[MSN] Despite Michigan's deadline today for Enbridge to shut down Line 5, the Calgary-based company's pipeline continues to operate amid a dispute involving governments on both sides of the border.
An Enbridge spokesperson confirmed operations Wednesday have not been impacted.
Line 5 goes through the Straits of Mackinac, which separate Lakes Michigan and Huron. The nearly seven-decade-old pipeline carries petroleum from Western Canada through Wisconsin and Michigan, and ends at refineries in Sarnia, Ont.
Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley said he's while he was confident that the pipeline wouldn't be shut down on Wednesday amid mediation efforts, he's concerned the issue may be hanging over his region for months or years.
Bradley, who joined CBC Radio's Windsor Morning on Wednesday, said a closure of the pipeline would result in thousands of job losses and have other repercussions, including increased costs for energy. The pipeline helps deliver nearly half of the supply of light crude oil, light synthetic crude oil and natural gas liquids in Ontario and Quebec.
"It's not just Sarnia. It's a catastrophe here because of the jobs that would be impacted, but it ripples," said Bradley.
If the continued operation of Line 5 isn't upheld through the court process, Bradley says he'll call on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ...hereditary prime minister of the Great White North... to appeal to U.S. President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?... directly.

Whitmer's near-total ignorance (more like callous disregard
I have heard this expressed as "F*ck the Canadians" by pipeline opponents. But it is also *bleep* the Upper Peninsula too, since Line 5 is where most of their propane comes from.
Something I have not seen mentioned is that in 2018 Embridge began working with the State of Michigan to build a tunnel under the Straits to protect the pipeline from anchor strikes, one of the big enviro-weenie fears. That made Whitmer's unilateral move to cancel the pipeline lease a bit of a surprise.
[American Greatness] Maricopa County election officials tampered with election records just days before the equipment was delivered to the Arizona Senate for the 2020 election audit, according to the Senate Liaison for the Maricopa County 2020 Forensic Election Audit.
Before the machines were turned over, a directory full of election databases was deleted by an administrator, resulting in spoliation of evidence, the Maricopa County Audit’s official Twitter account alleged in a tweet late Wednesday.
State Senate President Karen Fann wrote a letter to Jack Sellers, the chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, demanding an explanation as to why the databases were deleted.
"We have recently discovered that the entire "Database" directory from the D drive of the machine "EMSPrimary" has been deleted," Fann wrote.

AZ 13-2809. Tampering with physical evidence
Tampering with Evidence is a felony.
Note: B. Inadmissibility of the evidence in question is not a defense.
But since this is regarding a Federal Vote Tampering, wouldn't this be a Federal Crime? USC 52-VOTING AND ELECTIONS
CHAPTER 103-ENFORCEMENT OF VOTING RIGHTS
Felony with up to 5 years per charge.
How many votes are we talking? 10,000+
Waiting breathlessly for the DOJ/FBI to make Arrests.

If the file was simply deleted and the media is still available, then it is likely recoverable. Which could be 'interesting'. If it was instead scrubbed (think Hillary/Bleachbit) it will not be recoverable, but that would be 'interesting' by itself.

If I understand it correctly they erased the theft so now that a count of the ballots will result in the true count and it won't match the one that was announced and everyone on the left will scratch their head at the discrepancy or claim the audit invented ballots or something to change the numbers.
But... it should be enough to push through voter ID and other laws in a large number of states.
[D. Stockman via ZH] There have been few politicians in modern times who have done more to undermine personal liberty, capitalist prosperity, small government and especially world peace than the Cheney Clan. So upon Liz Cheney’s ouster from the #3 job in the US House GOP hierarchy, we say: Good riddance!
And, no, we don’t begrudge her vote to impeach the Donald. The man is such an insufferable bully-boy and megalomaniac that upon his richly deserved exile from Washington her "yes" vote amounted to little more than a slightly offensive Bronx cheer. But what is profoundly offensive about the Cheneys is their central role in high-jacking the Republican Party in behalf of the demented worldview of a small priesthood of neocon intellectuals. The latter have turned the Warfare State of the now defunct cold war with the Soviet Union into a globe-spanning imperialist monster that has bled America dry fiscally and unleashed unjustified destruction and mayhem all around the planet in a manner that would have put even Imperial Rome to shame. Mr. Stockman’s resumé includes being a sometimes successful contrarian investor, supply sider, President Reagan’s OMB director, and since 2014 a contrarian blogger. Continued on Page 49

