NYC law firm rescinds job offers to Columbia, Harvard students over Israel letters
[NYPOST] A prestigious Big Apple law firm has revoked job offers to three students at Harvard and Columbia universities after the Ivy League students signed controversial letters supporting the Paleostinians in the wake of Hamas

’ deadly slaughter in Israel.

Davis Polk & Wardwell alerted staffers on Tuesday that it had rescinded the offers because the prospective employees held leadership positions within the student organizations that issued last week’s statements blaming Israel for the attacks.

"These statements are simply contrary to our firm’s values and we thus concluded that rescinding these offers was appropriate in upholding our responsibility to provide a safe and inclusive work environment for all Davis Polk employees," Davis Polk managing partner Neil Barr said in the email.

A spokesperson for the firm declined to identify the students.

Two of the Columbia students held leadership roles in groups that signed onto a letter released by the Ivy League’s Paleostine Solidarity Groups, the New York Times

Rev. Johnnie Green, president of Mobilizing Preachers and Communities, representing 300 houses of worship in the region, sent a letter urging Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani to sever ties with the DSA for organizing rallies where protesters cheered Hamas’ slaughter of Jews.

Mamdani, who represents Astoria and western Queens, has also participated in pro-Palestinian rallies following Hamas’ sneak attack on Israel, killing more than 1,400 Israelis and taking nearly 200 others as hostages.

“This is a moment to consider what is right — when being an elected official requires courage — that we hope you will leave the DSA. Like you, the DSA stood by while its membership made incendiary and hateful remarks. The day after a terror attack, the DSA promoted a hate-filled rally, where people were photographed displaying swastikas,” Green said in a letter to the lawmaker.

Green noted that other progressive politicians, such as city Comptroller Brad Lander, condemned Hamas’ murder and kidnapping of Israelis as “abominable” and said there was “no place for glorifying terror.”

The preacher said DSA only issued a “tepid apology” following national outrage about the hate-spewing rallies. The left-wing group did not condemn Hamas.

Europe
'Revenge of reality': it’s dangerous to be a European
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by David Narmania

[RIA] In Brussels, Swedes were urged “not to flaunt that they are Swedes.” And they advised them to fold the flags and remove other signs by which their nationality could be determined. This is understandable - the Belgian police and intelligence services went all out on Monday, so no one can guarantee the safety of the guests.

Let us remind you: in the evening during a national football match, a native of Tunisia shot two Swedish fans and wounded a woman. After that, without hesitation, he continued to drive around Brussels at night. It was only possible to neutralize him the next morning in one of the capital’s cafes. Probably at that moment he was having breakfast with local waffles, amazed at his own impunity.

In Brussels, a man began shooting at people before a football match between the national teams of Belgium and Sweden.

And then the press spoke. And it turned out: the police had had information for several years that the illegal immigrant held radical views and even wanted to go to a hot spot. They also knew that the attacker was transporting refugees into the country. But they didn't do anything.

To an impressionable reader, against the backdrop of a series of sad news about conflicts and terrorist attacks occurring in recent years, it may seem that something is wrong with the world. On the contrary, the world works according to the same laws that determined the course of events before.

It is inhumane to justify the terrorist attack in Brussels, but to believe that it happened on its own and did not become a logical result of the policies of Western countries is unacceptable naivety. And we're not just talking about police punctures. The problems lie much deeper.
Belgian police outside a cordoned off area near the place where an alleged

It seems that it is no coincidence that it was Swedish citizens who became victims of the terrorist : Stockholm supported Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip and zealously defends the right to burn the Koran to anyone who pleases. In this regard, a logical question arises: is it worth sacrificing the safety of one’s own citizens in the name of freedom to violate the faith of others?

And the position of the Swedish leadership on this issue reflects the ocean of problems of the global West like a drop of water. Europe is teeming with Islamist radicals of all stripes: such is the painful legacy of colonialism and the Arab Spring.
I would say it’s the painful legacy of Chancellor Angela Merkel declaring Germany open to refugees from Syria, and eventually anyone else who came and claimed to be fleeing something awful, but go on...
The latter, to put it in the simplest possible terms, was presented as an attempt to make the Middle East something similar to Europe. Of course, this was just a “marketing ploy” to protect the interests of the Western architects of these unrest, but all this turned out to be a diametrically opposite result - Europe itself began to resemble the Middle East. And this is by no means why he is usually loved.

