Hillary's agribusiness ties give rise to nickname in Iowa: 'Bride of Frankenfood'
[WASHINGTONTIMES] ‘Bride of Frankenfood’ losing crucial liberal activist support to Bernie Sanders

#1  "Bride of Satan" might work just as well. How about "Bytch from Hell?" "Bride of Frankenfood" is far too kind.

Why Not Martin O'Malley?

#1  No, the country has not done well under Democrats.

BTW, I hear Elizabeth Warren and O'Malley mentioned as fall backs to Hildebeest. Why do the donks never mention Joe Manchin (West Virginia) as a candidate--just asking?

#5  Again, 1990's POTUS Bill Clinton was allegedly America's first "Black President", hence we got POTUS Bammer.

The Bammer himself is being labeled as America's first non-White, indigenous "Native American/
Ameri-Indian" POTUS, hence we may see BOBBIE JINDAL as a de facto "DARK HORSE" POTUS come Jan 2017.

Jindal has ASIAN/SOUTH ASIAN-INDIAN in his ancestry, NOT AMER-INDIAN E.G. SIOUX, CHEROKEE, APACHE, ETC. BUT THE FORMER MAY BE AS GOOD AS OUR ANTI-AMERICAN AMERIKAN GOVT = "THE AMERICAN DREAM IS NOW THE NORTH AMERICAN DREAM" GETS.

Unions Pour Millions into Clinton Foundation
Quidding that for the pro quo? *shudder* Let's hope her opponent wins as big as Scott Walker has done.
[FREEBEACON] Big labor funneled millions of dollars in dues money to the Clinton Foundation, according to a new report.

The National Institute for Labor Relations Research (NILRR), a union watchdog group, traced at least $2 million in donations from multiple union organizations and affiliates.

"U.S. Department of Labor's union financial disclosure reports reveal that Big Labor gave at least $2,034,500 in union general treasury funds to Clinton Foundations. Union treasuries are funded mostly by compulsory union dues or fees collected from workers who would be fired for refusing to pay," the NILRR report says. "As Mrs. Clinton became closer to her current run for president, donations amounts appear to have increased."

The Clintons have turned their foundation into a lucrative "slush fund," according to one charity watchdog group, and have received hundreds of millions of dollars from notable businesses, media personalities, and political luminaries. The family has maintained that none of those donations influenced her decisions as secretary of state and that the money is strictly philanthropic.

However,
there's more than one way to skin a cat...
unions did not necessarily agree about the apolitical nature of the donations, according to NILRR.

"Some of these 'donations' are categorized by the unions as 'political' on their financial disclosure report" to the Labor Department, the report says.

#1  Somehow this cozy relationship with unions, Progressive causes and politics has to end. If you belong to a union, your dues get collected by your work organization for the unions. Whether you agree with the Progressive cause or not, your dues go to support the Progressive cause. In a sense, through your dues you end up voting for the Progressive cause even though you might hate what they stand for. Your job is contingent upon belonging to the union in non-right-to-work states. This is bald faced coercion or shakedown--not much different than buying Mafia protection.

#2  Scott Walker upended the Union system in his state. Can that be repeated on a national level?

I think this explains why the media has been trumping Hillary as the heir apparent. They know she has the foot soldiers and solid financial backing of the unions. Progressive coalition falls apart into squabbly children without the unions.

#3  I think this explains why the media has been trumping Hillary as the heir apparent.

Might be on their own initiative as well. I have a hard time believing ABC's George Stephanopolous is the only Clinton Foundation contributor in the media.

#6  IIRC as per LUCIANNE, BIG LABOR sezzes that only 1/4 of the World's workers have "good-paying" jobs.

Hillary had better be careful lest she lest she ends up being "JFK'ed" - US LABOR IS ALREADY MIGHTILY UPSET WID THE BAMMER DUE TO HIS ADMIN + WASHINGTON ALLOWING MILYUHNS-N-DILYUHNS OF FOREIGN MIGRANTS-WORKERS EASY ACCESS TO DOMESTIC US JOPS, BUT ITS NOT RECIPROCATED OVERSEAS BY ALLIED OR PARTNERED FOREIGN GOVTS VEE GRANTING DOMESTIC ACCESS TO US WORKERS.

Iraq
WH: Fall of Ramadi to ISIS a 'setback'
[THEHILL] The White House on Monday called the fall of Ramadi to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) a "setback," but vowed the U.S. is determined to help retake the Iraqi city.

"There is no denying that this is indeed a setback," White House front man Eric Schultz said. "But there is also no denying we will help the Iraqis take back Ramadi."

Islamic State forces seized control of the city over the weekend, reportedly killing hundreds of people and forcing thousands from their homes.

