#5 The black turbans must be resting uneasily to be trying so hard to focus their citizen's attention against an external threat. Maybe we should exacerbate their unease by actively supporting the revolutionary elements in Iran. If push came to shove, we could enforce regime change. There are 65M Iranians so it wouldn't be quite the walkover that Iraq was, but I suspect that we could kick some sand in the mullah's face and then let the Iranians try and enjoy life like the rest of us.

If they do that, I'm damn well gonna emigrate to Britain.

If Jimmy Carter had had the balls to order our embassy guards to do that 25 years ago, 9/11-- and most of the other terrorist attacks of the last quarter century-- very likely would not have happened.
