[Mirror - UK] North Korea executed four officials from its foreign ministry after Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump's latest summit failed, a new report has claimed.
The officials are said to have been killed by a firing squad in Pyongyang earlier this month after Kim and Trump's talks in Vietnam broke off without a deal.
A Japanese press agency reported that the rumours were spreading through the secretive country after it spoke to a trade official who recently visited North Korea and a source inside the hermit state.
According to the report, North Korea had accused the four officials of selling information to the US before the Hanoi summit, causing it to fail.
The four who were shot dead, according to the rumour, are said to include a diplomat from North Korea's embassy in Hanoi.
However, Japan's Asia Press, which reported the information on Wednesday along with South Korean media, said the claims of the apparent executions have not been verified.
The verification of claims out of North Korea is very difficult given the country's secrecy and that its media is controlled by the state. Communication with the outside world is highly restricted, and the punishment for anyone caught sharing information can be severe.
There are also reports that Kim has given his sister a demotion and removed his right-hand man following the failed summit. But she was the Darling O' The Olympics™, so impish and cheery?

[Ynet] La Belle France's top administrative court on Tuesday rejected demands by Syria-based French women to be repatriated back to La Belle France, arguing that a judge could not rule on the issue given it involved negotiations with foreign authorities.
"The Council of State (Conseil d'Etat) rejects the demands for repatriation made by Frenchies and for their children, currently in Syria," said the court in a statement.
Western nations have been wrestling with how to handle suspected snuffies and their families seeking to return from combat zones in Iraq and Syria, as well as those in detention.
In February, La Belle France said it would not for now act on U.S. President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... The informant also reported that Dais was 'constantly on social media promoting ISIS' and that her accounts were frequently shut down for that reason.
Elizabeth Makowski, a spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney's office in Milwaukee, declined to say whether authorities believe Dais has any connection to an alleged plot in Germany involving Tunisian Sief Allah H., who prosecutors say created Ricin using castor bean seeds.

[DAWN] Qaumi Awami Tehrik (QAT) president Ayaz Latif Palijo on Monday lashed out at the federal government for its failure to protect the women belonging to minorities, claiming that the cases of their abduction and forced conversion were on the rise in Sindh.
Mr Palijo, who is also the general secretary of the Grand Democratic Alliance, was speaking to local news hounds during a sit-in organised in Talhar town by his party against persisting water crisis and injustices with growers, minorities and people of drought-hit Thar region.
He said it was responsibility of both federal and provincial governments to take stern action against those influential figures who were involved in the abduction and forced conversions of Hindu women.
He held the federal and provincial governments equally responsible for the lack of food, water and health facilities in Thar where, according to him, children were dying of hunger and people were committing suicide due to abject poverty and helplessness.

[DAWN] The National Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) for Polio Eradication on Tuesday notified two new polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set... cases ‐ both from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ‐ bringing the total number of polio cases in the country to eight this year.
According to the EOC, one polio case has been confirmed from a sample taken from North Wazoo and the other from Bannu. The National Institute of Health had isolated the wild polio virus from a stool sample of 22-month-old boy Hamza of Kot Beli, Bannu and two-year-old girl Razia of Ahmad Khel, Miranshah ... headquarters of al-Qaeda in Pakistain and likely location of Ayman al-Zawahiri. The Haqqani network has established a ministate in centered on the town with courts, tax offices and lots of madrassas... area of North Waziristan district.
An official of the EOC, citing the tense situation in parts of the province, also confirmed that the ongoing polio eradication drive has been suspended in 24 union councils of Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. The campaign was suspended after a large number of people staged a protest demonstration and resorted to violence following reports that a large number of students had been brought to hospitals after they were administrated polio drops.
The EOC officials said that the campaign has been suspended keeping in mind the safety and security of polio workers.
Provincial Health Secretary Farooq Jameel held the parents of the two victims of the polio virus responsible for their ailment.
Talking about yesterday's events in Peshawar, he said that a fresh vaccination drive will be launched in the area once the situation improves and after parents' trust is regained.
"Those who talk about a [...] conspiracy [behind the polio vaccination] have no hesitation in providing imported milk and biscuits to their children," he regretted, adding that such type of events hurt the reputation of the country on the international level.

the Christian woman who was acquitted by the Supreme Court over blasphemy allegations last year, Dr Faisal said that "she is still in Pakistain but could leave soon".
"It is inaccurate to say that she has already left," he said. "She is at a safe location in Pakistain but when there is a court order in her favour, she should leave. In my opinion, she will leave soon."
The FO spokesperson was also asked whether "the foreign policy is influenced by politics or other departments".
Dr Faisal, in his response, maintained that the foreign policy is formed at the office of foreign affairs. "But the foreign policy is a combination of all policies, including financial, commercial and security issues," he said. "This happens world over. A country's security is linked with its foreign policy."