Still, contrary to neocon revisionism, the Reagan defense buildup did not cause the sudden collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991
Oh yes it did. The Soviet rulers tried to cope with SDI by their "one step backward, two steps forward" - which worked for them in the past*, and miscalculated the mood of their people.
*I haven't quite grasped why Americans believe(d?) they have to impose democracy/capitalism to achieve World-peace.

g(r)omgoru the modulation of the TransSiberian RR is left out of this argument.
Surges toward Vladivostok, Surges in Afghanistan and the SDI and the like totally caused the RR to cease being useful (it couldn't support military counter surges back and forth leaving no bandwidth for real product movement).

The author is wrong on just about everything, typical deep state wannabe rewriting history.
Reaganonomics brought the US out of an economic hell hole created by Carter and his success lasted through the Clinton years.
Reagans bold Military build up and his relationship with Gorbachev and Margaret Thatcher broke up the Soviet Union and the iron curtain resulting in the collapse of the Berlin Wall between East and West Germany.
His most important quote was that freedom lasts only one generation and it is up to the next generation to be willing to fight to hold on to it.
SDI empowered the arguments long made by those Soviets in the policy planning institutes that the USSR had fallen so far behind in semiconductor technology that the correlation of forces was irrevocably tilted against them.
They urged the Politburo to take radical steps to turn around the situation, and that's what caused them to gamble on a second-rate unknown hick politician called Gorbachev who promised "reform" -- changes that ultimately killed off first the Warsaw Pact and then Communist rule in the old USSR.
Note: French Pres. Mitterrand, as his advisor Jacques Attali records, was also terrified by the astonishing military-technological dominance that led Anglo-Saxons' SDI heralded.
In short, SDI more than any single factor caused the stunningly swift and bloodless implosion of the USSR.

No, the author is right. My dad was an SDI scientist; one of the men sent to visit the Soviet Union during the 80's as part of the scientific exchange Reagan set up. I remember what he said to me at the time. He liked the Russian scientists, but felt sorry for them because their tech was already twenty years behind the West's. "Great theoretical physicists. But they have nothing to work with." he told me.
Knowing what we know know, the Soviet Union had become a sleepy, economically uncompetitive backwater with nukes (always important I grant you) by the 80's. The hard men who fought the revolution were all dead, and the next generation didn't have the stones to slaughter Estonians in the streets when the moment came. Reagan may have shortened the Cold War by a decade. But the Soviet Union was going down regardless.

I like Stockman's last thought - the restoration of a conservative party free from the toxic influence of Washington’s neocon cabal, and therefore capable of re-engaging with its real mission in American democracy—that of bringing Leviathan to heel on both sides of the Potomac.
I'm pretty sure the leviathan he refers to the the bloated government.

[BREITBART] Sen. Ted Cruz; ...US Senator from Texas. Republican contender for president in 2016, his stiff and abrasive manner earned him the title most hated man in the Senate. After a close win over Beto O'Rourke, who tried to out-Latino him, he grew a beard and let his biting wit shine through. Cruz's comments have been known to leave life-threatening wounds at better than forty feet... (R-TX) told news hounds Wednesday that President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing... 's "policies are failing across the board economically, domestically, and abroad.""We've got a gas crisis playing out," Cruz began. "We've got a war in the Middle East. We may have an inflation crisis coming, I agree."
"Biden policies are failing across the board economically, domestically, and abroad. But that doesn't mitigate the disaster that's playing out on our southern border," he continued before noting the establishment media's bias of covering Biden's failures.
"But as it's getting worse and worse, the corporate media has stopped covering it. You turn on the six o'clock news and suddenly the Biden border crisis has disappeared," he said.
Cruz continued to highlight the Biden administration's handling of the border by giving a suggestion to the media.
"Any time you're standing in front of the president or vice president, the very first question should be: why haven't you gone to the southern border to see the crisis, to see the little boys and little girls being physically abused, sexually abused because of your policy failures?" Cruz explained.
"And by the way, the reason they don't go," Cruz said, exposing the administration, "There's an answer to this... they'll bring TV cameras. They know if they go, the press will be forced to cover it. Kamala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California, former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful, and now Joe Biden's wing nut. She's displaying her level of competence in her handling of the Biden Border Surge has been to the Canadian border as vice president, but not the southern border."
"The last I checked, we don't have a crisis of thousands of Canucks coming south across the [northern] border," Cruz concluded.
Breitbart News reported Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris has avoided visiting the southern border and holding a presser on the crisis for 44 days since assuming the role of border point person from Biden.
Moreover, since Friday, America has experienced a fossil fuel pipeline cyberattack, raising gas prices and a gas shortage, increased inflation, and Middle East destabilization by Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, rocket attacks.

