficornia Legislature and Big Machine Unions. That he hasn't swept them from the field of battle is simply because he's alone - the Laficornia Pubs are the most disorganized lot imaginable. If they ever pull their heads out of their asses, put forward decent candidate slates, and put their money behind the desires of the average Caliphornian, heh, then they'll get somewhere. Most citizens there, or at least my 3 year residency (97-99) there indicated to me, aren't raving moonbats, they just have no one to turn to. I was hopeful Arnold would organize them, whip them into shape, but I guess he's been busy fighting the good fight while they play golf - or whatever it is that distracts them so badly.

This is a Blue State just begging to go Red - if the right people were to step forward and get everyone on the same page, methinks.
