[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] On Tuesday, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced that he is shutting down reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... 's planned $65 million camp to house illegal immigrants colonists near Brighton Park after an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) report showed toxic chemicals on the property.
According to NBC, the EPA released an 800-page report that showed the site set to house over 2,000 immigrants colonists had mercury, arsenic, lead, cyanide, pesticides, and PCBs found on site.
In a statement, Pritzker's office said, "EPA standards on sampling and remediation are clear and known to the City. Those are not the standards the City chose to use." It continued, "The City did not engage with IEPA or the State before releasing the report and when it did release the report, was unable to explain the lesser standards they did choose to use and how they arrived at those standards."
"But while the City might be comfortable placing asylum seekers on a site where toxins are present without a full understanding of whether it is safe, the State is not. This site will not move forward as a shelter with State involvement," the statement concluded.
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson ...Hizzonner da Mare of Chicago. He was elected in April 2023 to replace the disastrous Lori Lightfoot and immediately set about out-Richtering her. A member of the Democratic Party (naturally), Johnson previously worked as a social studies teacher in the city's stellar public schools system. He helped organize the 2012 teachers strike. Prior to becoming Da Mare, he served on the Cook County Board of Boodlng Commissioners from 2018 to 2023... said that the discovery of toxicity at the site was no surprise.
Residents of the area had filed a lawsuit against the city last month to halt the construction of the site claiming that it violated zoning laws.
"These people are just getting off the bus and everything's given to them," Richard Palacios, a long-time resident said. "As a taxpayer, I don't think that's right."

Wonder where they could test in Chicago and not find similar levels of contamination.
Big railway switching and repair facilities near there.
And P2k, almost anywhere in Chicago within 10 miles of Lake Michigan was at one time related to something industrial, rail transit or stockyard.

That might be a strategy for chess moving the migrants out of the city. Wouldn’t do much for tourism.

Back in the old Cold War days, the Army had Nike Hercules missile batteries on the lakefront.
Chicago’s sites were largely in the boondocks as well, but three Nike installations were spread along the densely populated Lake Michigan shoreline, from Jackson Park on the south side to Montrose Point on the north. In some cases rockets were housed only a few hundred yards from ranks of high-rise apartments.
Those were equipped with something other than conventional warheads. O.o

Gave you the wrong gouge. NOT Wilke Rd, but 1515 West Central. Bldg in the middle with two humps was the command bunker. Launch silo's were positioned to the east and west of the bunker in what is now a golf course. Link to map.