[PIX11] New York City will continue to restrict use of plastic straws after the city council passed a new measure restricting their use in restaurants, bars and markets. Glad they're coping with this, the most important problem facing New York City.
The legislation, first introduced by Councilmember Rafael Espinal in 2018, bans the provision of single-use plastic stirrers and "splash sticks" of any kind, in addition to the limitation of straws.
Beginning Nov. 1, places like restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery stores, delis and food trucks can no longer provide single-use plastic straws unless they actively request one. In that case, establishments will be required to provide a plastic straw free of charge, no questions asked. To refuse to provide the plastic straw, or to ask why, could constitute a violation of New York City’s human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... law.
"When I originally introduced the bill, plastic waste was a growing problem that was leading our oceans to have more plastic than fish by 2050," said Espinal in a statement. "That reality has only been intensified by the pandemic and the lax regulations allowed for single use plastic. When we talk about building back our city it must include sensible green policy goals that will ensure we’re doing so consciously."
After the original bill was introduced, New York City’s disability community worked closely with environmentalists, the restaurant industry, and the City Council to ensure that the revised legislation passed today protects the civil rights of disabled people who need straws to eat and/or drink independently.

[CLARION.CAUSEACTION] Maricopa County deleted entire databases prior to turning over election equipment to the AZ Senate for the forensic audit now occurring. The Senate President Karen Fann today sent a letter to the County Election’s Board for an explanation.
Former Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne asked the following questions on his Telegram channel:
Maricopa County purposefully deleted a directory full of election databases related to the past 2020 election cycle ~10 days before the election equipment was delivered to the @arizonaaudit. This is destruction of evidence and at least, contempt.
Why did security seals arrive cut and why were they placed at the bottom of the boxes? Why were security ballot bags not used by the County?
Is this the Counties customary practice for storing ballots?
AZ Attorney General Mark Brnovich needs to get involved immediately. What is Maricopa County hiding? We need answers! @arizonaaudit
The AZ Senate letter demanded...
We have recently discovered that the entire "Database" directory from the D drive of the machine "EMSPrimary" has been deleted. This removes election related details that appear to have been covered by the subpoena. In addition, the main database for the Election Management System (EMS) Software, "Results Tally and Reporting," is not located anywhere on the EMSPrimary machine, even though all of the EMS Clients reference that machine as the location of the database. This suggests that the main database for all election-related data for the November 2020 General Election has been removed. Can you please advise as to why these folders were deleted, and whether there are any backups that may contain the deleted folders?
[BREITBART] President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run.... proposed more federal spending on education Wednesday when asked how to end the gas shortage on the East coast.
"I think that this shows that I think we have to make a greater investment in education as it relates to being able to train and graduate more people proficient in cybersecurity," Biden said when asked how to alleviate the crisis.
The president spoke about the gas shortage — sparked by a ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline — after delivering remarks about fighting the ongoing coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... pandemic.
"I think that one of the most important things we have to do to reclaim our place as the leading innovator in the world is to have a better-educated workforce," Biden said, admitting his answer was not a "direct response" to the question.
Biden expressed sympathy for Americans suffering from spiking gas prices but did not offer any immediate solutions.
"Gasoline. Price is going up. Exactly right. And it matters if you make $40,000 a year, it matters if you’re a two-family person making $80-$90,000, two fam.. wage earners, it matters," he said.
The president said his administration was working closely with the executives of the Colonial Pipeline to get it back online and previewed good news in the next 24 hours.
The White House struggled to respond to the crisis after initially resisting acknowledging a gas shortage. By Tuesday, Biden officials said there was not a shortage but a "crunch."
On Wednesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki ...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama... struggled to explain the administration’s evolving understanding of the problem.
"On Monday afternoon — so 48 hours ago — we said ’at this moment there is not a supply shortage’ that was accurate, ’at this moment.'" she told news hounds. "We also said that we are continuing to monitor very closely what the impact will be."
[TOWNHALL] When it comes to earmarks, both parties are horrible. They’re now trying to call this pork "Congressionally Directed Spending" rather than earmarks, thinking it somehow sounds better. It kind of does, as long as you don’t think about it. The real problem isn’t whether Congress directs where the money is spent or some faceless bureaucrat does, it’s the spending in the first place. Reminder: The purpose of politix is not to govern; it's to funnel money to 1.) relatives and 2.) donors.
Here are some examples of what Members of Congress think are important enough to spend our great-grandchildren’s money on (let’s be honest, our money, our kid’s money, and our grandkid’s money is already long gone at this point).
Representative Kathy Castor (D-Florida) earmarked $7.7 million for a street car project in Tampa, because it’s 1900 again, or something.