In the liberal glass castle built after the victory in the Cold War, the West began to throw stones. Confidence in his own superiority played a cruel joke on him.

The West began to build the world on principles that it itself did not believe in, but which became a convenient tool for manipulation. Where necessary, they will help the “rebels,” and where necessary, they will fight the “terrorists.” Where necessary, they will condemn “war criminals,” and where necessary, they will support “self-defense.” Where necessary, they will support the “sovereign choice of the people,” and where necessary, they will brand “separatists.” And further down the list.

Now you have to pay for it. Some of the states that suffered from this policy have grown stronger and are challenging the West. But this is an external rival - at least it’s clear how to fight it. But neither Europe nor the United States knows how to fight the internal enemy - the radicals who have already become part of the West, whose peoples have felt all the delights of the “end of history”. The example of Sweden is indicative in this case. A world is coming in which it is dangerous to be European.

Terrorist attacks in Europe. The killers were in the field of view of the special services, but this did not help
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
Oleg Krivoshapov

[REGNUM] “All European countries are under threat. We see the return of Islamist terrorism, and everyone could be under attack,” French President Emmanuel Macron said on October 17.

The reason for the disappointing conclusion was two recent incidents.

The first occurred on October 13, when a young man shouted “Allahu Akbar!” stormed a school in the city of Arras in northern France, killing a teacher and wounding several people.
That would be Mohamad Mogushkov, 19 or 20, a Russian refugee of Chechen or Ingush origin...
The second case received a pan-European resonance. On October 16, in the capital of united Europe, Brussels, where the central bodies of the European Union and NATO headquarters are located, a terrorist shot two Swedish citizens and wounded four more people.

The Brussels shooter was identified as a 45-year-old Tunisian. Abdesalem Lassoued
...illegal alien, resident of Schaerbeek, claimed ISIS membership, petty criminal record back home, originally claimed to be named Slayem Slouma...
arrived in the EU from his native country in 2011, was previously known to the Belgian intelligence services for his radical views and appeared in the relevant database of the Belgian competent authorities.

The attack took place on Ypres Boulevard, in an area close to the historical center of the “common European capital”, but at the same time in a place densely populated by a large number of migrants. Note that the terrorist did not try to be invisible - he was wearing a reflective vest, and fled the crime scene on a scooter.

Before the attack, the terrorist, who claimed to belong to the Islamic State (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation), published a video on social networks promising “revenge on the Swedes.” Which he did, attacking two fans who arrived in Brussels for the Belgium-Sweden football match. The criminal identified the victims by wearing Swedish national colors: yellow T-shirts and blue trousers.

At the end of June, we recall, with the permission of the Swedish police, an immigrant from Iraq, Salvan Momika, held an “action” in Stockholm with the burning of the Koran. The vandal committed acts blasphemous from the point of view of Islam on one of the main religious holidays of Muslims - Eid al-Adha (Eid al-Adha) - which caused the expected outrage in the Islamic world and Muslim communities in Europe. Subsequently, rallies during which the Koran was burned took place more than once in Sweden and Denmark - the last time such an incident took place at the end of September.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said that the perpetrator of the current terrorist attack in Brussels had previously been in Sweden, but was not known to the police. The man later tried to obtain a residence permit in Belgium, but was refused, Kristersson said.

However, the Swedish Security Police (SEPO) stated that after the death of the country's citizens in Brussels, it was decided not to increase the level of terrorist threat. In the Belgian capital itself, a maximum level threat has been declared (the same as was declared in Paris after the attack on a school in Arras). Prime Minister Alexander de Croo called on citizens to be vigilant.

Belgian police immediately after the incident (and even before it was announced that the attacker had been killed) hastened to declare that they had found no connection between the terrorist attack and the Palestinian-Israeli war.

However, both the attack in Arras and the shooting in Brussels occurred against the backdrop of mass unrest, the reason for which was precisely the events in the Middle East - the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which has already led to the death of thousands of Israelis and Palestinians. The sad list is growing daily and has contributed to a sharp rise in anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic sentiment in Europe.

Paris and other major French cities have been gripped by massive unsanctioned protests in recent days accusing Macron of “aiding Israel” - often accompanied by scuffles with police and gendarmes. A campaign under the slogan “We are all Palestinians!” was supported by leftists and trade union activists, but the backbone of the mass protests were the descendants of immigrants from North Africa.

