BREAKING: Goodlatte Says FBI's Peter Strzok Will Be Recalled For Contempt
[Townhall] After a contentious exchange between Democrats and Republicans during a House Judiciary and Oversight Committee hearing on Capitol Hill Thursday, Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte informed FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok he will be recalled later today and voted in contempt.

The move comes after Strzok refused to answer a question from Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy. Gowdy asked Strzok how many people he had interviewed as part of the Special Counsel before discussed impeachment for President Trump. Strzok discussed impeachment of President Trump in a text message to FBI lawyer Lisa Page just one day after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Bob Mueller to lead the Special Counsel Russia investigation.

#1  That was quite a circus. Clowns, dancing bears, and a Strzok had quite a visible smirk as he 'Declined to decline because his the FBI attourneysaid it was related to sooper-sekrit stuff, so: "In Your Face! Neener-neener!" '

We used to say he must have a turd in his pocket. (a close relative no doubt).

Ex-Trump aide Manafort says he has 'VIP' treatment in jail: taped calls
[Reuters] U.S. President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort has been able to review evidence and is being treated like a "VIP" in jail, prosecutors said on Wednesday, arguing against Manafort’s efforts to postpone his trial on fraud charges.

In a filing to a Virginia federal judge overseeing one of two trials scheduled for Manafort, prosecutors said Manafort’s assertions in court papers about conditions in jail, including limited access to evidence and his attorneys, were untrue.

In phone calls taped in his jail, prosecutors said Manafort had remarked that he was being treated like a "VIP", was able to receive daily visits from lawyers and had access to "all my files like I would at home."

Manafort’s prosecution spawned out of U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible collusion between Russia and Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Manafort, who faces charges including bank fraud and failing to register as an agent for pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine, has a trial set for July 25 in Virginia and another trial in September in Washington.

Last week Manafort filed a motion seeking to postpone the Virginia trial until after the Washington trial concludes. His lawyers cited restrictions on emailing and phone calls, and the jail’s distance from Washington, as factors that were making it difficult to prepare.

Far from restrictive, prosecutors said Manafort had been provided with a personal telephone in his cell, which he used for more than 300 calls with attorneys and others over the past three weeks.

Manafort also appears to have found a workaround to the restriction on electronic communication by reading and composing emails on a second laptop that is carried in and out of the cell by his legal team, the prosecutors said.

"When the team takes the laptop from the jail, it reconnects to the internet and Manafort’s emails are transmitted," the prosecutors wrote.

Could Democrats Nominate Maxine Waters For President? (Answer: Yes)
I'm pretty sure this isn't satire, but by all means - please, pretty please, nominate this woman!
[Los Angeles Dial (?)] - California Congresswoman Maxine Waters could become the Democratic nominee for president in 2020.

Let me repeat that, so it can sink in: Maxine Waters could be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020.

Ok, let me blow into a breathalyzer, take a drug test and get psychologically evaluated before I say it a third time: Maxine Waters could be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020.

How is it possible that a radical congresswoman, who was just called "un-American" by the leadership of her own party for encouraging viral confrontations with Trump administration officials, could win the presidential nomination of a major American political party?

It’s easy. Mad Max is the only one dancing to the beat of the "Resistance," and her album is about to go platinum.

Consider this, after musical icon Prince died in 2016, we learned a bunch of fascinating tidbits about the reclusive singer, including the fact that he had a wildly competitive rivalry with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

#3  Historically a party holds the white house for two terms. Trump has higher than usual ratings at this point, as things are currently going he gets reelected.

So the Dems would be smart to let their crazies take a run at the Presidency. If they lose they will be at least partially discredited and the Corrupt-side of the party can take over again.

Ex-CIA Director: NATO leaders should push back against Trump's 'reckless behavior'
[The Hill] Former CIA Director John Brennan on Wednesday blasted President Trump after he hammered allies about their contributions to NATO at the group's annual summit.
Leave it to the onerous John Brennan to muddle 'reckless behavior' with simple truth telling.
"It is in the interest of America’s security if NATO leaders push back against the reckless behavior of Donald Trump, who is dangerously naive & grossly ignorant of how the world works," Brennan said on Twitter.

"History inevitably will regard Trump as one of the most disastrous figures of the 21st century," the former CIA official continued.

