That is one fooked up article. First it's plural, then it's a photo (at magic moment) of one (1) person throwing a chair. And if that person is Bulgarian, then I am an eskimo from Brazil.

Version I read suggested odd things regarding body cameras falling off, being picked, and then told to drop them again. Don't know how credible that all was but odd if the cameras shot that.
Two weeks behind the bandwagon, so are we talking:
Incompetence
Rolling Cycle
Took this long to find a viable example
Way to punt on opening parks and destinations
Distraction from infrastructure failures
Urban leftist appeasement

I wonder how the new cases in TX are distributed. All in the big cities where they had demonstrations 10-14 days ago with huge numbers of people massed together?

[NYT] - The Chinese military says excessive masturbation and too many video games are among the reasons its physical-test failure rates have reached an "alarming high."
The People’s Liberation Army is now dishing out advice after one city saw more than half its candidates — 56.9 percent — fail their physicals, according to the BBC.
PLA found that 8 percent of candidates failed because of abnormalities found in their scrotum from sitting too much. Another 25 percent flunked because of blood and urine tests.
It recommended that candidates follow 10 basic principles, including exercising more, cutting out fizzy drinks and booze, limiting computer games and masturbation, not getting a tattoo and drinking clean water.
The advice was instantly mocked by users on social media microblog Sina Weibo.
"Next year they’ll be asking for circumcisions!" said one user.
The PLA has struggled to recruit new members, despite desperate measures to find candidates like releasing a rap recruitment video last year.
The Ministry of Defense last month announced the PLA would be cut from 2 million to 1 million — a move that some believe is due to a lack of new recruits.

Well, if the PLA goes back to the human wave attacks they used in the Korean War, the soldiers won't have to be excessively fit, will they? So who cares?

From my experience in the US military, m@sturbation and drinking were never the problems of failed PT tests.
Being a disgusting fat body that never trained was.
Zenobia Floger was just one of the many anonymizer nyms he used, Dron. For a while he reserved it for his frequent limericks, using others for straightforward comments and other poetic styles, so I have to assume he is one of the knowledgeable commenters here, now for some reason keeping his limerickal outbursts to himself and his slush pile.

One of the Ruger plants is just down the street in Newport NH. They've had a help wanted sign out for quite a while.
The market for guns is incredible. I've been looking to pick up a pistol for my wife and all the shops are down to the dregs. Ordering will take a while.
Think I'm gonna get her a shield .380 to start with.

Someone in marketing a long time ago focused on the woke crowd, the urban youths, the trendy kids of the privileged caste and those who want to be identified with them. Adapt or perish.

Early on back in the Old Testament when I was a kid, men were admired for doing what they thought was right and consensus be damned. Now it would appear that there is no higher or more desired accolade than getting your PC ticket punched. All concerns of honor, decency, or sere practicality being seemingly unimportant.
That said, couldn't happen to a better bunch and I earnestly hope it is the start of a long trend.
The superintendent of the Holyoke Soldiers´ Home was not qualified to run a long-term care facility and made 'substantial errors and failures', a report said
Among them was a decision prompted by staff shortages to combine two locked dementia units, both of which already housed some residents with the virus
When a social worker raised concerns about the move, the chief nursing officer said 'it didn't matter because [the veterans] were all exposed anyway'
One staffer who helped move the dementia patients told investigators she felt like she was 'walking [the veterans] to their death'
A nurse said the packed dementia unit looked 'like a battlefield tent where the cots are all next to each other'
As the virus took hold, leadership shifted from trying to prevent its spread, 'to preparing for the deaths of scores of residents,' the report said
Since March 1, 76 veterans who contracted COVID-19 at the home have died
Another 84 veterans and more than 80 staff have also tested positive
The report said officials with the Department of Veterans Services were aware of Walsh's 'shortcomings,' but failed to do enough about it
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A breakthrough that led to the creation of new neurons in mice could be used to transplant brain cells in Parkinson's patients and cure them of the disease.
University of California San Diego School of Medicine researchers created neurons in mice using a new, much simpler method that involved rewriting genes.
Parkinson's disease is characterised by a loss of dopaminergic neurons in a region of the brain responsible for reward and movement - replacing those cells could help to reduce or even reverse the symptoms of the degenerative disease.
Xiang-Dong Fu and his team say their findings suggest certain brain cells called astrocytes can be turned into functional dopaminergic neurons.
It is early in the research, but these newly produced brain cells could one day be implanted into a Parkinson's patient to help their condition.
'It's my dream to see this through to clinical trials, to test this approach as a treatment for Parkinson's disease, but also many other diseases where neurons are lost, such as Alzheimer's and Huntington's diseases and stroke,'
The study published in Nature was conducted in isolated human cells and in mice.
'Researchers around the world have tried many ways to generate neurons in the lab, using stem cells and other means, so we can study them better, as well as to use them to replace lost neurons in neurodegenerative diseases,' said Dr Fu.
'The fact that we could produce so many neurons in such a relatively easy way came as a big surprise,' the lead author on the paper said.