And against the backdrop of these dramatic events, one of the North African “guests” in neighboring Belgium, having obtained a machine gun, shot, as local authorities believe, two Swedish fans. Moreover, his act, according to the official version of Brussels officials, is in no way connected with the death of thousands of Palestinians, with whom immigrants from North Africa share ethnic kinship and (mainly) adherence to the same religion.

EUROPE'S CLASH WITH THE “NOMADS”
However, Vladislav Belov, deputy director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences for scientific work , discussing the personality of the Brussels killer and his motives, draws attention to the lack of reliable evidence indicating his involvement in certain organizations. Most likely, the killer was a loner, Belov tells IA Regnum.

“In his head there is a trail of all events, including the latest ones. The Swedes appeared and burned the Koran - “the Swedes are enemies.” In my opinion, this is the main version. Everything else can be “hung”, and all versions will have a basis, but without evidence ”

French political scientist of Russian origin Dmitry Koshko notes that European law enforcement officers took into account the bitter experience of high-profile terrorist attacks of past years. In France, certain individuals suspected of adherence to radical views are being checked. However, the special lists also include people who sympathize with Russia, and in essence it turns out to be a mishmash.

Among the practical innovations: on the streets of Nice, for example, concrete structures were installed in some places to interfere with the movement of cars. In addition, both France and, to a lesser extent, Belgium have implemented a special “Vigipirate” plan, in which people are checked at the entrance to buildings, as is done in many other countries.

The expert points out that the teacher who died on October 13 in France was killed by a member of a family of refugees who came from the North Caucasus: “They were called “freedom fighters” when they fought against the Russian armed forces. This is already the second generation. They grew up and became Islamists. And now in the European media they are called “Russians”. That is, the teacher’s killer is called Russian.”

At the same time, the criminal had problems with the law quite a long time ago, but only 11 days before the murder he was put on a special register, the expert says. In fact, he was protected by political correctness organizations that protect all migrants and complicate the investigation of cases and the tracking of suspicious persons.

Let us remind you: the alleged “Brussels” killer was also in the field of view of law enforcement agencies even before the terrorist attack took place.

Events similar to what happened in Brussels cannot be ruled out in the future, Vladislav Belov concludes: “There are many such people in Europe; it has found itself under pressure from the masses of “nomads.” Back in 2015, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who set the tone in the discussion of mass migration, chose the formula “let’s let it in, and then we’ll decide.” The integration of those “let in” revealed a clash of cultures, and so far there is no solution to the problem in sight, the expert notes.

Preventive anti-terrorist measures are needed, although they will not give Europe a 100% guarantee. Moreover, without interaction with Russia, the expert points out: “Until 2022, there was clear interaction between the anti-terrorist organizations of Russia and Europe, and it was carried out not only through Interpol. Perhaps it has been preserved. There is no open information."

ARE THERE THREATS IN RUSSIA
Only the conscientious work of the special services can protect today's Russia from terrorist threats, reserve lieutenant colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Oleg Ivannikov is convinced . “Compliance with official duties in full will minimize the risks of terrorist attacks. At the same time, it is not only the security forces who need to deal with the problem of public safety. Heads of regions must formulate a law enforcement agenda and personnel policy in this area in their regions.”

In turn, the President of the Association of Veterans of the Alpha anti-terror unit Sergei Goncharov, discussing terrorist risks in Russia, emphasizes that the basis of security in the country is domestic and foreign policy. In particular, Russia’s neutral position in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict protects it from unnecessary risks.

Goncharov also considers it incorrect to compare the work of Russian intelligence services with the practice adopted in Europe, including France. The influx of migrants that have flooded European countries is largely poorly controlled. The intelligence services of these countries cannot cope and do not know how many people have arrived and how many have left. In Sweden, according to official data alone, 27 thousand migrants who were refused a residence permit in Sweden have not yet been deported.

IA Regnum’s interlocutor cites the “Belgian shooter” as an example of the not very professional work of the intelligence services. He submitted an application for asylum in 2019, which was considered for almost a year, and was ultimately refused. But, nevertheless, he was not expelled from the country; he remained in Belgium without any problems.

“As for Russia, we also have a large immigration flow,” says Goncharov. “ But today we are coping, although there are problems, no one denies them. Records are kept, and those who violate the law are expelled.”

At the same time, experts agree that completely ignoring terrorist risks in Russia is short-sighted. And it’s not just the activity of Ukrainian military intelligence, which, being supervised and directed by Western intelligence services, is behind several attempts on the lives of public figures in Russia.

