No it didn't! If it had CNN, MSNBC would have covered it. Or at least mentioned it.

[AlAhram] The faceless myrmidons belonged to a takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who most be killed... cell the security forces had targeted in April in a pre-emptive strike in the capital.
Egypt's security forces killed two "extremely dangerous terrorists" after an exchange of fire in Qalioubiya,
...a governorate on the northern outskirts of Greater Cairo...
north of Cairo, the interior ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The two men, aged 37 and 42, were planning to carry out hostile operations, the ministry stated, adding that the faceless myrmidons had sought refuge in an apartment in Qalag district, Qalioubiya.
An automatic rifle, a gun, and several types of bullets were found with the terrorists, according to the ministry.
The two men belonged to a takfiri terrorist cell that the security forces targeted in April in a pre-emptive strike in the capital. The ministry at the time affirmed that the cell planned to carry out terrorist attacks during the Easter holiday.
During the April raid on a hideout in El-Amiriya neighbourhood in eastern Cairo, security forces killed seven terrorists. One officer was killed during the exchange of fire.
Several terrorist attacks have been launched against civilians, Christians, security and army forces, and Moslem worshippers since the ouster of Islamist president Mohammed Morsi and the dispersal of his supporters’ sit-ins in 2013.

[Breitbart] Security sources confirmed the deaths of at least 30 people in Nigeria this weekend after suspected Islamists once again attacked the convoy of Borno Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.
Sources who spoke with Agence France-Presse (AFP) said that the death count was higher following the discovery of more bodies that included 12 policemen, five soldiers, four members of a government-backed militia, and nine civilians.
"The tally has increased to 30 as many bodies were picked in the surrounding areas after the attack," one of the sources told the agency, adding that "many people were injured."
Another security source corroborated the death toll of 30 from the ambush and confirmed that the militants seized eight vehicles.
"The terrorists made away with an armored personnel carrier, a gun truck, and six sports utility vehicles in the convoy," the source said.
A second attack took place on Sunday as Zulum was returning to the state capital, Maiduguri, following a visit to the town of Baga. The BBC reported that attackers used a donkey strapped with explosives when targeting the convoy, but did not injure anyone within it. Authorities documented attacker deaths but the number remains unknown publicly.
Authorities believe the perpetrators to be Boko Haram, a jihadist organization born in Maiduguri that Nigerian authorities claim to have splintered over the decision to rebrand as an arm of the Islamic State, Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), in 2015. Nigerian law enforcement insists that Boko Haram and ISWAP are now two different groups. Their decade-long insurgency across northeast Nigeria has inflicted untold damage upon the region, killing 36,000 and displacing more than two million people.

[ARABNEWS] Authorities in Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... announced on Monday that 10 alleged members of a terrorist cell were arrested on Sept. 23.
Some of them are believed to have received military and field training at sites belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards between Oct. 29 and Dec. 8, 2017. A front man for the Presidency of State Security added that the suspects had also been trained to make explosives.
"Three of those arrested had been trained in Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... while the rest were linked to the cell in various roles," he said. The locations of the arrests were not given and identities of those arrested cannot be be revealed at this time for legal reasons, he added.
The front man said a cache of weapons and explosives was confiscated at a house and a farm. It included nine bombs, four Kalashnikov machine guns, a Heckler and Koch G3 rifle, a sniper rifle, two pistols, an air rifle, 4,620 rounds of ammunition, 18 machine gun and pistol chambers, 14 knives, and military uniforms.
Other items included 5.28 kilograms of gunpowder, 67 explosive fuses, 51 electric detonators, a welding machine, and a range of capacitors, electrical transformers and electronic components used to make bombs.
Investigations are continuing into the activities of those who were arrested and to identify others they might have been working with inside and outside the Kingdom.
The presidency reiterated its determination and resolve to confront criminal schemes and arrest all who attempt to destabilize the security and stability of the Kingdom, and threaten the safety of those who live there.
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said on Sunday it had foiled a "terrorist attack" early this year that was backed by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
The statement confirmed earlier media reports about an alleged planned attack and added a timeframe.
On Sunday, Saudi state television ... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
al-Ekhbariya and Bahraini newspaper Akhbar al-Khaleej reported that Interior Ministry investigations found that a new group called the "Qassem Soleimani Brigade" had planned to attack several public and security structures in Bahrain.

Is it appropriate to speculate at this time that we have John McCain and Baraq Obama to thank for the instability in Syria that has led to Erdogan using Syrian mercenaries to destabilize the entire region?

We have a lack of backbone by the state department for nearly 2 decades, going back to when they denied entry to US Forces during OIF, with no real consequences for Erdogan. A swift kick in the ass back then would have allowed rapid entry and pacification of the region where ISIS grew. And on a more direct note, bloodying Erdogan's nose then might have stopped his power grab, and encouraged his military to give him the MB treatment like the Egyptians did theirs.

[ARABNEWS] The mistreatment of Kurds in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... is under the spotlight again following allegations of torture and food poisoning.Three politicians from the pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) who were recently arrested said they were hospitalized with food poisoning during their detention, while Amnesia Amnesty International has demanded the government investigate allegations that two Kurds were thrown out of a military helicopter.
The government accuses the HDP of ties to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and thousands of its members have been prosecuted for the same reason, including its leaders. The HDP denies such links. The PKK is designated a terrorist group by Turkey, the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... and US.
The HDP politicians, including Ayhan Bilgen who is mayor of Van province, fell ill after eating food served at Ankara police headquarters.
Bilgen was not immediately taken to hospital, nor was he allowed to talk to his legal team until after HDP politicians had talked with government officials to have him hospitalized.
The trio are under arrest as part of a probe into violent mostly peaceful protests that took place in Kobane in 2014. Their detention period was extended on Monday by another four days.
Amnesia Amnesty International has urged the government to investigate allegations that two Kurds, aged 55 and 50, were thrown from a military helicopter in Van. The rights group voiced its concerns about the "allegations of torture and mistreatment" which it said were unacceptable under international human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... law and standards that Turkey was obliged to comply with.

They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... militias of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali, on Monday justified the regular attacks on the US embassy in Baghdad by arguing that Washington has invaded Iraq and it is required to leave.
Media reports cited Iraqi and US officials on Sunday as saying that the US was preparing to withdraw from its embassy in Baghdad while keeping its consulate general in Erbil open. It came after Washington had warned Baghdad of closing the embassy if the Iraqi government fails to stop the attacks by the Iran-backed militias.
Khazali said in a statement today that no foreign diplomatic mission had been targeted other than the US forces and embassy, arguing that the attacks are because the Iraqis see the US as the invader.
"The attacks only target the US embassy, which is the embassy of the invader," media reports cited Khazali’s statement.
The Shia militia leader, who has already been designated by the US as a "global terrorist", is also against Iraqi government’s plan to investigate into the attacks against the US embassy, saying such a move may not serve the best interest of the people of Iraq.
