#2 They never truly go away. Even Carrot Top still gets a gig occasionally. Keith Olberman still has followers. People buy Eagles tickets for some reason. I guess it slims out the line for the buffet at the senior center for a week or two.

As in, they knew no one would pay for it.
The problem we currently have is, with the huge amount of time to fill on net and satellite TV, there's too much need for content. They'll put anything on.