“Both in Europe and here, unfortunately, there is an opportunity to illegally purchase firearms,” says Goncharov. — The global arms black market is flooded with supplies from Ukraine, and Russia is no exception. The President spoke about this the other day. The weapons that bandits buy in Russia initially come from Ukraine . ”

Thus, the successful completion of the special operation currently being carried out by Russia is also necessary in the sense of eliminating another threat emanating from today’s Ukraine - its saturation of the “black market” of weapons.

There is another problem recognized by both experts and officials: the lack of personnel in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the moment, according to the head of the department’s financial and economic department, Irina Kalbfleisch, there are a shortage of 100 thousand people.

At the same time, the measures taken by Russian law enforcement agencies to ensure security can be called serious and have proven their effectiveness. For example, anyone who wishes to infiltrate a school must not only be a child, but also be enrolled in that educational institution. Backpacks or luggage in the metro (it doesn’t matter - in Moscow or, for example, in Kazan) are scanned in front of the turnstiles. At the entrance to any more or less large shopping center, not to mention train stations and airports, there are metal detectors. Surveillance cameras are used everywhere and everywhere. Various trainings and activities on terrorism prevention are carried out.

And yet, every time a new tragedy occurs somewhere (even on another continent) with the death of innocent people, many people have a question: are I and my loved ones protected enough? And there is probably still no clear answer to this question.
There is no perfect protection. There is only hardening soft targets, and teaching to be a pack, not a herd.
SAD STATISTICS
Terrorism in Europe in the 21st century has become a serious threat. Thus, in 2022, according to Europol, 28 completed, failed or prevented attacks were recorded in the EU. There were 16 attacks, and four people tragically died: two as a result of jihadist attacks, two more at the hands of right-wing extremists.

At the same time, the EU views jihadist terrorism as the most serious threat: of the 380 people arrested in EU countries in 2022 for terrorist acts, 266 were “captured” precisely as jihadists.

The majority of attacks carried out in 2022 were carried out by lone terrorists. And the bloodiest terrorist attacks committed in Europe since the beginning of the 21st century were the 2004 explosions in Madrid ; a series of bombings in London in July 2005; the Oslo government quarter bombing and shooting on the island of Utøya in Norway in 2011; a series of seven attacks in Paris in 2015 and a truck attack on a crowd in Nice in July 2016.

$6B Prisoner Swap Was ‘Just a Drop in the Bucket' for Iran. Here's How Much Tehran Has Raked in Under Biden.
[DailySignal] Republicans have castigated President Joe Biden’s administration for freeing up $6 billion in funds for Iran’s Islamist regime, money that likely contributed to Tehran’s funding of Hamas, the genocidal terrorist group that slaughtered more than 1,400 Israelis and took about 200 hostage Oct. 7.

Yet the Biden administration’s policies freed up far more than $6 billion for Iran.

“It’s a drop in the bucket,” Robert Greenway, director of The Heritage Foundation’s Center for National Defense, told The Daily Signal in an interview Wednesday. (The Daily Signal is Heritage’s news outlet.)

Greenway led a team to plan and execute the most significant U.S. economic sanctions against Iran. He served as a principal architect of the Abraham Accords, working as deputy assistant to President Donald Trump and senior director of the National Security Council’s Middle East and North African Affairs Directorate.

Referring to Iran, Greenway described the released $6 billion as “a fraction of the overall revenue that the Biden administration consciously has allowed them to have.”

He said Biden’s policies, by relaxing Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign and signaling his willingness to strike a new nuclear deal with Iran, has emboldened Tehran and signaled other countries in the region that they should work with Iran.

“We’re encouraging everyone else to do this. Everybody in the region is paying Iran not to attack them,” Greenway warned.

He urged that the U.S. stop paying Hamas through funds ostensibly for Palestinian aid.

“This is extortion. I pay so Gaza won’t attack again,” Greenway said. “We should stop writing checks.”

While Greenway acknowledged Biden’s strong rhetoric in support of Israel, he said Americans and Israelis should see through that facade.

“I literally paid the people who attacked you,” Greenway said, speaking as though he were Biden. “No one should be defending this. No one in Israel can think that Biden is their friend.”

According to The Daily Signal’s calculations, Iran has received approximately $70 billion more under Biden than it would have under Trump.

Biden repeatedly has said that there is no “specific evidence” showing that Tehran had any involvement in the Hamas terrorist attack, but Iran has funded Hamas for years.

Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad told the BBC that Iran gave the green light for the attack. The Wall Street Journal reported that “senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah” confirmed that “Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had worked with Hamas since August to devise the air, land, and sea incursions.”

Furthermore, Greenway and another Heritage Foundation national security expert, Victoria Coates, wrote: “Absent significant training, equipment, and intelligence capabilities supplied by Iran, Hamas would never have been able to have carried out such an operation.”

The $6 billion figure traces back to 2018, when the Trump administration granted a waiver to South Korea, among other nations, to continue buying Iranian oil after the U.S. left the 2015 nuclear deal.

The Trump administration canceled these exemptions in 2019, diverting payments for already-delivered oil into escrow accounts. Biden agreed to release the $6 billion South Korea owes Iran as part of a prisoner exchange in August.

The Biden administration has insisted that the $6 billion would fund only humanitarian projects, but money is fungible. Even if that money would support only infrastructure, health care, or education, it would free up funds for Tehran to send money to Hamas. Even if none of that money had been spent before Oct. 7, as the Biden administration has insisted, Tehran may have spent money elsewhere, expecting those funds to materialize.

Perhaps in response to criticism regarding the unfrozen funds, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo told House Democrats that the U.S. and Qatar agreed to prevent Iran from accessing the $6 billion. It remains unclear whether any of that money had made it back to Tehran, but Secretary of State Antony Blinken said none had.

Even if Tehran doesn’t receive a penny from South Korea, the Biden administration has allowed more funds to flow to Iran from other sources.

Subsequent headings:
  • $10 Billion From Iraq

  • $52.2 Billion in Extra Oil Revenues

  • $3.8 Billion in Petrochemicals

  • $1.6 Billion in Steel

  • $3.42 Billion in Special Drawing Rights

Ivy League among top recipients of $8.5 billion Arab funding
Of course. How else to guarantee places for their precious sons (and daughters)
[CampusReform] Last week, former Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal called Muslims all over the world to protest in support of Palestine as recognition of a global "Day of Jihad" on Oct. 13, and for Muslims in neighboring countries to join the war against Israel.

"Tribes of Jordan, sons of Jordan, brothers and sisters of Jordan... This is a moment of truth and the borders are close to you, you all know your responsibility," said Meshall. The statement was issued from Qatar—which turns out to be the largest Arab nation investor in American universities.

Qatar has given American universities $4.3 billion over 35 years, according to a 2021 report by Executive Director of the American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise Dr. Mitchell Bard.

"Between 1986 and 2021, colleges and universities received nearly $8.5 billion from Arab sources," the report states.

Veteran State Department official Josh Paul QUITS agency after Biden backs America sending military assistance to Israel amid war with Hamas
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Josh Paul, who worked in the State's bureau overseeing arms transfers for more than a decade, resigned over Biden's 'continued lethal assistance to Israel'

  • His resignation came after President Joe Biden's visit to Israel, during which he pledged a substantial $100 billion aid package in support of Israel and Ukraine

  • He argued the blind support for one side in the conflict would harm the interests of both parties and cited a history of repeating mistakes in this regard

  • He emphasized he believed the recent terrorist attack in Israel, which claimed the lives of over 1,400 innocent people, was a heinous act

Jordan’s King Abdullah II: Palestinian refugees entering Jordan or Egypt is ‘red line’
[IsraelTimes] Jordanian King Abdullah II says that neither his country nor Egypt will accept Paleostinian refugees, declaring it a "red line."

At a presser held after meeting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, Abdullah says that "some of the usual suspects are trying to create facts on the ground," according to Sky News Arabia.

"There will be no refugees in Jordan and no refugees in Egypt."

Abdullah references Israeli calls for Gazooks to evacuate toward the south of the Strip, near the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, ahead of an expected IDF ground offensive in the north.

Strip.

In the 252nd Sinai Reserve Division, some 120 percent of reservists have shown up for duty according to the IDF, meaning many troops have arrived at the army’s assembly areas even without receiving a formal order.

The IDF has mobilized more than 300,000 troops in recent days, many of them being deployed to the Gaza border, as the army readies for a "coordinated attack from the air, sea and land."

The military says that following a major logistical effort to provide the ground forces with all the equipment they would need, "IDF forces are preparing to implement a wide range of offensive plans."