Actually we were not "conned." Most Americans did not vote for this shit.
And I'd wager that most Biden voters didn't expect him or his puppet masters to issue nearly a hundred EOs and then pass the most ridiculous spending bills we've ever seen -- way beyond the expectations of the most economically illiterate leftist.

You need to back up to Wilson to understand.
Before Wilson...
Most of the Federal Budget was funded by tariffs and alcohol taxes.
Senators were appointed by governors or the state house.
There was no federal income tax.
The Fed was just a gleam in the eye of some bankers. That implies most money was metal or Treasury Notes - not yet a Federal Reserve so no Fed Notes.
Other than Wyoming most places women didn't vote and most were not that educated.
Even the Klan wasn't marching in most streets.
Enter Wilson.
For some reason he wanted prohibition but that would require a new source of money. All of the need might require inexperienced voters (certainly not vested in the state ones like property owners) {not much different than illegal aliens or fake ballots voting} There was no way the current Senators would go with the changes...
So create the Fed.
Create Income Tax to replace the planned loss of booze tax.
Change senators to elected.
Change women into voters who would swoon over the democrats who "liberated" them...
For some reason let the Klan have huge rallies including massive pro-Wilson ones in D.C. - (Implying that he was the Confederate's Man?)
Outlaw booze.
Have a huge increase in democratic voters from all the under educated women that gave the Democratic party a win for the next 100 years!
Have a voter base with no stake in the country.
With Biden we see the same game plan in full swing today. Illegals HO!.. Pot and drugs Ho!
Voters with no stake in the country and no fears of whoring for their leaders.

I seem to recall that President Wilson had a strong prejudice against Blacks, resegregating the federal bureaucracy and the Armed Forces, and so forth.
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Fox News news hound Bill Melugin reported Wednesday evening on Special Report that the Biden administration will resume construction of a 13.4 mile section of President Trump’s border wall in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.
Melugin posted about his report to Twitter, "BREAKING: .@FoxNews has confirmed via the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that construction on a 13.4 mile stretch of border wall in the Rio Grande Valley will *RESUME* after pressure from local residents & politicians. The Biden admin previously halted all wall construction in Jan."
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] In his exclusive essay for DailyMail.com, SBA president Ed Mullins blames Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio ...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him... and fellow officials for New York City's descent into lawlessness
The Big Apple, which is still reeling from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, has also been experiencing an uptick in crime and violence
It faced further turmoil in the summer when protesters took to the streets on a near nightly basis urging officials to defund the police

According to Mullins, 'the 2020 "reform" package has done nothing but kneecap the police and increase violent crime to levels not seen since the early 1990s'
Shootings in the city have risen by 166 per cent from April 2020 to the same month this year