They took all her property and deposits as per sharia law. She cannot meet relatives for fear of putting them in the cross-hairs of angry mobs of red-eyed sasquatches. Where will she go ? Paris ?
She spends her life locked in one room of a small, decrepit house. The door opens only to give her food. Anybody who ever assisted her was hounded out of the country under threat of death.
She ain't Malala, a UN backed, prize-winning poster girl for legal-islamist quasi feminists.

Her family awaits her in Canada. We had this report on 15 April:
News of the impending release came on the heels of British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt’s statement in the UK Parliament earlier this month that Bibi’s freedom was being negotiated.
"Making sure that she is safe and has somewhere safe to go is a top priority for this government," Hunt told politicians. "We have had numerous discussions in private with [the] Pak government about how to progress on this. We are making progress, and I’m very hopeful that this will have a positive outcome."
Pak authorities confirmed to The Media Line that the necessary documentation, including visa and air tickets, was ready.
She is all set to travel abroad. We are waiting for the green signal from concerned authorities in this regard," a senior government official told The Media Line on condition of anonymity.
[DAWN] Dr Aafia Siddiqui ...American-educated Pak cognitive neuroscientist who was convicted of assault with intent to murder her U.S. interrogators in Afghanistan. In September 2010, she was sentenced to 86 years in jug after a three-ring trial. Siddiqui, using the alias Fahrem or Feriel Shahin, was one of six alleged al-Qaeda members who bought $19 million worth of blood diamonds in Liberia immediately prior to 9-11-01. Since her incarceration Paks have taken her to their heart and periodically erupt into demonstrations, while the government tries to find somebody to swap for her... "does not want to come back to Pakistain" and reports of her possible repatriation are "mere chatter", according to Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal.
Dr Faisal, in an interview with Independent Urdu, said that "she (Dr Aafia) will not come back. She does not want to come back herself, as per the information I have."
The FO spokesperson said that the only way the possibility of Dr Aafia's return could arise is if Prime Minister Imran Khan ... aka Taliban Khan, who ain't the brightest knife in the national drawer... and US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... met in the future.
In that case, "the exchange of Aafia Siddiqui for Shakeel Afridi could come under discussion," he added.
Dr Aafia's sister Dr Fouzia contested the FO spokesperson statement, telling Independent Urdu that "if anyone says that Aafia herself does not want to come to Pakistain, it is completely untrue." She also confirmed that the consulate office in Houston had met Aafia last month.
Dr Fouzia further said that "at one point it had seemed as if Aafia was going to come to Pakistain any moment." She said that she had been reassured by the government that negotiations with the US were ongoing and that "there will be a good news between January and March, but now silence has set in again."
"Aafia told me on the phone that she is ready to sign any document, and that she only wants to get out of jail somehow," Dr Fouzia was quoted as saying.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year, Dr Aafia's sister, Dr Fouzia, had requested Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi to take up the matter with the US.
The foreign minister had said that the issue of Dr Aafia's repatriation was "being considered", following which Consul General in Houston Aisha Farooqui had met Dr Aafia and urged the US to "respect her human and legal rights".