In a video statement, the commander of the 252nd Division, Brig. Gen. Moran Omer, says his soldiers are readying themselves for "the next stages."

"The division’s units have been in combat for the past week, and these days are training for the next stages. I am confident that the reserve troops, like the standing army soldiers, together, will beat Hamas

Israel maintained that it would not provide the aid directly from its own territory until Hamas released dozens of hostages taken during a major attack on October 7, which subsequently escalated into full-scale conflict.

The Israeli statement highlighted the demand for Red Thingy visits with the captives and sought broad international support for this requirement.

Gaza has been under a severe Israeli-led blockade since Hamas took control in 2007, resulting in shortages of essential supplies like water, fuel, and food. The situation further deteriorated after Israel sealed off the territory following the October 7 attack.

Israel has since retaliated by bombing Gaza, and an estimated 1,400 Israelis and 3,500 Paleostinians have been killed so far.

[IsraelTimes] US President Joe Biden tells reporters aboard Air Force One on his way back from Israel that during his call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, the latter agreed to open up the Rafah Crossing between Egypt and Gaza and to let “up to” 20 trucks of humanitarian assistance in.

Biden clarifies that people will not be able to evacuate Gaza through Rafah, apparently in order to assuage fears in Cairo that Egypt will be asked to take in refugees from Gaza.

The UN earlier today said that roughly 100 trucks of aid per day will be needed to rehabilitate Gaza following the Israeli counter-attacks.

Rafah has largely been closed since the war began on October 7.

Palestinian group accused of harboring terrorists received $1B from Biden admin: report
[FoxNews] Report reveals 100 pages of evidence that UNRWA schools taught hate toward Jewish people, glorified terrorism.

The Biden administration has sent more than $1 billion in taxpayer dollars to a Palestinian relief organization that has previously been accused of providing safe harbor to terrorists in Gaza, drawing increased scrutiny amid Hamas' attacks on Israel.

In a report exclusively obtained by FOX Business, watchdog OpenTheBooks.com found that the taxpayer money was sent to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), whose schools were accused in a recent report of being complicit in teaching children to hate Jewish people and praising terrorism.

Critics and watchdog groups also say UNRWA resources may help Hamas with recruitment and storage for weapons, along with other support.

According to the UNRWA's website, the group works with Palestinians doing "human development and humanitarian services, encompass primary and vocational education, primary health care, relief and social services, infrastructure and camp improvement, microfinance and emergency response, including in situations of armed conflict."

However, U.N. Watch and IMPACT released a report in March, uncovering 100 pages of evidence that schools built and run by the UNRWA taught hate toward the Jewish people and glorified terrorism.

The UNRWA Islamic education exam asks students whether "Liberating the Al-Aqsa Mosque and making sacrifices for it is an obligation for all Muslims" is true or false. The exam cited the statement as true and noted that violence and martyrdom to free Al-Aqsa are obligations for Palestinians and "all Muslims."

In 2014, the left-leaning New Republic described UNRWA as "effectively a branch of Hamas."

UNRWA acknowledged in 2014, and condemned, Hamas missiles that were found at one of its schools in Gaza twice in one week.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., said in a GOP conference meeting Tuesday that the Biden administration "knew that sending U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Palestinians could bolster Hamas" after learning that President Biden's trip to Israel was intentionally unannounced until Secretary of State Antony Blinken received assurances from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the humanitarian aid package for "Palestine."

While former President Donald Trump cut funding almost entirely to the UNRWA in 2018, OpenTheBooks.com noted that Biden reinstated the flow of taxpayer dollars to Gaza and the West Bank in April 2021, a few months after he took office.

Auditors found that $260 million more has been requested in the administration’s fiscal year 2024 budget. However, it has not yet been approved by Congress.

"I'll be introducing legislation to halt all funding for them until Iran is expelled from the U.N. and investigated for violations," Blackburn said.

A State Department spokesperson told FOX Business in a statement that it "has stringent policies and procedures in place to uphold neutrality and to prevent UNRWA funds and programs from benefiting terrorists."

The spokesperson went on to say that they complete background checks on potential employees, regularly check staff and beneficiary names against known terrorist entities on the U.N. sanctions lists, and share staff lists with host governments, including Israel. UNRWA staff are prohibited from political activities.

A senior State Department official said in a 2021 background call that Palestinians using U.S. aid to restock Hamas' arsenal is possible, stating that there are "no guarantees, but we're going to do everything that we can to ensure that this assistance reaches the people who need it most."

