#2 ...There's a distinct possibility that this was dropped yesterday to help tamp down Congressional response - which is going to be furious.

The bottom line, however, is that Congress refused to allocate the money to get the other options, and Starship is the low bidder. Plus, it works, or at least works better than the other options and at least exists, which is more than one can say for the NASA options. Stay tuned, this may not be over yet....