In case you were wondering... Aafia Siddiqui is an MIT-trained Pakistani neuroscientist, who in 2010 was convicted of seven counts of attempted murder and assault of US personnel and is serving her 86-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center, Carswell in Fort Worth,
Fascinating debate aside, I kinda sorta suspect she ain't going anywhere soon.
[IsraelTimes] Gazoo-based terror group managed to turn agents in sensitive units, including the preventative force that works alongside Israel to thwart Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", activity in West Bank.
Hamas has managed to recruit members of the Paleostinian Authority’s security forces into the terrorist group over the past year, including some in sensitive units that work alongside Israel to thwart Hamas terror activity in the West Bank, according to a newspaper report on Tuesday.
The Paleostinian Authority’s intelligence agents caught wind of the breach, launching a covert crackdown on the Hamas spies several months ago that saw several security officers tossed in the clink Please don't kill me! after confessing to working for the terror group, according to Yedioth Ahronoth, which cited Paleostinian sources.
The report said Paleostinian security officers were reeled in to work for Hamas either through bribes and financial incentives, or through the jailing of their relatives in Gazoo.
Leaders of Hamas in Gazoo and abroad oversaw the recruitment of the PA security officers, the report said.
The officers were asked to convey sensitive intelligence to the Gazoo leaders on PA security operations, including against Hamas cells in the West Bank. Some were told to plant false information to mislead the PA forces.
Hamas managed to infiltrate various units, including the Preventative Security Service that works with Israel to foil terror attacks (and is the equivalent to the Shin Bet security service in Israel), intelligence, and the Paleostinian police, among others, the report said.
The PA has largely thwarted the infiltration after jailing suspects who admitted they were serving Hamas, the report said, and PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial... was updated throughout on the secret investigation.
But concerns linger that other Paleostinian security officers, who recently have received only 50 percent of their monthly salaries amid a budget crunch, could easily be enticed to work for Hamas for the money.
In response, PA security forces front man Adnan Damiri appeared to pour cold water on the report, telling the Wafa news site that: "There are two persons from the security services who were placed in durance vile Please don't kill me! two years ago on suspicion of leaking information to Hamas," Damiri said. "Statements like the ones the Hebrew press is launching against the security services raise some doubts for us about who is behind them."
Yup, most likely. General Ali Nasiri mysteriously disappeared and then showed up in a US embassy in an Gulf country with a treasure trove of intelligence documents. This was the guy who used to head the counter-intelligence ops for Iran.
[MOBILE.ALMASDARNEWS] The United States has pledged that its military will fly and sail wherever the international law allows ensuring the safety of commercial and non-commercial traffic in response to Tehran’s warning to close the Strait of Hormuz, US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook said in a press briefing on Tuesday.
"Iran on a fairly regular basis makes sort of extortionist threats and blackmail demands. This is part of the regular course of their business," Hook said. "They’ve threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz more times than I can count. The United States military will fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows, that’s partly to ensure protection of the global commons so that it can be safe for commercial and noncommercial traffic."
The comment referred to the Monday’s statement by the head of the Revolutionary Guard Corps navy force, Alireza Tangsiri, who said that Iran will close the Strait of Hormuz if the country is unable to use it, according to Fars News Agency.
The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow stretch of water between the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, is considered one of the world’s most important choke points for world oil supplies. More than 18 million barrels of oil pass through the narrow waterway each day, accounting for 30 percent of the world’s oil shipments by sea, according to the US Energy Information Administration.
Iran’s statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz came in response to the US decision to end its sanctions waivers for importers of Iranian oil starting on 2 May. Washington’s aim is to eventually cut Iranian oil imports to zero, which is likely to have a significant impact on the country, where oil exports serve as one of the main sources of revenue.
Previously, US economic sanctions on Iran had been lifted as part of the nuclear agreement. But in May 2018 US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... announced his country’s withdrawal from the deal and the reinstatement of sanctions.

I can't help but think, well before regime change, the Iranians will react in a violent way. Thru proxies and direct military confrontation against the US and allies (not Germany) especially Israel they will attack. I hope that Bolton and Pompeo have thought this out. It will get ugly.

Matter of time before the Persians swarm a ship in the straits.. no room for a blue water boat to maneuver, so I think the first contact will cause serious loss. One hopes there is a plan ready for massive retaliation. Think Gulf of Tonkin scenario.

There are large Iranian populations in Detroit and Los Angeles, I believe...
[MOBILE.ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian and Ottoman Turkish presidents reached an agreement on September 17th, 2018 to implement a 20km-deep "demilitarized zone" along the Syrian Arab Army-jihadist front-lines in the Idlib, Hama, Latakia, and Aleppo governorates.
However, today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday... despite claims of successfully implementing the Sochi Agreement by both Russia and and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the most dubious NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... ally.... , the reality is that there is no demilitarized zone and there is no ceasefire.
In fact, the Sochi Agreement has done little to end the violence that is plaguing northwestern Syria.
The agreement itself is nothing more than Turkey protecting their interests in Idlib while they send their allied rebel forces (National Liberation Front ...the Turkic paramilitaries intended to replace with their native jihadi ferocity all the highly trained Turkish soldiers Sultan Erdogan I the much beloved has jailed in the last few years for not worshipping the ground he walks upon. The Uighurs and so forth who did not join Al Nusra or ISIS seem to have ended up here... ) to the front-lines with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Furthermore, as a result of this rebel redeployment, the jihadists from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham have taken over several areas in northwestern Syria, including most of western Aleppo.
With Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham now deeply embedded in western Aleppo, the total number of attacks on the quiet provincial capital have increased exponentially over the last two months.
The Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the terrorist groups in the Aleppo and Idlib governorates must be eliminated, but there has been little movement on the ground and heavy resistance from their Ottoman Turkish partners, who maintain several observation posts in northwestern Syria.
Prior to this agreement, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham had suffered several devastating losses at the hands of the Syrian military; however, since September 2018, the jihadist group has been able to regroup and carry out many attacks against the government forces.