A March 2021 internal State Department document that was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon this year and verified by FOX Business shows officials privately communicating their concerns that a Biden administration plan to unfreeze more than $360 million in U.S. funds for the Palestinian Authority could risk benefiting terror groups, a trade-off that the officials argued was necessary for national security.

Despite those concerns, the Biden administration went on to pump hundreds of millions into UNRWA and said in a White House press release last year that a $201 million contribution "cements the United States’ status as UNRWA’s largest donor."

Fox News Digital recently reported that the Biden administration also sent $33.7 million from the American Rescue Plan, a spending bill meant to combat COVID, to UNRWA. The relief bill was pushed through Congress with unanimous support from Democrats in the Senate and almost unanimous support in the House.

During a ministerial-level meeting on UNRWA last month, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield touted the $1 billion figure, saying "the Biden administration has contributed nearly $1 billion since 2021."

"I encourage other member states to step up and make the financial commitments needed to fund UNRWA through the end of the year," Thomas-Greenfield said. "Colleagues, the United States appreciates efforts to explore concrete options that will set UNRWA on a more sustainable funding path. I want to stress that these conversations must include hosts, donors and refugees."

Professor Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust, recently slammed UNRWA while speaking with Fox News Digital.

"Facilities of UNRWA, the U.N. Palestinian refugee agency, have been repeatedly used by Hamas Palestinian terrorists for military purposes as staging grounds, weapons depots and hideouts," she said.

"They have also been used as shields, giving cover to nearby military assets. UNRWA officials have had all kinds of inappropriate relationships with Hamas itself. Whenever these facts — war crimes — are revealed, the U.N. does a quick ‘investigation,’ sometimes accompanied by a meaningless expression of regret, and carries on," added Bayefsky, who is also president of Human Rights Voices.

"The fallout from their past behavior is that it is impossible and unwise to take them at their word or to assume they are a neutral party, instead of serving as an enabler of Palestinian terrorism, today."

UNRWA and the White House did not respond to multiple FOX Business requests for comment.

Sign of the times? America begins prepping for major attack on capital - by simulating incoming missiles and hijacked airplanes
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] America has begun preparing for a major attack on the nation's capital - by simulating incoming missiles and hijacked airplanes.
Prepping — everyone is doing it nowadays.
US defense contractor Northrop Grumman announced the successful test of its Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) this month.

The Beltway-area around Washington DC, known by defense personnel as the 'National Capital Region,' was successfully defended against 'simulated cruise missiles and 'compromised aircraft,' the company said.

The tests come amid rising tensions worldwide, with the US amassing a war machine in the MidEast in a clear message to Iran to stay on the sidelines as Israel prepares to launch a ground invasion into Gaza.

Earlier this month, in Eastern Europe, a Russian rocket killed more than 50 Ukrainians after in a crowded village café and grocery store in the nation's eastern region of Kharkiv - one of the deadliest strikes targeting civilians since the war began.

The recent demonstrations, however, were described as part of an 'evolution of technical capabilities for the system,' with little sign that the preplanned exercise related to these exploding global conflicts.

#1  "War is Our Business, and Business is Good".

Nothing sells better to the elites who infest Washington than anything that protects them from danger.

Protecting US,the American people, from invasion across the non-existent border, national bankruptcy from profligate spending, the massive decline in our middle class, crime, homelessness, drugs, de-industrialization, inflation, billions to our enemies, meaningless wars, moronic foreign policies, racial discord....not so much!

#2  Meanwhile, Hamas storms the US Capital.

That's the correct word, right? Storms.

British Foreign Office called on citizens of the country to leave Lebanon
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The British Foreign Office appealed to citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon, as well as to leave the territory of the republic of British citizens currently staying there.

“We do not recommend that you visit any of Lebanon. If you are currently in Lebanon, we urge you to leave while commercial options remain available,” the Foreign Office said in a statement published on October 18 on the UK government’s official website.

As Regnum reported , on Wednesday the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched strikes at targets of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in Lebanon. The Israeli military said in a statement that the targets of the attack were the group's observation post and military infrastructure.

Shortly before this, the Israel Defense Forces reported attacks on the city of Metula with anti-tank missiles from Lebanon. The attack injured two Israeli soldiers and one civilian.

On October 15, IDF spokesman Brigadier General Daniel Hagari said that Israeli troops would operate anywhere in the Middle East to ensure the security of their country.
