Two Libyan boys were killed after a landmine exploded in Al-Talhaya area of Benghazi on Thursday, according to Al-Hadath TV.
The two Libyan brothers, Youssef Al-Jazoi (10 years) and Abdul-Rahman (7 years), were immediately transferred to the Al-Jalaa Hospital in Benghazi, but they were dead upon arrival, a local medical source added.
The source claimed that the accident occurred as a result of the explosion of a landmine planted by the terrorist group,”Benghazi Shura Council,” years ago during its operations against the Libyan National Army (LNA).
The LNA managed to expel the terrorists from the eastern region and pursue their remnants.

Residents of the area said the sounds of the weapons the attackers came with frightened them as they ran into bushes out of fear of being hurt by stray bullets and weapons.
A resident of the area who doesn't want to be mentioned said, “These guys are mean. On arrival, they blocked the roads, threw their dynamite into the police station and equally opened fire. They now waited to attack officers who ran out for safety.
“Unfortunately, two police constabularies by name Ifeanyi and Iyke were killed.

Contrary to what some outside the state might imagine, not everyone in Florida thinks Disney is a net plus here. The notion that whatever the mouse wants is fine with all Floridians is probably not particularly accurate.

[IsraelTimes] A 35-year-old Israeli man was lightly hurt when out jogging on Saturday morning in a stabbing attack on Jerusalem’s Hebron Road, near the Cinematheque and the First Station restaurant and shopping area, police and medics said.
According to Israel Police, the assailant stabbed the jogger at the intersection of David Remez Street and Hebron Road, south of the Old City. The jogger struggled with his attacker and fought him off, sustaining light injuries.
The 28-year-old Paleostinian assailant, from the adjacent neighborhood of Abu Tor, was shot by coppers. According to the Magen David Adom emergency service, the suspect was at death's door.
Magen David Adom medics said they found the Israeli man sitting on the sidewalk, fully conscious.
Both the stabbing victim and the suspect were taken by medics to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
The attack and the moment the assailant was shot were filmed from several angles. The assailant is seen pulling out a knife and attacking a man who is running across the street. They tussle, and the jogger manages to repeatedly fend off his attacker, who continues the attack until a passerby arrives. At one point the victim manages to throw the knife away, which a passerby then picks up, as the victim flees.
The suspect is then seen stumbling and dropping to his knees as a passerby pushes him to the ground. Shortly after, the suspect is seen walking toward officers, as one fires a single shot. The suspect then falls to the ground, as the officer who opened fire tells his colleagues to "cease." Or, more clearly: "head shot"
[Rudaw] The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the internal security forces (Asayish) have arrested several Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) suspects and affiliates in a large-scale ongoing military operation in al-Hol camp in northeast Syria (Rojava), a conflict monitor reported on Saturday.
The security forces have arrested several ISIS-affiliated men of different nationalities on Friday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said, as the operation entered its fourth day.
SOHR did not disclose the exact number of those detained.
The SDF and Asayish launched a large-scale security operation at the camp after two ISIS-affiliated women beat feet from the fifth section of al-Hol on Wednesday as the escape alerted the forces.
The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested thousands of ISIS fighters and their wives and children when they took control of the group’s last stronghold in Syria in March 2019. Most of these people are held at al-Hol, which is home to more than 60,000 people - mostly women and kiddies of different nationalities.
Security forces arrested 14 Iraqis for committing violations at the camp in late November.
Al-Hol has been branded a breeding ground for terrorism, with human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... groups warning of squalid conditions at the camp.
There have been repeated calls from Kurdish and US officials asking the international community to repatriate their nationals from al-Hol, but only a few countries have responded positively as they are worried about security concerns.
Four Swedish nationals, including two children from ISIS families, were repatriated from the camp on Wednesday.
Areas controlled by #HTS in #Syria’s northwest witnessed a mount in the number of arrests against activists, journalists and civilians.https://t.co/GX5q9C022Z

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Areas run by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) in Idlib governorate and the countryside of Hama and Latakia have recently witnessed an increase in arrests against journalists and civilians in a way similar to that of the Syrian government’s Shabiha (state sponsored militias) without clear charges and reasons for the arrest.
Many international and local organizations reported about the arrest of activists, media workers and residents by HTS for criticizing its policies and that of the Salvation Government (the civil wing of HTS).
Meanwhile, HTS continues to tighten the screw on residents of the areas it runs by threatening with arrest and terrifying them by force of arms urging some to say, “HTS and the regime are of the same coin.”
On March 8, The public security organ of HTS arrested the media activist Mohammed Sbeh along with his wife at a checkpoint in Sarmada town north of Idlib, northwest Syria.
HTS members stormed his house, confiscated all his media equipment and his mobile phone, and arrested his wife, who was released hours later, local sources told North Press then.
HTS follows a gang- style policy in arresting the residents and activists not showing legal arrest warrants.
HTS arrested 13 civilians and journalists during the past two months, according to human rights activists.
Earlier in March, the HTS arrested the media activists Ghayath Bakir from his house in Binnish city north of Idlib on the back of a post on Facebook calling for starting new frontlines to restore areas that government has seized recently.

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Two soldiers of the Syrian government forces were killed and two others were wounded on Saturday as an IED exploded in their vehicle in the eastern countryside of Homs, central Syria.
“An IED exploded in a military vehicle that was driving some soldiers of the 11th Infantry Division near the 55-km de-confliction zone, which is adjacent to the US-led Global Coalition’s al-Tanf US military base,” a military source of the Fourth Armored Division said.
The soldiers were combing the border areas with the coalition’s base in the Syrian desert at the time of the explosion.
The dead soldiers, who were a staff sergeant and a petty officer, were sitting in the first row while the injured soldiers, who had shrapnel, were in the back, the source added.
The Syrian desert and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor constitute source of concern for the Iranian-backed militias and the government forces. Sleeper cells of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) occasionally carry out operations against them causing multiple losses despite heavy security campaigns and combing operation.
On March 16, two Syrian government soldiers were killed in an IED explosion that targeted their car in al-Asharah town, 55 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor.

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A video clip circulated by activists on social media on Saturday shows members of the Public Security Service of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) in one of the main squares in the city of Sarmada, north of Idlib, saying, “We are coming, Damascus, we are coming, Aleppo.”
This came after HTS graduated dozens of groups from military and Sharia courses, some of which were attended by the leader of the organization, Abu Muhammad al-Julani.
“Our goal is not to pave a road or open a road, but rather our eyes are on Aleppo and Damascus and the liberation of all of Syria,” al-Julani said in January in a speech during the opening of the Aleppo-Bab al-Hawa road that connects the cities of Dana and Sarmada.
However, his statements aroused the ridicule of the residents at that time, as they believed that, instead of liberating Damascus, al-Julani had first to return thousands of civilians to their villages and towns, which government forces controlled without fighting or battles at the end of 2019, especially in the northern Hama and southern Idlib countryside.
“The priorities of HTS are not to confront the regime, but to work to open new fronts and restore the areas it lost,” al-Julani said in July.
Tahrir al-Sham, which first appeared in Syria at the end of 2012, controls the Idlib region and parts of the countryside of Aleppo, after expelling other Turkish-backed opposition factions.