He also shared a blistering statement from former Secretary of State John Kerry condemning the president’s remarks to NATO members at the summit in Brussels, calling them "strange" and "counterproductive."
I'm satisfied writing this fellow's eulogy will present great difficulty for someone, but I simply can't wait to read it.

#7  It isn't "reckless behavior". More like tough love.

Germany's armed forces are in such a bad state, several troops of grumpy cub scouts could invade successfully. Most NATO members don't cough up shit and Trump is saying this isn't sustainable, which it isn't.

John Kerry rips Trump's ‘disgraceful' NATO speech
[NYPost] Former Secretary of State John Kerry issued a scathing statement about what he called a "disgraceful," "disgusting" and downright "strange" appearance by President Trump at the NATO summit in Brussels.
"No, I don't own a mirror, why do you ask?"
"I've never seen a President say anything as strange and counterproductive as President Trump's harangue against NATO and Germany," Kerry wrote in a statement on Wednesday.

"It was disgraceful, destructive, and flies in the face of the actual interests of the Iran United States."

Kerry questioned why President Trump was rebuking our allies publicly while turning Russia, "who has been attacking America's democracy, into his fawned-over ally."

Trump, who has publicly praised Russian president Vladimir Putin, brashly criticized his NATO allies for not spending enough on defense during a summit early Wednesday.

"The President set America back this morning," Kerry wrote.

"He is steadily destroying our reputation in the world. he is undermining our interests."

Trump ‐ whose presidential campaign in under investigation for possible collusion with Russia during the 2016 election ‐ is set to meet with Putin in Helsinki, Finland on Monday.

WTF? Rosenstein orders Fed prosecutors to assist in reviewing Judge Kavanaugh docs
[NYP] Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked federal prosecutors across the country to assist in reviewing documents of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee for Supreme Court, a process that could delay his Senate confirmation, according to a report on Wednesday.
How does this compare to the vetting process of the last several Supreme Court nominees, and is it the deputy attorney general’s responsibility to initiate managing the process?
Rosenstein sent an email this week to the nation’s 93 US attorneys requesting each one to provide up to three prosecutors "who can make this important project a priority for the next several weeks," the New York Times reported.

The subject line of Rosenstein’s email read, "Personal Message to U.S. Attorneys from the Deputy AG."

Trump announced his selection of Kavanaugh in a prime-time television event on Monday night to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Will Mueller be brought in next? Where is the Attorney General? This vindictive fellow should have been fired a long time ago.

#5  Lisa H Barsoomian a US Attorney that graduated from Georgetown Law, she’s a protege of James Comey and Robert Mueller.

Barsoomian with her boss R. Craig Lawrence represented Bill Clinton in 1998

Lawrence also represented

Robert Muller three times

James Comey five times

Barack Obama 45 times

Kathleen Sebelius 56 times

Bill Clinton 40 times and

Hillary Clinton 17 times

Someone out there cares so much that the internet has been “purged” of all information pertaining to Barsoomian.

Historically this indicates that the individual is a protected CIA operative.

Additionally Lisa Barsoomian has specialized in opposing Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the intelligence community

And although Barsoomian has been involved in hundreds of cases representing the DC Office of the US Attorney her email address is Lisa Barsoomian at NIH gov.

The NIH stands for National Institutes of Health.

This is a tactic routinely used by the CIA to protect an operative by using another government organization to shield their activities.

It’s a cover, so big deal right, I mean what does one more attorney with ties to the US intelligence community really matter.

It deals with Trump and his recent tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum imports, the border wall, DACA, everything coming out of California, the Uniparty unrelenting opposition to President Trump, the Clapper leaks, the Comey leaks,

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusal and subsequent 14 month nap with occasional forays into the marijuana legalization mix…….

and last but not least Mueller’s never-ending investigation into collusion between the Trump team and the Russians

Between 1998 and 2017 Barsoomian herself represented the FBI at least five times

You may be saying to yourself, okay who cares, who cares about the work history of this Barsoomian woman?

Apparently someone does BECAUSE : Someone out there cares so much that they’ve “purged” all Barsoomian court documents for her Clinton representation in Hamburg vs. Clinton in 1998 and its appeal in 1999 from the DC District and Appeals court dockets (?)

Why does Barsoomian, CIA operative, merit any mention?
BECAUSE

She is Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s WIFE

That’s why.

Could he fire everyone and dare Congress to leave DOJ unstaffed?
