#4 Dan, Canada is the result of living under the American security umbrella for fifty years, and has become a very unserious nation focused entirely on medical welfare. (And as SARS has proven, we cannot even do that succcessfully.)

If GW and Co. is really "all about oil", then a maintenance platoon making a wrong turn at the Montana border could probably secure all of Alberta in a couple of hours. Couple of tanks at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo would probably send Chretien and his pack into asylum in Cuba. C&C deserve each other.