The city's fall raised fresh concerns over the effectiveness of President B.O.'s strategy in fighting ISIS, which has relied on U.S. and coalition Arclight airstrikes and training of Iraqi ground forces.

The White House said it's not prepared to change its strategy and expressed confidence in the ability of Iraqi security forces.

"ISIL will ultimately be defeated in Ramadi and elsewhere in Iraq because we believe Iraqi forces have the capacity to ultimately take Ramadi with coalition support," Schultz said, using an alternate acronym to refer to the group.

Schultz said there have been 32 Arclight airstrikes in Ramadi in the past three weeks, including eight in the past 24 hours.

Why say more.

It is all in your Holy Bible, with which, there would be no "set-backs".

Supreme Court strikes down Maryland double-tax law
[FOXNEWS] The Supreme Court on Monday struck down a Maryland tax that effectively double-taxes residents for income earned in other states -- a decision that could cost Maryland and other states with similar policies hundreds of millions of dollars.

In a 5-4 ruling, the justices agreed with a lower court that the tax is unconstitutional because it discourages Maryland residents from earning money outside the state.

"Maryland's tax scheme is inherently discriminatory," the justices wrote in the majority opinion. They wrote that the policy effectively discourages "interstate commerce."

The ruling said: "If every State adopted Maryland's tax structure, interstate commerce would be taxed at a higher rate than intrastate commerce."

The ruling could have far-reaching consequences beyond just Maryland. It also could affect similar laws in other states, including New York, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

At issue in this case is Maryland's treatment of money earned out of state.

Most states give residents a full credit for income taxes paid on money earned out of state. Yet Maryland, while allowing residents to deduct income taxes paid to other states from their state tax, did not apply that deduction to a local "piggy back" tax collected for counties and some city governments.

Maryland claimed it had authority to tax all the income its residents earn to pay for local services like public schools.

The challenge to the policy was brought by a Maryland businessman who earned money in multiple states, and complained about the double-tax.

In the near-term, the court decision could cost Maryland hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars.

Kerry Tells China: 'Because of Climate Change in U.S. We Are Ending Any Funding' of 'Coal-Fired Power'
[CNSNEWS] At a joint presser in Beijing yesterday with People's Republic of China Foreign Minister Wang Yi, U.S. Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
said that the B.O. regime intends to cooperate closely with the PRC leading into a U.N. climate conference in Gay Paree in December and that the U.S. is "ending any funding" of coal-fired power projects.

President Barack Obama
It’s very rare that I come to an event where I’m like the fifth- or sixth-most interesting person....
's fiscal 2016 budget proposal calls for increasing taxes on the coal industry by $4.252 billion from 2016-2025 while providing "refundable" tax credits to "renewable" energy projects such as solar and wind power facilities.

"There are three key meetings that we are all working on together to prepare for in order to build success," said Kerry. "One is the Security and Economic Dialogue that will take place in June in Washington. Two is the summit between President Xi and President B.O. to take place in September. And three is the global meeting that we are working on together regarding climate change in Gay Paree in December."

"The United States and China are also cooperating more closely than ever to address climate change, one of the greatest threats facing our planet today," said Kerry. "Last fall, our respective presidents came together to announce our countries' greenhouse gas commitments, the reductions, and we continue to call on other nations around the world to set their own ambitious targets. And we agreed this morning that as we get closer to the UN Climate Conference in Gay Paree later this year, the United States and China, the world's two largest greenhouse gas emitters, will elevate our cooperation and coordination so that we can reach the kind of global agreement that we will need to ultimately address this threat."

#6  The Green Weenies are touting the fact that China has decreased it's use and mining of coal by 2.9%, thereby reducing CO2 emissions. They convent lyrics ignore the 5.9% increase in oil usage and the 4% increase in natural gas usage.

#7  TW, the poor will get 'free stuff' like free utilities and the rich will, of course be able to afford it, it's the middle class that's the intentional target of forced price increases to destroy their means of advancement and desperately trying to avoid from sliding into the 'lower' class.

#8  A silver linings this a.m. is that Kerry didn't become POTUS back in 2004. Thanks you Swift Boat operators.
Posted by: JohnQC || 05/19/2015 9:22 Comments || Top||

#9  One article claims the Chinese decreased their coal imports 38%, their coal mining 6 (coal provided 66% of their primary energy supply) and increased their natural gas consumption 7% and oil consumption 4%, in just the past year. I don't believe it is possible for those numbers to be correct unless their total economic output has collapsed.

#10  Obama is merely obeying the wishes of his Mandarin masters. Surely they are very pleased with him. They get the industry. Their people get the jobs. They pollute worse than we ever did and the wind blows the pollution across the Pacific Ocean toward us, dropping mercury into the water as it goes. We get the shaft. And if they claim to be reducing their emissions remember who they are, remember who Kerry and Obama are, and how many times they've lied before. This is all by design.
